Absolutely fantastic experience. Delicious food, perfect vibe, and Jordan was the absolute best server - so attentive and helpful and nice. Thank you for a great time!

I don’t normally leave bad reviews but I can’t let this place get away with it. So to start off, the service was so so poor. Had me waiting 20mins before I could even see a menu and when I did eventually see it I was greeted with some stink ‘attitude’ by the worker. Then the food took a bit of a while to come and when it did, the portion sizes were so small I felt like I was eating a kids’ meal. The burger was so bland with no flavour and the chips were undercooked. When I informed them of this they were rude and basically just ignored me. And they had the audacity to charge 12.5% service fee?! WHAT SERVICE?! The best thing about this place is the views outside so if you plan on going inside, don’t. 👍🏾

The personal was really unprofessional. Since, we walk in the people ignore us no hello nothing. We ask if they still serve Sunday roast and if we could eat outside. We had to wait for meniu brought. After we ordered food I ask if we could get a drink list. We received our food before our drink list no cutlery nothing. Finally, I got my glass of wine. However, they haven't had a beer for my partner. They apologise and offer other option. Eventually, the waiter come back telling they do have that beer either. We ask for another beer. The drink never arrived. However, it was on the bill both of them. I have to say it is a first time I ask to remove service charge in very long time.

I came with my husband on a date and we had the bottomless brunch. Georgia liaised with us via email beforehand & was super helpful & we were served by Jordan on the day. The food was fantastic, the service was excellent. We sat upstairs, the views were stunning & there was music playing in the background which was great & not too loud where you could still talk. We will definitely be back, thank you for an amazing experience ❤️

This restaurant occupies a prime site along the south side of the Thames with great views of Canary Wharf and beyond. A nice setting, internal decor and ambience. We were fortunately seated in the corner of the first floor with great views. One of our partners is gluten-free and dairy-free and also a pescatarian. They did their best to accommodate this - shout out to the on-duty manager on Sunday - but their allergen sheet wasn't for their Sunday menu or up to date. This was disappointing and there were a lot of dishes that weren't suitable. The food was tasty and reasonably portioned, but I didn't get the Yorkshire pudding promised. Room for improvement.

We had a really tasty Sunday roast here, with a lovely view of the river. Due to some unexpected transport problems, we were going to be a little late arriving, but called an hour before our booking to let The Oystercatcher know and it was handled very pleasantly with no stress. The welcome by the staff when we arrived felt so genuine and inviting, and the waiting staff who served our table were so accommodating and treated my young nephew with a huge amount of cheerful respect and interest. We had such a lovely time that we'll be sure to come again - especially when friends or family visit London.

Lovely valentines night, Jordan was a great waitress who went out her way to look after us.

Ate on Sunday, sat upstairs, our server Beth was lovely and friendly, food was adequate for what I paid and was given extra gravy upon request. Would definitely come again x

Nos sentamos durante 15 minutos antes de obtener algunos menús y solo después de pedir nuestra comida pudimos ver la tarjeta de bebidas. También terminamos siendo atendidos por 4 personas diferentes. ¡Y luego agregaron una tarifa de servicio del 12, 5 %! Muy decepcionado. (

The food was fine but the meals were tiny. The only order that had a bit of wow effect was the cottage pie. The short-rib burger was plain with no dipping for the chips and the fish and chips had bones in it. To top it off the service was practically non-existent. We sat for 15 minutes before getting some menus and only after we ordered our food we got to see the drinks card. We also ended up being served by 4 different people. AND they then added a 12,5% service fee! Very disappointed. :(

Incredible time here. Beautiful riverside views but the service from Jordan and Isaac was next level. Never lacked for anything at all during my visit and great range of drinks too. Food menu right upto scratch and decent value for the location.

Came here for a quiet dinner on New Year’s Eve and it was PERFECT. Great location, lovely food and views of the river. Staff were friendly. Had an impressive range of mocktails and they were very very good. I’d definitely come again.

