Tasteful decor, good selection of rotating cask ales. Snacks and food is also good. Always a nice atmosphere in here. If you want to know what makes this pub so nice, read the one star reviews for some idea of the type of person you can avoid here.

Fantastic food and great choice. Atmosphere is lovely and so are the staff. Would highly recommend, definitely worth a visit. Can’t wait to go back to try something else from the menu.

Great beer, great staff and very friendly atmosphere

Have visited lots of times for drinks but this was the first time for lunch . Varied menu including all the lunch time staples .Chose the Stilton and bacon sandwich with side order of chips .Sandwich was fresh and well filled and the chips were hot and tasty . Sandwich was very filling . Wine was very excellent . The pub is always very welcoming and friendly . I was eating on my own and felt very comfortable . Will return for lunch again

A pub where you can just chill. No over bearing music just a place for a quiet chat over a glass or to read the paper over a pint. Would have preferred a regular brand of lager instead of the lagers on offer

My favourite pub in Eltham. Traditional inside with a cosy feel with a large heated outside area. The staff are all polite and friendly and the service with quick and efficient. Was pleasantly surprised to find Hawkstone on draft, a great addition to an already good selection!

This is a review of the Park Tavern as a pub for a pint of Ale. I cannot give or make no comment regarding the food. From the outside this is indeed a very photogenic pub and the yellow paint job complementing the original yellow and green Truman’s tiling is very pleasing to the eye and invites you inside. Unfortunately, nowadays the interior does not match the exterior and although the décor and seating are perfectly pleasant enough, its clearly been modernised over the years and at some point the serving bar has been rebuilt to look like something made out of 1960’s Formica. But as the six handpumps that are on it were all in operation for my visit I did warm to this one. Alongside Adnams Mosaic and Southwold Bitter were Harveys Sussex Best, Woodforde Nog Dark Ale, Tring Piggeries Amber ale and Ilkley Brewery Blonde. So, a good mix of styles and the couple I tried were in excellent nick. There is a small courtyard garden outback, but on a fine day it is the preserve of smokers so wasn’t that comfortable a space for a non-smoker like me. But all in all, this is a very solid pub and definitely one of the best in Eltham.

Expensive? Quite. However this is the place to go to have a chat with a friend. You are highly unlikely to be bothered by any unsavoury characters. The service is also very good too. Glasses are cleaner than other places too.

Lovely yummy food! Home made steak pie and chips, my partner and i agreed its worth every penny and friendly staff, will definitely go there again as it has lovely old fashioned quite atmosphere rather than going to any other pub that has loud sport TVs!

First time eating at the pub and the food was gorgeous. Such a lovely atmosphere - you wouldn’t think you’re right next to a busy high street on a Saturday! Sat in the garden area in plenty of shade. Bar staff are lovely and accommodating! Highly recommend this little eltham gem!

Randomly chose a place to eat for lunch in an area I don’t know. Wow such a lucky choice! Food was brilliant. Caesar salad made to perfection and slow cooked belly pork that melted in your mouth. Topped with savoury crackling just at the right level of crunch! Almost worth equal billing was the bubble & squeak - just the right consistency and seasoning. Will definitely visit again when nearby. 😀

This pub is small and seems to attract a good standard of guests as I never find anyone being noisy etc. A slightly older clientele than other pubs which I think is good. They offer a good range and beers and wines and the staff are polite and courteous. They have a garden for when the weather is good which is populated with small tables and chairs. In the winter, they have a real fire inside to warm you through as you make your way through a delicious plate of cheese and biscuits. I always have managed to get a seat when I have been there too. Well worth a visit.

Went here for a late lunch with a friend. Good choice of beers but we had prosecco, which was reasonably priced. I had the bubble and squeak and sausage with onion gravey. It was delicious, and the portion was fairly generous. My friend had jacket potato and chilli, which was again a generous size and was also very tasty. We sat in the garden, which was really nicely laid out and had a tarpaulin, so if it rained we were kept dry. It was fairly busy, which I'm sure is due to the lovely food along with the great service and welcoming atmosphere. Well, it's worth a visit.

I haven't eaten in the Park Tavern, so I cannot comment on the food. On the times I have been in, I have been impressed by the service the relaxed atmosphere and the wide selection of beers. I will be using this little gem a bit more in the future

Popped in one sunny afternoon for a couple of lager. This pub used to be one of the worst in Eltham years ago but now has definitely re-established its self as one of the better pubs in the area. Decent pint of Heineken served at reasonable prices. Lovely, polite friendly staff. Nice interior and plenty of outdoor seating. No kids or work clothes! One complaint is that the gentleman's loo is covered in Vaseline! Yeh ok i understand why they do this but didn't appreciate it covering my £1700 Samsung fold phone after I placed it on the toilet roll dispenser! Maybe don't assume everyone is indulging whilst they visit the cubicle!

I am attracted here because of the good real ale and the dog friendliness.

A gem of an old tradition pub! Friendly & happy bar ladies. Good selection of real ale on hand pumps. Very reasonable prices. Cool, relaxing interior with outdoor seating in the front & rear gardens. Will definitely visit here again.

Kids free pub with great variety of beer, ales and cider. Would be great to have the option to visit it with the whole family even with the youngest ones

Oh the food ! Absolutely delicious for such a good price . We had 3 starters and 1 main course for my friend and I and ate it tapas style - very tasty very fresh and for a small traditional pub very very good . Definitely would recommend.

Not much atmosphere. Felt like being in the committee room of a very dull golf club. Five ales on draught. Tried two of them and they were both very disappointing. The so-called golden ale was lifeless and watery. Not sure how they are listed in the good beer guide.

My principle joy in leaving reviews is to complain about minor pedantic flaws in my customer journey. To my horror the barstaff here left me with no pretext to offload digital bile: efficient, exceptionally friendly and bloody good at making a drink, Martha has left me with nothing to gripe about. A gem of a pub in a relative desert. I shall try not to return lest I experience more lack of disappointment. I hope the managers are proud of themselves for denying me one of my favourite displeasure. Ghastly.

First visit to the Park Tavern but definitely won't be our last. Good service, good food, good prices. A lovely "old fashioned" style pub, which was lovely to see now adays. It seems to be run very well, with good landlords and staff, and respected and enjoyed by the locals. Plus it was very clean, a real bonus.

I've lived in Eltham for a few decades and finally got around to my first visit to The Park Tavern. I should have made this decision many years ago as this is a fine traditional pub. Friendly, efficient service with a great range of beers. We ate lunch which again was very good; Malaysian Chicken Curry and a homemade Steak and Ale pie. It is certainly a pub I'll be visiting in the future.

This pub is NOT family friendly as advertised! Wanted to have lunch but we’re sent out into the pouring rain as children are not allowed in this supposedly family friendly pub.

This pub is the most welcoming pub I've been in, it's my favourite!! The staff can't do enough for you, nothing is any bother & them atmosphere is so chilled, all the food on the menu I would eat my best meal in there is the chilli con carne wow!! But for a change yesterday I had the pork belly with bubble, all I can say is I'm totally tawn between the two it was lovely, I've been going there for years & never been disappointed.This is my first review for the tavern, should of done it along Time ago sorry guy's xx
