Fabulous cafe that's hidden away. Very friendly staff, food delicious.

Just amazing! Excellent service, food and ambience. Very good value for money. Tea pots are as featured in Poldark. Next time, please can we have Poldark pour the tea. :)

We drove across Birmingham to visit and were not disappointed. The staff were funny and friendly, the vibe is stylish but relaxing. Our food was delicious and we are already planning to combine our next visit with a treatment at the on site salon!

Lovely place on the map! Such a shame I never been here before as the atmosphere is just brilliant. Lovely staff which took great care of me even tho Ive came on my own and had only coffee and a cake and haven’t ordered food today Peter been kind enough to give me a big space by the comfy sofa (: I came here to do some work and sat by the window which is perfect spot if you need your space and chilled atmosphere. In a meantime had a chat with lady who works here (Ruth), very polite and friendly, then a bit later the other lady (Jodie) came to me to ask if I want to have blinds down as the sun was shining throughout the window on my laptop. So kind and very friendly staff members! Will be coming back more often! Massive, Thank you Jodie, Ruth, Peter ! Hopefully see you soon!

It’s always a pleasure to visit this cafe. The quality of the food is exceptional. Plus they give great customer service! Shout out to the young tall lad on tills. He’s doing an excellent job! 5 stars, all round. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, good vibe to the seating and decor and the full English and coffee were great tasting! Only happened to be popping in because my car was booked in at Autoglass but I would definitely return if ever I was in the area again. Thank you!

Had a lovely event here. Was looked aftered so well. The hospitality was amazing here. Cafe is very spacious and there's ample free parking nearby. City centre is couple mins away and it's very accessible to get to via bus.

I visited Rising Cafe, as my friend always wanted to go. On entering, there is a rustic, nautical, and laid back feel due to the wooden decor, vintage incandescent hanging light bulbs, and leather seats. We were greeted warmly, and the menu (I'd looked at this before going) has something most people would enjoy. The homemade baked goods were mouthwatering. During our 2 and a half hour stay I saw customers come to collect orders, lunch with colleagues, have a hot drink with a newspaper, and work on a laptop. The staff are attentive and funny. Thank you for a great first experience, I will definitely be returning to try something else on the menu.

Showed up at 9 as 8.30 is stated open sign, left with confused staff looking at me try and open the door as doesn't open until 10!!

Stopped by here for breakfast. Great service, great food, and a great atmosphere. A gem of a find. The breakfast was delicious and great value too!

Went for a quick business lunch. The decent size of the club sandwich compared to the price. Had a lime sprizzle, not sure if I am the fan tbh. Don't know why, but it seems everywhere in Birmingham they are adding balsamic sos to the salads.

This is a hidden gem. This is a great place run by a charity and its also connected to the church next door. The food is tasty and good portions. They also make cakes to order. Will make this place a regular.

Had our first visit to the rising cafe. It is really nicely done out with friendly staff and very good food. Prices are very reasonable and we really liked the community ethos of the cafe. I hope it goes from strength to strength

Love the cafe and what it does for the people who work there, the food is fabulous but most of all the people who work there are so nice. I will use the cafe a lot more to help for what it does for the people who need help in their lives. Please go and see for yourself. A shout out to Nicola lovely woman.

Just happened to pop in here while we were waiting for some work to be done on our car and i am so glad we did. The outside is already pleasant and clean, but it is just a taster for the inside which is so nicely decorated and laid out with reclaimed wood fixtures, rustic lighting and lovely seating. You grab a table (or you can reserve too) and just order at the counter with everything being delivered to you in a good turnaround time, drinks first, food to follow. I ordered their 'Best of British' toastie and the wife ordered a baked potato with Chilli along with a pot of tea for me and a coke for her. The whole lot came to a decent £17 all in. All of the food was fresh, hot, very well presented and very generous. My wife pointed out that the chilli was a little spicier than she would normally choose, but couldn't stop eating it as it was so tasty, and i would have to agree when i grabbed a cheeky forkful. My toastie was very generously filled with sausage, caramelised onion and cheese, a very gooey, sweet, savoury, meaty mess and tasted excellent. Chips provided were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and the side salad on both plates with the balsamic glaze was a lovely contrast. Coke was a standard can, but provided with a lovely tall oice filled glass and the pot of tea was a good 3 cups, again, very generous compared to some places. All of the staff were cheerful, polite and very helpful with the atmosphere in there being quite lively, a lot of chatter, laughter and informal business meetings going on, certainly a popular place. If you are in the area, it is well worth a drop in, even just for a coffee, just to enjoy the surroundings and atmosphere.

A pleasantly surprising find in this area of Birmingham, which is very industrial. It's a charity-based, modern restaurant, with a small but varied menu. The food that we had and the food we saw being served, was and looked delicious. Generous portions - we had chilli rice and chips, which had a home-cooked taste.

