Julie's cafe in Kettering

Visited on Saturday 28th December for the usual breakfast. Plenty of choice on the menu for breakfast, lunch etc, and a good choice of drinks. When we got there it was quite cold in the cafe which i really dont like, but thats just my preference. The cafe is run by a couple who were friendly and the service very good. Both myself and the wife went for the Full English at £7.70 with 2 toast. Food was lovely and hot and tasty, the sausages really nice as was the bacon. My only gripe in any cafe when visiting is the sauce. I expect good quality brown sauce and ketchup and in this instance was let down as it affected the taste of the very well cooked breakfast. I usually carry a couple of sachets of HP Brown sauce just in case, but forgot on this occasion. Cafe`s like this need support and this is a lovely little cafe so people of Kettering and surrounding areas, make sure you visit here for good food at a reasonable price. Plenty of parking in and around. Overall a great cafe, just change your sauce please, but again thats me being picky.

Had the cooked breakfast via delivroo. I got to say they are the best cooked breakfast take out. Food was hot. thick tasty bacon. Mushrooms cooked to prefect. No pool of grease. 10 out of 10. Definitely will order again.

Delicious Food full of flavour Chefs are brilliant at cooking Staff members are cheerful and Bright also welcoming and double checks orders with all orders corrected and any problems solved . Dining area is bright with all different designs to look at Comfortable dining area and spacious . Food rated ✅ and not highly priced Affordable and variety from lots of choices to choose from on the menu . Happy customer :) Thank you keep up the good work.

1st time here and wow loved it great food warm and inviting

Can't recommend this lovely cafe highly enough. We've been coming here for years and it's always our favourite for a full English, which they serve all day. All the staff are so friendly and make you feel very welcome. The coffee is also gorgeous! I'm very particular over my Americano and they serve actual proper coffee! We've never had a bad experience. Also love that they are open till 5pm, every day but Tuesday when they're closed and Sunday when they're only open till 4pm. Very hard to find other cafes that serve a fry up so late. We love them!

Our absolute favourite local place to get breakfast! You get everything you want on a full English and it's perfect every time. We've been going to Julie's for years and love it's consistency. Quality ingredients and perfectly cooked food. Lovely friendly, fast service and great value.

Said they liked it because it was like ‘bobs burgers’ 😉 traditional English breakfasts, paninis, baguettes and tasty smoothies. Great value. Love this cafe. Good food at a good price. Lovely owners. Nothing is too much trouble. Vegetarian breakfast is excellent.

Great place to have a full english breakfast. Their sausages need some improving though, i think they might be oven cooked so thats why they taste a bit rubbery rather than crunchy. Other than this, i really enjoyed my visit and the service was great.

Visited Julie’s Cafe today and had a full English breakfast. Warm welcome, lovely cup of tea and breakfast was very tasty, exactly as the photo. I really enjoyed it and there is an absolutely fantastic menu, something for everyone. Highly recommend a visit and I will be going back for sure.

Great food ,Great staff and Great value for money

Looking around Kettering for days trying to find a decent place to get a full English breakfast. Finally finding Julie's café. This place is great, the food is amazing and the table Service is really friendly. For the food itself, the full English is really well made and tastes fantastic with plenty on the plate, hats off to the chef 👨‍🍳. I would definitely recommend this little café to anyone. Their menu is massive, we can't wait to visit here again. Big thumbs up 👍

Went here for the first time last week.i wasn't disappointed i got a lovely fried breakfast, takeaway chicken salad and a slice off cake for just over £10 with money off for care workers. Husband and wife team very hospitable.

Had a lovely breakfast at Julie's this morning. The service was friendly and very happy to accept me having a coffee while waiting for a friend, once said friend arrived they were attentive without being pushy and took our breakfast order. Everything we ordered turned up in good time and all cooked really well. It's an absolute pleasure to have grilled tomatoes on a breakfast that are actually properly cooked instead of being mostly cold with a black grill line on the top. Decent quality bacon, and tasty sausages made this an experience I'll happily repeat. The burger and omelette sections of the menu also make me want to come back for lunch sometime soon. Good value overall too. 2x full English breakfasts, extra black pudding and total 5 coffees for under £30

Great hot breakfast, good tea and coffee

The breakfast Is very good size and value for money and they have a good coffee! Puds tho not for me apple pie was still frozen and custard has no sugar so very horrible powder taste - pud was only let down!

