Parked here tonight second time I've been here car park is a bit rough but not the worst I had steak pie mash peas and gravy all in £20 including the parking, personally couldn't fault it and the guy next to me had the mixed grill and that looked very nice. Compare it to Peterborough services where it's £30 for parking and no food it's a no brainer give it a try it may surprise you. Will defo return.

Love the food at this place proper home cooked meals staff are friendly and polite always try there best to accommodate you even when very busy And parking is secure so much better than Peterborough service £20 for parking with a free meal and shower definitely worth a visit 👌👌👌

Simply put the produce is cheap, the service is bad and the car park is a battlefield. Half a mile away is a very good car park at a fully featured major services.

Ok, so you won’t take your first date here, but if you want some good food at good prices you need to try it. 3 breakfast sizes, small £5, medium £6 and large £7. Had the large, wow, didn’t manage it all.

Ok, so it is what it is. If you want posh, frills and fancies, then don’t stop at a roadside truck stop!! It doesn’t pretend to be anything but what it is, so if you don’t like old school greasy spoon truck stops then pass it by. Yes, from previous reviews, the car park does have pot holes big enough to lose a family car into. Handy to drop the Mother-In-Law into though!! It isn’t pretty inside, but I went in to eat, not take in the decor and ambiance. Service friendly, main meal of liver & bacon, veg, (proper) mash and gravy, plus a mug of tea for £6. Now what’s wrong with that?! And the food was good. The veg not over cooked, the mash was proper mash, decent gravy. Certainly value for money. I don’t care that it wasn’t served by someone in a ‘uniform’ or on branded plates. When I want that sort of experience, I go to those sorts of places and am willing to pay the premium for it. Today, whilst travelling up the A1, I wanted to eat and go, but wanted proper food not burgers etc. This certainly satisfied that!!

Although the food looked ok it wasn’t a patch on the food at Stibbinton just 5 mins up the road Place very tired and not very clean Girl serving also did the cooking and seemed to observe no kitchen hygiene cooking in her fleece and using her phone. Polite though!

I stayed here once and had food too. I caught the owner smoking in the kitchen while cooking food, they used the mop from the toilets to wipe a spillage on the cafe floor. The food was disgusting,cold,and under cooked. I complained to 1 of the women whose clothes were filthy and stained, she came and spoke to me from the kitchen while holding a lit cigarette.I was told I didn't have to stay there. The parking lot is full of pot holes. If you want horrible food and to be spoken to like a piece of dirt on the floor then this is the place for you

Pulled up here in my truck for a well earned break.the buildings are old and worn in need of a fresh lick of paint.the cafe wasn't particularly clean but the prices are good.staff were rude wearing dirty aprons didn't have to wait long for my meal but some of it was cold yet staff were uninterested in offering me a replacement.shower facilities were dated broken tiles no hand drier and a dirty mop and bucket.truck park was very uneaven huge pot holes even driving very slow i feared damage to my truck.i won't be returning here until hopefully new management........

Called in the cafe at 11.30 and ordered a large breakfast i substituted a few items iam not keen on which wasn't a problem. Food cooked from fresh and popping hot . Pricing reasonable Staff friendly

One of a diminishing number of properties truck stop English cafés left. Basic but clean. A real blast from the past. Serving exactly what you'd expect in the way you'd expect it. Massive wholesome hearty cheerful platefuls of carbs for not much money. The Bellybuster Challenge has never been won ( and rightly so!). But everything is cooked to order. Fresh and tasty. Friendly staff too. Give your custom to the small guy, not a tax avoiding chain of the type that set up shop in every other road services.

As a truck driver I have used this cafe for years, but today I was banned by the owner for leaving a poor review on Facebook. Firstly, the parking is so rough you risk serious damage to your truck no matter how slowly you drive... secondly, the toilets are disgusting..broken tiles, no hot water, no hand drier, no soap and an appalling smell. Also, having stayed the night and being told they are open at 0700, I waited til 0718 before they opened the door..the two women serving were dis-interested in their work to say the least and did not like it when I queried the late opening. I said the evening meal was good and the guy serving was friendly...I received a reply through their Facebook page with a semi-apology. An hour later the owner sent me a snotty message saying that, as I had complained before he was banning me and if I returned he would clamp my truck!!. This used to be be a decent, basic transport cafe but not any more...standards are now rock-bottom. Sad, but this place needs closing down or at least (another) change of ownership.

Stopped at Kate's Cabin, on A1 in Peterborough, great food, loved it, we also took food to go for later!....(What, don't judge me, saved me from cooking when we got home! hahaha) There was lots of parking, food was good, portions were really, really good, and the price was good, great value, staff were lovely, i will definitely, definitely eat here again!.........,

Right by the A1, this Cafe is a hidden gem. Awesome cafe fare – go for the Full English or Bubble and Squeak... Try it...you won't be disappointed.
