Nice pub and food. Leah was very friendly

I went for a few drinks at this pub as I was working near by , I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the whole establishment, A young lady behind the bar called Leah had a great knowledge of the cask ales that were for sale was planning to order some food however the kitchen had closed but Leah went out of her way to direct me to the best local takeaway

Great local pub with some decent beers

Came in for lunch after visiting some family, Everyone was very friendly and helpful, Food came fast and was lovely. A young lady served us called casey. She was very helpful and attentive. Will definitely return.

The bar staff Freya and Leah are very polite and efficient, they make sure to welcome you in with a nice smile. The pedigree is very good!

I regularly visit the plough inn and am finding very boring now reading the negative reviews being left by the old landlord and his small minded friends. The plough has and always will be a good local boozer. New manager and team are doing a great job. Putting on live entertainment and a more regular service with the food. 5star keep it up 👍

Visited the plough inn whilst driving through , stopped off for just a quick pit stop at around 8pm , they had a singer on which just made us want another. In the end we had to book a hotel locally as one led to 6 , great night , great atmosphere , we will be driving through again.

Superb commun6pub, great food, friendly staff. Outside space is in the sun, car park is big, great walks locally. Well worth a visit.

Did a nice Guinness and bar staff friendly. Ok as a men's drinking pub. Food wasn't great and the restaurant was a bit shabby / run down unfortunately.

Thought we would try here as they have a new landlord, but this is the worst sunday lunch we have ever had. Everything was frozen, frozen vegetables, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes and yorkshires. If you can't be bothered to prepare fresh food then dont serve food. We certainly wont go again, you only get one chance to impress and you didn't, other than it was impressive how bad you can get it!! Half the food went back and the waitress never batted an eye ... must be used to it. My husbands chicken was so dry he had to put mayonnaise on it to try and eat. The only plus side was my husband said they keep a decent guinness.

We had steaks and they were delicious. Everything was first class we were very impressed! Service by Kelly (I think her name was) was excellent. Well done!

This really is a good pub. Not often you find a good old English pub like this. Great people; generally working to middle class. Very comfortable atmosphere and fantastic food. I just ate half a cow, it was cooked to perfection. 5 stars all around ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A proper traditional pub! These pubs are few and far between these days, gorgeous pub, with a welcoming atmosphere, a little gem of a find in a lovely village. The landlord made us feel right at home and whipped up some scrumptious lunch, with a steak cooked to perfection. If you want to sit and set the world to rights, with phrases like ‘when I was a lad…’ ringing in the air, or have a meal with friends or family, where you feel relaxed and content, then this is the place for you! Feel very lucky to have found it.

Cracking village pub just off the main road. Great choice of beers and lagers. Food was good and fairly priced. Will definitely be visiting again.

Had a lovely stop off after a very muddy walk round the burrows next to the pub didn't have food but the service was great good old fashion pub the people in the pub were very friendly got talking to us and made us feel very welcome good sized carpark and some great walks near by so would highly recommend this pub would have to try the food next time many thanks

We booked a buffet at The Plough for a funeral and our experience was very positive. The pub means a lot to our wider family and we chose it for this reason. The staff were helpful the whole way and laid out a wonderful (and massive) spread for our family! We specifically requested vegetarian options and the staff delivered. There was more than enough food to go around, with a wide range of sandwiches, small bites and snacks. The staff were efficient at clearing glasses and plates to ensure that the area was clean and tidy throughout our day. Our family made positive comments about the food and were highly impressed. We truly appreciate the staff at The Plough for their contribution towards the send off for our relative, it was exactly what he would have wanted. Thank you, everyone!

Another fabulous meal at the Plough. My favourite lunch time pub. Had a Thursday special tonight. Rump lighter steak meal. Cooked to perfection with a beautiful salad (not just lettuce and tomatoes) great, friendly service as always. Thank you

Had a barmaid called Katie who showed a lot of respect and also was very efficient and made sure we were happy.I had a large Coke while my mates had a double vodka Coke and my last mate had a pint of carling these were all perfect

Went today with my wife and dad , never been here before but seen on social media that it had new owners so we thought we would give it a go, food was amazing, nice and hot and fantastic portions , highly recommend, great ales we definitely was not disappointed

Me and my friends come in every other week to use the back room to perform our music. The other week I was very impressed with the service we had from a barmaid called Angle.