I never new this place existed, it's tucked away a bit. I liked it straight away, cosy and inviting, not like some of the other bland, clinical 'modern' places. A very extensive menu, I settled for a toastie which was delicious. A lady I was chatting to had a full English which looked delicious. I'll certainly go back

Absolutely shocking and rude behaviour from the cook! Went in paid for a breakfast said I’m going shop and be 5 mins, return back to get my breakfast. He had given my food to a just eat delivery driver so he had given the wrong order to them also because it was mine so someone else would have been expecting a different one. He refused to cook me a new one swore in the shop and took me an argument in his shop to get my money back as he said it wasn’t his problem. Rude service would never return

Lovely Jacket potato and beans and to top it off they actually had perfect salad too, I hate the taste of pesticides and brown salad but they served fresh and clean salad impressive. They had a nice tea in a pot to compliment the meal.

Had a Full English here yesterday. What a gem of a place! You get a 'Good Morning' from everyone as you walk in and the food and the service is second to none. The prices aren't bad either! Would thoroughly recommend.

I visit Julie's Cafe just once. I've been there not long ago , for breakfeast. The taste of the food is exceptional and the service is very nice. Peoole working there are very kind.

Never had a single issue with Julie's. We love the food and it's our go to lunch on treat days. My son was so excited when he found a little lollipop in with his kids meal, and lotus busicut with his hot chocolate, that was a really lovely touch. Thank you so much🥰 Food is always delicious and hot when meant to be. Our fav Cafe and couldn't recommend enough!

Had breakfast here today with my kids, who are fussy. Staff was friendly, attentive to my kids extra requirements. Price reasonable, food was banging. I'll be back without a doubt

Extremely poor service, ordered breakfast through Uber eats and paid for priority delivery, delivery time said 35 minutes. Over 50 minutes passed and I checked the arrival estimate which had changed again to another 40 minutes. Called the store and they weren’t much help, only said “yeah we’re busy” food eventually came 2hours 5 minutes after I placed the order, certainly wasn’t breakfast time by the time the food came. Also to add to it, chicken roll had minimal chicken in it, breakfast came with no beans and burnt toast. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Just had a Chicken and Bacon sandwich delivered, it was the best I've ever had in kettering. Hot cooked perfect and the bread was very fresh, fast delivery to. Would recommend to anyone.

Order instructions followed to the T absolutely perfect ..it's so good to see another restaurant following these and pleasing their customers .. keep up the great work to ALL the staff at the café 👍👍.

Came here on Sunday 1st of may with my dad and my dads friend. We all had Julies breakfast with bacon sausages fried egg beans and black pudding. and a cup of tea. We all got a free biscuit with are tea. Also the cafe was doing a lot of deliveries. We will definitely be coming here again!

Absolutely amazing lasagne. Far better than any Italian restaurant I’ve been to. Great price, perfect temperature and nice portion size. Bonus to be able to have it with jacket potato and salad (at no extra cost) instead of chips. I’ll be back.

This is the best cafe in Kettering town to sit down and eat as their food its really tasty cooked very well. Very nice couple running the cafe now and its better than ever.

It was the first time that we had ordered from Julie's Cafe and it certainly will not be the last! The food was hot, when it arrived, it also looked and tasted great! They even cater well to vegetarians; strongly recommend the vegetarian breakfast wrap! 😉 Thank you, so much!

My favourite cafe in town by far. The food is good, fairly priced, and well cooked and generously portioned. The set breakfasts are particularly good value. The staff are all friendly, polite and diligent and, if you go here as often as I do, they remember your order. Couldn't fault them if I tried.

