Bikash in Braintree

We had given this takeaway a bit of a wide berth as their standards had dropped but we gave it a try after three years and I an glad we did. Bikash have clearly upped their game and the food is now really really good. In all honesty I would say it's the best Indian takeaway in North Essex. The food was really tasty, the staff there really friendly and we will now be using them as our natural goto for delicious Indian food. My wife had the Chicken Tikka Main and I had the Chicken Jalfrezi along with the usual Pilau Rice, Sag Aloo, Bombay Aloo, Mushroom Bhaji and the best vegetable Samosa's ever.

Chicken tikka biryani was extremely spicy, so spicy that I couldn’t eat it.

The onion bahjee were not cooked all the way through. They were floppy and wet and full of paste in the centre.

food was okay. nothing special but alright

Food was delivered early but unfortunately my husband found a stone in his korma which ruined the entire meal.

I would only mention that a madras is supposed to be a lot more spicy this was not that at all and lus it arrived Luke warm quality is good but just disappointed about taste and delivery temp of food

Food arrived 45 minutes early which wasn’t an issue, however my curry had next to no meat in it. Safe to say was a very poor experience.

Always been fond of this restaurant long before just eat. Easy to order, ahead of time, everything as ordered.

The stuffed paratha wasn’t stuffed and had no flavour. Not much meat in the lamb tikka masala unfortunately.

We always love Bikash’s food but, on this occasion, the chicken tikka curry was in a bright red sauce which did not look appetising and did not taste as good as the usual brown curry sauce. The other dishes were as delicious as always. The naan was superb.

Food is absolutely delicious! And the driver was such a sweet man, felt awful we didn't have any cash for a tip!

Bikash always delivers high quality food but today's meal was exceptionally good. Everything smelt and tasted incredible and the bhajis were the perfect level of crispy. Absolutely fantastic meal as always.

Always been our firm favourite but tonight it was extremely poor. I had 5 pieces of chicken in a tsunami of sauce. Needed a straw not cutlery! Will use our local takeaway in future.

Always good at the Bikash, my go-to Indian. Tried the chicken and mushroom dopiaza for the first time - super flavourful!

We both enjoyed the food. The samosas were particularly good. It was hot and delivered in reasonable time. I shall be ordering from them again.

Not sure if it was chicken tikka Marsala but whatever it was it was delicious and hot also had Bombay potatoes which I didn’t order, Thankyou, just hope it wasn’t someone else’s order 😱

Butterfly king prawn was overly breaded. Lamb was fantastic, just lacked in quantity, would have happily paid more for more. Bombay potatoes needed for seasoning

Food is brilliant here! One of my meals was labelled up wrong I rung to tell them. Instantly they sorted another and dropped it off asap and was really apologetic. Service is brilliant I’ve used this place 4 times since I’ve moved out this way and will continue to use them. Great service, great food, 3-4 orders have turned up early and one was exactly on time. Never late! 6 out of 6 stars for this place!

Curry was totally covered in oil and nearly tasteless, Bombay potatoes were also tasteless too. Onion bhajis and naan were both really good. Unfortunately I probably wouldn’t recommend as the most important part of the meal was terrible.

realistic delivery times for a large order, food is always fantastic, never had any issues with delivery/ drivers/ warmth of food etc. prices are ok - you get what you pay for so very happy to pay a little extra to have hot tasty food with no questionable ingredients :)
