Nice, welcoming place. Had a flapjack and coffee so didn't really sample the menu but both of these were good. A great place to get out of the elements too after a beach walk. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely place with great service, backed up with tasty food. Dog friendly, also some nice huts outside should it be a bit windy.

What a gem. Found this extremely well presented and staffed cafe after a recommendation. Food is quality produce. Staff very friendly. Sensibly priced and tasty options on menu. This hidden gem will be revisited as well as recommending to other friends. Thanks for reinstating faith in beach cafés. Keep up the good work.

Lovely little cafe great place to stop for a top up.

Such a lovely place! Great for lunch with the dogs after a stroll on Cart Gap beach. Check the times before visiting as serving and opening hours can change depending on the time of year. It's a must visit if you are in the area for not just the guest food, but also the cute converted beach huts!

Nice Scone with Jam and cream as they stopped service food at 14:30.

What a great recommendation from our holiday let. After a long beach walk we went for lunch. A selection of wonderful looking cakes were on the counter as we placed our order. We had sandwiches which were well filled with quality ingredients. Sat outdoors in the quiet garden as it was sunny. We then had cake & coffee, the cakes didn’t disappoint. Staff welcoming. Thoroughly recommend.

Great cafe with friendly staff, good selection of foods, dog friendly. Inside and outside seating, some outside pods for dining too. We would definitely visit here again next time we visit the area. Very recommended!

Oh boy was I disappointed with my fish and chips. The cafe is lovely and has lovely outside places, nice friendly staff and the food my 3 friends had was brilliant. However my fish was still running with water inside the batter which was soggy and doughy. It was truly awful. The chips were great. I ate the fish because I was hungry but left all the batter. I should have sent it back and normally I would but we were having a great day and I didn't want to spoil it. They need to take a look at that.

A wonderful cafe with a wide selection of delicious food for all the family. The scones were delightful and the staff are so friendly and helpful. It has indoor and outdoor seating suitable for all the family including dogs. Would highly recommend this great cafe

This is our absolute favourite cafe to visit! Great food, brilliant staff and great location!! Whenever we visit the food is ALWAYS as good as our last visit and our children love it. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Found this place by accident, whilst visiting the coast. Despite being busy (a testament to its popularity), service was fast and cheerful and the food was excellent!

Very nice dog friendly , nice little garden out the back. Had a sausage bap and a very nice coffee. Wish they opened in the week, didn't realise they only open 4 days, we tried to go again but they were closed, shame!

Popped there Sunday for a breakfast and was absolutely delighted with the food and very friendly staff.Could not have been better.

Lovely little find. Really good service, we ordered our food to go as we wanted to enjoy it on the beach. All well cooked and delicious. We will most definitely be returning. There was seating inside and outside and it was nicely decorated and quite spacious between tables. Dog friendly.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch in the beach hut style sheds outside. We had crab sandwiches which were generously filled with crab and at a very reasonable price for the area. Would 100% recommend, staff very friendly too.

What a find! Great cafe with lovely staff. We had sausage and egg bap and bacon and egg bap. Both delicious and good quality. Cappuccino and Americano great too. Will definitely seek this place out when in north Norfolk next time. Has a lovely little garden as well.

A great little place tucked away on a beautiful quiet beach. Seems quite well known, with its own car park. Indoor and outdoor seating. Staff were lovely and the food really nice.

Delicious crab sarnies but very busy in the garden and our dogs' reaction barking seemed to upset some people, including staff. "I'm glad they've gone" isn't really what one wants to hear from a waitress who thought we were out of earshot...

I can not begin to describe just how perfect this place was. Such friendly, helpful people. Great food, awesome coffee, and walnut cake. Good value for money. So clean, even the loos were clean.

We thought we had found this lovely little cafe after a long walk on the beach. We ordered crab sandwiches & and coffees, which were beautiful. We had our 3 dogs with us that were vocal on occasion along with other dogs. As soon as we left, the waitress cleared our table and turned to another group of customers and said, "Thank god they've gone." I was still standing round the corner, and she obviously didn't see me. This really upset me. I don't mind her saying that to her colleagues, if that's how she feels about customers, but to say it to another customer, I honestly think, is disgusting. Sadly, we won't be returning!!

Our monthly visit to Cart Gap saw us at the Small Sticks Cafe for Monday lunch. We love this place and have never had a bad, or even less than good, experience here. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the food is so delicious for a “cafe”! My wife had the crab sandwich special and I opted for a sausage, egg and bacon bap, with a side of chips… not being hungry, you see and of course, a pot of tea. Our food was with us in a blink of an eye and scrumptious, to say the least. I suspect all of the ingredients are locally sourced by their superb quality and taste. We always go for a long walk along the beach after our lunch, followed by a cake or piece of flapjack, as was the case on this occasion. Anyway, as always, the food was delicious and we cannot recommend this lovely local cafe highly enough. It really is worth the trip out to eat here!

Visited bank Holiday Monday for brunch. Food excellent, together with friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Service is all really quick so not waiting too long even though quite busy. Bought 2 huge flapjacks for £2.50 each which were really delicious. We will be back when in the area again.

We used to love this place but sadly it is getting left behind....a lovely scone...but serving it with awful 'jam' in those plastic sachets is just mot up to scratch anymore. I asked for any proper jam and got a bit snapped at by the young waitress....they need to.up their game

Absolutely amazing food, impeccable presentation, extremely benevolent prices considering the quality of the produce .Toilet facilities Absolutely impeccably clean ,a credit to the owner and all members of staff . Will definitely be coming back and will be spreading the word.

