The Mitre Greenwich in Greenwich

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty cocktails. Seems to have a really relaxed atmosphere where you can happily chat with friends and family over a drink as well as a bite to eat.

After a walk through the Greenwich market, we stopped by this pub to have dinner. Fish and chips with mashed peas was amazing. I tried a guava beer. It was a bit more soft. The environment is very casual and the staff is super friendly. It's also a hotel upstairs. No idea about noise or comfort. There's a church next to it. We got out just as the bells started swinging. It was a great experience.

I run a writing group and we have started meeting at The Mitre. They are really welcoming and the staff are efficient and friendly. There are usually 15 of us and everyone loves the place. The food was good and they have a good selection of beers and wine. We'll be going there a lot.

Perhaps it was a bad night. Didn't have the opportunity to order despite an advance reservation.

£7 for what looked like half a small glass of wine. I am annoyed I’ve not complained, but this place is a rip off…

I went there with my mum before watching a movie at the PictureHouse cinema across the road from it. It was Steak night. They have different themed nights. I booked a table. When we got there, the staff were busy and we had to find our way around the policy of just going to the restaurant area and finding your own table but which has been marked up as Reserved by a indicator on the table. The waiting staff were very good at getting your orders in and providing you your drinks first. The Chorizo sides were gorgeous. I found the steak very good. The atmosphere was just as you'd expect in an area buzzing with life in Greenwich. However, towards dessert the staff became remarkably bad. We had finished our mains and were expecting to be asked for the desert menu. When it arrived and I chose what I was intending on ordering, it felt like we had been totally forgotten about. I managed to flag down a female waitress and ordered a Tiramisu. It must have been twenty minutes later that still nothing had come to our table. We were very conscious that our film started in 20 minutes time. I flagged down the staff member who was chatting with other staff members at the bar now as everything seemed to have calmed down and asked where's my dessert! She apologised and said she'll find out in the kitchen. We hoped to get some feedback but alas, No! I decided just to get the bill stating to deduct anything for a dessert I never had and promptly left. The irony is that you have to indicate on the reservation just how long you're going to need the table for! The male member of staff was particularly good and quite hot. Worth a visit just for that eye candy 🍭 But the Chorizos are just Divine

I stayed for 3 nights in the family room, the facilities were fantastic, daily housekeeping, very clean. The food is absolutely gorgeous! But the staff are what made the stay even more amazing, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you

Didnt eat as just having a couple of beers lovely and warm atmosphere. Must say feel for the staff eho were great as the church next door were having bell tower practice randomly every 6 or 7 minutes apart after 8pm for an hour.... too bad for families trying to get kids to sleep. Staff mentioned it effects hotel guests as well. Didnt effect our score for the venue.

Had a great experience, thanks specifically to Megan who was so welcoming and helpful to us as first time visitors! Will definitely be coming again now!

I quickly stoppped by the pub this evening and had a great experience. Tia, one of the bar staff, was super friendly and helpful. She made sure everything was spot on and had such a great attitude, even on a busy night. It’s always nice when someone goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome!

Tia was nice and friendly, i also like the atmosphere Will visit it again for sure.

We had a lovely dinner, the atmosphere, the food and the service was fantastic. Especially our server Megan she was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would 100% recommend eating here

Nipped in for a very quick drink, staff excellent and happy to tell me about their different independent ales and was spoilt for choice between the three that was on offer, although was assisted by the lovely bar girl Tia for a decision. 10/10

I passed this place a few times before and finally visited tonight where I had a warm welcome from Tia the bar lady. Had a nice Guinness reasonably priced.

Headed in for drinks. Enjoyed the live music they had on! Didn’t eat but food looked great. Prices affordable for London! Very friendly faces behind the bar. We were served by Megan who welcomed us with a smile. Would recommend and will be back.

Enjoyed Sunday lunch with the family, good children’s menu and dog friendly too. Some good craft beers to choose from and good range of cocktails. Great pub whatever the weather! Edit: really enjoyed the seabass!

First time coming to this establishment as was in London meeting a friend. We was served by a worker named Tia who recommended we try budvar. Which was not the usual pick but was a great recommendation.

While here at the mitre I was served by a lovely young girl called tia, she was clearly very busy but still made sure i had everything I needed and gave me service with a smile, will definitely be returning based on that alone!

I was served by a lovely man called Elwyn for a brilliant round of Sunday drinks with my friends. He was smiley and very attentive, made our Sunday catch up perfect!

- Service & Quality was above and beyond Popped into the Mitre yesterday on the off chance that they had space for Sunday lunch for 8 people and 5 dogs! The lady I spoke to (I assume she was the manageress?) couldn't have been more helpful, professional and welcoming. The team went out of there way to accommodate us. Sunday lunch was excellent and also the beers and wines didn't disappoint. The young man who served us was also excellent. Would recommend this pub to anyone, will be one of our regular local haunts. Keep up the good work guys you really made our day after being let down by another local establishment.

A large and welcoming pub with a great selection of beers and wines. Food is tasty pub grub with some high lights. Staff were pleasant and efficient.

The Mitre is in an excellent location for visiting the attractions around Greenwich and also well placed to use transport links to O2 Arena. Our room was spotless and comfortable , a good selection of beers in the bar and good breakfast choice too and to cap it all the staff are 5 stars all round.