Ordered with them through uber eats. 1 hour and a half later, we had still not got our food so I called them only to be told that we had not provided an address. Upon checking the order, the address was clearly there and I use this account weekly and never had any issues before with the address. The man on the phone was incredibly rude to me and said they had been calling me all morning but my phone has not rang once. They have cancelled the order and said I have to order again but we will not be purely because of the poor customer service I recieved. My pregnant friend just wanted some eggs :(

Ok, another Uber eats delivery rather than eating in the cafe, but have to say I was very impressed. Lovely breakfast, that was very warm and really good value. I would recommend this for anyone during lockdown. I will be ordering again next weekend.

Food is fine but definitely not service with a smile, the woman is so rude. We sat down to choose our order but we wanted takeaway. She was muttering under her breath about us taking up tables that were for customers but the restaurant was basically empty. Just unnecessary.

Perfect breakfast friendly staff worth for every pennys

We were in Kettering early on a Saturday morning and after doing what we needed to do we went in search of a cafe for breakfast. A google search showed a few close by and we decided to check out Julie's Cafe. After a short walk from the town centre we were at the front door to the cafe. After a quick peruse of the menu, and spotting a reassuring 5 hygiene rating on the door, and we decided to head in. We certainly made the right choice. We orded a Full English Breakfast (£6.25) and a Julie's Super Breakfast (£7.45) with extra toast and two mugs of tea. The food was freshly cooked and didn't take long to arrive. The quality of the produce exceeded expectations for a cafe and wasn't at all greasy - probably the best cooked breakfast we've had in a long time. We would highly recommend Julie's Cafe - very clean and good social distancing in place. Having looked at the rest of the menu we may be tempted back for a lunch soon!

Had Julie's amazing food a few times now, sadly only by delivery as she keeps me going working from home, but, that doesn't stop the food tasting great, the service on the phone and by the driver have always been second to none and again the food is great. For breakfast there is no better price for what you get in my opinion, cooked well, very presentable and not swimming in grease. Need to visit the cafe when lockdown is done and try some other bits. Menus offer great selection... got my mouth watering writing this, good job my order is awaiting delivery today :) Thank you Julie and everyone else....Enjoy!!!

Friendly staff and atmosphere with food that is both great and fairly priced

Ordered a take away from here today, 2xJulies super breakfast, and orange juice and an apple juice. Firstly I was a little sceptical about how it would be with being delivered but it was amazing! Food was cooked as I ordered and was really good. The price was fantastic. I will 100% be ordering again, thank you!

The most affordable cafe ive been in in Kettering. Clean, fairly spacious, friendly staff. Would have given 5 stars if I could have put my own milk in my tea, there was a bit too much for my taste.

Have vlbeen to Julie's a couple of times now for breakfast. It is really lovely food, not shy on the portions and freshly cooked, griddled too so not dripping in fat. It is really good value and a cracking cup of tea too.

Went in here a few weeks ago and again this Sunday for a late breakfast super fast service and lovely hot fresh food cooked to order, won’t be eating down Morrison’s anymore this is far far better.

Great breakfasts, I sneak in here about once a month ;-) Only complaint (boring miserable git that I am), is that I prefer to pay ‘up front’.....so I can clear off the moment I have finished my grub.

Impromptu visit as we hadnt had lunch and walked into town. Stopped off for a quick bite to eat and was pleasantly surprised. Omlette was lovely, my son had a huge chicken baguette and husband enjoyed a nice fluffy jacket potato. Out of town but worth a visit. Good prices too.

Went to Julie’s recently and can I say the food and service was excellent, my only complaint would be the quality of the sausage used(I’m fussy with sausages) m, next time ill swap the sausage for frankfurter

Ordered from here for delivery, even though they said 45mins for delivery it was just over by the time we received our food. Food was just what we wanted however they forgot the milk shake the driver went straight back and got it for us with apologies. Will be using them again

Such a delicious full English breakfast. We came back the next day for lunch. All meals were good quality and yummy. The staff are great and friendly. Prices are good. I will definitely come back to this place when I am in Kettering.
