Such friendly reception! I walked in the door and was instantly welcomed and given options of where to sit for our comfort as well. This kind of service really makes a difference. The toasties we had were really good as well. Thanks heaps. I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely lovely pub, I come here with my parents every time they come up to visit. James (with the bun) was incredibly welcoming and humorous; he truly made our visit better than ever. He is a real asset to the pub and made our visit even more special.

We have only went there for a drink. Definitely worth it. Beer/ale was good as was appletiser for kids. Staff was wellcoming and talkative. We have enjoyed it.

Went here today with my husband. Ordered a sandwich and a toastie got two toasties but kept them as we were hungry..as my husband was finishing his last portion. He found a hair in it ...when he told the barman he replied oh sorry ill tell the kitchen!!!absolutely disgusted. Food hygiene rating 0. Will not be returning!.

My new mission is to prove that TSG BBQ bacon smash burger is NOT the best burger in Greenwich. I think I might fail.

Good food, good atmosphere and great service! Daniel, the assistant manager, made sure we were sitting comfortably and was very engaging. Ethan (I think that was his name) behind the counter, was also very nice. Will return if we ever go back to Greenwich.

Avoid! Such a shame to see this pub revert to bad customer service. This pub “used” to. be excellent and a regular for us. We booked a table for 8 people some weeks ago and explained we had dogs with us. We had done this previously with no problems. However they appear to have changed management! They decided because we had a dog we could only be in a certain area which was in the front door on stools! When we asked if we could relocate to somewhere else so not to block the front door and somewhere with a proper table as we were having Sunday Lunch, the manager just dismissed us and said no. The pub was empty, now I know why! He had decided to stick 8 adults on 3 small round tables and six stools in the doorway and next to a burning fire?! Great idea half the table can freeze whilst the other boil! No loss to us, walked out and went to The Mitre round the corner who was only happy to accommodate us, if you want to know how to run a pub and learn customer service I suggest you pop round. The Mitre also enjoyed the £800 we spent and they will be getting more of our business from now on. Such a shame to see this pub return to the hellhole it used to be after all the work the last people did.

Great location near Cutty Sark for a quick feed after a tour. Go for a classic dish!

I loved their food. It’s pub style food which is great, especially their burgers! I’ve also tried their macaroni croquettes and I highly recommend it.

Typical English pub frequented by locals, great beer and food. Excellent service. If you go to Greenwick, great for eating and drinking something other than street food. Must try.

We actually went out for dinner as a family at another pub in Greenwich and was really disappointed with the service we received. We had one drink then left and found The Spanish Galleon honestly the happiest accident I have ever made. From the moment I arrived with my family of 7 we were greeted warmly and professionally then seated. Start to finish the staff couldn’t have been more attentive and friendly, the food was delicious we will 100% be back. Thank you Spanish Galleon team for a wonderful experience, we will be back soon x

Poor. I was overcharged for drinks and the food took over an hour for our family to appear with staff hanging around chatting. Wouldn’t repeat.

A place where fish and chips and burgers are delicious. It's close to the Greenwich Observatory and the park, and the staff is friendly. The fish and chips had a slightly fishy taste, but it was actually good for me, who likes seafood, and the way it was fried and grilled was especially excellent. The French fries were exceptional. If you dip it in ketchup, you'll feel like you've experienced heaven. The thickness of the potato chips was perfect for my personal taste and the doneness was very good. The burger was a bang bang burger, but it had a strong cheese flavor and the taste of the pickled onions, bacon, and patty were good. Recommended if you are looking for a pub with delicious food in Greenwich.

Great bar and really good music and service. Unfortunately, we had to wait more than 25 minutes for one toast sandwich with skinny fries, at lunch time, with very little other guests at the time. At the end, the toast and fries were really good and worth waiting for.

The amount of flavour delivered in this burger was ridiculous! I normally prefer a thick patty, but this was layered so good. Banging burgers, and great staff!

Haven’t been here in years despite being a Greenwich local. Popped in for the Wimbledon final and had to leave a 5* review. The food was great (can highly recommend the smash burger and chicken sandwich), beers well kept and the 2 guys behind the bar were super friendly and accommodating. Will be coming back more from now on - very underrated pub in the centre of Greenwich.

I arrived late and Ethan was incredibly accommodating. Even though it was close to closing service didn’t suffer at all. Very impressed how welcoming and accommodating he was. I will certainly be drinking here again

We loved the old Kent cask ales (I had the Spitfire), which were pleasantly not gassy. The fish and chips were truly marvelous, as advertised, but the best part of the visit was the friendly staff, especially the bartender.

Well kept range of Shepherd Name ales. The food was good, we only chose from the smaller bites options. Service was also good compared to other London pubs I've visited.

Our group of 16 ran across the Spanish Galleon while visiting Greenwich for the day and had a lovely lunch. They kindly opened up the second level "Crow's Nest" for us. Service was quick and friendly. A variety of lunch options were ordered and everyone seemed to enjoy what they ordered. I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone looking for a place to grab l lunch and/or a pint when in the area.

