Acorns Coffee Shop @ Burbage Common in Hinckley and Bosworth

Came here with my dad for a late breakfast. Excellent sausage and bacon cobs and Americanos, all served by friendly hard working staff.

Always call in here when walking in burbage common, there is a large free carpark, seating outside and in, good choice of food and drinks, staff friendly and helpful and toilets. Worth a visit

Excellent staff! Homemade cakes that are off the scale delicious. Coffe that’s hot! Service with a smile. Oh and horses are welcome as long as they don’t leave crumbs 😜😜

I had a lovely BLT sandwich and my husband had a cheese salad sandwich. Both had a salad dressing and tortilla crisps. Fresh thick cut bread. We had room for a slice of cake each, I tried the carrot cake and my husband had the lemon. We each had Lattes which were very good. Staff very friendly.

Fantastic afternoon tea for my wife on her birthday and son. Helped make her day very special, thank you Rich 😉

Found this coffee shop completely by chance while working away. Lovely selection of homemade cakes, sandwiches good too. Would highly recommend.

Oh my word! The cakes are to die for! The Common is a great place to exercise your dog and Acorns is the perfect place to rest and recharge with great food and drink in a dog-friendly environment. The cakes are all homemade and very delicious. They also offer a vegetarian or vegan full English.

Love coming to this Coffee shop. Scones are delicious and very wholesome. Cofree is good and staff very friendly. One of my favourite places to come. Play area outside for children and obviously huge common land for dog walkers and non dog walkers. Highly recommended

Well never been here before so today’s visit was a first. Lovely little cafe we had eaten before we went for a walk on the common but we will definitely be trying the food and scrumptious looking cakes next time. The loaded hot chocolates with marshmallows and cream were just what we needed to warm us up after the walk. I would definitely recommend trying this hidden jem

Great little cafe if you’re out for a walk or nearby. Coffee was nice and the cakes were lovely. Didn’t have a lunch but what food we seen going past it looked good, so we will be going again soon to try these out.

Our local cafe for the last 5 years. We don’t get here as often as we’d like but when we do we are never disappointed.The homemade cakes in particular are always delicious and we often get them to take away as the lunch portions are so large! Lovely surroundings with a play ground onsite. We usually bring any overnight visitors with kids here for a coffee at some point during their stay, rain or shine. Large car park, knowledgeable staff and wide-ranging menu. Best of all is the dog spotting opportunities! :) As someone who believes in supporting local independent businesses wherever possible, we highly recommend a visit here. Enjoy!

Ideal stop for refreshment after dog walking at Burbage Common and Woods which is a very popular place for dog walkers. Have so far sampled the carrot cake and millionaires shortcake which were absolutely delicious!

Popped in for lunch and was very impressed with the size of the menu - so many options to choose from! Great tasting food and fantastic service, and couldn't leave without tasting one of the many delicious cakes on offer. Would definitely recommend the carrot cake! Very welcoming staff and dog friendly (even on a rainy day!). Will certainly be returning soon.

I regularly pop into this delightful coffee shop, several times a month, and have never been disappointed. Helan and her staff are always really friendly and the whole place is always very clean and the food and homemade cakes are always delicious and the coffee is excellent. My favourite lunch of a tomato, mozzarella and pesto panini as always was very tasty. The carrot cake is fantastic and best I have tasted. Delicious coffee and hot chocolate drinks too. Such a lovely location too on Burbage Common and with free parking. Highly recommended.

This coffee shop has become more than a place great refreshments after a lovely walk, the team at Acorns genuinely care about their customers. They go out of their way to deliver regardless of the pouring rain or scouring heat. I am a loyal customer because sanctuaries like this are rare and need to be treasured. Amanda x

I have just visited and was very disappointed to see a V on the board next to items containing tuna. I did mention this to the staff but they looked at me like I was mad. If they don’t know that fish are from the animal kingdom and therefore unsuitable for vegetarians, how can I as a vegan be sure that the items marked vegan really are? I certainly won’t be visiting again.

