The coffee is superior to anywhere to be honest, I used to be a Starbucks girlie but have since converted, the coffee is always spot on 10/10, on the whole the staff are lovely, 4 stars for atmosphere purely because the music is usually too loud, I like to hear the person I'm sat talking with eith a little music in the back ground I don't like to be able to hear it so loud it draws my attention and it's never good music either lol. Other than that can't fault it.

Nero was busy today, my latte was delicious and my cake a pistachio mousse cake was nice but I would only rate it 2.5/5 where as my pistachio coffee was a 10/10 easily, as always nice staff, nice atmosphere, clean and tidy.

Ok, coffee shop. A bit busy and noisy though. A few dogs in which continued to bark whilst their owners weren't bothered. I couldn't hear myself think!!

I cannot comment on the food. I only eat what I cook. Lovely atmosphere, warm welcome, the heating is not too overpowering , just right. Busy coffee shop but so far everyone has had a smile on their faces when saying hello. Id recommend 100%

Has to have one of the tastiest coffees that I have ever tasted. I have been to Nero Newquay a few times and had their house coffee. I actually had cream on top, which a first and a bit wierd with the cold cream with the hot coffee but found it nice. I am a fussy coffee drinker I have really good taste buds and this has got to be (without a doubt) the tastiest coffee I have ever tried. Must try some of their food next time I go in. Asked one of the staff a question (to do with my watch) They were very friendly and helpful See you all again!

We loved this place during our days in Newquay. The coffee was very good, also the food. Can recommend the caramel shortbread with a nice coffee. The restrooms are clean for British standards, also there is a good baby changing table. Sometimes the wait at the counter was a bit longer. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.

We got our coffees and sat outside under the shelter. We hadn't even finished our coffees when the shelter was closed back to leave us sitting in the pouring rain!!! How rude. We were soaked along with our coffees.

I’m not the biggest fan of cafe Nero hot chocolates, their coffee is not bad but it’s not my favourite either however I come here based on their staff alone The shop is consistently clean, the staff are always going around tidying up tables, cleaning up after people and restocking keeping the shop looking 5⭐️ They are so welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much to ask and they never make you feel like a burden. These people are MADE for retail!

It was a quiet Sunday afternoon, close to closing, so seating was easy to find, staff were friendly and service was quick and efficient. Coffee was good, well executed barrista skills. Everything you'd expect from a multi outlet business.

We managed to get some window seats, to watch the world go by. Lattes were excellent, but as always the tables could have done with a good clean and one of cups has a chip. Served by a barista who was very cheery, he wasn't over the top and made the service a lot more enjoyable.

Came here quite a few times back in May. Lovely Cafe Nero, can always rely on them to have comfortable booths, tasty coffee and delicious toasties. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Only downside was the wifi and signal wasn't great as I was told it was an old bank so the walls are very thick so this is not their fault. Made it a little hard to do work but the coffee was worth it :) Will defiantly be back next time im in Newquay

Good selection of food, couple of gluten free snacks available i.e. chocolate brownies, raspberry & coconut bars etc although would like to see some GF hot food options! Dog friendly too!

Visited Newquay for the afternoon on Saturday 2nd July. Thought it would be a good idea before the School holidays start. Newquay after that becomes way too busy After a nice walk around decided on a drink at Cafe Nero. Always very impressed with their décor and premium feel over Costa. Had a Frappe Strawberry Milkshake , Hot Chocolate. Not too long before drinks were ready. Staff. We're efficient and friendly. Decided to drink in and watch the world go by outside. Really enjoyed the drinks and would happily return. Would definitely recommend 👍

Great branch. Really lovely staff. The manager is particularly nice and friendly. Clean premises and toilets. Great tasting latte and the Almond croissant is yummy.

Just wanted a coffee and cake, was served and then sat down. Noticed that our two cake forks were dirty. Went back to the counter and asked for new which were also dirty. The Barista was busy serving so helped myself to new forks, they were all dirty, the Barista started to get stroppy. Not good enough! Basic hygene was poor! Good bye Cafe Nero, never again!

Lovely coffee shop, I meet up with a friend every week and we always use this coffee shop. It's big and airy. It also allows dogs, in fact they supply treats for your furry friend 😊

I recently visited Caffe Nero in Newquay - The relatively new manager and his staff were really very friendly and welcomed dogs with open arms and a biscuit which was a lovely touch :) Everywhere including the toilets were clean and tidy. I will 100% be visiting again when next in Newquay

Coffee okay, not the best, but not the worse in Newquay, staff are friendly and polite.

