Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Well worth making a regular watering hole. 🙂

Had a tasty mocha in pleasant surroundings, people watching from the raised area. Not a fantastically large selection, but all quality beverages and snacks. My mocha was nicely presented and tasted great. What more could you ask for.

A relatively small but delightfully charming eating place. With four or five tables with accompanying chairs and a couple of comfortable padded chairs and a two seater settee. There isn't a large selection available but the portions are generous and excellent value. The tea loaf which I sampled was very tasty as was the orange and lemon cake which I took out for later consumption. The hot chocolate, I had was served with a generous accompaniment of cream and marshmallows. I found the place to have a very friendly and relaxed ambience, initially I was the sole customer but it wasn't long before others steadily strolled in and leisuredly sat down to enjoy what was available. A good place to enjoy a quiet beverage, or a satisfying panini, sandwich or jacket potato, or perhaps, treat oneself to a slice of cake. The cafe is however situated upstairs in Chesterfield Antiques Centre so the dozen or so stairs might mean that it is less accessible to some. Should these not pose a problem, It's a quiet little haven away from the everyday bustle. A clearly marked folding board is usually placed nearby outside giving more precise directions.

We found the Rectory in Guide Michelin and as always the seem to deliver on their recommendations. It was a little hard to find the place, but one there we got a nice table facing the garden. Starters excellent - the lobster and the squid. The Duck as a main course also very good. The pasta with truffles needed more taste. The cheeses were served on a hot plate and melted - more raclette than selected cheeses. Attentive and friendly staff.

We went for afternoon tea and was very disappointed, when bought our drinks we asked if we could have water and was told yes but we have to take your other drink away !!! We got 1 piece of cake each and either mince pie or scone , very dissatisfying, Afternoon tea is normally a few little cakes and definitely scones , we asked if we could have 1 green tea and was told yes if you pay extra , it cost us £22.50 each for 6 of us and wasn’t worth a tenner each won’t be going back ,
