The best restaurants serving Mexican food in England

It used to be THE spot in Hitchin to grab some tacos and margaritas. Now it has a takeaway only feel with some techy kiosks. And we can't seem to find the tacos anymore... Whilst there, another couple came in, saw there was no tacos and left, so not sure if going this way was a wise financial decision either? Used to be the favourite restaurant in Hitchin, now to mourn for the loss. Hopefully it will return one day to its glory, and I can update this back to 5 stars.

Regularly come here for family meals, date nights and birthdays, have had lovely friendly service every time and the food is so good I can now state that Mexican is my favourite cuisine. The tacos are great and 3 for £14 you can’t say no. They’re very filling and there’s so many different tasty choices. Don’t miss on the starters either the wings are banging!

They’ve changed the chilli no carne recipe and it’s absolutely disgusting now. It tastes so artificial and cheap. Apparently they’ve done this with the chicken too. Such a shame as this used to be my favourite place! Also, the new contactless system takes away any of the human connection that made this place nice to visit and order from

Food was OK but missing items and really late coming for the second time. Never again, were meant to give me refund and have not yet. Avoid this place service is shocking

The food was delicious and Georgios, our waiter, was excellent!

Honestly not the biggest fan of Mexican food as it’s never my first choice but when because my friends really wanted to go. But I must say it was absolutely amazing, probably the best Mexican I’ve been in the country by a mile! I’m not from the town but would happily come back just to try different food items. Would highly recommend it!

The Hot Honey taco is incredible. So was the service… Fran is an absolute legend! Really pleasant and make the visit all the more enjoyable. Thanks, Fran! :)

Always a favourite. Arrived very late for a booking after horrible traffic. Despite it being very busy we were immediately found a table and the food and service, as always, was fantastic.
