I was looking to have a custom cake made for my sons Spider Man theme birthday party. I had a very detailed design specification that Baker St Cakes followed and executed so well!! Not only did the cake look amazing but it also tasted amazing too!! Very impressed with design, quality and service!! Thank you so much for the beautiful cake, it was the finishing touch to our themed party.

Baker St made a beautiful macaron tower and small signature cutting cake for our wedding . It was so beautiful and tasted delicious ! There is a cliche that wedding cakes don’t get eaten but every last piece was enjoyed by our guests and many guests admitted to eating multiple macarons ! The communication was brilliant and the set up went smoothly ! Couldn’t have asked for more and we are so happy that we can visit Baker St when ever we want to try our macarons ! We even bought some to enjoy the day after our wedding ! Thank you so much to all the team !

I have ordered bespoke cakes a few times from Bakers St Cakes and the team never fail to surpass my expectations. From the variety of flavours to the friendliness of the staff and owner alike, this bakery ensures you have a 5 star experience everytime. Their basque cheesecake with pistachio sauce is by far the best version of basque I have tasted, and that includes the viral one from La Maritxu- yes I said it and I stand 100 percent by it. Give it a try yourself and prove me wrong!:) Other notable mentions are the ramadan brownies, dubai chocolae-inspired Nutella kunafe bar, cinnamon swirls and did I say basque cheesecake?:))) Keep up the flavoursome creations guys. You deserve all the accolades and more!

This place is amazing the staff the food and everything. One time I came here twice in a day! I would definitely recommend getting some macaroons.

If there was no stars option on here, I would have chosen it. The service is very poor and staff don’t even acknowledge you as a customer. You take a table, they notice you’re there, and don’t even offer to clear and clean the table for you or offer you a menu. Very stuck up people and not even sure why…for VERY average cakes and pastries?! I think it’s just another place for the Insta pictures - humble yourself down please, you’re nothing “special”

Wowwww I had the viral pistachio kunafe chocolate it was oozzzinnng with flavour.. ufff could definitely feel a sugar rush afterwards.

I rung on the phone to confirm they had the knafeh chocolate and was confirmed it was there however on arrival it was all gone?! however the guy who served us was very very sweet and really looked like he was doing his best especially in a busy cafe with customers whilst working on his own. The taste of the cake and chocolate was so delicious and i really enjoyed it! Wish you would ship the bars online!!

I purchased selection box of macarons as part of a gift bag I created for clients at work. Rave reviews were received by all, as the macarons are absolutely delicious. The staff were also very helpful, polite and friendly in accommodating my order and for having it ready to collect on the specified day and time. I highly recommend them personally and professionally if you are looking for something a little different as a corporate gift.

With my heavy heart, I rated you 2 stars. First of all, the chocolate burnt cheesecake I had was so wonderful it could make you forget all sadness in the world. It was that good, balanced, light, but rich, and so was the coffee. My empty cup and plate was the verdict. But the café that day was like a boombox. It was around 5pm Friday. I went in and there was a family of three sitting there already. I ordered at the counter and took a bar seat since I was alone. Then two more customers came in and started chatting with the family. They stood right behind my seat and didn’t even sit down. Their voices were so loud like people with hearing impairment who cannot hear themselves and need to turn up their volume all the time. I looked at them, and they didn’t even budge as if I were invisible. I didn’t need or want to hear about their family bragging. So, I left the café with my food untouched. I let the owner (I believe he was) know that I’d be back hoping they would quiet down by the time I came back. I expected to have a peaceful time after a long day at the end of the week, and my experience that day failed miserably. I know it’s not totally the café’s fault but your customers are part of your brand. And if your establishment attracts a certain type of clientele, that does say something about your brand. And that brand is not for me. You’re not the only loud food establishment in Leicester, luckily there are ones that are more serene too.

