Thank you to Tai or Tia and Lara (sorry if I got your names wrong) and compliments to the chef and management team. You are clearly doing something right. It is so rare nowadays to find a decente pub with such delicious Sunday roasts. Amazing option of affordable extra porkies and extra gravy. The whole team were smiley, attentive and no request seemed to bother them which is a relief. We came with 2 disabled dogs that need prams and is rare to find places that are accommodating. Luckily they are super dog friendly and we didn't feel judged for taking so much space. We had roast beef, chicken roast and veggie roast and all of our dishes were spectacular! We even had the crumble and the brownie and I will for sure come back for more! Thank you guys! Keep up with the amazing work and don't let those annoying and grumpy guests get to you. You all did an amazing job today.

A nice place with great service & atmosphere however the Sunday roast wasn’t too great. Overcooked extremely dry chicken leg, Undercooked potatoes with no crunch or flavour fit for School dinner :) I’ve had somewhat better @ Toby carvery which shouldn’t be. The roasted veg and sides were very good standard, presentation was nice & service was faultless, The Meat & potatoes are the cornerstones of a roast so overall it was a bit disappointing. Will I go back? Lovely establishment & comprehensive menu, sure…I’d even try another roast as it seems they’re happy to hear the constructive criticism. 👌

I had a lovely time at the mitre and was served by a helpful barmaid called lola, amazing customer service and what a laugh!!!! Would recommend.

Love this place! Would recommend to anyone looking for a drink while wondering around Greenwich.

Booked for dinner and to watch rugby and given a table with a great view of the screen. Great atmosphere, staff, and most of the food (baked sharing camembert, fish and chips, burgers.) Excellent cider choice. Less good: too long from app order to drinks/starter coming (had to go and check order had been received), mushy peas too watery, burgers/chips needed something else on plate (salad/peas?) Out of nachos... But overall enjoyed our visit and would return.

Such a lovely little pub - the service was super friendly (especially towards our dog) and the cost of food and drink is very reasonable considering the location! Food is fine for what you pay, it’s not a gourmet restaurant it’s a pub. We were in the garden room which was excellent as it was away from the sport on tv.

I have never had such an awful food before. Inedible, tasteless, dry, poor quality. Do not waste your money and time and possibly health by eating here. Chips swimming in oil salad ingredients from a can dry chewy and tasteless rest, chicken dry frozen awful so was the calamari . Every bit of food was awful tasting. Staff nice and settings nice so one can be forgiven for getting duped into staying in to dine. Never again.

Worst food we have eaten in years!! Feel very sorry for any tourist that stumbles on this place!! Not surprised people not from England think our foods rubbish when it’s done this bad! Avoid at all cost

James was absolutely AMAZING! I brought my boyfriend to the mitre for a few drinks, and now it’s our FAVOURITE pub! We had some gorgeous roast potatoes and amazing Yorkshire puddings. And James brought it all out in the most gorgeous way! Such an amazing waiter, made our night so special! Will DEFINITELY be coming back to the mitre!

Enjoyed Sunday lunch with the family, good children’s menu and dog friendly too. Some good craft beers to choose from and some nice outside seating which we’ll definitely return for when the weather is warmer!

Had a meeting in the pub last week. Great lunch. Recommend the Veggie burger. Fantastic experience. Can back to this pub today . Brilliant as always.

Nice enough pub. Good range of cask ales. I had a pint of Pride which was well presented and clean. They seem to shift it quickly enough for it not to go off. Staff seemed knowledgeable about what they were selling.

We booked the Mitre for my husbands birthday lunch after we had visited for a pint on the way back to the station as we were impressed with the warm friendly atmosphere. We were greeted by extremely friendly and helpful staff and had a delicious selection of 3 plates and a nice bottle of wine. the food and drink selection was great but not overwhelming. They are extremely dog friendly and brought over a bowl of water for our old girl and fussed her with some treats. There is plenty of room between tables so dogs don't disturb other tables. We had a super time, thank you :)

Super disappointed. Came for a nice hot and hearty roast dinner and expected for the price I’d get that. Instead my food was so cold as if it’s been sat there for an hour left over from lunch. Freezing cold cabbage, roasties I’m betting have been over cooked since this morning, and that’s just to start. Looked around and couldn’t find anyone to raise this too. Definitely NOT what I was expecting. Sad thing is, If it was hot or even warm it would have been decent.

We went in on Tuesday- pub was quiet but service was excellent. Special mention to Tomas who was super friendly, he recommended the Nachos, which were delicious!

Loved the homely feel - obviously well run with a lot of thought going into the menu and overall pub. Had the joy of being served by Tomas who spoke good Português to us, and reminded us we weren’t too old to be drinking on a week day!

Popped in for a pint & fish and chips after a lovely walk around Greenwich! Mulled wine warmed us up nicely and the fish & chips was one of the best I’d had in London! Service was friendly and efficient even though you could tell they were very busy! Sadly I didn’t catch the name of the gent who served us, but he was a pleasure! Will definitely pop back next time we’re in the area.

Seeing as we were one of the few people to be in the place you’d think they’d actually want our custom. We were greeted with ‘just so you know, we are closing at 10.30’ in a condescending tone. No hello. No thank you. Nothing. She obviously wanted us to leave so she could go home and she made it very clear we were not wanted by her tone and actions. When we questioned the early closing time she back tracked and said ‘last orders are at 10.30 and we close at 11’. So a lie to get us to drink up and leave. Absolutely pathetic.

We stayed one night last weekend. The rooms are gorgeous with such a comfortable bed!!! The check in was ok, efficient. The bar area is lovely with a gorgeous little garden. Breakfast was average, really tasty sausages but over-cooked eggs and bacon. Overall we had a lovely stay!