The food is really good and the service was great. The waiter with glasses and brown hair was very nice and helpful so props to her.

Would rate the food a 7 out of 5 if I could. The hamburger (with blue cheese)and chips was nothing short of world class and drool worthy. Was not expecting that! The chip with skims, oh my. Yummy with a capitol YUM. Also highly recommend the Spitfire lager! Wish I could have brought a pint home! If you're in Greenwich, don't hesitate... and ask for Janeli. She will put you right! Good on ya!

Unexpected lunch find when visiting Greenwich today. Friendly smiling service from Siobhan too. Would recommend the bangers and mash and fish on salad as an alternative to the usual chips.

We tried to find a different and comfortable place, eventually we find Spanish Galleon This is the only bar that i wanna to be there every week the reasons are the staff’s so friendly, kind, respectful specially JOSEF👌🏻he is unique in this bar i never ever seen any staff’s like him We got a good feeling during evening 🎉 sasan

Oldy Worley pub, traditional decor which includes stuffed animals. Friendly welcome from staff, decent pints in there too. Good location if you’re jumping of the river boat at Greenwich as it’s very central.

Delicious food!! The Guinness pie was so incredibly good, and the mashed potatoes beyond delicious. Everyone loved their meal and the atmosphere is quintessential English pub Our waiter/bartender Joe was absolutely delightful Would definitely recommend!!

Had the fish ‘n chips and a sticky toffee pudding. Absolutely scrummy! Fish was haddock. Chips were crispy,hot and well seasoned and PLENTIFUL! Garnished with pea tendrils,with an awesome tartar and curry sauce on the side. Being a Yank, I asked for catsup(don’t judge me-lol.

We had lunch in this beautiful pub after our visit to the Cutty Sark and before heading to the Maritime Museum and it was the perfect choice. The BLTs served with fries were delicious and fresh, good choices of ales to accompany your meal in a nicely decorated old fashioned public house. And the ladies in charge were friendly and cheerful. Highly recommended place if you are visiting Greenwich district. Thanks

The Spanish Galleon is a great place to pause for lunch while in Greenwich, UK. The food is delicious. We had a veggie burger, homemade soup, and cheese toastie. The manager is wonderfully accommodating. Definitely worth a stop!

Nice enough pub in a fantastic location but the food sadly lets them down and made my tummy a little wiggly. Could have just been my choice . Maybe ask if the customer was salt on their chips next time - inedible

I had the most wonderful burger I’ve ever had! The double cheddar smash burger was delicious! Between the bun that practically melted in your mouth and the cheesy goodness with bang bang sauce on the incredibly fresh meat, it leaves you completely happy. The french fries were fried perfectly and you had plenty! Also had the mac n cheese bites that were served on a generous serving of chipotle mayo. Tip: dip your fries in that chipotle mayo…you’re welcome! Whenever I return to London, the Spanish Galleon will be one of my first stops!!

Popped in for a quick drink on a Saturday afternoon. Traditional English pub feel. Moderately busy, with a real fire on the go. It was obviously dog friendly. The only downside there was a heavy fish odour that lingered, I'm sure that was a one-off. Pleasant atmosphere, would visit again.

Fairly expensive not too bad though. What got me though was that I saw a mouse or some other type of rodent running across the floor. Staff seemed great but the place was musty and really just didn't have a great ambience

Really good food and service. The atmosphere was fun! The bathrooms were clean. The service staff were nice. The ale was top notch. I had a spicy chicken sandwich and my husband had a burger. They both were very good.

A very cosy welcoming British pub. Had the Sunday Chicken roast which probably is the best i have had in a long time. They have nice seating and a fireplace to keep you warm. The staff were very cooperative and friendly. Would definitely visit again.

Staff are always friendly, happy and helpful, with the drinks being priced on par for any central London pub. Worth a stop if you're in Greenwich.

In with family for soup and sandwiches. Half hour wait for food. Measure of Tea in the cups was very small (about 125ml). The roast potato soup was tasteless and had a disturbing consistency, like oily pureed potato without stock or any flavouring/ seasoning. Even adding salt did not help. Roll and sausage came drenched in tomato sauce (even although this had specifically been asked for 'on the side'). We respectfully offered feedback. We paid £9 for 2 bowls of inedible soup and £5 for 2 of the smallest cups of tea (no pots avail) I have ever seen. No discount was offered as recompense. We were told they would keep feedback in mind for when we visit again! I expect they neither care about feedback nor whether or not we will return again.

The Spanish Galleon is situated in Greenwich and is adjacent to Cutty Sark DLR station. We had lunch here after a docklands walk from Canary Wharf to Greenwich via the foot tunnel. I enjoyed the Shepherd Neame ales as well as my aubergine croquettes. The service was good too.

During a visit to the Cutty Sark on Friday I saw that they still offered the traditional Sunday Roast. Reserved immediately. Had a delicious meal on Sunday in a nice, authentic pub atmosphere. Roast was great and plentiful.

Stopped in here for a bite during our visit to London, food was delicious with good portions. Would highly recommend.