We had lunch for 9 people and it was excellent. The staff were very attentive, the river view was spectacular and the fish and chips was to die for. Everyone had a great time and I would like to expecially mention Georgia who helped immensely with the reservation. Would definitely recommend

Went here for Christmas dinner service, the food to be truly honest was quite bland and actually cold, for the price of £100 pp, I was expecting a much better taste and at least a drink included too but it wasn't. Probably won't come back but I will honestly say the staff saved the evening with their charisma and awesome personalities!! Shout-out to LJ, Shay and Sabrina! Really lovely service and made us feel very welcome

This restaurant relies on its scenic location too much, there needs to be far more effort into their menu and especially their service. Service, for my experience anyway, was sub par, and the food was extremely average. I'll go for a beer again but that's about it.

Popped in here on a Friday lunchtime for some food and a couple of pints. Food was great we were very well looked after by Samuel, who was attentive and efficient. It was pretty cold in there and with only a few patrons the atmosphere seemed flat. No music that I recall. Very limited selection of Ales, nothing on draft.

We were seated upstairs and the atmosphere (and view of the river) was great. The food was good, but the service was very poor. Took my young family but could hear swearing behind the bar. Yorkshire pudding not served with enough gravy and none came despite asking for some more.

The Sunday Roast was delicious as the beef was beautifully cook! Also, the cauliflower cheese was outstanding. Lovely place and very good price for what you get, however the service was a but slow!

Terrible oysters not prepared properly. 3 different staff for 1 table. Soft crab gone off. There’s more but I can’t even be asked. Never again. Bunch of students I. Pub like environment. A disgrace honestly. Orders came out wrong. Chef punching his palm of hand before correcting outside of kitchen door. Which we blatantly saw. Dirty glass given. Oysters not prepared. Bits of shell inside and gone off crab. It was awful

I came in for brunch with the girls and everything was immaculate. The food, service and atmosphere. A special shout out to the young black lady in the blouse she was so accommodating to my fussy eating. I would highly recommend !

The people working there are exquisite! Always super polite, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very relaxed, good wine, beer and food choices.

Very average place - the food in particular is poor - we spent an exorbitant amount for a charcuterie board that literally had sliced white bread on it (not an exaggeration). Only thing going for it is it’s on the Thames. Okay selection of beers and drinks. Suggest putting your hard earned cash elsewhere in Greenwich.

Went yesterday for their bottomless brunch. Best value brunch I’ve been to in ages - amazing views of the river, great food and banging garage tunes for £45pp for 3 courses inc. service. Bottomless lasted 2 hours and staff were lovely and attentive. Will definitely be back for another themed brunch!

The place is amazing, you can have some really nice sunsets. We celebrated my friends black tie graduation and it was smooth. The staff was amazing. The burger on the other hand, hmmm, not as I expected but I guess other people would appreciate it.

Nuestra experiencia en este restaurante fue bastante decepcionante. Después de hacer nuestro pedido de bebidas y comida, nos informaron 10 minutos después de que nuestra mesa había sido reservada para otra persona. No se hizo ningún esfuerzo para encontrarnos otra mesa, lo que mostró una falta de dedicación al servicio al cliente. Tuve que cambiar mi orden de bebidas porque no podían hacer la que quería inicialmente. Además, usan unidades extrañas para sus bebidas, como barriles en lugar de pintas o litros. Pedimos papas fritas junto con nuestras bebidas, pero cuando llegaron las bebidas, las papas fritas faltaban. A pesar de mostrar nuestro recibo, el servidor insistió en ver un recibo de correo electrónico que nunca recibí. Finalmente, trajo las papas fritas pero actuó como si nos estuviera haciendo un favor. La gota que colmó el vaso fue cuando se sirvió nuestra última bebida. La camarera se sumergió en una de nuestras bebidas, y ni siquiera se disculpó ni intentó rectificar la situación. En general, pagamos una cantidad sustancial por un servicio deficiente. Fue una experiencia realmente frustrante.

Go to this pub regularly. Today we were told we had to have a reservation. The manager appeared and agreed that we could have a beer. I asked why we needed a reservation when the pub and its outside terrace was more or less empty. He said it was because it is Fathers’ Day and if we weren’t happy we could leave so we did. I doubt we’ll go back. Went next door to the Sail Loft instead and we are now sitting right by the river having a beer.

Great food and atmosphere. Very friendly staff and a great location overlooking the Thames. Best to book in advance to reserve a table as this place can get fully booked and quickly. The food is highly recommended by all and the views are stunning expecially with the occasional cruise ship moored nearby. A must come to place.

