We visited early on a gorgeous Sunday morning. The pub was empty, but all the tables had 'reserved' signs. Giving an indication as to the popularity and quality of the food & service. We were treated extremely well by the staff. Half a dozen ex servicemen visiting to pay our respects. We were made to feel at home. If I could transpirt the pub and staff to my hometown, I would. It would be the place to go. Staff treated us to snacks whilst we sat and chatted. The little things like that make you remember your visit and desire to return. A good selection of draught beers & ciders. I would say it's a very good idea to pre-book a table. Thank you, guys, for making our visit special.

An excellent pub and not too far from the railway station for a between trains drink.

I have been to this tea room on my own and with friends, always fabulous service and great value for money. The paninis are delicious as is the chocolate stout cake, not to mention the cheesy chips ! Great place to stop off when you're out walking, always friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend

Fantastic place and one of the few pubs that has a no dogs policy inside. Such a breath of fresh air and somewhere that I will continue to visit because of the warm welcome, fabulous food and dog free environment. Bliss! Thank you to all the friendly staff for a delicious lunch.

Went in today for the first time, and the service was excellent! I had the vanilla latte, and my friend had the pistachio latte—both were delicious. The owners were so lovely, and the place was buzzing with customers. Can’t wait to visit again!

Visited here 17th April late afternoon. Have been a few times before and enjoyed it. My wife and I ordered a bottle of wine between us from the bar. £28 it was. I am fine with that. But towards the end of the bottle I noticed on the wine racks where bottles of wine are for sale the same bottle. All bottles have two prices , a take out price and a " drink in " price. Understandable. The bottle in question had a take out price of @ £6.50 and a "drink in " price of @ £21.50. I wonder why I was charged £28. There is a sign saying corkage will be charged but is not corkage the difference between the two prices? The barman who served me was not around for the last 10 minutes we were there so I could not ask him. I was not going to cause any fuss with the younger members of staff there so we finished the bottle and left. I wouldnt mind someone explaining these price differentials to me. Otherwise we are reasonable fans of this bar.

What a brilliant find! After seeing good recommendations on a Google search, we visited here today as a stop in the middle of a four hour drive from Herts to Harrogate. We needed gf food for someone who is Coeliac. This place really didn't disappoint. Friendly, bubbly, lovely staff and almost everything is available as a gf option. What a treat. We had the American pancakes (amazing fluffy huge things), Ploughman's with lovely ham and cheddar with a really yummy warm cheese scone and eggs Benedict which was quickly devoured. Generous portions of great quality food at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

Starter of creamed mushrooms on brioche toast with added pink peppercorns - lovely and tasty, second starter a selection of breaded and filo prawns with salad. Roast beef dinner with homemade cauliflower cheese, dauphinoise potatoes and a selection of greens and carrots, generous portions and presented very nice. A lovely environment Service excellent
