Decided to visit this establishment as an overdue Valentine’s Day meal with my girlfriend following some great reviews on trip advisor. Unfortunately, it did not live up to its expectations. There were only two members of staff on (who you could see were really rushed off their feet so we did feel somewhat sorry for - they were evidently trying their best). However, an hour and a half wait for nice but cold food was a bit far. During that time nobody came to offer further drinks or to check on us. We were served the meal without cutlery (by the chef?!), which again we had to wait further for. Nobody checked that we were enjoying our meal (or even returned upstairs), if they had, we would have informed them it was cold. Our second round of drinks 2 hours after the first arrived with the wrong drinks order. The decor is lovely however upstairs was cold and there was no music. The establishment certainly has the potential to be great but our experience was very much the opposite to that otherwise described on here.

Lovely decor, great food and a wide selection of beverages. Food was well presented and tasted great (We had the chicken and beef rib). Slightly hidden away but well worth the visit for a meal or a few drinks. Will be visiting again.

Due to current roadworks you may not stumble across this place. However you should go and find it as the food is exceptional. We had 5 dishes - short rib, chicken thighs, cod, sausage and the chips - each one was cooked and presented to a high standard. Personally the short rib and chicken thighs were my favourites, they were on another level, full of flavour and perfectly cooked. The manager and chef were both welcoming and friendly to talk to. Great choice of drinks too, I can recommend the apple jam ice tea cocktail. All in all a really enjoyable visit! Well done, keep up the great work.

I visited before Xmas for a works Xmas meal and all of us were blown away by the quality and value of the food. This coupled with the outstanding service makes this a place you must try. This is a small independent establishment hidden away on Gas Street, and so does find itself competing with the more favourably located restaurants in Brindley Place, but this is only a two minute walk away and a welcome escape from all the chained restaurants and bars. I have a feeling this place may struggle as for some reason in this country people tend to gravitate to the well known chains (Piccolino, All Bar One) rather than give the independents a try. I hope I'm wrong as Craeft really does to deserve to be a success.

Fantastic night out, food was exceptional (we had sharing platters and they were beautifully presented and very tasty.) Good selection of beer and drinks, plenty of cocktails to choose from. Egg Nog was fantastic!!! Very friendly staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend and we will be back soon!

Came here with a group of friends for Xmas lunch, was swept away by the food there was 20 of us and every single plate was a piece of art and tasted amazing you can tell the work that had gone in to it, I had the beef and it was best thing I’ve eaten in a long time one of our party members didn’t show up so I ate there’s as-well after the chef said I could have it I had an great time be back in January for more !

Came with a group of friends and was really knocked out by the food and service. I can’t stop thinking about how delicious the beetroot cured salmon was ! Lovely trout for the main too and a good selection of cheese to finish. The service was friendly and attentive without getting in the way. We came in with soaking wet coats and brollies from the pouring rain and they made sure to help us get them dry and warm. Good location, good food and wine, friendly service and atmosphere - all for a reasonable price - will definitely go again.

This place is a real hidden gem in the centre of Birmingham. Top quality food, great service and excellent beer and wine. I had the short ribs and it’s the best beef I’ve ever eaten! A great little independent restaurant in the heart of the city - and a welcome alternative to all the chains. Well worth a visit!

We had a fantastic evening at Craeft last night. Lukas and his team were very accommodating for our large group and the food, service and drinks were excellent. Try the homemade eggnog - it’s delicious!

My partner and I had been to Craeft a few times in the past, so when it came to her 30th birthday, there was a clear choice for dinner. The staff helped me out loads in planning a really special evening, and when it came to the night itself, they were attentive and helped make the whole night special. We had almost 20 people, and we ate pretty much everything on the menu. Everything about this place is just lovely to be a part of and they deserve every success. This is a real gem in Birmingham!

Popped here a couple of times now and it's such a hidden treasure lovely people working there. I didn't get there names. The lady who cooks is amazing and delivers really good food and the lovely man behind the bar serves the best Gin. Will return again and again. Thanks Guys xx

It's not often that I a write a review on the same day as visiting but this one of them! The title of my review says it all. Totally not a mainstream place. Great service, food and quirky surroundings. Sam and Jai have a great thing going. We will be back.. perhaps to spend the entire afternoon next time :-)

I came with my mum when she visited town. Jai welcomes us like family and made the whole experience fun but not intrusive - just perfect! We had the recommended ribs and hats off to Sam - sooooo good! Photo attached with the ribs! Keep doing what you guys are doing!

The four of us celebrated our friends birthday here. What a great experience we had. Jai was ever attentive with suggestions for superb food and accompanying drinks and the whole meal felt very special. We tried cocktails and beers we had never had before, (loved the Moose Springsteen), fantastic dry reisling and shared excellent food all personally cooked by Sam. Our birthday friend Jill is gluten free and it was no problem at all, plenty of options and choices. We all loved it.

The staff are very friendly. Food was fresh and well prepared. We ordered the sausage and the salmon. Both really good. We also ordered chips on the side and they were the best we've had in a long time. I'm sure we'll be back.
