Gloria's Lounge & Cafe in Thanet

Newly refurbished bistro that is welcoming clean and friendly. Good quality ingredients made into fabulous meals and or snacks. I had brunch here this week with my dad and husband. I can tell you the ciabatta scrambled eggs with truffle and salmon is to die for. Will definitely be visiting again.

The food is freshly made and service excellent, the best chips for miles, the owner talks to his customers and enjoys great banter between all his customers. I visit here at least 3 times a week.

Popped in early on a Tuesday morning. Warm and inviting. I opted for the breakfast special, egg, hash brown, bacon, sausage, toast and beans. Washed down with a mug of tea. Nice quality bacon and sausage. I would happily eat here again.

Best cafe in the area!! They have the best sphaghetti Bolognese around you have to try!!! And you have to try there deluxe milkshakes 😍

We order take away from here for our workplace regularly - food is always well priced, good quality and fresh.

Visited Gloria’s lounge last week, and left wanting to come back for more, Ordered a rib eye medium which was cooked to perfection, and the salads were nice, fresh and tasty, The cappuccino was amazing also, And the homemade cakes to die for, Will return every time I’m in the area, Service was nice and friendly Highly recommended

You won't find a better breakfast cafe in East Kent. And there's a lot of competition. It's not just the food, which is excellent, but the people who work there and the clientele. It's a real social meeting and mixing place for people from many different backgrounds, brought together by a common love of good times, good coffee and good food. As an added bonus, it's also scrupulously clean.

I adore this place! The food is forever top quality and fairly priced! We are always greeted by warm smiles, family friendly and welcoming environment. The staff always interact with you personally and the children, we go pretty regular as it is our favourite place to eat. Highly reccomend the Angus steak burger and grilled halloumi!

I must admit I've missed this little gem at Gloria’s. I like my usual poached eggs on toast(two) or cheese omelette with chips and salad, or there cheese or ham salads, sometimes accompanied by a small portion of chips! But, when I came in with my lady friend during the week and she just fancied there Banana Sundae with lots of cream on top of the ice cream!! I chatted to a couple near us that were both having what looked like a very delicious soup!! It was actually Gloria’s(Ben’s the owners) Soup of the Day, that was braised chicken, courgettes & summer vegetables on a chicken consommé!! served with a buttered roll. Well, I tried it, and it was lovely, plenty of it as well in a big stainless steel bowl. Another favourite!! Must mention the Latte Coffee as well, which I always have with my meal/snack there!! Very, very nice!! Better than a certain other, well I think so!! Although I didn’t have it with my Consommé!!

Had the best breakfast ever and the cake I ordered for my birthday was simply delicious !! Excellent coffee, very friendly staff and a chilled atmosphere ! Various choices of cakes and superb ice-cream flavours ! Highly recommended !!!

Gloria’s is a lovely eatery, undersold as a Cafe offering a huge selection of special dishes alongside classics such as all day breakfasts, eggs, omelettes, burgers and the most amazing fried chips. A huge variety of coffee, hot chocolate, puddings and ice creams with most items made and prepared by the owner Ben and his staff. A lovely atmosphere and friendly service is always on offer and in the summer time, the garden is a delight.

Popped in here for a spot on lunch, just had jacket with tuna and he had omelette & chips (his chips were very nice) both were nice. It was a sunny day so we sat out in the garden which was a nice surprise, only small but a nice option. We will go back for a nice little cheap eat,

We are often here to eat and is always perfect lunch , fast, fresh and friendly staff. Definitely the best in Cliftonville!!!

Having tried many of the varied menu items We have yet to be disappointed. My wife's favourite is cheese and bacon omelette with salad as part of her diet (she lost 2 stones).. You must try the home made soups, vegetable and chicken is very nice but my favourite is 3 bean soup.( a meal in a bowl withor without the bread roll). A cappucino that is rich and creamy to the bottom of the cup to complete your meal. Prices give no cause for concern and the staff, especially the ladies give a faultless service with a smile. If you want to leave with a lighter heart have some easy banter with Ben and his young sidekick Bill (sorry ladies this youg man has a girl friend). Newspapers are normally availble to read over breakfast. A must go place to eat.

Gloria's is such a lovely place to eat your always made to feel very welcome, staff very attentive & great decor,myself & my husband enjoy a regular breakfast there which is delicious, I also had the occasion to order a cake for my granddaughter's 18th birthday it was perfection she was delighted,looked fantastic ⁢ tasted scrummy, my granddaughters words I would highly recommend Gloria's to everyone.

Delicious food, fabulous outdoor sitting/eating area ( great for kids) highly recommend the omelette with chips .. also had a Beautiful birthday cakes made to order ( my little girl loves it.

My son and I had breakfast here. I had the chorizo, mushroom and crumpet special, I think it was called the Gloria’s duplex special. My son had a breakfast. Staff are lovely and friendly and there is no grease on there breakfast. I would recommend if your in this area.

We love to pop into Gloria’s for a wonderful choice of very well cooked food. The dishes are sensibly priced and there is a great choice of hot and cold drinks. There caramel Latte is very,very nice! There “secret of success, we think, is not only the great food, but the wonderful friendly staff”. So very nice to be there.

Been going to Gloria's for a few months now. Cannot fault the staff as well as the food. Little gem hidden away in Margate. Would highly recommend! Chicken mayo is to die for :) from the boys at Minty's Car Sales.

We dropped into Gloria's for breakfast on Saturday, and WOW, we didn't expect to find such a great lounge and cafe hidden away in Cliftonville.

I have visited Gloria's before and it was ok. But this time I was in margate and asked a friend if he could recommend anywhere in the area for an extra good breakfast as we fancied something extra nice. He recommended Gloria's so we decided to try it and have the super brekkie. It was very disappointing. Although the staff were great. The cooking of the food and quality was in our opinion poor. The cafe is very clean. And parking was no problem. You decide.

Freindly service and good wholesome and very cheap food. Very good value for money. I have eaten her quite a few times now, always big portions, well presented and very filing. I have had salads, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and brakfasts. All excellent and good value.

Come here most mornings and Ben the owner is polite friendly and the coffee and food are delicious If your ever passing through this way pop in you won't be disappointed

Popped in to have a quick snack. Food was ok but not sensational the crisps with the sandwich were a little stale but the sandwich was good. Bacon well cooked and enough of it

Have been several times and have had tasty home cooked food with extra care taken on the presentation . One of the few places I have been to where the butter goes right to the edge of the bread !! The owner and staff are very welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much trouble . It is not a huge menu but what they do is excellent , I recommend you try Gloria's you won't be disappointed.

Now that Gloria's is open , I like the new look and the garden is a big surprise , and well worth a visit

Just popped in for a spot of lunch. Simple toastie absolutely delicious. Nice little touch with the hand cooked crips on the side salad. Proper stringy yummy cheese. Mediterranean cafe with patio seating outside and all on my own doorstep. Couldn't fault it. X