We ordered an 18th birthday cake and are so pleased we did. From the first email to collecting the cake, the service and attention to detail was excellent. The cake was more than we could have expected. It looked amazing and tasted delicious. Thank you Nailah for everything.

It was my first visit, I booked the afternoon tea here and it did not disappoint! A really great selection of sweet and savoury treats. Great coffee, amazing bakes- fresh scones and pistachio macaron in particular were firm favourites. Staff were friendly and accomodating, the setting was intimate but comfortable - overall a lovely experience and definitely worth visiting!

I came to the shop and was going to buy 6 slices of the big choc fudge cake but the owner very kindly suggested that the chocolate slab cake might be easier to serve. I just want to say a huge thank you not only for the suggestion but helping to make desert a success. My guests absolutely loved it. I served it warm with ice cream. It was delicious and not overly sweet.

I ordered a anniversary cake from Nailah and I was beyond impressed with the number of flavors they have for the cake and cake fillings. The frosting is nice and fluffy and the cake tasted absolutely delicious. My whole family were really amazed by the cake. Thank you so much and you never disappoint. We visited for an afternoon treat and I can’t recommend enough. I did catch the name of the hostess but she was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the products, intuitive and very efficient. The cupcakes, drinks and savouries were outstanding. Definitely worth a visit.

Ordered a Chocolate Devine birthday cake after seeing the store featured on Nadiyas TV programme. Positive point : The name says it all, it was simply divine. My husband is very peaky with cake and absolutely loved it all finished their plates!! It was light, delicate and well balanced. Negative point : Customer communication could be improved Order processing went well, however difficult to speak to anyone as it's online. When I got an email confirmation the answer was extremely short, I didn't know who wrote back to me, asking for a bank transfer, could have been anyone! The email was very dry and lacked of friendliness. At pick up the lady at the till looked miserable and didn't know the balance to pay and didn't advice on how to store the cake. As a premium patisserie you would expect the best customer communication at every point!

Orders a cake from this establishment as I been to the shop many times and it was always been extremely positive with amazing cup cakes etc Decided to order my daughters birthday cake in the most roundabout way with emails back and forth. The day of the collection, went to pick it up and first impressions cake looked amazing however there was a hair in the box. Totally put me off (the staff more than apologised gave cupcakes and macarons to make up for it. Which I thought was a nice gesture. If it weren’t for the urgency of the party, I wouldn’t have taken it with me. While at the party, started cutting the cake and the icing was stodgy almost artificial to the taste. There was no flavour to the Chocolate sponge. Very disappointing. Nothing like the cakes I have had at the store! Emailed Nailah for a compensation or something. Received a very cut and dry response. Frankly, the worst response I have ever had saying there’s nothing they could do and as the staff offered me a couple of cup cakes and 3 macaroons that was the compensation and if I’m to order again they could offer some discounts. It’s an absolute joke! Never again will I ever go to this ridiculous shop, waste my money and order any cakes!

This was an amazing cake ( I put the numbers on !!!) Customer service was first class especially as I don’t live in the UK so communication was mainly through email. Nothing was too much trouble and the cake exceeded my expectations 100%. Best pistachio Milk Cake in the Country

The award winning patisserie and cake boutique is a chic and stylish cafe which offers a large secretion of hand made delicacies. The items we ordered were the: Strawberry cheescake cupcake Winter berry cupcake Milk chocolate hazelnut praline cupcake Victoria sponge cake slice White hot chocolate Hot chocolate The strawberry cheesecake and winter berry were my favourites. Both having a soft vanilla sponge which was light and airy. The winter berry contained a luxurious berry coulis, which perfectly complimented the Chantilly cream and decadent white chocolate topping. The strawberry cheesecake on the other hand contained a freshly made strawberry sauce perfect for the summer season. The hazelnut praline was also very delicious, a Decadent chocolate sponge with a rich oozing Nutella centre, a chocolate lovers dream which does not fail to impress. The Victoria sponge slice was divine and contained a equal distribution of cream to strawberry jam. The portion sizes are just the right amount, which allows you to enjoy the patisserie and take in the flavours without it being too much. From the drinks selection we tried the hot chocolate which was topped with a generous amount of whipped cream and marshmallows. A perfect way to ending the meal. Overall, the proof is in the pudding as their cakes speak for themselves, and is definitely worth the try. The staff were lovely and very open in recommending what to try. It is a relaxed atmosphere and one to go, with friends or family.

