Outside area very untidy. Tables filthy. Will not return. Could not recommend at all. Bar maid polite with low skills. Top prices.

La mejor cena de carne asada de la historia , nos preguntaron si queríamos nuestra carne rosa y llegó perfecta, con verduras frescas bellamente cocinadas. ¡Es la primera vez que hemos sido y definitivamente no seremos los últimos!

Fui a cenar temprano. Mientras que el encanto del edificio y la comida era muy bueno el servicio por desgracia fue menor de lo esperado. Quizás tenían poco personal esa noche. Cuando nos sentamos nos sirvieron fuera de turno, por ejemplo, la pareja sentada después de nosotros pidió y recibió bebidas antes que nosotros. La comida salió rápidamente, no se le ofreció ningún condimento o salsa, a pesar de que la pareja a nuestro lado estaban, no hay check back, no hay oferta de recarga de bebidas, al pedir la factura recibimos la mesa equivocada (solo había x 4 mesas sentadas en este momento) Fuera de esto también como es una sala octogonal y ligeramente abovedada, desafortunadamente la acústica resulta en poder escuchar claramente la conversación completa de la parte sentada al otro lado. - esto sí mejoró a medida que la sala comenzó a llenarse hacia el final de nuestra comida. Lamentablemente no volverá.

Reservé The Crown Inn en Elton para el Día de las Madres como un aniversario de 10 años para el Día de las Madres de mi esposa, ya que fuimos hace 10 años, así que pensé que sería una buena sorpresa. Decir que me decepcionó es exagerar. La zona es preciosa y el pub es precioso, un entorno precioso. Conduje 1. 5 horas para llegar, ya que tuvimos un tiempo tan increíble la primera vez. Llegamos y cuando di mi nombre, primero nos sentaron en la mesa equivocada. Después de sentarme a la mesa durante 11 minutos, subí y pedí menús como nadie nos había visto. Después de otros 20 minutos, me levanté de mi asiento de nuevo y le pregunté a la camarera si podíamos pedir bebidas a las que ella estaba obligada, aunque a regañadientes. Luego esperé otros 15 minutos y tuve que levantarme de mi asiento para preguntar si podíamos ordenar. Esto arruinó nuestro Día de la Madre, ya que mi esposa realmente se estaba frustrando con el servicio. El servicio de atención al cliente creo que ha bajado cuesta abajo aquí, es una pena ya que realmente podría ser un gran lugar. Además, ni siquiera estaba tan ocupado, había un montón de mesas gratis, así que no había excusa para la falta de motivación para servir a los huéspedes, también teniendo en cuenta que la factura llegó a solo evadir £ 200 para 5 de nosotros (3 niños incluidos). Normalmente también daba una buena propina, pero estaba tan decepcionado y decepcionado que no podía dejar una. Debido a esta experiencia siento decir que nunca volveré a visitar aquí de nuevo. La mejor manera de describirlo es una hermosa puerta con bisagras muy oxidadas y chillonas. Nice looking pub. But I’m afraid it was a disappointment. Staff didn’t look like they could be bothered. It was very over priced I’m afraid. Food was nice but I thought limited menu. Not to everyone’s taste. Room was nice. But very very noisy on a night and in a morning when other people started to get up and using the shower which sounded like it was in your room not there’s. Yes I know it’s a pub and can’t help noise. But they do need to warn people when they put them above the bar area it was very loud indeed.Not to everyone’s taste if they told people then they can ask for a quiet room when booking and not above the bar area.Shutters in bedrooms need blinds as well because when it is getting light . light shines through. Cosmetically look great logically not practical.Some people want to sleep. Nice touch with fridge. I have stayed in a lot of rooms priced the same and I’m afraid this place just wasn’t up to the standards that I expected for that price. So yes very disappointed. And yes I write a lot of reviews and yes I always say what needs to be said. So things can get put right for guests in the future. Because at the end of the day they are your bread and butter. And when paying a lot of money things have to be spot on.

Die Umgebung, das Ambiente und die Gastfreundschaft haben mich vollkommen überzeugt, und ich freue mich jetzt schon darauf, wiederzukommen. Food was delicious, best burger and chips I have had in years. Friendly pub with a selection of dogs and locals to chat too.

We had a family birthday dinner. We were given a good room away from the bar and we were looked after really well in spite of the pub because very busy.

We visited the Crown Inn for our team Christmas lunch. The booking process though simple was slightly problematic as our deposit couldn't be located and it took a couple of days to get sorted. That aside, the menu was varied and provided a good number of options for our table of 12. Food arrived promptly, was fresh and everyone enjoyed their choices. Service was prompt and attentive and we would definitely come back again/recommend to others

This is my second visit and I’m afraid it didn’t meet the mark yesterday. Glasses had lipstick marks, the wrong meal came out and no offer of an apology or the time delay until the correct meal would be given. I was even told ‘but that’s what you ordered.’ The atmosphere was lovely, but I’m afraid it may be a long time before I return.

Stayed overnight with a friend having stayed many times before. Rooms well appointed and very clean as always. Food, dinner and breakfast could not be faulted. Service excellent. Not a lot more to say, worth every penny.

I celebrated my 60th birthday with family and friends at this delightful gem of a pub/restaurant. The staff were fantastic. Ella, Henry and co certainly went the extra mile in making my day memorable and special. The food was superb and plentiful. We stayed in Fotheringhay. Our friends stayed in Nene and Tansor. All rooms were top notch spacious, clean and comfortable. We will definitely be going back in the not too distant future.

My wife and I booked a room here as something special for an anniversary celebration. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The room we had was the burliegh and it was just stunning. It had all of amenities you would expect of a hotel with such a strong rating. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great, including the breakfast in the morning. We will be going back with family and friends at some point.

