Tuvimos una función de personal en este lugar el 18 de octubre, de principio a fin fue excelente! La comida era fresca y abundante, los precios eran razonables y el personal fue más allá. Todos nuestros colegas estuvieron de acuerdo en que fue una noche encantadora y sin duda volveremos para las funciones del personal en el futuro. Gracias Fox Under The Hill equipo!

Vinimos aquí para una cena de domingo. Bolsa mixta y casi nos fuimos ya que aunque reservamos nos avisaron que no iban a tomar pedidos de comida durante media hora debido a una gran fiesta (a pesar de que habíamos reservado previamente para la comida). Sin embargo, aparte de eso, el personal era muy amable, y la comida era excelente relación calidad-precio y muy sabrosa, en particular Turquía. Así que en equilibrio, vale la pena el viaje y es probable que regrese.

El ambiente es genial, Sian el asistente del gerente es amable y servicial! Servicio rápido! Ahora se han convertido en un habitual de este lugar y seguirán volviendo

Encontramos este pub más o menos por accidente, solo buscando un pub con aparcamiento cerca de Shooters Hill. Resultó ser una muy buena elección, con personal muy amable - gracias, Andre - buena comida, muy razonable precio y un montón de asientos. ¡Volveremos!

Waited a long time for food did not have what I wanted from the menu lots of things missing I ordered rump stake plenty of gristle no garlic bread so was served more chips with my steak and chips mo serviettes at table had to remind waitress for knives and forks etc etc

On behalf of my mother and her partner. They went thinking it was still the Hungry Horse and was more than pleased with the new refurbishment and takeover. Food was lovely, especially the gammon and was so reasonably priced. Staff could not do enough to make it a pleasant experience overall and they shall be going back sooner rather than later. This pub has just been refurbished and it’s beautiful. Love the decor and staff are lovely- nice food and disabled toilets and TV’s everywhere even the little garden with heaters

Brilliant. We stopped coming here. This new management team is fantastic warm friendly atmosphere we had a lovely family meal. Can not fault it will be back with the family very soon. New manager keep up the good work

Terrible service, the place is a state. And as soon as you question the hung over manager, you're deemed rude and staff stop accommodating you. Dirty toilets, dirty baby change, dirty floor, dirty attitude. Mens toilet blocked by kids toy machines, long wait for food, and the disrespect as a PAYING PATRON is beyond compare.

AVOID!!!! Used to use this place most weekends the new Manager has an absolute attitude I don't even think the staff like working for her, she turns us hungover for a PM shift and is happy to admit this too. Bin her off before I return

Waited over an hour for our food only to be served an incorrect order. Was told the kitchen was 'having a nightmare with the chef' and this would be rectified asap. Was then served the right order which was probably one of the worse pub roasts ever. The beef was like old leather and just generally quite disgusting. Was told we we get a refund on the order but this did not happen. Everyone was complaining around us also so we weren't the only table. My 7 year old son actually threw up later that evening which we are suspicious about.... Don't waist your money!

The Only Fault I Would Bring Up Is That No Other GreenKing Pubs Have Managers Like Her - She Really Did Go Above And Beyond For Us!!

I’m writing this review on behalf of my neighbour Brad who uses this pub every day. He says the food is lovely and the staff are polite and welcoming. I have got to know them pretty well and they spare the time to talk and have a joke. Top work guys keep it up.

The place is very well situation with its own car park. (don't forget to register your car at the bar). We were met at the door by Sian who was very pleasant and easy to chat with. All was booked in advance and she had everything prepared. Food was enjoyable and service very good especially considering it was hectic due to it being 'Mother's Day.' There was quite a few of us in the group, about 9 and we were taken care of very well. Definitely be visiting the place again.

Nice staff beer prices good but the building needs a mayor renovation.Its not had a lick of paint in years and years.The loos are awful outdated and dirty.The garden tables are filthy and should be thrown in the skip.Food wise ok menu dated and ok if you like fried food but price is fair and ok for a family.Would i go back yes for the beer and staff but not for the food or the surroundings better pubs in Blackheath.