I entered the cafe around 2pm with my daughter & her child in a pushchair it wasn’t particularly busy but the right hand side seating was all cordoned off and inaccessible & a high chair stood in the middle of all of the furniture piled there. The remaining seating was full (there wasn’t much). I picked up some drinks & food & and edged along the counter. I spoke to an auburn haired & bearded assistant and asked if we could sit in the cordoned off area. Without looking at me he said loudly nah sorry darling that area is closed, i was taken aback at this & questioned the use of the word darling? He said oh does that offend you? It’s a habit I’ve picked up from someone I work with. I said you ought to be careful with that. I then said all of the other seats are full, and again without looking at me quite loudly said well then there are no more seats left then. At 2pm? I have been into many cafe neros & have never seen this practice before? I have seen this practice in other restaurants closing down sections towards the end of the day but only when other seats are plentiful & often quickly re-opened when other customers came in. But not at 2pm? Furthermore I found the assistants manner offensive, and clearly he missed the customer service module of his training, & I would suggest he would be better placed in a greasy spoon flipping burgers than serving food & drinks at premium pricing in a Cafe Nero. I didn’t buy anything that day or the rest of the week I placed the items on the counter and left.

Fifty mat inside door...A good start! Dog hair everywhere, along with a dog actually sitting on the chair. Manky dirty floor, kept my bag on my lap!! The service...Well not sure how to put this....maybe...if they don't like their jobs....work elsewhere. That's being polite!! The toilets, a health hazard, maybe full PPE would be appropriate! Don't forget your own toilet roll, as there isn't any!! All in all a dirty run down unloved Nero...with staff who couldn't give a ****.

Ok. Staff just started picking random orders from the queue. Didn't take long for mine, but at 4pm on Sunday sounded like they just wanted to finish the shift.

Very bad experience. Not enough space to sit outside considering there was two families having something to eat and drink. Asked politely for an extra chair staff refused even though I explained I have a disable child having to share a chair with her sister. Food not great quality plus toilets weren't available. Not eating or drinking at Nero's in Newquay

Called for a coffee on Sunday 15th August only to find for the third day running the store wasn’t open on time and we were totally ignored by a member of staff who was putting out chairs at snail pace with a grubby hand rolled cigarette hanging out of his mouth……..absolutely shocking and disgusting!! We used to use this coffee shop every morning and have spent a fortune over the years but this is not the first time these two members of staff (the one mentioned above and the one with ginger hair) have been very rude, unprofessional, and totally lacking in customer service skills. Since Rob left I think you should rename this coffee shop Caffe Zero…….needless to say we are now spending our hard earned money elsewhere. P.S. the toilets are absolutely filthy!!!!!!

Drinks were spot on, nice to come across a cafe that can do a proper iced cappuccino, only complaint is the toilet was horrendous, whoever left it in the mess it was in needs to see a doctor. And it wasn't the staffs fault as the toilet had been checked 20 mins before.

Always love this chain. As a vegan that doesn't have caffeine, their decaf is delicious and they're always clued up on what I can and can't have unlike some if the other chains!

Visited Newquay for the morning, I enjoy Neros coffee and it’s pretty standard across the brand and usually get great service in Truro/Falmouth so in I went. Cafe was empty and there were two servers behind the counter so I headed towards the toilet with my son to which I was addressed can I help you sir. I said no thanks we need to use the toilet and continued to head for the toilet, to which I was told the toilet is for paying customers only. I stated once I’d been to the toilet I was coming for a drink but clearly this wasn’t enough (unlike it would have been in any other cafe Nero branch) I was accosted further gave a clear explanation and the accusations started flying I informed them that the plan was to use the toilet and come get my coffee *I refuse to ask permission to wash my hands *the first guy went quiet and as my son let me know stood there with a stupid smirk on his face and the second guy jumped into a screaming tirade of how dare I talk to them like that whilst swearing and coming round the counter to confront me (ironic but I didn’t bother to point this out) I asked him if he spoke to customers like that in front of the manager to which he replied he was the manager 😂shift leader maybe but he couldn’t even manage his own emotions so I severely doubt it. he said let’s go talk out side to which I was well up for even though the cafe was empty and by the door he asked me to get out genuinely one of the more comical interactions I’ve had. He had no issues swearing at a customer and infront of a 10 year old he was really accusatory and aggressive. NB. if your trying to find this place it’s easy as it looks abandoned from the outside. Looking at the other negetive reviews this behaviour is common and accepted

14 Days in Newquay, Treat myself to a coffee a day, Café Nero is always my preferred choice, there is something about there blend of coffee a little smokey and smooth, Coffee perfect and 99% of the staff great, and especially the first week there, great person motivating the younger staff. I understand Covid 1st hand and how difficult it is, However one member of the staff the Ginger One thinks he is a policeman, the way he spoke to not only me but other tourists was incredible, This person also told me he was the manager yeh right LIAR, maybe shift supervisor, well café nero he told me three times to not come in and spend my money elsewhere, Guess what I did, The Costa team up the road are welcoming and extremely friendly and really care about there customers. You have a beautiful large pine table in there, and currently that would seat 8-12 I suggest, with current guidelines rip it out and replace it with smaller tables, It is not so much what you say but the way you say it. I suggest the other reviews of poor service revolve around the ginger policeman, To the rest of the team I felel sorry for you having this work colleague as he really lets your team down. If you are local then no issue with the ginger smoke at the front door do what you like,

The staff are rather friendly, however the chairs and tables being so close together..when I was last in there before the lockdown, make you feel claustrophobic. The food and drinks are delicious, however slightly overpriced.
