Last minute booking with my husband and baby, they gave us a 1 hour 20 min sitting. Another table of people arrived next to us, we needed to move the pram to make space which was absolutely fine and the other customers were very understanding. The waiter apologised to them for the pram being in the way and said “don’t worry they are leaving soon”. This made us feel very unwelcome and sadly ruined what was meant to be a nice meal out.

The food here is excellent and the attentive and friendly service from the team is the icing on the cake. It's not just the best Indian restaurant in the area but the best I've been to.

Some of the best Indian cuisine I've had, well worth a visit. Staff were very polite and attentive (especially Selim), if we're ever in the area again then we'll definitely be revisiting!

Another amazing meal last night. Food was perfect. Alsways consistent. All have great knowledge of the menu. Staff are always attentive. Especially Asad who has been there since it opened. I don’t bother going anywhere else anymore. Far nicer and more reasonable than Madhu’s at The Grove !

A beautiful resturant in our local town & it did not disappoint! The food was amazing, the lamb chops starter what some of the best lamb we've ever had & the service from Salim & the team was exceptional. Will 100% be coming back again.

We had a meal on a Thursday night quite late, the service is incredible more akin to Michelin star city dining than a relatively small local restaurant. We were one of the last tables but didn’t feel rushed and the staff were so hospitable right to the end. The food was exceptional, I order lamb wherever and whenever it’s on the menu and it was hands down the best the lamb I have ever had. Can’t speak highly enough of our experience.

We popped here on Saturday without a reservation, the restaurant was very busy but they kindly managed to accommodate us. We had a lovely table, and the service was perfect. The food was exceptional. A fantastic experience. Can’t wait to return.

Went Sunday, as my family had deserted me for a London show! despite only wanting a table for one, the waiter was very friendly and efficient. The food was really excellent, served promptly and always a smile! Little touches such as linen tablecloths, excellent pickles, did not go unnoticed. Best in the area easily, despite being very near Abbotts Tandoori, which is a 4.5 in my opinion. Will deffo be back soon!

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for a few years now and have loved the restaurant, love the decor and the atmosphere, food is amazing, the staff are very friendly and have a great sense of humour. My last visit was about 8 months ago and I went back recently for a meal, I have to say I was hugely disappointed when the bill came at the end of the night to see the shocking increase in prices, I know prices are going up everywhere but the dramatic change in the pricing here was insane. When we get poppadoms before our appetisers we normally get a few with chutney, I was flabbergasted that a poppadom was £1.20 EACH! Plus I was charged £1.20 for the chutney which is normally complimentary and no waiter said we had to pay for this. I then ordered Chicken Tikka for starter, cost £6.10 for literally 3 small pieces of chicken, chicken tikka masala for main, again about 4 pieces of chicken for £12! The drinks were no different, a bottle of J2O was £4.80! I can get a pack of 10 bottles for £6.75 in the supermarket, the same with a bottle of coke, £4.50! I’ve looked at numerous other Indian restaurants in the area and they charge nowhere near these prices for food and drinks, very disappointed with the cinnamon lodge, I absolutely loved the restaurant but it will be a very long time if ever again I’ll go back here if I’m being charged these amounts for a meal! Was an absolute rip off!

Lovely meal with friends. Some really tasty specials that you don’t find in your typical Indian restaurants including a lovely dessert.

We have had a few takeaways from here and just had to eat in, the food is fantastic, authentic and full of flavour...I'm so glad we did, it exceeded our expectations, we dropped in without a reservation and they happily squeezed us in. The staff were friendly and full of helpful tips with what to choose from the variety of dishes on the menu..Aziad was so attentive and helped with recommendations for our non spice eating children! Fantastic food atmosphere and friendly staff....we will see you again very soon!

Visited tonight as part of our 25 Wedding Anniversary celebrations and we could not have been made to feel more welcome by the staff. The food was superb. Perfectly cooked scallops and prawns in a beautifully balanced sauce made for one perfect starter together with a tandoori platter thar was sublime. We followed with light as air nan breads, a perfectly cooked lamb shank and a chicken passanda that managed to be both sweet and savoury. We'll definitely by back. Thank you to Azad and all the team.

