Glad we called in for lunch ... though the cakes look amazing too. I had some yummy homemade soup, my partner had a great looking salad. Friendly casual atmosphere.

Great cafe that does vegan, vegetarian and gluten free stuff. Had the best mushroom burger I’ve ever had and friendly staff as well.

Came here with family and had a baguette and toasted sandwiches. Really tasty bread with delicious fillings. Was too full to try the cakes but they looked lovely. Great for vegetarians and lots of vegan and gluten free options too

The Cakery created a beautiful and delicious cake for our daughters’ joint thanksgiving ceremony. It was at the last minute too and they were very accommodating

Pedí un pastel de chocolate vegano para mis hijos 18 cumpleaños; todo tratado en línea que fue genial para mí. El pastel era perfecto y justo lo que queríamos; encantadora sensación en la cafetería cuando coleccioné. En general, un gran servicio y voy a utilizar de nuevo.

Solo una nota para agradecer a todo el equipo por una hermosa fiesta. Y gracias a Ella, por complacer con una sonrisa 13 en lugar del máximo de 12 niños emocionados y felices de 8 años y por atender todas las necesidades y alergias, gluten, lácteos y huevos:) Disfrutaron haciendo pizzas, decorando pastelitos y los juegos. Tengo que añadir que los padres apreciamos su excelente café y la tarta de cumpleaños. No podía creer que fuera vegano. Simplemente divino. Me gustaría mencionar al personal que hizo que todo pareciera sin esfuerzo. Gracias a todos por poner todo su corazón en ello y por su paciencia, dedicación y buen humor contagioso a pesar de la fiesta ruidosa:).

Se detuvo para tomar una taza de té y una rebanada de pastel. La elección fue un poco limitada. El sabroso menú no era de mi agrado. Tuve el final quemado de un pastel de limón con una reducción probablemente hubiera sido bueno si hubiera sido lo suficientemente temprano para obtener una rebanada adecuada.

The Cakery is a rare find - the most wonderful array of delicious hand baked cakes I have ever seen - alongside wonderful and varied home-made breads which the owner makes daily on the premises. Hearty, tasty and healthy lunches at great prices and a relaxed and warm welcome make this by far the best cafe in Bath and beyond! I cannot recommend this highly enough.

I go regulalry to buy a baguette for my lunch. It is the tastiest bread I've eaten and is brilliant value of money. Thank you

This cafe is local to me and I’ve been In a few times. The cakes are beautiful to look at as well as tasting great! In particular the brownies!! They offer a selection of gluten free and vegan cakes too, although I have found these to be a little dry on occasion. If you can then stick to the ‘regular’ cakes. The coffee here is pretty good too, and the cafe has a nice cosy laid back atmosphere. Worth a visit!

.... with the most delicious banana & chocolate cake! I had to check twice that it was GF & Vegan as I usually find GF cakes quite dry- was sooo good I was sad when I finished it.

Located right in town, this place is a little gem. Wonderful place for afte4noon tea, or to get a treat to eat later on in the day. If I could move one patisserie over the pond to my home town, it would be The Cakery. Four months back in the US and we’re still talking about it.

I really like going here on my lunch break. The staff are lovely and very accommodating to peoples dietary needs. The coffee is so nice. I always have 2 poached eggs with avocado on toast and it is always cooked to perfection.

As regular visitors of The Cakery, we asked Ella to create two cakes for our son’s christening. The vegan cake was delicious and disappeared instantly, and the carrot cake was epic! We had so many compliments - someone even described it as the best they’d ever eaten, and I agree. Thank you Ella and The Cakery, you made our day.

What a gem of a place . Everything is home made to such a high standard. Our food was delightful . We brought some home made bread to take home with us so pleased we did it’s delicious .

We popped in today on my Hen-do for tea and cake. The ladies were very welcoming and we decided to have one of each cake to all share between us along with tea and coffee. We were served very quickly and had a great time. The cakes were delicious and there was a great selection of flavours and vegan/gluten free options as well. Lovely little find, thank you for being so hospitable to our little party.

