Good beers on last night, and the lady said good cider too. Flavoured cider which she likes. Fairly full all night. Good chats.

Decent selection of beers which are changed regularly. No TV or music blaring, just a nice pub to enjoy a good drink with friends. The ale selection is almost entirely pale ales, with an occasional stout or porter. I’d love to see a darker malt beer, but so far I’ve been disappointed.

Brilliant beers friendly atmosphere

A bijou tap room in the trendy bustling Queens Road. Excellent selection of real craft and small brewery ales, beers and ciders (2 options when we visited) along with a canned and bottled selection, which is also available for take away. Helpful knowledgeable staff on hand and tasters available if the selection creates indecisiveness. Its moderately small and popular so don't go expecting to always get a seat, but the informal bench style tables means you may well meet new friends as they scooch up to make space for you A option to have tap take away too would make this bar perfect.

Absolutely superb micropub! Nick and Robin are welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable about the brews they serve!

Lovely place, nicely laidback and friendly. Great staff who are knowledgeable about their product without being know-it-alls. Never in your face and allow space to choose. Most importantly a place that encourages both inclusivity and acceptance.

Amazing selection of IPA’s - they do other things too. Friendly chatty manager. Cosy micro pub, no music so you can actually have a chat, or choose a board game or book off the shelf. Unique decor. Also dog friendly.

Loved it - amazing drinks, lovely staff, great clientele! Spent an afternoon here and it was a delight, I’m going to try to persuade my mates to come along next time.

A very nice micropub in an up and coming area of Leicester. So much to do in Queens Road, lots of drinking and eating establishments. But you could not go wrong by starting at the Queens Road Tap for a great selection of beers and cider with good wine and gin if prefer that. Everyone in there very friendly, easy to strike up a conversation. What pubs used to be!!

Had a great pint of cherry stout

Good variety of well kept beers available, keg and cask, with some great flavours. Didn't feel rushed when deciding what to try and barman was knowledgeable and made good suggestions, with samples. 1/3s and 1/2s available so could try a fair few of beers on offer. LOVED the Choc Cherry Porter!! We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and will definitely be regular visitors.

The beer was fine but acoustically it was terrible. We left and went elsewhere because just the sound of talking was so loud!

Delicious beer that is constantly changing. Small with a nice atmosphere and a convenient location. Friendly staff.

The beer tasted old and the only people that were there were friends of the owners. Beer selections wasn't inspiring. I won't be rushing back.

My first visit to this compact bar and I was greatly pleased by the range of real ales on offer and that the cask beers were priced reasonably. The keg beers on offer were much more expensive than the cask ones - which I cannot understand why that should be so since keg doesn't risk going off like cask due to it's use of inert gas blankets. My companions and I each selected different cask beers and all pronounced well satisfied with their choice. There is only a single quite small unisex toilet here so make sure to use "the facilities" well in advance of desperation otherwise expect to experience a time of "increasing anxiety" waiting for the occupant to emerge!

Nice joint with an interesting selection of beers. Raspberry white and peanut butter crunch were in the beer list! It's quirky decor and laid back ambience makes for a relaxing hangout. Didn't like the crackling though and would have liked something to go with my beer, but was a nice experience.

Sell quality craft beers though stocks found to be bit low over the December period. Somewhat lacking in atmosphere due to stark lighting and plain furnishing. Staff warm and helpful bunch. Civilised clientele.

We popped in the Tap for a late afternoon drink on a summer evening and were greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable barman - some gorgeous beers on tap here, plus ciders - also local gins - and there is wine, too. My husband had a great pint of his chosen ale, I enjoyed a beautiful gin. The second day we popped in twice, in fact, as it was so good and certainly the best place for a drink in the area - busier in the evenings, which adds to the atmosphere. No food is served, except perhaps nuts or crisps, but well worth a visit for the drinks on offer.

A Tollgate Brewery pub. If you like Tollgate you'll enjoy it here as its pretty much all they have on tap and draught. They have a little more of a variety in bottles. The atmosphere is cosy and friendly. In the early days the barkeeps unfortunately didnt really know their beers but they are getting better. Not one for the craft beer taster, but a nice nook to sink a few in with friends.

Cracking little craft beer bar/cafe on, unsurprisingly, Leicester's artisanal Queens Road. Friendly staff and patrons, really good selection of beer and a laid back, welcoming atmosphere. Place is quite light and fresh in decor - perhaps not quite what you'd expect from a pub - but looks and feels fresh.

Had a pint whilst waiting fior a kebab from Pavlos opposite. Great beers and cider. Lovely atmosphere.

Unique small bar selling real cask ales

Good selection of real ales & ciders for a small bar. Being a small bar seating is limited and there is only one shared loo. Otherwise a nice little place to have a beer.

Finally visited Queens Road Tap. I found the place quiet and lacking in atmosphere. But it is a nice place to try craft (Keg) beers. It was quiet but I enjoyed our visit here. Tallgate brewery beers. Normally four guest Keg which are served in one third, half or two third. No pints. Also usual Tallgate beers.

The Tap is a solid place to get some craft ale although it does have more of a feel of a cafe then a pub. A good place for one or two drinks but not too spend all night in.

It is a small with limited seats bar. It also isn't very cosy. But they do offer a good range on tap.

Love that this had opened much need addition to the area. My only observation on recent two visits when there have only been a few others is the atmosphere feels a little ‘cold’ maybe a bit of background music?

Really good beer, well-priced for the quality and lots of variety to try- you can get 2/3 or 1/3 pints too if you want to try a few. The staff are nice and enthusiastic too. Only thing I would say is that they close up shop early (10:30 On a Saturday night) when it would be nice to stay a little later. Great if you get there a bit earlier though!

Excellent, bar with a wide range of craft beers, many from the house brewery. Very knowledgeable, friendly barman. Locals seemed friendly, interesting bunch too, reflecting what I'd heard about this neighbourhood!

Really nice and new pub. Not your typical old fashioned pub, much more a new style one. The guest drinks are a really good deal, good quality and good price, quite cheap for what it is.

Had high hopes for this new place. Went for an evening drink with friends. Ale was good and reasonably priced. Atmosphere is a bit stark and bright. Not enough seating either. Last orders called at 9.45 pm and at 10.15 the barmaid held the front door open (to the cold) inviting us to leave !! Not good !

Reasonably priced ales (£3.15+) and a nice simple setting. No music which is a nice change. It will be quiet if there are only one or two couples there but once it fills up the atmosphere is lovely and you can still have a conversation without shouting. First time but I'll be visiting again. (Around 8 beers on tap if memory serves, some local, for those that are interested)

Just opened, so we popped in for an afternoon drink. Basic but nice, decor. Nice selection of craft beers and some gins. A welcome addition to the Queens Road family!
