My friend and I have been coming here for years. Whenever we meet this is the restaurant we go to. We are always greeted with a smile. The food is consistently excellent. Last evening we were served by Hamzah, he was attentive and efficient. Once again a great evening at your restaurant.

Hamzah was an excellent waiter, very kind, the restaurant atmosphere was very calming, the food was bang on, drinks were amazing. Owner even had a nice chat with us afterwards and felt very family oriented and friendly.

A good solid curry house, does what it says on the tin. Don't take a 4 star rating as the food being mediocre, It is good. Service was good too, it is a good venue with a good atmosphere. To get five stars out of me It needs to be spectacular. 2 stars is average so this place is above average, I will come here again.

I paid £8.95 (total cost was £47) for 4 bites of lamb. Way too expensive for portion sizes and quality. And the meal especially the overpriced lamb was room temp. Very very disappointed👎👎👎 not even a couple of free popapoms

Great food with excellent service would highly recommend

Visited on a Saturday night with friends who had never eaten here before and we all found the food and service to be excellent. In our opinion this restaurant succeeds where many other Indian restaurants fail by have a smaller menu but still with plenty of choice, enabling everything to be cooked very well. We have actually eaten here 3 times this year and standards are consistently good whether you visit on a weekend, midweek or their exceptionally good value banquet nights (Wednesdays and Sundays). We have a lot of Indian takeaways but we weren’t very impressed unfortunately. It’s on the expensive side but the price isn’t reflected in the quality or portion size. Some aspects of the food were very nice but some curries were bland, dry, and chicken overcooked. Popadoms and naan very nice but rice average. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very nice though and the staff very friendly.

Recommend the lamb Handi Ghust sagwala was delicious and service always impeccable

We've been dining here on and off since they opened back in the day. The quality of food, clean and smart decor and impeccable staff means you can't go wrong in visiting this restaurant. Still here and offering the all round experience of an Indian restaurant says something.

Dropped in here after the Warner Brothers Harry Potter studio tour. A great find 10 minutes up the road from the Studio and great service from all the staff especially our waiter Hamzah.

Abbots Tandoori was a restaurant we come across when in the area. We wasn’t disappointed, the ambience is relaxing, staff friendly and layout spacious. Food was yummy & portion size generous! Only constructive feedback which is off course personal choice for the restaurant is to offer a complimentary drink at the end, which has always been a normal for us! Would highly recommended and will do a return visit 🥰

Visited on NYE, with my husband and my mum and her partner. Very attentive service and tasty food, was glad to be sat at the back of the restaurant as the door kept opening and blowing the wind in. Our table was wobbly which was a bit annoying so perhaps a table upgrade would be nice?! But can’t fault food & Service. Would recommend for a local curry house.

We came for a special occasion and have been so impressed. The staff were attentive and thoughtful and the food was brilliant. I had the Abbot’s Special Balti and can’t recommend it enough! The lamb was tender and melted in the mouth. The toilets were clean and the overall atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

Wednesday evening we went as a booking of 8 and from the moment we walked in, to to moment we left the hospitality was great. Staff worked tirelessly to ensure us and other guests were well served and always kept on top of the service without disturbing us too often. Food was amazing, all fresh and served together. Would highly recommend!

Came for banquet night after hearing great reviews about the food, which was absolutely delicious and plentiful. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome, the menu choice was such that I struggled to know what to choose. There was so much of it I asked if I could take what I couldn’t eat home to have for lunch the next day, and was delighted to be given containers and a paper bag to carry it home. The toilets were spotless, and very well maintained too. There was only one negative of the visit and that was the price of the soft drinks which are absolutely extortionate- £5.95 each for a pint of lime and soda or orange juice or draught pepsi which doesn’t exactly encourage the patrons who are driving or don’t drink alcohol. Perhaps reduce the amount of food served on the banquet nights and therefore be able to reduce the price of the soft drinks accordingly. For those of us who aren’t local to Abbots Langley and need to drive to you, I’m sad to say Abbots Tandoori wouldn’t be top of my list.

Hi guys I would like to talk to you personally but couldn't find a personal review site so here it goes , tonight was fireworks night, so i understand it may of been busy, but food was disappointing , I have been coming there for years because i have never followed my goals and fled to countries that deserved to have me , but I have never had food as bad as tonight from your restaurant, I feel you let your standards drop , my lamb sagg was not great, it could of come from fray bentos tin ! my friends chicken tikka tasted like a domino bottled sauce and the coconut rice tasted like it had no coconut in it, I know he must be very upset with his life to order that peculiar rice but it made him more upset with his life than he already was, and he really needed a pick up, you guys let me down I hope you will pick up again and when I come back from my travels across the world in 4 days I will return to new improved dishes love you 😍

The food was very good as it usually is. The restaurant was very busy and we had to wait a very long time for our main course.

Wednesday and Sunday are banquet nights. This is to warn others that you have to let the staff know when placing your food order that you are going for the banquet otherwise you will be charged full price for dishes. We felt disappointed that we had to bring this to the attention of the manager seeing as it was banquet night. Our bill was amended accordingly.

Enjoyed the Wednesday banquet. Definatley recommend. Food cooked and served to order. A family faviurite if ours