Love this place! Great food, so good we went twice in our 5 day break! Staff very helpful and amenable . Spotless toilets, lovely beach huts outside to sit in if any are free and outside seating area. Dog friendly to a point…not allowed in cafe building but can sit outside or in the beach huts. Would definitely return!

Just loved this cute cosy cafe. We went after lunch time so couldn't order food but we did order scones, carrot cake, coffee and chai latte. Everything was delicious. The staff is friendly. They also have outdoor seating which is good.

Enormous, delicious cakes. Great selection of drinks. Excellent service. What more do you want? Oh I know outdoor seating inside a shed; well look no further. We sat inside one the garden shed/mini team rooms with the dogs and it was lovely.

this was our first visit, it was a cool wet day and we were disappointed to hear we could not take our dog inside but could eat outside or in beach huts. We decided to have a look and was pleased to see the huts were nicely furnished and sheltered. We had beautiful sandwiches, great coffee and flapjack so good we bought extra to take home. Definitely recommend worth a visit

This is a little gem tucked away a few minutes from the beach. Lovely cafe, very friendly staff and excellent selection of breakfasts, lunches and cakes. They're dog friendly outside and have a couple of lovely little beach huts in the garden for dog owners. The coffee and walnut cake is incredible and the sausage was a hit with my dog. Coffee is good too.

Stumbled across this place, when looking for somewhere to get to food, after a walk on Happisburgh Beach (good old google) and what a find! Delicious food, lovely friendly staff and very pretty location! Good price for the excellent quality of food, I can't imagine anyone leaves hungry! Will definitely be coming again!!

Every single time I visit this gorgeous little cafe I come away smiling! The staff are SO friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, the food is excellent and the coffee is great (and I am a coffe snob!!) I love the dog friendly 'beach huts' that they have outside! A really brilliant way of eating with your dogs and so useful if they are a bit anxious or reactive to other dogs. And just to show how above and beyond the staff go, I sometimes come to the cafe on horse back after a ride on the beach and get a take away coffee. It's tricky to get back on a horse with a coffee in your hand so every time they come out and hand it to me when I am on the horse. Now that is above and beyond service! And always with a smile!

We visited Smallsticks cafe whilst on Holiday with our dog's. The place is lovely with a fairly large car park. We had a breakfast bap which was cooked to order and served very quickly and was delicious. This cafe opens Friday through Monday so have missed it many times before but well worth a visit.

Fantastic little find. We both had Fish & Chips and it was superb. Its tasted fantasic, crunchy batter, lovely chips, mushy peas and home made tartar sauce. No grease at all on the plate, plentiful amount and tasted wonderful. Service was fantastic too. Thank you x

We visited Smallsticks Cafe for breakfast with our anxious dog. We were able to sit in one of the lovely beach huts in the garden which on a breezy February morning was very much appreciated. The staff were all lovely and very supportive of our dog. The breakfast hit the spot. Thank you.

A great favourite when in the area. Friendly staff, good food and cakes. Well worth a visit. Nice courtyard in summer.

Lovely place for delicious cake and coffee after a long bracing walk on the beach

After a great windy cold walk on the beach we popped in for coffee and a scone. There is seating inside or out and some wood 'cabins' if you want privacy. Staff friendly, food and drink good. Menu looks delicious and reasonable including breakfast. Nice and clean counter area and tables cleaned as soon as people leave. Toilets provided just outside in courtyard if needed. Plenty parking space. Will visit again. Check winter opening times as closed some days.

Visited Smallsticks Cafe again today and once again it was outstanding. The service and staff were first class and the food was excellent, as it always is. This great cafe never fails to deliver and I can't recommend highly enough. Just beware if you are thinking of visiting to check on the opening hours and days it is open this time of year.

This is our favourite coastal cafe. We visit many times throughout the seasons and always enjoy it! Their breakfasts and cake are equally delicious and the service is always spot on. Highly recommend a visit.

Delightful, friendly cafe right by the beach. Delicious cakes and loved the knitted tea cosies! We were lucky enough to sit inside one of the beach huts, lovely and cosy. Would definitely recommend.

Love this cafe. Had a super breakfast sat in one of the sheds with our dogs. Very friendly welcoming staff. Cakes looked amazing, but that will have to be another visit.

Very nice place, friendly staff, hearty food, okay prices. Dogs are welcome outside. Can't quite give them a perfect score, first time we visited they were overcrowded and the second there was a seating mix up but they're a solid 9 out of 10

Lovely food and coffee. Nice lunch had by 4 adults. Had 6 dogs with us and no space in a shed to shelter from the weather but the Lovely ladies put a couple of tables under a canopy for us as it rained. Kept the worst of the rain off. Good home-cooked food. Well recommended

Great little spot to stop and warm up with a delicious tea cozied cuppa

Visited at lunchtime and had to wait outside for 20 mins before being allowed in to order. Another 10 minutes to get food. Cod and chips meal for 2. The fish on both was good but the batter on one was disappointing being soft and flat compared to spiky and crispy on the other - disappointing.

Great cafe and its just a short walk from the beach which is vast and reaches all the way to Happisburgh or the other way to Sea Palling. Coffe really good and food is really tasty served up by friendly helpful staff.

Lovely! 😊 Staff were very welcoming even though they were very busy. Thank you so much for that. We were seated and served very quickly. Breakfast was plentiful and very good quality. I was pleased to note that dogs are not permitted at tables inside the restaurant. However, they are welcome outside in the garden seating area. We highly recommend this restaurant, while the above applies and will certainly visit again.