The Cakery offers some incredible Cakes as well as a range of baked goods such as cookies and brownies all of which can be made to suit my complicated vegan and gluten free diet!!! It’s a perfect place which caters for everyone from fry up breakfasts including vegan/vegetarian options and home made gluten free bread to gooey caramel brownies which are my boyfriends new found favourite! This place is ideal for meeting up with friends or settling down and finishing some work as it offers WIFI!

I was really excited to spot this place around the corner from my hotel when visiting Bath. There were some very flashy looking cakes, deep and luxuriously decorated with all types of goodies, but I settled for a coffee and a toffee and apple cake.

The staff are all wonderful, so friendly and always willing to go that extra step. The food is amazing and can cater to almost any diet if you ask. The cakes are unbelievable. Ella made the gluten free/vegan cake for our wedding and people raved about it! Such quality from wonderful people. Worth a stop over in Widcombe!

We have been staying in Bath for a week, and we enjoy morning coffee, and breakfast at The Cakery every morning. The staff are friendly, and attentive. The espresso is excellent-better than any other coffee we have had in Bath. The baked goods are delicious, and we enjoy the outdoor seating for afternoon coffee and cake.

I've now been to The Cakery a handful of times and it is becoming one of my favourite spots in Bath. This quaint little cafe serves a great collection of food and drinks, the staff are always so welcoming and to top it off the music is cracking - Also I'm pretty sure it's dog-friendly.

Nice people and good strong pot of tea. Wet magazines on shelf due to water dispenser dripping on them. Rocky table so juice spilt. Food not on display apart from limited choice of cake mostly chocolate so disappointing. Limited seating so cannot linger and uncomfortable chairs.

Today was our first visit to The Cakery and we were not disappointed. Although it was rather late in the afternoon, there was still a choice of cake to be consumed. I had the berry and vanilla cake which was delicious and my other half had a very zingy lemon drizzle cake. Coffee was good, the staff were very friendly and chatty, and the pièce de la résistance was that we got to meet Otis the puppy pug who, at four months old, is just learning the business. We would thoroughly recommend The Cakery as a great destination for cake and coffee in Bath: it’s only a short walk from the city centre, and very worth it. We will definitely be back!

Dropped in for free-range eggs on avocado-topped, freshly baked, toasted spelt bread, accompanied by quite simply the best cup of coffee EVER. Awesome home made cakes, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere in this kid friendly, dogs welcome eatery. It doesn't come any better than this!

This was the first time I have tried this recent addition to the selection of eateries in Widcombe. It is primarily a coffee shop selling a great selection of teas, coffees, cakes and breads. I went in the morning and ordered a lovely breakfast consisting of two poached eggs on toast and a flat white. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The interior is nicely decorated and inviting. My food arrived and it was hot and perfectly cooked. The free range eggs were extremely tasty and the artisan wholemeal toasted bread was really delicious. Hope that The Cakery is the massive success it deserves to be for Ella and the rest of the staff.

I just popped in to ask about their reusable cups but the staff were so friendly and the cakes looked so delicious that I popped back in an hour later for some delicious sencha. It's a really lovely little space, with a great range of cakes and some nice tea selection. I love that they use paper straws and easily compostable takeaway cups. I'll be recommending this to me friends and heading back next time I'm south of the river. Thanks.

My new favourite stop off for coffee in Bath. Everything you'd get at a chain store and more; with a comfortable and modern interior, friendly service, homemade cakes and bread and great coffee blends, the Cakery has everything you could need for a catch-up, business meeting or just to grab a coffee on the go!

Lovely bakery with all cakes home-made every day! Cakes were absolutely delicious and had an excellent choice ranging from the standard classics to some festive flavours (we had the apple and caramel and the baileys chocolate cake both of which were incredible!).

What an absolute find. Friendly staff, and the most amazing Flat white coffee - best in town. I will definitely be going back to try some homemade cakes. Lovely home baked bread too. Would highly recommend.

My first visit to the cakery will be the first of many. The coffee and cake were delicious in equal measure. I was amazed to find that the bread and cake were all baked on premises. I found the staff very friendly and keen to please and look forward to another cake in the near future.
