It's all you would expect from a village cafe. Heather and Luke were so welcoming. I felt like I had known them for more than just 5mns!! What I particularly love is how fresh the ingredients are and how beautifully cooked. I went back 2 days in a row and enjoyed both meals.

We love the cafe, as does our 2 year old who's been asking to go all week! We took her in today and were met with the usual very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Food is always great, as is the coffee. At the end of our lovely visit our little one was given the chance to open the advent calendar and got a fantastic present. So happy to have this place available to us - and always great to find businesses run with such passion and pride. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

I Live in the Village where Coffee at number 9 is located, and my wife and I often pop in for coffee or go for some breakfast. You are always greeted with a warm and friendly welcome, and the staff make you feel relaxed from the moment you walk in. The big breakfast cooked up by Luke is fantastic, and in my opinion is an award winning breakfast. Very, very good quality food cooked how you like it. After I’ve eaten the big breakfast, I don’t need to eat for the rest of the day. It really sets you up for the day! The coffees they serve are great, and really hit the spot, and their cakes and treats are delicious. I would recommend Coffee at number 9 to anyone looking to fill their belly, or who are looking to have a nice cuppa or a Brew.

We visited the cafe what we found out was 10 minutes to closing time but we were told we could order. We heard the male owner persistently remark that they closed at 3pm and felt intimidated to rush our drinks so they could lock up and leave..He also closed the curtains around us in attempt to remind us that they were closing too. The fabric chairs were filthy and looked as though they had been used by a garage full of mechanics. One place neither my partner or I will ever visit again.

...or any other day! Love popping in here on a Saturday morning, with the boyfriend, before we go off to the football. We generally order the bagels with cream cheese and bacon. Being fussy, I always ask to have my bacon well done- and it is always cooked perfectly for me. They go really well with the hash browns which we order on the side. I don't drink coffee so I couldn't comment on it but the other drinks are good. I like the milkshake and the fact it comes in a glass milk bottle with a bendy straw and squirty cream is a cute little extra! Brilliant place to meet up with friends and have breakfast or a snack. The jacket potatoes are really nice with generous portion sizes on the fillings. It's a shame Mawsley doesn't have more passing traffic as this place would be much busier. That said, I also like that we can just pop in and get a table every time.

We regularly visit this lovely coffee shop and the food, coffee and cakes are always wonderful. Seems to be owned by a couple. The lady is a wonderful baker. The cakes really are divine and she is always baking new varieties. Milkshakes and hot chocolates also delicious. The lady is friendly and polite, as is the young waiter who helps the owners, but the man is "up and down" with customer service. If you catch him on a good day, he's friendly and jolly, but he's mostly cool, unsmiling and seems unhappy to be there. He has also started reducing opening times considerably. They now no longer open on Sundays or Mondays, and have gone from opening 8am to 4pm, to 9am to 3pm Tues - Sat! Only 30 hours a week! He also makes you feel very unwelcome if you come in nearer to closing time and will sweep around, tidy chairs and will say to new customers trying to enter that he's "closing in 10 minutes" from 2:20pm onwards! The lady is totally opposite and will serve you with a smile at 2:55pm! The food, coffee and cakes really do make it worth going back though, and the interior is so pretty and rustic. The place is also super child-friendly with lots of toys and they provide pictures and crayons for them to do colouring. Perfect for lunch and would be perfect for afternoon tea/afternoon coffee and cake if they didn't close so early!

We love this place! It's warm and welcoming and at the moment (leading up to Christmas) it smells fabulous. We stop by occasionally though we don't live at Mawsley and the coffee is always first rate. I had cappuccino this time and it was really good, with a proper strong coffee under the froth. So many times, cappuccino is just a load of hot milk vaguely flavoured with coffee, but this was a really great coffee. Its worth making the detour off the A43 for this place, I would recommend it to anyone. Love the shabby chic ambience as well - done naturally not fake!

What a gem! A small village coffee shop in the heart of Mawsley. You wouldn't know it was there, unless you live nearby, and in my view is certainly worth a visit. The atmosphere has a lovely buzz of everyone enjoying a lunch or coffee, and the owners are truly welcoming. Today, my young family were incredibly well catered for, with a fresh made to order lunch that was yummy and healthy, while I enjoyed the best hot chocolate ever! Following on Facebook and reading reviews, this place has quite the reputation for its cakes - a great variety, homemade by the owner, (who has exceptional baking skills), and in my view - cakes to die for! Thank you - we will be returning.