I've had four bespoke cakes from Baker St Cakes now and every single one has been amazing. They are the best cakes I've ever tasted and Nailah has always been very helpful during the ordering process. Recently I asked them to do a 'cosmic theme' cake and I had complete trust in them to deliver another amazing cake. When I received the cake - I was blown away! Thank you for making another one of my events special. They are super talented with their cake designs and they truly deserve all of their success. Every time I share my cakes with friends and family, they are all equally amazed at the taste and presentation. We've tried a few different flavours now and they are all amazing - our favourite one is the Salted Caramel Toffee Crunch.

Appalling customer service. Was willing to purchase a higher priced cake for an occasion, yet employees seems to be incredibly unwilling to actually make a sale. We have reached out multiple times, in person, online and on the phone, and were just told to ‘Dm the Instagram page or send an email’ to which neither give a response. For such a ‘high end’ company, don’t expect the same customer service.

Lovely looking inside and cakes look nice but unfortunately very unwelcoming staff/rude so didn't bother with cake just had a drink which wasn't that nice so pretty disappointed. I think they only like customers who dress up to go in, I was in a tracksuit so maybe wasn't good enough for the clientele. I live local so go to the area a lot, craze has a lovely owner who is very friendly and it makes a big difference, some places act like they're too good for the customers who are paying them.

ordered a birthday cake and boyyy did it impress! oddly high but quirky, and presented immaculately. the cake itself impressed everybody. layers upon layers of goodness. we ordered the pistachio and rose. 😋 driving the cake home (20min drive) was quite the challenge. I truly tested my suspension and agility to ensure the open box cake was preserved. do not collect the cake on your own!

Was told they didn't do childrens birthday cakes even though loads of the cakes on their Instagram look like birthday cakes to me. Then when I asked them if they could do the different things I wanted it was no we can't do this, no we can't do that and then they were trying to change how I wanted my daughter's cake!

I’d stay far away from this place if you have any propensity towards beautiful confectionary that tastes as good as it looks. The Francis street store has a stunning aesthetic that makes excellent use of space and light. Tastefully decorated with flowers and an incredibly neat display that will satisfy any OCD tendencies, I found myself wanting to spend more time just taking it all in and trying more and more of the offerings. The staff are pleasant, knowledgable, and very accommodating in offering advice from the picturesque selection of delectable goodies. The macarons are the best I’ve ever tasted. I did a side by side with Laduree and bakerst are miles ahead. Finally pulled the trigger on a custom cake for my small ones birthday. My hesitation with all of these cakes is that they look good but are plastered with fondant and just taste horrible. Certainly not the case with bakerst. The cake was the centrepiece of the show and even though We had it the next day was moist, soft, and absolutely delicious. The cream was nothing short of perfect and complimented the chocolate sponge like hot chocolate and marshmallows. Unbelievable Can’t recommend this place enough!

Bought a cake which I went to pick up. The lady could not not provide me with a cake covering and says all customers have to take it like this. Just a base box with nothing to cover the top. Very disappointed this high class looking company can't provide its customer with a cake covering. Basic thing to provide to make sure it's protected. Had to drive extremely slow home and also cannot take this cake out to restaurants without a cake covering. With covid around and for general protection against others coughing and germs. Staff could not rectify my issue at the time of collection. Your staff member should be trained to a level if this was the case.

