Love this relaxing dog friendly pub

A pleasant environment for a friendly drink, lunch or evening meal. Friendly efficient staff and a good basic menu of well cooked and well presented meals. Located with the Harlow town park with a pay and display car park a very short walk from the pub.

Only popped in for a pint 1st time in the Greyhound was very impressed, clean, warm welcome and a nice pint

Very nice place, staff is excellent, food is delicious. You can bring your dog to the pub, can't even think of bad things, everything is positive

The Greyhound is a pub in a middle of a public park and if you have the weather on your side then it's great to sit outside and chill out with a beer. The inside doesn't look that big but there is a huge outside drinking area set up with benches. It is a pet friendly venue and when we were we met dogs from neighbouring tables who were more than happy to say hello and seemed to enjoy the experience.

Couldn't tell you what the food is like but it's a nice pub and friendly staff.

Great location & atmosphere. But do not order the burgers if you want nice quality meat. They're big and full of gristle. Nice pub and enjoyed sitting outside in the sunshine, but we spent over £75 on food and no one enjoyed it.

Great pub, went to a friend's 60th, staff were super efficient. It actually stopped raining that evening, which allowed us to go outside. It's been a while since I last visited there. As with all pubs, you can't stop thinking the £21 you spent on 3 drinks could have bought you a bottle of Vodka. But, I guess that's me being anti social, age related I daresay lol. Worth a visit.

The Greyhound pub is in Harlow town park. It makes a relaxed spot for lunch with plenty of indoor and outdoor tables. Service was prompt and friendly. Food was above average pub fare - which also includes vegetarian and vegan options. The park itself is looking lovely and makes a pleasant day out.

We were made to feel really welcome as soon as we arrived. Almost instantly our dog was brought water and we were given a quite place to sit all the team were friendly and the food I had the homemade lasagna it was superb there was a good choice on the menu will be back thank you

With my wife, had a couple of drinks. Haven't been here since well before the pandemic. Lovely setting in Harlow Town Park. Refurbished bar and seating, completely new toilets/wash room, which were not good before. Range of beers OK, Pinot wine good. Didn't eat but menu looks good. Friendly staff. Will come again.

Cosy family run pub in a wonderful setting. Perfect for families who want some food and a relaxing drink. Owners have done a great job bringing an old landmark in town back to life

Food was really nice, it was late afternoon on a sunday and waiting time for food was short.

I sometimes come here in the evening with the dogs for a drink. Friendly staff who also love dogs.

When I went they had a good selection of beer including Broadside, but not always a lot of choice or real brown beer. I was at an event and the food they provided was very good.

Brilliant Pub situated right in the heart of Harlow Town Park. The pub itself has a brilliant outside area with benches, parasols and even sofas on the terrace area. Have been a few times and the staff seem polite, friendly and helpful. Drinks are modestly priced (£5ish per pint) which coming from London is a breath of fresh air. Dogs are welcome which is always a brilliant site to see and I have no doubt I will be back in the coming months!

Food and dogs just don't mix took the grandchildren for lunch, to hot to eat outside so we went in, dogs wondering around eating the food that was dropped on the floor by the children, who are very wary of dogs. Just be aware if you do go to expect a dog friendly pub. Food so so and I found a little expensive! Staff friendly enough, just thought as near to town park would be nice for lunch

Wonderful pub. In the middle of the park (sort of an old village setting). Food very good. Would recommend the vegan Thai burger over the vegan burger. Decent beers. Polite, friendly staff and good service. Plenty of outdoor seating by a quiet road

Absolutely horrible people who own this place. We have just left before our food came out and asked for a refund. We have 3 young children and usually if we go to a restaurant we ask that the food comes out slightly cooled or not on a piping hot plate ,because otherwise they will burn themselves and it takes ages to cool the food down whilst our own food gets stone cold. Restaurants usually understand and do their best to help us. But the lady who owned this place came out with an attitude and told us it is absolutely impossible . They mentioned food regulations which is ofcourse understable . However there was no need to speak to us the way she did, we are reasonable people. Then the chef came out and basically came out to give us a piece of his mind. So i asked for my money back and we left. I dont think they should be speaking to their customers the way they did. I refuse to be spoken to in that way. We only asked a question we were by no means demanding anything. They could have dealt with it far better . I didnt want to leave a star because personally i dont feel like they deserve any

This is by far the worst pub I have ever been to in my entire life. The general food/roast dinner was absolutely rancid. Never in my life have I seen pub food look and taste as depressing as it did. The owners look dreary and glum. In general this pub is a representation of Harlow in its self. An utter disgrace

Lovely pub - great potential with the correct land lord… Currently/ food is disgusting. The chief looks like he’s homeless and could do with a good scrub. Staff rude and lazy - glasses and crockery left on tables even if they walk past empty handed…. They seem to huddle round a table at the end of the bar very unprofessional set up…. Dirty great van parked in the front which could be made so much nicer….