Absolutely atrocious. Long wait 50 minutes. Food cold sent back to be microwaved, men’s toilet out of order as it was on the last visit a few months ago. It’s the second visit and to be honest only went as a relation had booked it, it was everything I expected after the last visit, no improvements whatsoever ever, well the family know what to expect now, and none will visit the abhorrent hole again.

I visited this evening with my friends, and this pub is so lovely. The food is delicious and the drinks are amazing, especially the cocktails. Staff attitude is spot on and so attentive to their customers. Well done all ❤️

Cheap as chips, where else can you feed 3 adults fish & chips plus puddings plus soft drinks for £30 it’s ridiculous. Good quality food, good size plates, plus lovely kind service is thrown in for free. The place is in desperate need of a lick of paint but ain’t we all😂😂 who cares as long as it’s clean. There is a special offer everyday. Plus a new £5 Mon-fri menu. You can’t go wrong. Brilliant for everyone families couples parties. Highly recommended. 5 stars 🌟

Went for Christmas dinner, it was delicious. The staff were excellent, would recommend, and will definitely be returning. Could do with a make over though as looks very tired.

Just had a Xmas dinner here with the family. Worst food I’ve eaten in my life. Freezing cold roast dinner. The plates was 100s hotter than the food. parsnip like bullets, frozen tasteless roast potatoes and dessert was frozen. I’ve been in a lot of pubs and this is definitely the worst, the food the beer and the staff are disgusting need a qualified chef not bar staff filling in because the chef hasn’t turned up The blonde assistant manager is rude and has no idea how to run a pub, and when I tried to speak to the manager she hid in the kitchen. I’ve used this pub for over 20 years and never seen it run down and poorly managed such potential if it hard a good manager. Please green king sort this pub out for the locals

Half the items were off the menu as shortage of some items and can’t serve the meal if is missing a tomatoe green kings policy I was told, can’t swap it either to say some mushrooms every item I wanted not available big combo mix it up crown of burgers wrap steak sizzler etc etc been coming here for years and usually it’s good but very disappointing this time and staff member rude time to find somewhere else for are family birthday meals

1st time visiting here for our friend's 84th birthday meal, and I must say, the staff are so polite and the food was extremely tasty. The prices for the drinks and fiid are exceptional reasonable. Kelly, the manager made us welcomed and interacted with us and also contributed to a candle brownie ;-) The 4 stars is and only because of the lack of parking. Definitely will come here again. So in spite of the many 1 star reviews we decided to eat at this restaurant tonight as the more recent reviews were more positive than 2/3 months ago. The young lad that was waiting on our table was very polite and appeared to have very good customer service skills. The chef and manager however DO NOT. I ordered a sizzling steak and my boyfriend ordered a burger. His meal was reasonable for the price, he enjoyed it. However, when I looked at my steak I was rather confused since i’ve never seen such a large steak as it looked really fat, to find it was folded in half. I unfolded the steak and then cut into it and blood poured out of it. When asked for how I liked it cooked I asked for medium/well since I don’t like blood. Seeing my food covered in blood made me feel really sick and my boyfriend asked for it to be cooked a bit longer. 20 minutes had gone by and he asked where my food was. The chef then responded rudely saying “your steak was sent out the way you asked, but it’s not to your liking, so i’m cooking it now” so he came back and sat down and we decided to just get the bill and ask for the steak to be taken off to which they did. We then got up to pay and my boyfriend gave the woman at the till, who i would presume was the manager, some reasonable criticism to which she responded rudely by shouting across the bar that we should not come back to her pub, to which i said “don’t worry we won’t” and then she responded by saying “don’t worry we have your money now” and then laughed. This shocked me and I looked around at the other customers in the restaurant who looked shocked by the managers response.If you’re looking at the reviews to come to this pub, I strongly suggest you DO NOT waste your time or money in this restaurant. The manager and the chef are extremely rude, the manager has made it quite clear that all she cares for is the money, and has showed little to no customer service skills. I gave this pub a chance, and shockingly trip advisors reviews were correct. I will not be attending this restaurant again.