It’s so nice to see a cafe outside of the city centre. It’s got all of the friendly, warm, cosy vibe you’d want in a coffee spot. 10/10

Fabulous little café. Literally just a 2 minute walk from the Autoglass centre. Exceptional food and service at a very reasonable price. So, if you don't want to sit and wait for your car in the sterile waiting room, get yourself down to the Rising Cafe, where you can get yourself an excellent coffee and breakfast roll, and the time will fly by! Highly recommended ..

This was a fab place to hang out and eat while my windscreen was being replaced. Food was great, staff were wonderful, and my peppermint tea was served in the most beautiful little tea pot and cup. Would highly recommend.

10/10 what an amazing place. I went for the club sandwich chicken mayo. I didn't read that it comes with salad and fries... Meaning my eyes were bigger than my belly. It was faultless. The staff were fabulous and everywhere was super clean. 100% coming back here! The English breakfast was quite average. Bacon too salty, sausage with a strange consistency. On the plus side, the decor and waiting time. Prices moderate. We came here because of the nearby accommodation.

It has no buisness being called a cafe. Walked in to get a sandwich, it was clear that working men were not welcome. It is not a cafe.

Arguably the best Cafe I've been to so far. I've been cafe-hopping in London and Birmingham and this Rising Cafe is easily number one on my list and the Casablanca poster is the icing on the cake. Good service for GF and vegans too

What a gem! I stumbled across the rising cafe yesterday while looking for a parking spot. Popped in to find a really friendly and relaxed cafe, where I ended up working for several hours, enjoyed a lovely breakfast and several drinks. The added bonus is the street parking nearby is currently free (Aug 2023) which was a bonus!!

Rising Cafe was a wonderful find when we were walking the Birmingham canals,being close to one of the junctions. It's a shining star, yet surrounded by commercial premises. We had excellent Thai Green chicken soup, tasty tray bakes good coffee. All first class, in very well appointed premises and very reasonably priced.

Quiet, tucked away cafe with wholesome servings, good coffee and great ambience. Food could do with some more flavour but great overall. Venue also supports Betel charity if you needed another reason to visit.

Visited for the first time this week, following the Rising Cafe catering a work event; highly recommend. Visiting the cafe did not disappoint - great food, lovely atmosphere and perfect vanilla iced latte.

We have used Rising Cafe for our catering services for large meetings since it has opened and the food has always been amazing and loved by all. We recently held a meeting at the cafe, the service matched the standard of food and we had lots of variety to choose from. We would highly recommend the Rising Cafe for any of your catering needs, or for some breakfast/lunch if you are in the area.

What a find, I was having my rear screen fixed on my car at auto glass up the road and had to wait so I walked the 50yrds to the Rising cafe. What a great little cafe, well it’s more than a cafe it’s a charity run business that does great work for the rehabilitation of people that have fallen on hard times and fallen out of the system. The place is immaculate in presentation and the food is outstanding, if this cafe was in the centre of Birmingham you would be lucky to get a seat in a sunny day. Sitting out side in the sun was fantastic I had a sausage and bacon sandwich and a coffee followed by 2 x cokes in the 2 hours I spent there waiting for car repair. I chatted with the workers their who will live to tell you about the good work the cafe and the charity have done for them and helped them get their lives back on track a truly wonderful place. I highly recommend this cafe for its location people and food, if visiting Birmingham drop in for breakfast and leave your car in the street and walk into Birmingham the cost of breakfast would cover your days parking fee in a city center car park and you will also be doing some good for the charity. The next time I visit Brum and it sunny I will definitely be parking up in Chester street for breakfast at the rising cafe and walking into Birmingham. 100% highly recommend this place.

Always a great place. The staff are amazing. So friendly, helpful and professional. The food is of good quality and reasonably priced. I go here at least 4/6 maybe more times a month. Excellent as a meeting venue. 11/10.

On the off chance of looking for a brew, we stumbled across this gem of a Cafe. We both had the vegetarian breakfast with fried egg, it was delicious and my wife left some (I helped of course 🤣). If you’re in the area, you must come to this place. Chesterfield sofa’s, plenty of tables and chairs. The staff are kind and welcoming and serve to the table. Love it!

We have dined in this cafe on many of occasion and each time the service has been fabulous and the food is delicious! I love the quirky tea pots and tea cups, absolute bonus. My favourite dish is the Best of British toastie!!! But everything I have eaten has been exceptional and the portions are very big (don’t worry if you can’t finish your meal, the wonderful staff can provide take out boxes). The cakes, OMG where do I start? Wide range and all scrumptious!!! Highly recommend visiting and I will 100% be returning on a regular.

Came to Rising Cafe this morning whilst my car was getting fixed at the local Autoglass and my experience at the Cafe makes me wish my car needed fixing more often! Delicious vegan breakfast, comfortable atmosphere, beautiful decor, perfect ambient music, plenty of plugs/charging points and well designed tables & chairs to work from. Thanks team!

Attended an evening event for Black women with the Lounge. Caribbean food served was curry chicken, jerk chicken, and rice peas. I was pleasantly surprised tasted great. The drinks options need increasing, and dessert options were lovely. Staff were friendly. Lovely space.
