A great family friendly pub, manager is great always listens and knows just what the place needs, made vast improvements of the garden and it's really driven the custom up, beer and ales are spot on, you won't be disappointed! also great entertainment throughout the weekends! Well done Rose 👏🏻 😀 xxx

Dropped in last week during a walk. Nice sausage sarnie and a coffee. Decided a revisit today Sunday 12th march during a bike ride. Not open. I suppose it could be for many reasons such as illness, but it was still a pain as this was a planned refuel stop.

Expected a lot better, from the reviews online. Mediocre at best. Bland and small quantity of ingredients inside our batches. (I’ve noticed this a lot this neck of the woods, places have much better reviews than their food! )

Lovely pub with the right vibes and atmosphere :) Staff have always been very friendly & helpful. The new Manager has done some great things with this place and it's only going upwards :) The pub is quite big so great for us as I usually come down with a big group of friends and we'll always find some spare seating. It's got darts and a pool table which is great. The quiz nights are really fun too, couldn't recommend this place enough!

The Rose Lounge was a total rip off - I paid £184 for a small festive afternoon tea for two, which is extortionate for what it was. This didn't even include any alcohol! The savoury course was tiny only 1 sandwich and 3 bitesize bits, the scones were two bites - for £92 per person (inc. service charge) I would expect full size scones. The cakes looked nice, but weren't for me, unpleasant flavours, but I appreciate this is personal preference. It was nice enough, the staff were friendly and the venue/atmosphere was pleasant. The cello player was a nice touch, but he only seemed to know 5 songs so it became very repetitive. There any so many other places for afternoon tea in London that I would recommend over and above here.

We visited straight after spending the day at the zoo. I had scouted this place out beforehand as its just down the road.from the zoo and ideal for an evening meal before our drive home. The restaurant is spacious with great decor and a modern vibe. The menu was outstanding with a good variety for all interets as well as a decent kids menu. We opted for the seafood platter sharer, which for the price I wast sure would be very good however I was proved wrong. The quality was exceptional and far better than seafood platters I've had near the sea for twice the price. If you're visiting the zoo this place definitely worth a visit. Great quality, reasonable price and a stones throw from the zoo.

I really wish I could review better than 3*, the coffee is very good and the baristas are better than those at rival coffee houses........BUT, the queue is constantly long with very little effort to get the customers served any quicker. The tables are usually littered with dirty cups, again, little enthusiasm from the staff to clear and clean them. I also think the toilet could be cleaned more regularly, it's a lottery using it, sometimes it's very clean, but more often than not, it's dirty.
