A relatively small but delightfully charming eating place. With four or five tables with accompanying chairs and a couple of comfortable padded chairs and a two seater settee. There isn't a large selection available but the portions are generous and excellent value. The tea loaf which I sampled was very tasty as was the orange and lemon cake which I took out for later consumption. The hot chocolate, I had was served with a generous accompaniment of cream and marshmallows. I found the place to have a very friendly and relaxed ambience, initially I was the sole customer but it wasn't long before others steadily strolled in and leisuredly sat down to enjoy what was available. A good place to enjoy a quiet beverage, or a satisfying panini, sandwich or jacket potato, or perhaps, treat oneself to a slice of cake. The cafe is however situated upstairs in Chesterfield Antiques Centre so the dozen or so stairs might mean that it is less accessible to some. Should these not pose a problem, It's a quiet little haven away from the everyday bustle. A clearly marked folding board is usually placed nearby outside giving more precise directions.

We often go while my daughter is at dance, tea is in a lovely teapot and sugar cubes are a lovely touch, cakes are so scrumpy, only down fall is I never know which cake to pick! First class service even when busy

Myself, my husband and my two children visited this lovely cafe in the antiques centre. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, the homemade cakes were especially yummy. This has just been taken over and the new lady owner is very nice. We will defiantly be coming back.

There was nothing wrong with the sandwiches and cakes we ate here but for it to cost 25 pounds for 3 people to eat this, given the fact that you can get full meals for cheaper elsewhere in Chesterfield such as Wetherspoons and Einstein's, is ridiculous. No matter how nice a relatively small sandwich is very few people would be happy to pay more than a full cooked meal is worth. The café itself is nicely presented and the staff are nice. It's just the price that was shocking!

Another lovely lunch at greys cafe. Delicious home cooked wholesome food served with a smile. The cafe is above the antique centre which makes a fabulous setting and a great way to spend a few hours.

Greys Tea Room, at the top of Chesterfield Antiques Centre, is a very small but charming cafe. The owners/staff have gone to some trouble to make it feel welcoming, from a card on each table giving details of their hens (whose eggs are used in their recipes), to a vase of fresh flowers in the washroom. I asked for tea but with no milk, and without my having to request it, extra hot water was brought for me. My (excellent) toasted tea cake came on a warmed plate and with plenty of butter. The service was very pleasant and the price remarkably reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Greys and look forward to going again.

We went here for lunch today and it was lovely. My mum had the apple and parsnip soup which was beautiful and I had a sandwich. The service was excellent and the staff extremely friendly. Didn't try any of the cakes but they looked delicious.

We were treated to afternoon tea today served at lunchtime which was a very good idea! As we were not hungry again till early evening! Everything was fresh, with a choice of sandwiches , three types of scones clotted cream and jam, Victoria sponge ,and two other types of cakes whose names escape me. The sandwiches were served with a salad garnish and crisps, and the cakes were accompanied by a fresh fruit garnish. We had lashings of tea and the cakes were all home made. A thoroughly enjoyable experience . The only downside was the room wasn't very warm so put on a thicker jumper and go and try it - you won't be disappointed.

Visited today for the first time with my mum after a walk round the antique shop it is located in. It was a icy day and quite cold inside but heaters were on. We decided on homemade soup and a roll with a cup of tea. We had the option of loose or t bag which was a nice touch. The soup was delicious and the roll was warm. We followed it with a slice of Victoria sponge and a scone, both home made. Lots of jams and clotted cream was supplied, we was offered extra water for our tea pots. Overall food lovely, staff attentive, nice attention to small details. I will go back.

I often have lunch at Grey's cafe and have always found the quality of food to be exceptional. It is all homemade and great value. Today's homemade veg soup with a warm freshly baked roll and butter was delicious. I also had a slice of their homemade parkin which is one of the best I have tasted - made; I believe, to an old family recipe. This was my friends first visit to Grey's and she was equally impressed with the quality of food and the friendly attentive staff.

Only one choice of fruit tea. I chose a cold drink instead and it was served in a late cup. Why? Only cake to eat unless you order a cream tea. It closes early so heaven knows what time you are supposed to eat a cream tea. Poor selection. Won't be using it again

What a little JEM! I was at a loose end with time to spare and found this place by chance tucked away inside the Antique centre. Tea and toast were just what I needed and they certainly provided. Only open for just one week I do hope they do well as father and daughter are a good team and give great service and interaction. Clean and tidy, you will be catered for very well. Best of luck for your future business. Carol.

Amazing service. They really stand out. Ask them what you should drink they know so much and are well travelled. Great selection of high quality drinks. Year on year - the best pub in Brampton for a drinker who wants something different.

Had a tasty mocha in pleasant surroundings, people watching from the raised area. Not a fantastically large selection, but all quality beverages and snacks. My mocha was nicely presented and tasted great. What more could you ask for.
