Nice to find somewhere to eat later than 9pm. Food was good too and very reasonable ... thumbs up

Had to revise my review recently as we keep getting served cold food...happened 3 times now in a row. Great place but you only get a full to the top pint from the manager. Friendly staff. Bit manic on a Friday. Cheap drinks and cheaper than the Regal in Cambridge

We have visited this restaurant several times, the last three times it seems the kitchen take no notice of orders placed at the tills, for example my husband ordered a small brunch without eggs or sausage, the order arrived last week and today with 2 eggs and sausages, the staff did correct it but by the time his order arrived I had almost finished my meal, today I ordered the large all day brunch, it arrived the bacon was burnt and the eggs were thrown on the plate, one had no yolk, it had dried on the plate, the waitress said she would bring replacement for the eggs and bacon, by the time it arrived I had nearly finished my meal, we received a refund of £4.03. Not at all impressed.

For a wetherspoons it was ok, but the food service was slow as had to wait over half hour.

This is not the place to go.back area shut off all morning When i turned uo there was delivery driver outside with the whole food delivery smoking a fag Bins everywere near the stairs Im doing a walk for charity and i had to have a pit stop, had a few coffees and refills im a paying customer. I put my head down and i had a very very rude blonde lady looking like management bang dirty plates on my table asking if i was ok. I am so i replyed as such Then 40 mins later only 2 hours into my stay i put my head down yes i was a little tired before my charity run The next thing i know i have had dirty plates banged on my table a second time with the same person telling me i must stop falling asleep. Regardless of weather or not i am maybe breaking a policy in the rules banging dirty plates is not on this person should be tested on there customer service as i feel very badly treated

Not a bad place to go for meet ups and food had the breakfast was ok like they say you get why you pay for I guess wasn't that hot but what more can you say

we where on a coach holiday and one of our trips was to St Ives we stoppe for our lunch as we always look to find a Wetherspoons as we know we can always get good food and drink a and the staff are always friendly and helpful

Not fine dining, but great if you don't want to cook.

Had a lovely breakfast here today...I had the traditional breakfast and my friend had the vegetarian breakfast... really nice, unlimited coffee all for under ,£10... brilliant...very friendly helpful staff,went back after shopping to have another drink there,will definitely return.

Stopped by today 28/08/24 @15:00 and had a nice meal chicken mash and gravy. The coffee machines had run out of milk but once I informed a lovely member of staff she immediately refilled the milk supply. However it went downhill from there onwards . We then ordered apple crumble which was nice and a sticky toffee pudding and custard. As the toffee pudding was placed on the table we could immediately smell burning! Once the pudding was cut into you could see the centre was badly burned! My wife returned it to the serving area and was met by the rudest member of staff she’s ever met. The staff member Cat said it wasn’t burnt even though it was clear to see ie no liquid toffee only a black powder . Cat then said to my wife the pudding comes like that ! But spoken in a truly rude and abrupt manner. She did offer to replace it but my wife said no and asked for a refund. Cat then directed my wife to the duty manager. I believe his name was Aaron , who was very polite and professional made a refund. It’s a shame because everyone other than Cat we spoke to was very polite and professional and hard working.

Good outside eating area, the food was good and cheap especially at lunch time.

Good if you don't mind leaving your car on double yellow lines or walking for miles

What can i say. It's another Weatherspoons. A public house that is exactly how most people like a pub to be. TV could be tucked away a bit more as i don't like TVs in pubs...but it is v small and easily ignored. Toilets are perfect and love how Weatherspoons male stand up urinals are separated enough for a little privacy. Of course price of drinks well cheaper than elsewhere...still about £1.75 for a pint of Ruddles...amazing. Lovely beer too! Very happy....even my Jalfrazi was tastier than some Indian restaurant curries.

We like to use Wetherspoons when visiting a new place as you can never really go wrong. The food and drink are usually good value for money. The Swan and Angel is no exception, and the service is very good. The food on this occasion was OK but not exactly piping hot. We have used it on many occasions and will definitely be going there again. The only small issue is the cleanliness of the tables. Quite often, the plates and glasses are removed from the previous occupants, but the tables are not wiped down, and we have to ask someone to do this before getting our food.

Pizzas are normally nicer than last time, but apart from that, it was a good night.

We American breakfast , Pancakes were overheated in the microwave. It was so difficult to cut into them. Bacon on the plate was not crispy at all . I had breakfast muffin it was okay, but it was cold. Staff, it was miserable . Fast service though.

Update 9/4/24 Thought I'd pop in again to see if any better, served by a miserable barmaid. Sat on a sticky table. Staff messing about with each other. Great lol Served by the most miserable barmaid i have had the displeasure to meet. Horrible service

Been coming here for a while BUT I'm not sure what's happend today....ordered food and drink, had to go get my own drink at the bar after 20mins (whilst only 2 customers at the bar). Then saw my food get put under the hotlights and it stood there for over 15mins....shocked is an understatement

Had to wait a long while for breakfast we ordered, asked bar staff about it, said sorry we lost ordered, when we got it half food cold, no jam with extra toast we ordered, it's the worst wetherspoons we have ever been in, and we have been in a lot.

Ordered on the app. Food arrived quickly but drinks needed chasing.. staff friendly and apologetic. Current food and drink offers made this a very good value visit!

Staff blank you and serve who they want first.never in order. If you complain they make it there mission to blank you even more.its cheap for a reason . Possibly the smallest weatherspoons I've ever been in. But good friendly staff and patrons. For a weatherspoons it's really quite good

A decent pub with decent pub food.

