Amazing brunch, fantastic service from Angel. The breakfast has to be amongst the very best I’ve had in Leicester. Our service from Angel was excellent too. We have also eaten here in the evening and that was also amazing

Delightful pub/ bar/ restaurant! We arrived early for a booking and so sat in the bar area. We were then taken through to the stylish dining room. Attentive staff took our order and remained on hand throughout the evening. We had the mussels and croquettes to start, followed by the chicken supreme and burger (emperor chips added) for mains. All were delicious and generously portioned. If we return to the area, we will certainly visit again!

Truly amazing from the first welcome to when we left, the staff are so warm and welcoming, nothing was to much trouble, Knowledge from staff on drinks and food was so nice helping you make choices on wine etc, we had Sunday lunch which was so nice cooked perfectly. The whole experience was so good I would recommend you visit, you will not be disappointed certainly is one of the best places to visit in Leicester

Came to knight and garter for a nice evening out with my girlfriend, Once arriving we was greeted by Georgie who went above and beyond for the pair of us, after being seated we had our waitress Evie who was such a bubbly young lady, couldn’t help but mention to my girlfriend how polite and kind she was , the food was 10/10 , also the bar staff were so polite and had a great sense of humour

One of the groups main course was late, as in very late, 15 mins. Pretty poor to be honest and definitely overpriced. Really need to pull their socks up. Been here few years back, was ok, but now very poor ..... based on our party of 8 experience.

This is our second visit to this restaurant. The food was still as good as our last visit. The staff were friendly and attentive, Great atmosphere Special thanks to Angel, Evie and Tai. Definitely recommend this place and we will be visiting it again very soon.

I visted here today(14.09 2024) with a group of 11 other women for a divorce party. From the miniute we got seated upto us leaving the service was amazing. The staff were lovely and welcoming. Our food arrived efficiently and hot and tasted amazing. I couldn't recommend this place enough. Marshall was one of our servers and nothing was too much to ask.

we had the best night at Knight and Garter! My family were over from Ireland so we took them out for food, the food was amazing every single thing! But the best part was the service! Our waitress Taiyan was a LEGEND💗 we will deffinately be back very soon!

Been here a few times. Today was the first time we’ve eaten here. I had the Beef Shin Ragu sandwich and have to say it was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever tasted. The emperor chips were a bit of a disappointment. They looked like oven chips which is a shame seeing as they cost £5.50. The portion sizes overall would not give a ballerina love handles. Another upset was the machine asking for staff tips. Imo, any establishment that asks for staff tips does not pay their staff enough, especially in this age of living wage, and also when their prices are at the upper end of premium.

A beautiful place in the heart of Leicester. We had a sirloin and a burger, with a lovely cheese plate at the end. The knight & Garter has a calm and tidy atmosphere. It’s modern but traditional at the same time. A good place to go to.

Came for an afternoon tea with my partner for her birthday and a group of friend's, as always we were felt welcomed and service was brilliant as always. The afternoon tea itself was the best we've had, and we've had alot. Our server Taiyah went above and beyond, with a fun friendly attitude and couldn't have asked for more.

I had an excellent lunch at The Knight & Garter. It was a colleague’s birthday, and the staff made it so special. The food was excellent. Faultless.

I dined in with a group of 7. Maybe it was the fact that it was a quiet Sunday but we loved it. We could’ve considered it a private service. Love the decor. The food was on point and the portions were nicely generous. Most of us had roast, someone got a wonderful looking burger and please do not miss dessert!. The staff were really lovely and we felt very chilled. Worth every penny.

2nd time visiting and not disappointed! Amazing staff, very swift service and unbelievable food again. We arrived half hour before our booking and were still seated straight away. The starter came out very quickly and was delicious, as was the main and of course desert too. Finished with a lovely cappuccino and macaroon.

Definitely recommend the pork scratchings as a starter if you like it, crunchy with the right amount of salt. Small pot of apple sauce on the side, delish! We had the shin beef Ragu, and the chicken leek and potato pie. Both excellent 👌

Had a great brunch with gluten free and vegetarian options (jointly and separately). The waiters were really nice and helpful.

Went there too meet a childhood friend, the staff couldn’t have been more lovely. Especially our waitress, taiyah. She was so lovely and welcoming, such a genuine soul and made our day so much better!

Came here for a meal with about 20 colleagues from work. Great selection of beers and ales. The food was second to none, excellent service and catered for everyone. The place was busy but service was fantastic. Great place, you won't be disappointed.

We had a great, late lunch at Knight & Garter, Saturday March 16th. Fantastic atmosphere and really good food. The staff was very professional, and Taiyah is a credit to the establishment.

We came here for brunch. We waited 45 mins for our food. The food was nice but it was a little bit on the pricey side. Overall it was a sub par experience.

My friend Sean and I went to this “hidden gem 💎 of a pub“ in the old historical parts“ of Leicester. This delightful little city in the heart of England boasts having The first Parliament in England, Is now The burial ground of King Richard III and the birth place of Genetic Fingerprinting. Here amongst all this history I find myself eating some of the most exquisite and fine English food that you could imagine and all hosted within a grade II listed building that has been beautifully refurbished. I had the shelled muscles, salmon risotto and sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream. My friend had the pheasant, roast beef and apple strudel. I found the food absolutely delicious. The drinks were lovely too. We had the Cranberry Juice, The House white, Glazebrook Sauvignon B and Pinot Noir. The service was excellent too very attentive but not intrusive in any way. The Knight and Garter has restored my faith and admiration for English food. A big shout out for Libby and all the waiters and waitresses who served us. I most certainly will have very fond memories of my lunch here for many years to come. By Saeed Seedat

Fabulous brunch and great service

The pub itself is beautiful well decorated and located right in city centre. We went on a Sunday for the roast dinners, and were really looking forward to quality roasts. Sadly the food let the restaurant down, specifically the quality of the beef which was shocking when charged £22 for a roast dinner. The beef was very thin and stringy like a school meal. Not acceptable when they are charging so much. The Yorkshires were also very bland and vegetables hard. The roast potatoes were very good. Was really looking forward to our Sunday roast . We noticed we were the only ones having roasts in the bar, and other options looked much better the fish and chips and pie. Such a shame, but sadly we won’t be going back for the Sunday roast, maybe we will try the pie instead. But the restaurant needs to seriously consider the quality of the beef when charging so much.

This is a lovely well run pub - highly recommend a visit - very reasonably priced - can't fault it at all - will be returning!!!!!

Dropped by Saturday afternoon. Super friendly staff and attentive. Good choice of food on the menu and had the swordfish risotto, which was delicious. Loved the layout, decor, and ambience of this place. Keep doing what you're doing cos it's a 10 outta 10 for us.
