The best restaurants in East of England

We were very hungry, one of us having run Ely half marathon. We were told it wd be 20 mins for our food to arrive 😳 but…we were very soon given delicious warm flatbreads with dips and olives, salad - and then our food arrived. Sooo delicious. Perfectly cooked, generous portions - deffo vfm. Pleasant waiting staff. A really great lunch 😋😁

The food was excellent quality with ample parking. It's dog friendly.

Having spent 2 weeks visiting the regional pubs and restaurants I thought I would be visiting “just another average pub”. Quite the opposite. What a great place. From the minute I entered the staff were very friendly. I ordered the duck special which was exceptionally good. My wife had the crab linguine which was equally good. Definitely worth a visit.

Just tried the chocolate fondant melts here day and they were brilliant! The staff were really friendly too. 100% recommended

Phoned on 8 September and made booking for our anniversary lunch, 12:30 on Monday 23rd September, had discussion with member of staff about food intolerances and very much looking forward to going. Turn up for our booking to discover that it doesn’t open on Mondays! How come the member of staff that took the booking didn’t know to tell us that and why did they take our booking? Very disappointed to say the least, drove half an hour to get there and then had to find somewhere else at the last minute for our special lunch

It is really nice and quiet and the staff were really nice and kind and the drinks are really good

Really mediocre, super oily, no flavor, (I swear they add literally no seasoning), overpriced, bland and most of all gave me a stomach ache all day.

Only experienced a couple of lower rooms. Service was very good.

The food here is always fresh, hot and served quite promptly. It wasn't too busy midweek so the atmosphere was very relaxing.

Order time kept changing until it arrived 45 minutes late. Food was getting cold

Whenever Old Siam is suggested for a meal with family or friends, I will always drop everything to make sure I am there. The food is out of this world, always of a high quality and generous portions. Both dining areas differ in decor and atmosphere but are very welcoming and the staff are incredibly attentive.

Beautiful restaurant and nice food. Very slow service and they also forgot one persons main dish.

ordered food at 8:30am should of arrived 9 ish. time kept adding on. food arrived at 10:15 am and it's stone cold!! will have to heat it up in the microwave. £4 delivery charge for this! but the food in timbers is always lovely.