Great evening, we were set aside a room and heated outdoor area for our birthday party.

Popped in yesterday for some lunch. Ended up going for the he fish and chips (table across from us ordered and it looked delicious) and it was superb! Reasonably priced and good selection of beers on tap. Neck oil was delicious!

I popped into the Mitre last week for bit of lunch and a couple of pints and was blown away by how hospitable and attentive the staff were! One young lad in particular - I believe his name was James - was an absolute gem, and made my experience truly fantastic! I'll be sure to visit again soon.

A gem of a pub close to and yet also away from the hubbub of Greenwich. Staff is genuinely pleasant. Food was tasty.

Just want to say a Massive Thank You to the team for what was a fabulous 50th celebration at the Mitre. The service was second to none the team couldn't have been any more helpful. The buffet food was superb and couldn't fault a thing. Apologies for the balloon mess!

Lovely time in The Mitre meeting friends. Once again Jackie gave me a warm welcome and recognised me from my previous visit. My friends enjoyed it too and said they would be back. Lovely pub, lovely staff.

I always come to the Mitre when in Greenwich for a cosy atmosphere and friendly and helpful staff. No food this time so can’t score on that but great for drinks with friends. Good choice of wines - recommend the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc! 😀

Lovely pub with rooms to stay in. My parents loved their weekend here and was a great spot to start our trips in the area. The food was also delicious and the drinks had a great selection in the bar.

This is a fabulous little gem! The staff were extremely friendly and efficient and their recommendations of the food were accurate. We had the roast beef which was just superb. The bar staff made us beautiful cocktails and these were very tasty. The staff made this visit, they were kind, friendly and efficient and both was too much trouble. Great British pub !

Your search for a place to stay is over - book!!! You know when you get an invite to a wedding, and get all excited, a London wedding, then you think ‘ouch’ this might be expensive...then to find out that the wedding party was going to be staying in a pub/hotel...mmm, I had reservations, as I had no control over where we were going to be staying for a couple of nights. Well I need not have AT ALL. My expectations were low...I had images of a 'few rooms above a pub in central london'... I could not have been more wrong, and I shall be visIting again without a shadow of a doubt. AND the price was reasonable indeed. To give you some context, Mum (81 going on 61) and I arrived a little early, NO PROBLEM...the wonderful staff never even mentioned the time! Ian - the person with whom we had the most contact was nothing short of BRILLIANT. However so were ALL the staff there, from housekeeping through to bar/waiting staff - whatever you guys are doing to recruit and retain - keep doing it! We checked in - he shared again (although we had already been made aware prior to our arrival) that the lift was not working, and offered to assist with our luggage. OK so the stairs were steep and very windy, but we, or rather I managed. The hotel juggled guests around who were elderly (one of our party was 90 plus) to ensure they were on the first floor. The room was perfect. Beds comfy, clean, all amenites you would expect from a 4*+ hotel. Think central London pub, you think noise; wrong- fab glazing on the windows, no sound from any other room; I shared with my Ma, and our 2 singles were glorious, we both had good nights sleep. The breakfast was delish. Writing this review, I wish I had taken photos, but we dined with guests from the wedding party so it was all introductions and chat, less photos and commentary! The only tiny dissapointment was breakfast on the second morning...wasn't as good, a bit cold - still ate it though. There was 10+ rooms booked over these 2 nights...and the rooms I saw - a few - were all perfect. Even on departure day, Ian took our luggage out to our car. He actually even set his alarm to make sure he was in our room in time to help us. OK so I left a bag behind, but they were so quick to realise they got my niece to take it on our behalf. We stayed in room 204, and are looking forward to coming back to see you all again soon...Ian mentioned on departure that it's super convenient for the 02 so we had better getting booking some tickets. MASSIVE THANK YOU to all the wonderful staff, nothing was too much trouble...the service of a 5* hotel!

We had a party booking and had a brilliant time. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I ordered a buffet for 25 people and we had plenty of leftovers which was amazing. Overall, we had a great time, would happily come back as well as recommend to friends.

Food was good but waited over an hour for our food. Wry poor service.

Hire a room for a business meeting and the place was great. We had a meeting room with a projector all to ourselves. We had lunch which was great. Would definitely recommend.

Very friendly staff and great place to watch the football. We popped in on a busy weekend evening to watch the Euro’s and the atmosphere and team working were brilliant! We’ll definitely be back.

Had an amazing experience here. We stopped in for lunch after a stay in the lovely hotel, food and service was wonderful!

Food was quite fine and service both fast and friendly. They did not have my preferred dish selection, which was a little frustrating, and it was a bit overpriced, but would still recommend.

To the owner, your staff are the laziest, most passive-aggressive, obnoxious bar staff I've ever come across. All on the go slow, losing you turnover. Have a closet look and sort it out.

Fabulous pub in a perfect location. I was a makeup artist for a bridal party today (28/6/24) and the team at the Mitre were so helpful and friendly. Lovely rooms and plenty space for everyone to get ready in their cute conference room. The food looked delicious and generous portion sizes too. Great job guys. I will be back for sure

I love this pub! I went with my family on Sunday to have fish and chips and we loved it! The atmosphere was top notch! Me, my husband and my kids enjoyed eating there! I highly recommend this pub to visit with your family!