Brilliant pub, the atmosphere is amazing in there! Cheapest pub in Ratby. Barmaid Angel made my night, joined in with our card tricks.

Brilliant pub with great atmosphere, lovely food and fast service, the new land lord Tony is really nice and Aaron the bar tender was very pleasant to speak to.

Stopped in for a Guinness and some lunch and was greeted by the lovely Katie. Lovely welcome smile and was happy to help amongst helping everyone else on a busy Monday afternoon. And to top it off she presented me with a perfect pint of Guinness. Will be back for sure now I’ve moved back to Ratby!

Wow.. new management!! Two gentleman, I believe to be father and son.. what a team, the pub had always been one of my favourites but the life has just bounced back in, I would advise booking for food as they were very busy when we visited, (although they managed to squeeze us in) food was amazing with a lot of Choice and at a good price..bar staff very attentive and looked nice and clean, will definitely be visiting again

A very traditional pub with lots of friendly people and bar staff alike. I was very well looked after by the bar maid Lauren who's charming smile lit up the room.

Simply the best pub around these parts, with a great selection of trad beers kept to the highest standard. I find it to have a welcoming atmosphere with a traditional feel. Also with a strong community connection sponsoring to local Sunday football team that I know there are deeply appreciative of.

This wee pub is a gem off a find found it 3/4 years ago been going here everytime I come down from Scotland the staff are excellent food is great pay it a visit if your passing through never disappoints

A fantastic pub! The place itself is large and quirky, so still cosy. The staff are brilliant and the customers always welcoming. There's several outside spaces and plenty of parking. The food and drink are great, and reasonable value! Love this place!

Visited with hubby and were surprised how welcoming it was. Food delicious, cider cold and fruity, staff met us with smile. Overall good experience and definitely will visit again.

Had a really enjoyable social evening tonight as a group of 29. Had an initial hiccup when half of the pre-order hadn't made it to the kitchen, but all the staff worked amazingly hard to produce a fantastic meal for us all. Food was really tasty and good value, service excellent. Thoroughly recommend

My first visit since coming to the village. I'd say it's a blokes pub but plenty of women In too. But the staff were brilliant locals very nice. Definitely be my local

Tucked away pub with not much trade, on busy nights it’s hard work using the toilets due to the coke heads lining up in the cubicle, add to that a not very nice landlord (Colin) that has a serious attitude problem, and very loud drugged up locals, this place is best avoided.

It remains a drinkers pub with a good selection of beers (all well kept). Again a busy night with plenty of people to talk to. It is fair to say this is the best traditional pub in the area but is desperately in need of refurbishment. The other two pubs in the village (now both with new tenants) have much better decor and leaves the Plough inferior in this respect.

This is a fantastic pub! Set a bit back from the main drag, you don't realise how big this place is. The car park and gardens are huge; the pub itself is quirky, with a small snug area, a couple of larger rooms including separate restaurant and pool table areas, plus there are a couple of separate outside areas as well. The drink and food offerings are good, the prices are not too bad and the staff are fantastic.

Great local for local people. Much better than other pubs in the village that display signs saying they are welcoming of dogs but absolutely are not at all. Guaranteed a good pint, at a reasonable cost with a friendly service and atmosphere

We came here last Thursday and the food was very poor. Our food took 50 minutes to come out and was freezing cold. When we mentioned it, it seemed no one could care and we was ignored. It seems that the food is going down hill.

I love this pub, and it still has all the village charm. Extremely friendly staff and the food is beautiful. Would definitely recommend it.

The best pub in the Village, we play Darts here on Tuesdays, what an atmosphere, great beer and nicely priced, food is first class and you’re not burning a hole in your wallet. Big screen to watch sports. Great service and omg what a barmaid the lovely Louise who’s a right Gem serving the thirsty punters. Keep it up 👍