The food was delicious - the whole family was happy. We were served by the friendly Tom, he was very attentive and friendly despite the pub being so busy on a Saturday!!

Great service - definitely worth a visit

We went for the Sunday pub quiz and had a lot of fun.

I attended a pre-booked Christmas meal with 7 colleagues yesterday evening. Some of us had ordered a glass of Prosecco but this never arrived, though the pub did try to charge us for it. The potatoes on mine and another person's main plate were so hard/uncooked that we couldn't eat them & that main course was nothing like the picture/description advertising it. We had to wait hours for food to arrive & for some us it was very disappointing when it did. The service was slow, though I'm not blaming the waiting staff as they tried their best but the place was clearly understaffed. Their seemed to be a problem in the kitchen, however. We didn't get charged for one of the main courses when we complained & I've given 4 stars for atmosphere because of the lovely people at my table. However, I will not be coming back & I would not recommend this pub at all if you want food, please don't waste your money & time - go somewhere else instead.

Poor value for money. Breakfast very limited, no cereals, croissants

Served raw chicken (pink and slimey). When I gave it back to the waitress they said someone would come back but no one came to the table. When I went to the bar to ask the supervisor if someone was going to see us, she was rude, unapologetic, had an attitude and said it isn’t possible to be raw as they buy their chicken already cooked. She also assumed I wanted a refund straight away. This wasn’t the case as I just wanted an explanation as no one had come back to my table. Why as a supervisor the first thing you say is “you can’t have a refund” instead of an apology? As you can see from the other reviews, this isn’t the first case of raw food being served and there have been similar experiences about poor service. Please train your staff on how to be polite and treat customers. I will never come back. Additional comment: I am writing in response to the company. I did indeed have a chicken thigh which I asked for a take away box for. Since they did not have a box, I decided to eat the chicken thigh and it was then which my friend noticed the thigh was raw. So regardless if I ate the food, this does not dismiss the fact I noticed the meat was raw. If the situation was handled with empathy I would not have to write a long review.

Nice pub - looks and feels comfy, with nice decoration and overall atmosphere. Beer choice is not amazing but decent, and they serve several pretty nice cocktails. Food was quite good. Service is OK but kinda disinterested - plates were never taken from tables when we were done eating and ordered drinks (we were there twice, with same result).

Staff were great, very friendly and welcoming. Room very spacious though a bit tired, paint peeling on the bathroom ceiling, scuffed off paint on the walls in the bedroom. Bed was firm, my husband loved it, I prefer a softer bed but can't please everyone with a bed! Issue with the TV remote, it wouldn't work, husband went to the bar and got given a different one, still didn't work, the bar man ended coming upstairs with yet another remote and that thankfully worked. Lighting was a bit of an issue for me, in the bathroom, great lighting, in the bedroom, very dull lighting, I need a mirror and a seat when doing my make up and found it very difficult to get good lighting, there is a lamp but it doesn't stay up. We had breakfast and dinner when we were there, food lovely both times, good portion sizes, tasty and reasonably priced as well. I would stay again as a more budget style hotel.

Overall good food and widd choice of drinks, but quite expensive @ £7 odd per pint and cheapest main is £15 and upwards.

Lovely historic pub with nice outdoor covered seating. Inside is classy and comfortable. Warm. Bar staff are friendly and customer service is great. Busy but it’s a big, long space to accommodate. Good beer range, including real ales, and a Camden stout on tap. Menu has solid vegetarian options.

Tourist trap, with no ambition or intentions of being anything else. Content to cater to passing trade, or group bookings (there was a baby shower when we were there) and no interest in being a nice pub, which is what it used to be. We sat in the outside area, at the back, and just about every table had dirty plates and glasses on them. We stayed for one drink and despite the number of staff, some of whom came outside, no one showed any interest in clearing the mess. Have had food before, which put me off ever ordering again and the complaints from other customers would suggest things are no better. Such a shame.

The environment, music and layout is really nice to sit back and relax. The food is quite tasty and I ordered a Mojito which looked and tasted great. The manager was very nice. Recommended pub for sure

I am talking about the hotel only, I didn’t come to the pub. I honestly think you are excessively overpriced for what you offer. The location is excellent, but there are other hotels in Greenwich. The bathroom was very cold, with minimal supplies provided, there was no bottled water provided, the reception was never staffed, I had two very big and heavy suitcases but wasn’t offered any help with them.

I stayed here and had an excellent time. I ordered the fish and chips, which I’ve never had. Absolutely delicious! I had a small problem, but it was quickly taken care of by Hannah who was a gem. I will definitely be back.

This place is amazing. The new manager in here has added such a homely feel. The team are so friendly and the food was coming out promptly. I will be back!

I brought my choir of about 30 for an after-event buffet supper which we had in the conservatory and half of the patio. The food was lovely and the team, led by Ian, looked after us well, and even let us sing for half an hour! Given how hot the weekend was, and how busy everyone was with the rugby, it all went very well and we all loved it. Big thanks to all involved including the poor ladies and lads down in the kitchens!

Had a great stay here. Good food, comfortable, spotless room, which was ideally set out for someone with mobility issues. Well placed for stepping out into lively Greenwich. Above all, fantastic staff who do everything they can to make your stay the best it can be. Will definitely be returning.

Pleasant staff, pleasant atmosphere, clean, required drinks available. Not too young which was refreshing, and no noisy music, also refreshing.

Nice little pub in Greenwich opposite the world heritage site Greenwich meantime plaque. Good range of beers and ales, also serving food. Lovely interior and secret garden.