Heard good things about this Coffee Shop, and they didn't disappoint.Lovely setting, great range of products.Coffee was bang on, and they had gingerbread syrup, so bonus points from me. Most places only have it available around Christmas.Cakes were divine. Easily the best carrot cake for miles.Service was on point, friendly and knowledgeable.I'll be back!Martin :)

Excellent place for tea and cake. We have visited several times recently with our 4 year old granddaughter who loves to play in the playground before enjoying some cake. All staff very friendly.

Wifey and I pretty much visit this place each Sunday as part of our dog walking regime, we look forward to our coffee at the end along with the carrot cake for wifey and bacon cob for me. (The dog also loves the bacon). You won't be disappointed by the quality.

Love visiting this Coffee Shop which is surrounded by fields and Woodland.The cakes are delicious - especially the scones. This is one of my favourite places to visit - read the Newspaper and drink coffee and eat the lovely cake. They also do made to order hot and cold lunches and teas.

I have only started to use Acorns this year and can’t recommend them enough. Helen makes most of the cakes herself along with the delicious lunchtime menu. You will never find a better carrot cake than Helen’s which complements their lovely coffee (which I think is nicer than larger chain coffee brands). Great value, amazing team and fresh homemade food, what more could you want.

Really over-priced food and drinks here. They are ok but nothing special - I wouldn't mind paying the inflated prices if they were. For the price of a couple of bacon cobs (which weren't cobs as stated on the menu, they were baps. We're in Leicester and we all know what a cob is) and 2 coffees, we could have got a full English with drinks included elsewhere. Won't be going back.

Well worth a visit. Coffee shop with good menu with plenty of inside and outside tables, really good play area and excellent dog walking on adjacent Burbage Common including woodland and field walks. Good free car parking.

Had a great lunch here. Wide ranging menu from Panini's to Jacket Potatoes to Salads to larger meals. Wonderful looking cakes. My Goats Cheese and Beetroot Chutney Salad was delicious. My partner enjoyed his Bacon Cheddar and Mushroom Panini too. So refreshing to find a menu with healthier options. Service was good and excellent value. Only downside was that it would be good if there were more children's choices e.g. Fishfinger sandwiches. There was still a good choice for children. Having said that they were happy to provide just Bread and Butter for the boy in our party. Would definitely return.

Popped in on mother's day afternoon for coffee & cake after trying the Station Cafe at Shenton (nice but basic & no proper cake!). This place did not disappoint, friendly & genuine staff, a good selection of cakes (nearly all home-made, some gluten free aren't), cappuccino was good (not too hot or too cold). Lots of homemade lunch items on that we didn't try - soups, cassoulet, lasagne.2 coffees & cakes was £9.40 - good value too. Thank you

I love this place, the hot chocolate is amazing. The choice of hot drinks is extensive, as if the cakes & hot food.A group of dog walkers meet here after we've been around the Common, where a hot drink & a slice of cake is most welcome. We are always made welcome by the friendly owners & I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Just stopped for a drink after walking Burbage Common and Woods and it was our first visit at Acorns - it was a treat. All kinds of hot and cold drinks, cakes, snacks and lunches at good prices. Planning to return soon to take advantage of a lunch!

Really nice rustic cafe on the edge of the common - friendly staff and great homemade cakes.. the millionaires shortbread yesterday was delicious!! Good for walks, children and dogs although beware if not keen on dogs-there can be a lot!

After walking around burbage common with friends and our dogs we decided to stop here and have cakes and drinks. Dog friendly cafe, dogs can go inside or sit outside. Onsite toilets too. The cafe staff are extremely friendly and you can pay by cash or card. We had a selection of cakes and they were all delicious they even do a gluten free brownie. However the huge slice of lemon cake was my favourite and cakes are reasonably priced. Cannot wait to return perfect place to relax and refresh after a long walk in the woods. On site car parking too and it is free

Met here with a group of friends. Had a coffee and walk around the common and woods. Finished back at the café where we enjoyed a lovely lunch. Great choice of food including gluten free options.. All our meals were excellent and we will be returning.