I / we have had their cakes on numerous occasions, this photo is regarding the first time I have tried them. The cakes are tasty and fresh, proper French style. A good balance of flavours and sweetness, regularly changing option wise. The coffee was good, staff nice and patient ( I do like to take my time ). Slightly overpriced for Leicester and in comparison to the other 2 places that I prefer while there, yet I wish to believe I’m paying for quality and that great things come in small sizes.

Good variety of cupcakes, individual dessert slices, brownies & cookies. It changes depending on the day so good idea to check out their IG account beforehand. Highly recommend the pistachio and strawberry slice. The flavour and texture of their cupcakes are good. I think they could improve the flavour of the frosting though. Can seem abit one dimensional. Really great service from the European lady. (Sorry dont know her name!) overall a great place to try a sweet treat thats a cut above the usual offerings.

Came into the store with some friends they had a huge selection of cakes which tasted great, and the woman who served us was lovely, and very accommodating packing our take out cakes and getting the ones we selected In store ready for us and bringing them over, however the Asian woman in the back gave a cold welcome, and me and my friends all felt awkward, we asked a question and her response was incredibly dismissive and rude, for that reason won’t be returning.

BEWARE NO TOILETS ☹️ Preston Cafe Lovely cafe and cakes. Polite staff and good service. Very disappointed to cut our visit short, as when we asked where the toilets where we were told they didn’t have any !! It meant we had to dash to my house (luckily only a few minutes drive away) crossing our legs and fingers that we made it through the traffic in time.

1st time at this place, although following them on Instagram. What a cute bright place. Everything looked sooo elegant. I went simple and brought their chocolate cupcake with hazelnut & chocolate praline. Well couldn’t even take a pic because it was demolished within a minute! Seriously tasty I just couldn’t stop and the brownie which was salted caramel and coconut… wow. First and foremost, ordering a cake from this organisation, was the most long winded process, after several emails back and forth, they completely ignored my request. I asked for the cake to be of ivory colour, they produced something, completely different, when I expressed my dissatisfaction, by email, I received a call from an individual called naeem, who had no listening skills, what so ever, and clearly no reading skills either, he was completely rude, not empathic at all, and in fact also made a threat. If you wanna experience poor customer do visit this place, if not I would give it a miss.

The place was smaller than expected. Received cakes well before the drinks then waited a while for drinks. The atmosphere was very cold, was never asked if everything was okay or if needed anything else etc. Price was reasonable. Think staff need to be a bit more welcoming. Not in a rush to return.

I’ve been here quite a few times, and it’s definitely a place to visit if you are in Leicester or Preston. They have cakes to suit anyone’s taste. I absolutely love this place and highly recommended! Nowhere else in Leicester has pastries, cakes and macarons like this, truly one of a kind.

First time visiting Baker St Cakes and the presentation of the cakes, tarts and macarons were good. I had a hard time what to buy as I wanted one of each item. When I got home both the tart and cupcake were amazing and definitely will be coming back for more. The cupcake had a very light airy marshmallow frosting that was covered with chocolate. The cake itself was very light and fluffy that melts in your mouth.

We booked a cake for our wedding which was understandably cancelled due to COVID. We were told the deposit could be transferred to another event, however when trying to arrange the other event it was impossible to try and speak to the team - I was met with blasé text messages. I was told Naeem would call me back, twice - he never did. For reference the wedding was in April, I contacted Naeem for another cake in Nov for a January birthday. Despite multiple messages trying to discuss design / flavour I didn’t get a call back. In the end with stress levels super high a week before the birthday I asked again for a refund as a clear breakdown in communication. Surprise surprise radio silence from the business. I do not recommend this business.

I had ordered a small birthday cake for my sons 3rd birthday. It was a yellow cake with a blue drip. It was the tastiest cake ever. I had tried Baker street cupcakes and based on that I had got in touch for them to do his birthday cake. It was so delicious chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream and the amount of sweetness was perfect icing wasn't too sweet either so it all tasted amazing together. I will definitely be going to Baker street again.
