Great Sunday afternoon, great service from all the staff for a friends & families the bar was ideal. We’d recommend the Sunday lunches plentiful & lots of top up of gravy, roasties & Yorkshires Thank you Becky & Laura for looking after us

Warm friendly welcome, huge beer garden. Atmosphere was electric with Motown act on. Delicious huge plates for Sunday lunch.

Food was lovely and very reasonable. I ordered coconut thai curry. The vegan bakewell tart was so nice I ordered a second 😋. Great service and cheerful staff. Will definitely be back.

Came with friends on Monday evening for the fundraiser. Fantastic night, very busy, but organised Atmosphere was amazing.

Well here we are again fabulous place always willing to accompany our needs this visit was for Dad's 84th Birthday Laura and all the other staff were very efficient and looked after us food was spot on could sit here all day if it wasn't for our long journey back to Skegness hope to return never had a bad experience here Thank you x

Have always loved the railway always friendly staff and food was always spot on …. Not sure what’s happened but seemed like all the staff are new and food was Not the best .. Burgers were burnt even the sliced cheese on top was burnt!! and very tasteless … it’s a No from me I won’t be returning any time soon ..

Great night last night. What a fantastic night, Mix grill was mouthwatering. The Staff were attentive. There was a Halloween & karaoke night & Wow what a night such fantastic singers the atmosphere was electric, it made our night & that’s why we stayed until the very end after the boxing.

Me and my parents came here for my dad’s birthday and we’ll definitely be coming back! Food was lovely! Steak cooked exactly how I asked for it, dad enjoyed his pie and said the pastry was one of the best his had. Mum had a mixed grill and said it was amazing, again steak cooked exactly how she asked. Lovely staff as well very accommodating and patient. Honestly couldn’t fault the place and dad had a lovely birthday meal!

I had the 5 small plate meals really well presented and tasty, I like the variety of the dishes, which were great, portions were more than adequate, if you like the tapas feel to food give this place a try, it won’t disappoint. And the cost won’t either.

Sunday roast are delicious recently changed their menu extra roast potatoes, gravy & Yorkshire pudding free of charge. Plenty of meat too. The sirloin beef is delicious nice and thick

5 of us ordered mixed grill, 2 of the steak lumps were fat and grizzle and a dried up sausage on one plate on telling the young man collecting the plates he said oh sorry and carried on his normal duties.took the boot leather steak home for our dog.... Who wasn't impressed...Will come again but not for a mixed grill

Our (four) Wednesday mid-day sessions of Petangue (Boules) followed by a ‘Value for Money’ tasty lunch and drinks, have been a regular occasion for ‘yonks’ . . simply Wednesday would not be the same unless there shared with lovely friendly staff who pull a great pint of real beer, a plate of F&C, Lasagne, Sausage & Mash, Scampi, Gammon steak, three platters for price of two .. but never a pudding 😁 What is brilliant and should be adopted elsewhere are extremely low priced non alcholic drinks for those pulling the short straw ~ e.g. Car Drivers.

Had their famous spicy wings and few beers. I moved to Glenfield two years back and tried all the pubs around. Forge Inn, Nags Head are also decent pubs but my heart is always with Railway Inn. Their chicken wings are so delicious and mouthwatering !! Must try !!!

Cannot fault the food or the service. Staff couldnt be more helpful or obliging and the food was amazing value for money

We were staying in the Premier Inn (approx 20 min walk) and chose this pub from the online reviews. It didn't disappoint. Even though it was a bit busy, as they had a musician booked for later in the evening, Laura looked after us and found us a great table. Food was as per the reviews we read, as it was excellent and good value. Would definitely call again when in this area.

We all had a wonderful evening. Our meal was delicious. My partner had the mix Grill and the steak was to his perfection, I had the Ban galore chicken and it was mouthwatering,, this was suggested by Laura as I was undecided what to choose...

We were let down by another venue for a wedding party, rang them and they were happy to take us. We had drinks, food and a good time. Friendly bar staff, I cannot recommend them any higher. Thanks to Dave for being a stellar host.

Visited the Railway this valentines to try out the valentines menu they had on offer, to begin with i did think the price was a little steep. however, after having the three course meal i felt like a prat. the home made vegetable soup was amazing, followed by a rack of lamb for a main course ; My god the lamb was amazing. that good i asked one of the bar staff to see if i could speak to the chef who cooked the lamb. A young boy came over and he was ever so polite. thank you for an amazing meal & not to forget the amazing service.

We love this pub as it is local and good value for money but we visited today 26th july and we saw several meals go back! We both had steak which was lovely but the chips were barely warm!! Not the best you need to pick up your standard or valued custmoers will go elsewhere

first time we went to the railway inn was in march this year. ordered the meals at the bar and was promptly asked would I like a loyalty card so every time we come to the railway the staff stamp the card and after 10visits. you get a free meal for one on the 11 visit which was today. ordered the 3 meals as usual presented the loyalty card and was told it was ONLY VALID FOR MON/ TUES/ WENDS/ EVENINGS bearing in mind that every time we visited was at lunch time. as we live in Loughborough we can not get in the evenings surely if it is stamped at lunch time it should be honoured at lunch time? Just left the railway after my partner and i decided we didnt want to cook, ver happy we did.

Went with a large group. Mixed grill was ok. Everything else was very poor. Sunday lunches were awful. Omelette was far too runny. Won't come here again. Waitresses were pleasant, but I prefer the plates to be cleared once everyone has finished eating.

Took my other half for food on Thursday, first time i have been but will definitely be coming back, service was speedy, staff were nice, all round great atmosphere and amazing food, couldn't ask for much more...
