The Railway Inn Ratby in Hinckley and Bosworth

Went in at lunchtime after a long walk hoping for a nice pub meal only to be told, we don't do food, which was a shock to be honest, oh well.

Best pub and the best landlady! Always welcoming

Family of 7 people came to enjoy a meal here and after booking for 14 people the pub did not have a problem when 7 people had to pull out at very very short notice which was excellent, we were made to feel very welcome and not like a burden. The food is excellent and very fast service, staff always around to check things, catered to gluten free, dog friendly also👌🏼 Owners are wonderful!

Good pub grub, nice atmosphere. Coffee could have been better but overall good value for money. Also signage to which entrence to use could be more obvious.

Went with my grandchildren for lunch the staff were friendly even when one grandchild was a bit fussy helped make her meal as she wanted it.

While on our travels , Pet transporter. We stopped off for food . The staff were really friendly . Service was good and the food was good too . Even customers were friendly . Definitely would go again if in the area

No offense to other local pubs but this place is awesome. Have been going there for last 2 years to watch football and eat some chicken wings , never disappoints !!

We went to the karaoke that our friend runs,we had a really good night there,staff are lovely,customers are friendly and the inn itself is well maintained and clean,the toilets are nicely decorated too

We went for sunday lunch having never been to the pub before. We only had the main course that was £9 and it was outstanding! the staff where excerllent and friendly and the atmosphere in the pub was good. It won't be long before we go back.

Ratby is a very lucky village for its size. It boasts three pubs which are all very different. Catering for a large array of people depending on what your taste is. However let's concentrate on this little gem which greets you on the right hand side of the village when you enter from Kirby Muxloe. For a start Everards pubs are not notorious for their "cheap beer" however The Railway do try their best to keep their prices as low as they can. It has a lovely atmosphere in there and the locals are typically a friendly bunch. The staff are all lovely too. My brother and I often pop in at lunch time for a pint of coke and a cheese and onion cob with some chips. They do offer a menu for lunch time and on expected days it does get very busy (you might want to book). Their Sunday lunches are one of the best around and you can get them to take away too. Occasionally they have Karaoke which is always a good night. And they show sports on the television, which always draws a healthy crowd. If you lived at "the bottom end" of Ratby you'd definitely consider this little gem a place to set up shop as your local. They offer some cask ales too. All the beer is very well kept. But don't take my word for it. Go and see for yourself. Tell em' Ant says hi lol.

What a fantastic take away Sunday lunch. You will not find better quality for the price Anywhere. Beats a lot of so called restaurants on service, price and value for money. Don’t bother cooking all morning and then having to clean up afterwards. Eat in or take away. Brilliant . Give it a try, you WONT be disappointed.

I honestly cannot recommend this pub highly enough when it comes to quality home cooked food (definitely no microwave meals here!) Their vegetable lasagne is amazing but boy the Sunday Roasts are INCREDIBLE.. delicious, huge portions, unbeatable value for money at £8.25 and they offer a take away service too. The food is that good we even had our Christmas dinners from here, which we will 100% be doing again this Christmas. Lovely local pub that deserves our support.

Visited today for a three course Sunday dinner, lovely welcome, relaxing atmosphere. Food was fresh extremely tasty and very well presented. The Sunday dinner was full of stars not one item on the plate failed to impress. Roast potatoes to die for, vegetables so tasty and fresh, roast beef was absolutely melt in the mouth and as for the Yorkshire pudding WOW. On the whole this meal made the commercial pubs look like 3rd class amateurs. Will definately return and I strongly advise others to give it a go. Well done to the team today at the Railway.

On a lovely sunny day myself, daughter and 9 year old grandson stopped at The Railway for a bit of lunch whilst out on a bike ride. Could not fault it, delicious hot food served beautifully, All credit to the landlady's daughter she is a credit to this pub. Very friendly and efficient will definately be going again.

As there are twenty six of us we would normally ring ahead to make sure we can be accommodated but yesterday we stumbled across this pub after having to make a diversion to avoid floods. Could have been a problem - but the staff were great - big welcome, drinks soon sorted and very reasonable. We didn't stay for food but it looked good. Many thanks from Cosby Friday Walkers

Visited with friends for the first time this week, and will definitely be going back! I had a Veggie/halumi burger, which was delicious! It came with a generous portion of proper chunky chips too! There was also plenty of choice on the menu, as a vegetarian, it's not always the case for me. The young lady behind the bar was very friendly and polite, and the prices are extremely reasonable! We will definitely be making this our new 'ladies that lunch' venue from now on. Massive thumbs up from us!!

First time I've visited this pub for lunch but definitely won't be the last.. Young lady behind the bar was lovely, friendly and helpful. The food is fantastic value for money and was delicious (the homemade veg lasagne was THE BEST I've ever had) Huge choice of hot and cold food too which made a nice change. Will be returning and would highly recommend too..(my only tiny criticism would be a coat of paint inside would brighten it up a little)

We popped in for Lunch today and were made very welcome by the Landlady and her Daughter. The homemade beef lasagne which came with chips salad and coleslaw, was amazing and so was the side dish of onion rings, 10/10. We'll be back soon.

I have lived maybe 20 steps away from the pub for the past 3 years and had only been in once before about a year ago but didn't really have the desire to go back as the food i had wasn't great last time.

Fighting between drunk women... It's always a big turn off to a place to visit, although dealt with quickly, most of the people in there seemed to be well into an all day session and were either aggressive or tugging at you .... Not the most welcoming..... And I have worked in some rough places!!