Had a voucher as a Christmas present but as usual have only just got round to using it.So we went for lunch, as we were feeling lazy. Had a panini each, my wife's goats cheese and mine bacon,cheese and mushroom. Both were excellent and came with a generous amount of salad and tortillas.Wish we had gone before. Shan't wait again

Perfectly located at the entrance the burbage common and woods. seating available inside and out. They offer hot and cold food and a lovely cup of coffee, perfect for those cold winter days when the dog needs her walk.

Lovely homemade stews, lots of jacket potato and sandwich fillings, gorgeous cakes and delicious coffee. Really child friendly and you can even take your dogs into one of the sections. Great place!

My daughter and I have just had lunch at Acorns coffee shop and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for a lunch or coffee and light bite. We had the cottage pie and the Pork and Chorizo cassoulet which were both home made. Followed by home made carrot cake and a chocolate cake. In addition to this the coffee has lovely taste which is definitely a positive point for me. The coffee shop is situated next to Burbage Common so if you going for a walk with the dog or a family ramble look out for this lovely little place.

Excellent place to go for fresh homemade food lunches and cakes best carrot cake ever lovely pleasant staff and nice surroundings .it's great because you can park just outside it caters for everyone

A surprise café, The Acorn has on the menu hot and cold food, afternoon tea and cake, situated adjacent to the car park, has toilets and winter opening is from 10.00am until dusk every day. Staff are very friendly and polite. Would recommend the lemon drizzle cake with your tea. It seats approximately 30-40 people inside with table and chairs outside for walkers with dogs. Great place to have refreshments.

Excellent coffee shop. Friendly staff with and excellent selection of food. We had cream scones which were excellent and a cappachino which was first rate.

What a find!!! My family and I just popped down for a Sunday dog walk and came across this cafe! They serve incredible homemade cakes and amazing lunches (I recommend the carrot cake)!! All the staff are all lovely and welcoming! I now visit often and it never fails to disappoint! You must try it for yourselves!!!!!

We bought mum for a meal today. I've been before but the others were very pleasantly surprised. It's very welcoming and the food delicious. The jacket potatoes were enormous two of us couldn't manage to eat all ours. We're going back for cake another day!

A dog walk doesn't happen for us without a bacon sandwich here. Plenty of bacon and really lovely rolls make this cafe a family favourite , the cakes are also always excellent, the kids love the hot chocolate and even the dogs get a free treat so you can never go wrong including it as part of your walk.

Such a welcoming atmosphere! Staff are all lovely especially the two that own! Friendly for families and even the dog! Cakes are tasty and always at a great standard! My favourite has to be the fab sized scones or the scrumptious chocolate cake!! Definitely would recommend!

We have been visiting Acorns for quite a while now and consistently receive good friendly service with a varied menu to suit all tastes including our gluten free requirements. Even our dog enjoys her free treats!

We have visited a couple of times with the kids. The food is all freshly prepared and good quality. The cakes are lovely, especially the huge homemade scones - gorgeous! A lovely welcoming little cafe, a great place for a pitstop whilst out for a walk in the woods, or to sit outside and watch the kids play.

We regularly visit the coffee shop whilst walking our dog and often have a drink and piece of cake. The selection is fabulous. Today we had jacket potatoes, panini, bacon cob and a GF ham salad roll too. It was so lovely and beautifully served with loads of salad. I then decided I needed to have a piece of their GF lemon cake. But when I went in they also had GF carrot cake too. It was absolutely delicious. Lots of normal cake too, my girls had millionaires shortbread which is equally tasty so I am told. The staff are really friendly and it is great service. Highly recommended for the food and then walk you can also have with or without a pooch in tow.
