We visited Salt and Shine the new Thyme for Meze. We were seated upstairs which was fine, but cold in a Feb lunch time in Chorley. Bizzare that you are seated then have to go to the bar to order, is this a restaurant or a cafe? The food was great, we had white wine, but no bottle chiller, maybe that is why the place was cold! Not expensive and would return, but some easy wins for this new venture, I hope you make the little improvements as could see you as a big hit.

I needed somewhere that delivered a Sunday roast due to recovering from heart surgery and I came across this place nearby that did just that. Once it arrived it was hot and smelt amazing. The portions were very generous and the food tasted absolutely amazing! Me and my kids absolutely enjoyed every bit. It was all homemade even the Yorkshire puddings. We even have the puddings and the crumbles were excellent. Honestly this place is a little gem and we will certainly be repeat customers. Thank you all for a lovely meal

Newly refurbished bistro that is welcoming clean and friendly. Good quality ingredients made into fabulous meals and or snacks. I had brunch here this week with my dad and husband. I can tell you the ciabatta scrambled eggs with truffle and salmon is to die for. Will definitely be visiting again.

We both had the classic avo. Home made bread, fresh avocado and perfectly poached eggs. You couldn’t ask for more, other than a really good cup of coffee. So we had those too. Staff were very friendly and we were very tempted by the great selection of cakes. We resisted this time but I don’t think we’ll be able to next time😋

Decided to visit this establishment as an overdue Valentine’s Day meal with my girlfriend following some great reviews on trip advisor. Unfortunately, it did not live up to its expectations. There were only two members of staff on (who you could see were really rushed off their feet so we did feel somewhat sorry for - they were evidently trying their best). However, an hour and a half wait for nice but cold food was a bit far. During that time nobody came to offer further drinks or to check on us. We were served the meal without cutlery (by the chef?!), which again we had to wait further for. Nobody checked that we were enjoying our meal (or even returned upstairs), if they had, we would have informed them it was cold. Our second round of drinks 2 hours after the first arrived with the wrong drinks order. The decor is lovely however upstairs was cold and there was no music. The establishment certainly has the potential to be great but our experience was very much the opposite to that otherwise described on here.

What a gem of a pub! We stayed locally for a couple of nights so we were just around the corner. We arrived to a very friendly chap who helped us with information on where to eat, as this pub doesn’t serve food. The locals were very friendly, chatting about the area and where to visit. The land lady was absolutely lovely and friendly. We went back a second night to be greeted extremely well by the land lady and an interest in where we had been that day. We had visited a lot of the sights of Shrewsbury. There are few pubs left in our country like this so visit! A real community feel that should never be lost! Thank you so much to Shrewsbury people!

Came here during a ride out from home on my Harley. Opted for Quiche, salad and a banana and strawberry smoothie. Food was totally delicious and I was able to get a table outside to both watch my bike, enjoy the sun and the amazing view. Highly recommend The Alley for an excellent lunch.

We were travelling home to England and all needed a breakfast ! We initially drove into the centre of Criccieth to find other cafes busy. We decided to journey home and stop at a roadside cafe if and when we saw one! Further down the road I saw a sign for Cafe and Fisheries and we immediately turned left and thank goodness we did ! We followed the forest road and came to a small pond and benches some swings and a cafe ! They allowed dogs which was great and as the weather was sunny we walked through the cafe and to the other side to a decked area overlooking a beautiful lake. The cafe was popular and some people we eating teas a cakes which also looked amazing ! We ordered 4 large breakfasts and were not disappointed ! Lovely friendly service and lovely food with a lovely view ! So glad we found this haven and didn’t get a bacon buttie from Criccieth as originally planned . This will definitely be our homeward journey breakfast stop off from now on !