One of my favourite veggie roasts and its lovely to sit out by the river when it's sunny. Their spicy margaritas are also good.

Had the best time at their new 90’s bottomless brunch! The drinks were flowing, the tunes were banging and the food was DELICIOUS! The view was incredible and it was such a lovely space to enjoy our Saturday afternoon. The staff were incredible - best service I’ve had in a very long time! They weren’t there just to serve you but to make sure you had an incredible time too! Honestly the best I’ve been too in such a long time.

Visitó Oystercatcher para una cena de asado aprox. 4 . 30 pm el domingo por la tarde. Ambos miembros de mi grupo pidieron cenar pollo asado. En general una experiencia decepcionante y no recomendaría este restaurante en absoluto! La comida fue servida tibia. Es cierto que sabía bien, pero claramente se había preparado y luego se había dejado en una placa caliente (no extremadamente) durante quién sabe cuánto tiempo, ya que se nos sirvió a solo 7 minutos de pedir. El pollo estaba frío y las papas asadas eran duras como rocas, pero recubiertas de salsa para hacerlas más suaves. También en el menú, indica que obtendrá chipolatas de cerdo (plural) con la comida, sin embargo, solo tuvimos una cada uno. ¡Es engañoso y barato anunciar que habrá múltiples chipolatas acompañando la comida cuando en realidad solo se le da una! Debo mencionar que estábamos sentados afuera, pero incluso si esperabas que la comida se enfriara más rápido de estar afuera, era tibia cuando llegó a la mesa antes de que cualquier brisa externa hubiera estado en ella. El 12. 5% de servicio es en realidad una broma... la camarera puso los platos en la mesa y luego tuvimos que esperar mientras nuestra comida se enfriaba aún más cuando luego fue a buscarnos cubiertos. Este fugaz encuentro costó £ 5 + reclamando ser asignado para “servicio” Tuve que entrar al bar a pedir y ningún personal regresó para preguntar si todo estaba bien durante la comida. No estoy seguro de qué excelente servicio estaba pagando, pero el cargo obligatorio es solo una simple mejilla al dejar caer los platos a la mesa es el mínimo en servicio que se debe esperar! Obviamente, el cargo por servicio se cobra realmente porque está pagando por la (buena) vista del río, pero no se debe sugerir que está pagando por el servicio que es promedio en el mejor de los casos. En general el 100% no recomienda una visita aquí para una cena asada a pesar de la gran ubicación. No volverá a pagar costos sobrevalorados por una cena fría y un mal servicio.

Excellent roast dinner at a very decent price with good views! Also the blonde waitress working upstairs with the black jumpsuit on (sorry I don’t remember her name!) was an excellent server and really made our visit amazing. She’s an asset!

Not impressed. A few dishes unavailable on the menu. Quite expensive for the low quality and ordinary dishes. £22.50 for 6 oysters when I could get Jersey Royals for £1 each at Borough Market. So expecting to pay no more than £2 each. I ordered short rib burger instead got a remarkably dry mince beef patty much smaller than the burger bun. Fish and Chip were actually not too bad, although my friend said she found the chips quite dry and very starchy. Poor waitress has little knowledge over dishes or any training for that matter. Maybe poor experience due to a Bank Holiday. Maybe it is seen as a tourist destination because it is by the river the prices may reflect this. I don’t mind paying over the odds but I would like to see the price reflects the quality of the dishes.

I had my 21st birthday and my mother's 50th birthday party here. We completely fell in love with the venue due to its interior and the stunning view of the Thames. So we decided hire the whole venue. Everything was fantastic. From the two course meal to the cocktails, everything was so delicious. The staff are so attentive and thoughtful, they truly made the evening a success. Couldn't recommend enough. We have since been back for lunches and drinks! Thank you Oystercatcher!

Great chicken and gym advice to check around town

Food great, location great, servers good... meant to be a bottomless brunch, they got funny with the pouring saying everyone's glass had to be empty before anyone got topped up! Would not go for the brunch again but food maybe. Hi Tom ** sorry but you are are just using safe drinking rules as an excuse for limiting the bottomless brunch and saving costs. You would not open a bottle until the whole tables glasses were empty... that is not bottless to each person paying the same amount! Others drink at different paces.