Great pub- whatever the weather- lovely to sit in the garden on a Sunny day, lovely atmosphere inside too.. support your local, say Hi to the landlords, and have a nice pint whilst there 👍🏻🍻🍽

Took the family out for an evening meal. Then went for a walk in the lovely town park. The food was great. Had a nice drink. The toilets are clean and the pub is done out well. Also dog friendly.

Popped in on the way back from town with my husband. The pub is in a lovely parkland setting, but beyond that it's a bit underwhelming. Food was just okay, but inoffensive at least. It's another option for a quick drink if we fancy a change of scenery from our local at least

We often walk our dogs around the town park and finish with a stop in this wonderful dog friendly pub. The staff go above and beyond to make us and our dogs welcome. We ordered lunch today and sausages for our dogs that came in a dog bowl all chopped up. I cannot recommend this pub highly enough and not just for dog owners!

Can’t fault the pub as being dog friendly or the staff but the food is extremely poor. Goodness knows who the supplier is but the burgers are disgusting; certainly no beef in the beefburger! Miller and Carter aside, would recommend a burger at Wetherspoon for half the price and contains beef. So disappointing.

Probably the best pub in all of Harlow, great atmosphere and really nice bar staff. The Hunters Chicken is lovely.

The pub is a very nice place to meet up with friends and the food was exception. I personally recommend this place.

Great pub, odd that on rememberence Sunday they wouldn't serve alcohol or food before 12pm, considering there were a lot of people and Veterans asking, missed out on a big payday there....

I went for lunch and found the stuff extremely rude and abrupt. The food was cold and tasteless. I definitely wouldn’t recommend or return.

This was my first trip in a pub after lockdown and I couldn't have chosen a nicer and friendlier pub! Initially popped in for a quick drink and left three and half hours later after having lunch and a few more drinks. Staff are brilliant, pubs atmosphere is that of a friendly local that you'd happily spend a day at and the food was perfect, especially as they had a wider choice of vegan food and what I ate was a different level to the choices I've eaten elsewhere

The roast dinner was hands down the worst I've ever had! Everything was unseasoned and of the lowest quality. Was more like a school/prison dinner combined.

I, personally think that this was an amazing pub with brilliant food, top notch service and an great time. P.S thanks to Stacy for being an amazing waitress

Unfortunately not going there again never. Lady took us to table then never come back to us again. Was very embarrassing experience to go to her and asked to be served.

The first time I visited the pub in my summer we was greeted by the loveliest man which was happy, welcoming and great company- let alone being a rep in ibiza and having the bites dog, now I know all of the staff are SO lovely and kind! The venue is always clean, spacious, Covid-19 is taken seriously as soon as you get in temperature checked and things done to make you feel safe Quick waiting time for the food- and goodness the food is unreal! I’ve had the pulled pork burrito- it’s silly how good it is The fish and chips was amazing quality The chicken burger was also Devine The chips are cooked perfect always Overall really lovely little gem in Harlow, thank you for always putting a smile on my partners and myself a face after a hard week at work

There's no car park. There is a 24/7 council pay and display car park close by, but in the evening it's pitch black, and its hard to see where the pay machine is. There is free on road parking about 6 min walk away if you can find a space. We'd booked a table, but it was in a noisy area, and after waiting for about 10 mins for someone to take our drinks order we decided to leave. It was early evening and it wasn't busy. The staff preferred to chat to the regulars who weren't eating.

We went to the Greyhound pub over the weekend never again I’ve heard bad things about this pub but thought I would give it ago the women that greeted us at the door was very unfriendly actually made me feel I was being a nuisance did my NHS scan she then took my name and asked me to wait by the exit which I did 5 minutes later she came over to me and said have you got a problem I said no I’m just waiting for someone to take my order she said can you wait outside the exit all of this was in front of customers first time I’ve been in a pub since COVID so I left the pub I wouldn’t spend a penny in this pub it’s a shame because it’s always been a pub I’ve used in my younger years