The Swan and Angel is an excellent wetherspoons pub. There is a wide choice of beers, lagers, and cider, including some very nice hand pulled cask conditioned real ales. The pub is in a large historic building in the market square. There is a nice outside seating area at the back. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We both had the full English breakfast, and it was well cooked and very filling. The cask conditioned ales we tried were very good. We will definitely be back when we visit St. Ives again in a few weeks' time.

Really n8ce. Definitely one of the better Spoons I've been in. Pity about the long long road to the toilet, though.

One holiday in the area called in a couple of times and it was up to the usual Weatherspoons standard.Great value food and very clean and tidy.

Visited last night, ordered 2 gourmet steaks, beautifully cooked , excellent value, great service, highly recommended.

It's neat and tidy, you get cheap eats and drinks, I've generally had good food and service over the years.

Great prices for food and drink, not the finest quality food, but good pub grub for the prices you pay! The service is always hit and miss, sometimes you'll get the bar maid who clearly doesn't want a job in hospitality and a sticky table covered in empties, sometimes you'll have someone clean your table without asking, and do it with a smile!! Lovely small outdoor area and clean toilets!

Good reasonably priced food quick service. Friendly staff only complaint get more coffee machines because by the sound of other customers two are not enough as one keeps breaking down.

Air conditioning during those hot Summer days. Warm and cosy good value during those winter days ideally located St Ives high street.

Went to the pub to get some reading done and it was super mellow. Staff were super nice and I really enjoyed the Plum Porter. It was probably too nice and I didn't want to leave!

Sirloin steak & chips,peas, mushroom, tomato X2 was nicely cooked, enjoyed with pint of san Miguel & stowford press. Service was good, swift & friendly. Updated on previous review, beer & Cider good, food was delivered swiftly but was a little disappointing on this occasion, a busy Saturday. Food was edible but dry.

Tennessee Burger came out cold, came back having been stuck in a microwave, now hot but like rubber. Not worth the money.

The food was so-so, the curry with one pepper was neither peppery nor spicy. Fish and chips so-so. The flavors are different from Polish ones, which is obvious :)

Thanks to much to the efficient staff on duty today when my brother in law was taken ill, they stayed with us until the paramedics arrived, whilst still providing the usual great service to the other customers xx

Good microwave food. Took 20mins to come out, however. Hardly anything on the 3 for £14 so.ethimh deal.

5 went here at lunchtime service and find good, The toilets are excellent and very clean.

Fairly typical 'Spoons', food was good, quick service and inexpensive. A little noisey, but it's a busy place, can't really do a lot about it.

The meals were not as good as we have had before. The mixed grill was overcooked and none of the meals were very hot. Disappointed tonight.

Breakfast cold with pre-made, factory toaster pancakes, pre-made microwave bacon, left-over sausage, dried out eggs and no butter for pancakes. Our first experience here, not so nice. Called The American breakfast & was nothing like one. Only thing nice were our hot drinks & free refills. Maybe lunches/dinners are better than their breakfasts(?)

The swan and angel is one of the better weatherspoons so this morning we went for the large breakfast which was very nice..staff was very friendly and service was very quick..

Food was excellent been to many a weathspoons but was the best one so far.

Not to brag, but at this point in life, I've seen my fair share of 'spoons! This was a decent layout, fairly busy but staff were on top of the dining area. Really helpful with menu options and ordering, and quick on the draw with crayons for the kids! We experienced a slight imperfection with the food, which is absolutely forgivable on a busy Sunday lunch, but was impeccably resolved by the super hot blonde girl (possibly manager). She was apologetic without being patronising, compassionate without making us feel unreasonable, and offered is a choice of resolutions. Errors happen but resolutions like that almost erase them. All round, great dining experience. Would definitely eat there again. Ps. The cookie ice cream is insane!!!

The food, when it arrived, was ok although clearly ‘spoons are cutting back on portion sizes. But the service to table was appalling, they were not that busy and it took over half hour, the staff seemed zombie like and were getting orders wrong. Not keen to return!

Like all Wetherspoons pubs they have frill-absence off to a fine art but this one is frill-lesser than most. The food was what you'd expect but there was no Internet signal on my phone so I had to order on foot which made life awkward

Nice atmosphere. Service unenthusiastic. Had the Pasta Alfredo to eat which was microwave burnt. Tasted like hard cardboard. You could tell just by looking at it. Don't know what the waitress was thinking by serving it in that state. Didn't have time to ask for a replacement. My friend had the Beef Lasagna and was disappointed to find it was not the same product that is served in all other Wetherspoons. Poor customer service experience which detracted from the relaxed atmosphere and tidy surroundings.

Unusually, poor atmosphere due to the presence of a group of four loud and shouty visitors. They left soon after we did and I wonder if management had asked them to leave. Normally this venue has a most comfortable atmosphere.

Not a great experience today, food was cold unfortunately. I had scampi and chips which is a meal you shouldn’t really go wrong with. Scampi tasted very strange. Very dull atmosphere.

Great value for money good selection of alcohol well displayed. Very clean with friendly staff. Also love the old St.Ives photos.

Fairly typical for a Wetherspoons. Fast service, good prices and good quality food. The app is as cranky as ever, but still preferred to queueing. I'd definitely come again.

Nothing to dislike, food is about what you expect in a weatherspoons shame that quality appears to be dropping. Service generally good but at times so slow. All in all fair for what you pay.