Came yesterday for Easter Sunday. Was very quiet. We ordered starters which were delicious, particularly the oysters. We had to ask if we could have the heating on as it was a bit nippy which the manager did straight away. All us adults went for the roast lamb which wasn’t very warm but overall was very tasty. The kids had the cheese burger and fries which they really enjoyed. Upstairs was unfortunately closed as it is absolutely stunning up there and a little more secluded. Will definitely return and hopefully get to sit upstairs next time. Staff were all very friendly and attentive.

Slopey shoulders staff who make you feel like you're an inconvenience. We visited on a late Saturday afternoon, place was quiet. The basic fundamentals of customer service not present. Not even a smile. Disastrous decision to go there. Food okay, but disappointing menu for what seems like a fish restaurant. Never again. :(

Just a few minutes walk along the river from the bustling middle of Greenwich, set among a modern area with restaurants & cafes. Friendly staff and lots of outdoor seating & tables, a great spot for a quiet beer while enjoying the commercial barges & tourist boats. Great views along the river views of the Canary Wharf precinct and views down the Thames to the city skyline including the Gherkin & the Shard.

The view is great, atmosphere is ok but the food was one of the worst I ever experienced, didn't want to complain as I went for a christening but my pork crackling was so hard on every side that my fork and knife didn't go through it 🤦🏻luckily the view was there to save the day

This was shame us the location is a excellent place to spend Morhers Day but the food was poor to say the least the staff did their best but the food let them down badly the prawn cocktail starter was very bland and the Mains were luke warm at best plus we were left waiting for 2 dinners which were so late the rest of us had finished before we got these and when i asked where the 2 dinners were the waitress came back with 2 Guinness's !! , we were given 50% off of the food but this did not make up for the disappointing Mothers Day 😒

Was bitterly disappointed with this place, I wouldn’t usually post a negative comment about a business but this place needs a shakeup if it wants people to return .Being it was Mother’s Day, they were unprepared for a day they should have been prepared for, it felt like it took a lifetime for the staff to come over to our table, the starters were ropey at best ( not just mine) the veg that came with the lukewarm roast was bordering cold, two of our party’s food hadn’t came by the time the rest of us had already eaten, the drink glasses were dirty & the men’s toilets were in a bad way with a broken toilet seat & graffiti on the wall. Although the staff were apologetic & offered us a discount, this place is one to avoid, the only good thing was the view.

This was my first visit to the Oyster Catcher. We were visiting friends and wanted to go for Sunday Lunch. They recommended to try here.It didn't disappoint!! No word of a lie, it was one of the best Sunday Dinners I have ever eaten, and I class myself as a bit of a snob when it comes to these. The view is amazing, over looking Canary Wharf, the atmosphere was nice and the service excellent. A special thanks to Zak, who went above and beyond.

Restaurant in front of the river with good views. Good food, the portions a little fair. They didn't warn us that the kitchen closed at 9pm and we couldn't order dessert.

I visited today for a solo dinner at 3pm. I had a lovely table upstairs and the view was nice. Greeted by friendly welcoming staff members, order was taken promptly but not rushed. The wait for food was around half an hour or maybe slightly longer which I think is very reasonable. The halibut was amazing. Monkfish scampi was nice. The loaded fries were lovely too. My only complaints were that I felt that I could've been asked if i wanted anything else and if everything was okay without me asking and it would have been nice if the temperature was warmer inside.

Went a while ago for Sunday roast, and their was 4 of us. But unfortunately, 2 of our plates came back with completely raw/ uncooked, bloody chicken. Sent it back and it took a long time to get it recooked, so we all ate at different times. Service was slow. When they recooked our second plates, it was yummy, but still disappointed overall.

Oystercatcher wad actually a very different experience' we had a poor day prior to coming here, we met all the staff and they were all lovely. The food was absolutely fantastic, credit to the chefs, the polish chef just came from holiday and did his best to accomdate our needs. The drinks was all amazing and the service was perfect. Upmarket bar / function room, 2 min walk from cutty sark, by the river bank. Went to function room. Buffet snacks served with large selection ranging from crab to prawns to caviar. Food was good, service was good and atmoshere good. Location is excellent with river views

Lovely pub to visit when walking round Greenwich. Dog friendly, we always sit outside and watch the world go by. Lovely view of the river Thames, they also have heaters outside for the colder weather.