This was my first trip to 'Coffee at No 9', and if I'm honest, I expected it to be very good from all the 5* reviews. However, I was disappointed; the service was very unfriendly and it took about 10 minutes for our coffee, lemonade and cakes to be bought over. The staff seemed perfectly friendly to all of the 'regulars' but our drinks were bought over and simply put on the table, no 'enjoy', no smile, the staff seemed more busy talking to the regulars than serving us first timers. As I work in the catering business, I know how important good and friendly service is especially being an individual business. Nevertheless, the cakes were tasty.

I visit coffee at no 9 on a regular basis... The owners heather and Luke and the rest of the gang are very welcoming and friendly even to the point that i can go in alone enjoy my cake and coffee and have a nice chat to the staff... It's very relaxed and like being part of a little family whilst your in there. The food is amazing especially the soups and the chocolate brownies which I defy anyone to taste better elsewhere. There is a corner with a selection if toys and comfy sofas if you take children .. My children love it .. They enjoy the milkshakes and egg on toast! And my little boy loves the dinosaurs ... What's fantastic is even though the little ones make a mess it's never a problem. I also have had several birthday cakes made and they are absolutely brilliant . Having eaten here a few times now I felt I should write a review. I have always found the staff to be very kind-mannered and helpful. Both the full breakfast and eggs benedict have been delicious. They have a fantastic range of teas (can't speak for the coffee as I don't drink it but I understand that is very good too). The homemade cakes are always wonderful and their bespoke celebration cakes are very impressive. I would recommend having a look at their Facebook page to see some photos. Yes, their prices are higher your average greasy spoon but the food is so much better.

After visiting this coffee shop which is nicely located in the centre of mawsley village, I was appalled by the lack of 'customer service'. After taking a seat at the table where nobody greeted me or made me feel welcome it was over 10 mins before somebody served me or acknowledged me, it wasn't overly busy which I would of understood. While everyone else had been served I was wondering if you need to order at the counter rather than somebody come to your table this should be clearly stated to avoid people feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. I won't be making a habit of going out my way to visit this coffee shop. However the food was lovely but customer service is everything when running a business.

Coffee At No9 is fast becoming the hub of Mawsley village! This is down to the very friendly, especially welcoming owners, Heather and Luke, who have made a big effort to add that extra something. What is a coffee shop all about? After a bad breakfast here I swore I wouldn't use the cafe again but I thought I'd give it another go. It's pub food at best and doesn't match the ambience of the cafe at all. Or the ambience it used to have under previous management. Previous refined food with lovely extra ingredients such as capers, dill and olives have made way for 'bowls of chips' and quarter pounders. Still a good selection of coffees to have with your over buttered slabs of white bread with unexciting fillings and crisps. Lots left on our plates and no questions asked from the owners about if we were happy. Seemingly didn't care. I won't make the mistake of returning.

Classic traditional British cafe with a chilled atmosphere. Friendly, family run. Took my two kids (10 & 12) for brunch. Said they liked it because it was like ‘bobs burgers’ 😉 traditional English breakfasts, paninis, baguettes and tasty smoothies. Great value. My kids are nagging to come back - they’re tired of fast food at McDonald’s and KFC

We took the time to pre-book a table, on arrival although the table had a reserve sign on it people were using it. We were offered alternative seating on bar seats! This was not an option for us and found our own table. Drink menu was nonexistent for ale or bitter drinkers. We ordered our food and drinks, after 10 mins some came to advise that one of our food options was not available so new meal ordered. Food came roast dinners were great, pizza was questionable and the boa buns were a let down. During our food a waitress came over to see how things were and decided to clean some glasses and plates as she did this she leant over my mother in law who was try to eat her meal! We ordered from the 3 puddings the restaurant offers and after a good 5 mins the waitress came to say one wasn't available. Surely with only 3 puddings on the menu they should know what wasn't available. 15 mins later we were informed that there would be a slightly longer wait to receive the other two ordered puds. At this point we gave up paid the bill and left. I can 100% say we will not return

Me and two friends went for just some cake and coffee. I called up a day before to book a table on a Sunday and was told we didn’t need to book for just cakes. When we arrived we where told they only have people for roast dinner on Sundays and I explained about the phone call, so he sat us down about 20mins after we got our cake and coffee we where told we had to leave in 5 minutes as they had somebody coming in for the table we had to leave without finishing our drinks or cake and paid full price. This was absolutely disgusting behaviour and a waste of money
