Just had a Sunday roast today at The Boot .lt was delicious.Great atmosphere. Lovely Staff.Wonderful Landlord.

arrived to go and get a drink and the stock was just disappointing.. I asked for 5 drinks all 5 out of stock. Didn’t even have plant based milk for my lactose intolerance. Ordered two items and promised a subsitute for my vanilla cold foam. I was then sent only one of my drinks and a beverage that was not suitable for my dietary requirements the staff were not friendly about the situation and I’m highly disappointed. The drink was disappointing what a waste of £11 on drinks that were not provided. Shocking.. get it together

Beautiful setting, really nice welcoming and friendly staff in both shop and cafe. Afternoon tea including one that was gluten free. The food was lovely. Will be back again to see the walled garden when they are in full bloom. Well worth a visit.

Un recorrido muy interesante e interactivo por la historia y la elaboración del chocolate. Sarah era un excelente anfitrión que era extremadamente conocedor y obviamente orgulloso de su industria.

La comida era sin duda buena, no impresionante. El personal era muy agradable y amable! El ambiente es bastante agradable - un pequeño restaurante con un toque íntimo.

Excellent approach to serving gluten free customers. So refreshing! On entry I said I was coeliac and the lady said they could cater for me. I asked if they had a separate toaster for gluten free and she said yes. Server had good knowledge of items on the menu. Happy to do me what I wanted even though not on the menu. Brought my food separately from my other friends but delivered in a very reassuring way. Food was also very tasty!

Bought a simple chocolate donut from them. It was stale, hard and chewy.

Just along the Wicor shore at Portchester the Salt Cafe is a nice pitstop for drinks or even brunch/lunch if you fancy food. Failing that there is always a nice range of cakes. Good to sit outside in the sunshine or there are plenty of tables inside.

The Ark is OK if you just want a drink, but it seems to have lost its atmosphere. It used to have comfy seating, it used to have small tables to put your drink on with a few chairs to each table scattered around. Now it looks like a school dining room with dining tables and six chairs per table. Decent selection of drinks though, and it’s probably nicer in the summer months when you can sit outside and watch the world go by. (It does have parking, so that’s an advantage)

Overpriced. Nice environment but messed up our order, over charged us. Wouldn’t give a drink for their mistake. Shame as good pub but arsey manager.

Been before & had a lovely time including a bite to eat in the cafe. Checked website yesterday to make sure it would be open today with it being Easter weekend. Despite stating open Sunday 10 til 4 we arrived at 12.30 to find it closed. 34 mile round trip for nothing. Disappointed!

Lunch was very tasty had pie and mash was excellent, staff were welcoming and has a overall amazing experience will come back

Always friendly staff, helpful and informative of special coffee blends Dog friendly and they do sell doggie treats, plenty of water bowls inside and out Seating outside and great access for wheelchair users Great selection of cakes and savouries to choose from Also, a selection of books and games if it's a miserable day outside Comfy sofas, a good place to chill, work on your laptop solo or with friends

Here for our daughters surprise 40th birthday lunch. We had a lovely secluded room - absolutely perfect for 11 of us plus dog! The food we had, and the service from all the staff was fabulous. We couldn’t have asked for better. A big thank you to all the staff for making it such a memorable occasion for us. My steak was perfectly cooked- compliments to the chef. We can’t wait to visit again!