Friends and family had been before and highy recommended Cinnamon Lodge. We went on a Saturday night, a group of 6 people. The restaurant was quiet, there were a lot of staff relative to customers. We ordered a number of starters to share between us and were advised it was more than enough. However portions were very small - 2 tiny slithers of salmon tandoori barely enough for one person let alone six people to share; chilli paneer had more vegetables than paneer with just 5-6 pieces of paneer per serving. That said what was served was excellent! Each person ordered their own main, a mix of curries off the large curry menu. These were largely bland and tasteless. A member of the service staff joked with us that he had told the kitchen to make them mild because we were white and then went on to boast about how hot he can take his food. A shame because unsurprisingly we actually wanted curries that had some heat and taste in them. My Goan Fish Curry was amongst the worst and most bland main dish I've ever had from an Indian restaurant. Staff were generally attentive but the restaurant may want to consider assigning one waiter/waitress per table as staff would come over and offer us drinks less than a minute after we'd ordered through someone else. Reviews on here are overwhelmingly positive but I'm not sure I could be tempted to go back.

Very disappointed with the service tonight! not once did anyone ask if our meals were ok, or if we wanted anymore drinks. We asked for drinks they were a long time coming. The food was very good, but they wouldn’t know that as we weren’t asked.. We were offered a complimentary baileys which never transpired! I understand they were busy but they could have come over to the table & explain they were busy & service maybe affected.. It was my first visit with friends & it may be my last.

Wow great meals, I’ve travelled a little and had many Indian meals around the world. By far the best I’ve had. Just a word of warning every dish had a great amount spices which I do enjoy. Will be back 👍.

I had another really great night at the Cinnamon Lodge. Fantastic food, in a really lovely setting. We were the last to leave the restaurant with no feeling of pressure to go. Really lovely staff with a special shout out to Selim who provided excellent service for the evening. I’d highly recommend an evening out there.

Amazing food. Upon arrival I asked if they would cook a special dish similar to Murgh Mussalam (chicken with boiled eggs), to my surprise they agreed and it was absolutely amazing. Selim our waiter was very kind as were all the staff at Cinnamon Lodge. I am a regular and will keep going back. Highly recommend, don't hesitate... visit!

Weve been to Cinnamon lodge a few times and the service is great and food is always amazing. It was a family members birthday today and they made us feel really special and gave us a dessert with candle on the house from staff member Selim.

Excellent food cooked to perfection and very friendly staff who welcomed us in at the door and took care of us all evening. I would say we found an outstanding hidden gem of a restaurant. We hope to return soon!

Went there looking at the reviews. The food was extremely disappointing. Not an authentic Indian restaurant. Took ages for the main dish to come as well. High prices for the taste and quantity of food you get. Wouldn’t recommend.

So I stopped ordering Indian food in Abbots Langley after lots of bad experiences time and time again from poor quality meat, sauces that tasted similar like they'd all been made from the same base sauce, mould in one of the pots with chopped onions, the list goes on... Last night my mum and I really fancied an indian and she asked if there was any I hadn't tried in Abbots and said I had never tried Cinnamon Lodge. Well, the food was DELICIOUS. Fantastic quality meat, beautiful sauces, fresh light fluffy naans, bahji's to die for. The sag aloo had plenty of spinach and fantastic flavour, the vegetable rice was light, packed with veg, non oily. It is a little more expensive than some of the others but I would far rather pay more, and have far better quality. Thank you Cinnamon Lodge for not just being the best Indian in Abbots but one of the best Indian takeaways I have full-stop.

Great curry, very friendly waiters. The best curry in the village. Amazing for takeouts, only had one wrong order before and they gave us the wrong order for free, replaced it and gave us a drink as an apology. Great service Knocked one star off because the drink prices in the restaurant are far too expensive. £4.50 for a cola is a little extreme , but the food quality is good price and very tasty.

First time visiting Cinnamon Lodge, I couldn't fault a single thing. The atmosphere was great. The service was fantastic, they were very personable and made you feel welcome, the staff also recommended dishes which were delicious.

Excellent food! We had the onion bahji and Paneer tikka for starters. The children had chicken tikka masala and we had the biriyani and the lamb xcutee. Great service in a really busy restaurant (which you don’t usually get) but hanks mainly to Ash. Highly recommend!!

We really enjoyed our meal here. Spacious restaurant, welcoming staff taking an interest in their guests; we overheard pleasantly familiar conversations with returning customers. All the classic "Hight Street Indian" dishes available and quite a few more to explore. We particularly enjoyed the starters - one of the nicest Chicken Tikkas I've ever had. The only slight disappointment was my main: I experimented in ordering the Goan Lamb Xcutee, which was not quite as exciting as I was expecting, but I suppose that's a matter of personal preference, no doubt others will love it. We hope to return and try some of the other dishes.