First time visitors having heard excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. Came here with my girlfriend for my birthday. Not too easy to find in the dark or fog and the car park was full but everything inside made up for it. Lovely warm village atmosphere at the bar and an even nicer ambiance in the restaurant. Excellent service, choice of food & drinks, and not too long to wait. The choices of steak and slow cooked pork shoulder were superb, presented beautifully, and tasted as expected. Looking forward to coming here again soon.

This was our first visit to The Crown and it was first class from the moment we arrived. The bar are and dining conservatory were beautifully decorated and the ambiance fantastic. Our food was tasty, excellently presented and just magical to eat. Strongly recommend this pub - it’s a real gem

We stayed overnight here as we needed a stopover in the area. Our room was excellent. Large, very clean, beautiful decor. Large bathroom well stocked with toiletries. Everything you could want, including a small fridge with fresh milk which was a nice touch. Breakfast was lovely as was the lady who served us. I forgot to get her name, but she was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. Highly recommended and situated in a lovely village just off the A605.

We went to The Crown, Elton for a birthday meal. The bar was busy, and we were served swiftly and efficiently by welcoming staff. The restaurant was excellently presented and was clean and light. The food was fantastic, alot of care was taken in it's presentation, and it was piping hot. Portion sizes are good and it's clear good quality produce is used as it was delicious. It's clear the chef or chefs take pride in their work (see photos). It was worth every penny. We will definitely come back.

The food was very good, of ample portion and served on piping hot plates. Good quality vegetables done to a tee. The service was a little slow (45 minutes from ordering). It was unfortunate that the fire alarm, (which was very lound), went off twice during our meal. The staff handled the situation well and assured us that there was no fire. The staff were very courteous and accomodating at all times. The music in the bar area was rather loud. The toilets were very clean. Overall, we enjoyed our meal.

It was a great place for food and it had good service but it was a while but that’s understandable,we would’ve liked more vegetables bcz there wasn’t enough but other than that it was very nice

It was a reunion with a friend who I hadn't seen for ages. We had dinner at The Crown and stayed overnight. The evening meal was very good - a nice choice on the menu; well cooked and tasty. The restaurant was busy but service was excellent and very friendly. Bedrooms were lovely and the breakfast next morning was excellent - a great variety to choose from. We love going to The Crown for a roast. The dining room is lovely and we always feel well looked after. The food is always exceptional. Great staff, great food, great drink selection and good parking in a lovely village. Could not ask for anything more. Those who were having the roast beef were given the option of pink or more well done, which was a nice touch!

From the moment I met the owner and looked around the conservatory I knew this was the place to to have my mothers surprise 70th. Xin was so accommodating, the meal choices for the menu were just excellent, the food was equally as amazing . Everyone commented on how lovely the room was to the food . We had a lovely afternoon . I hate to say anything negative I really do but just for Xin to recognise that we felt you didn’t have enough staff on, with 29 guests we had to wait for a few dishes a bit longer than I hoped and also whe going to the bar there wasn’t anyone manning it on the few times we would go to get a drink, obviously we know you did take table service but as you looked a little short staffed we thought we would go up to the bar which wasn’t any trouble for us , just a bit of a shame on staffing . A friendly destination pub in a pleasant setting. We received a warm welcome on entering and attentive service throughout our stay.

Very good steak. Busy restaurant which was rather noisy due to lack of soft sound-absorbent surfaces. Staff worked hard and effectively. Menu limited but dishes were well presented.

Selected The Crown out of alll of our local eateries for a Thursday evening meal and it was excellent. The wait for our food was quite long, although not excessive, but when it arrived it was perfect; a freshly cooked and beautifully presented meal. In our opinion the best local pub food we have had for a very long time. We will definitely return.

Had 3 rooms in the main pub on a Saturday night for a family reunion. Couldn’t fault anything. Rooms are gorgeous, very comfy large beds with very tasteful decor. Had drinks, dinner and breakfast. All wonderful. Staff very friendly Lovely location Will be back next year!

Haven't been to the Crown for ages as every time we tried to book, they were full so book early. Sunday lunch was as before, first class, food excellent, and service.

The staff were lovely and helpful and we went for parent’s birthday but the food quality was not good. Previous visits we could not complain but our latest visit March 2024 was terrible. We did give feedback to the staff and got a reduction on our bill but would have preferred to pay full price and enjoy a good meal. Everything was extremely salty and the gammon was dry. Overall we were extremely disappointed even though the staff were lovely, the food has completely let this pub down.

A quaint village pub, set on the green. Parking behind the pub. It's very popular with local residents. I ordered chicken casoulet, one of us had burger and chips and another ham and chips. We sat in the main restaurant which was light and airy, and quiet. Food was hot and well presented. From the pub there are several walks including down to the river and flood plains. The village is charming with numerous period homes. Nearby is Elton Hall and a garden centre.

Superbly understated. From our arrival the staff were relaxed and friendly. A few locals in the bar made us welcome and chatty. Room incredibly well decorated. Spotless. Food was AMAZING. Breakfast was a real hit! Full English beautifully cooked and good coffee. Highly recommended, and to top it all, set in a beautiful village.

Good food but Sunday lunch menu doesn’t show individual prices for dishes, just cost of two-course or three-course options. Service was terrible. Staff friendly and seemed enough of them, but took ages to take our orders, had to be asked several times to bring things we’d asked for, and not clearing the table unless we asked them to

Booked a Sunday meal for 2pm, 40 minutes after sitting down at our table, nobody had spoken to us, or given us a menu and couldn’t get a waiter / waitress’s attention so we left. Very disappointing and extremely poor service.