Awful service , I ordered a drinkAnd food at the same time the drinks were just simple bottles of beer , service was so bad that I received my half cooked chicken quicker than I did a beer , restaurant was less than half full and staff seem to just gaup at you like your an animal in the zoo. El servicio fue excelente, olvidé tomar fotos de los platos principales, teníamos pescado y papas fritas y pollo con papas fritas con salsa de curry y arroz, postres, tuvimos una manzana arrugada y tuve algo de candymania que insinuó que debería haberlo compartido ya que venía con varias cucharas. ? acaba de mudarse a la vuelta de la esquina, así que definitivamente volveremos.

The food is ok once you get it. It took over an hour for me to get half a roast chicken and chips. The dessert was missing half of the crumble from the Apple crumble.

This is our favourite place to come nothing compares to it the right amount of service vs left alone

This pub is pretty cool & never gets crazy busy which is a plus. Been here the last 2 days for the footy. They have big projector screens. Also to add you can order your food to the table via the app which is convenient.The decor is a bit shabby though

I've been trying to catch flies since my friend and I got into the pub. At one point in my third drink a fly fell in my cider. I have showed it to the manager but he said he couldn't do anything about it, because he can't control all the flies. I didn't ask for much, just to give me half pint, as I do know that there shouldn't be flies in a pub or any place where you serve drinks and food. But the manager refused. It was the first time I went there and I don't think I'll be back there.

Nothing more or less than “will do” Food arrived cold, hard and inedible, drinks watered down too much and the waiting times was too much for autistic children and an autistic adult. Not disability friendly.

Food and drinks are good value especially the Saturday big plate promotion how can you go wrong £7 for steak or mixed grill. Decent portions and get what you pay for. Reasonable drinks range and again good value. Not sure if short staffed but only let down was the wait but we were told an hour and it came few minutes after the hour. Fair enough really quicker service might get the extra star

Visité este pub / restaurante Hungry Horse para el almuerzo. No me puedo quejar de la calidad de la comida, el precio y el servicio, pero necesita urgentemente limpieza! A su llegada, el aparcamiento está sucio, basura por todas partes y la entrada está cubierta de colillas y basura. Sentado dentro, las ventanas también están sucias! Las primeras impresiones lo son todo y esto hace que todo el lugar baje, por lo tanto, solo 2 estrellas.

Came here this evening and ordered was tokd wait was 30 to 40 minutes . Over a hour later was served with mushy obvisouly microwaved curry and a burnt microwaved popadum. After one mouthful I never touched anymore. This place use to be reasonably priced and hood bit after today I will never eat here again. Am truly disgusted.

A great pub for food. The menu is huge and there is something for everyone. The value for money is amazing.

Could not eat the food, regular visitor, but this was the worse food we have ever been given. It was absolutely terrible, in edible, and yes we did say so, at the time of the visit.

We visited with a family of 11 for a pre-booked and payed for boxing day meal. We arrived and they had put us on two separate tables in which we had to push together. Our meal was for 2.30 it was 3.15 before we even got out starters. We had to go to the bar in orders to get any service of food. After starters had finished we then had to go to the bar again to ask for our main meals and for our tables to be cleaned. Although the food was good the pie was so hard you couldn't even cut through it. They had run out of ice-cream and the deserts which was pre ordered in November had not been available and had to be changed. Considering it had been a month you should of known what food and how much of it was needed so there is no excuse. It was 3 and half hours before we got a desert. The manager has a terrible attitude. Couldn't really care about our booking even when serving a drink he slammed the glass down on the bar. Absolutely disgraceful attitude from someone who is meant to manage the place. The only staff member that bothered was a man called Rudy. He pretty much was left to run the place alone as well as clear the table and serve the bar. The poor man was rushed off his feet and the manager wasn't really to bothered. For a boxing day meal is was terrible ,understafed and awful attitudes.

Told it was a half hour wait, turned out to be 1 and half hours, and still waiting. Taking customers money, but not telling them about the wait. This used to be good place to have a meal, not any more.
