Docking stars for removing the order and pay on your phone and now adding in a whopping "service" charge. You self serve your own sauce, cutlery and soft drinks! Shame.

The tacos were just ok. The brisket taco had that over cooked meat taste. Chicken was sauced with a slightly weird mint cream. Pork could have had more flavour. Slaw was bland (was expecting a vinegar slaw but was not that). Music was too loud.

So pleased to have come across DF Tacos for an early dinner. The food was phenomenal, and super filling! The service was also spectacular, and Sara helped brighten our first full day in London (after an extremely long, 2 day transit from Brisbane AUS).

This place transports me to Mexico. The beef tacos were so packed with flavour. The dirty churros are phenomenal. Slightly crunchy with a soft centre. Naturally friendly staff and great volume of music with some fitting songs! Great atmosphere! Not to mention we came straight here after the Mexican embassy. Fantastic! Gracias amigos

The food was not bad at all but service was very poor: nobody checked if we needed anything else or if the food was right/good, no tap water to the table - we had to bring it ourself (yes, soft drinks are refillable which is fine, but other tables who came in after us were given tap water + glasses from waiters), no server cleaned our plates until we asked for dessert, we got presented with the bill and card machine before our dessert arrived (it was not a mistake, the server was very weird about it and was Snapchatting on her phone)... Our table was made of hospitality people so service was not it. Will give it another go just for the food.

Had the buttermilk chicken taco & the fish taco which were both very good! Guacamole was not great and really had no flavor but lime! Had to practically flag someone down for another drink. I gave a low rating because they charged £4.25 service charge for one person which I think is absurd & lame Won’t be coming back

It was tasty and the food came quite fast! I like the food but as usual in the UK, tacos are expensive if you think about the portion.

So deliious in January that we returned in March. Tacos and Burritos were so yummy and satisfying - served promptly for before- theatre treat. All spot- on.

This place is seriously cavalier about allergens and handed me food that is not gluten free and yet is on a non gluten menu. Staff are not trained in allergens so despite flagging the importance several times, my health was not taken into consideration. I am now suffering the consequences. Not only this, the bill is not itemised, there is not a receipt so when told I was getting a refund for an item, I have no way of knowing if this is actually the case. I’m just trusting I’ve not been shafted again. I could go on as it went from bad to worse, but simply….if you have food allergies just don’t eat here.

Food comes as one, as you order via the table, other than being shown to your table, nothing more than a fast food joint, food is ok, but not worth the money. Won't hurry to re visit.

Comparing the portions and food provided, we felt the portions were quite small and expensive. There is no doubt that the quality of the food is good, but I feel that the same food could be purchased at lower.price

DF (De Efe) Tacos was a welcome relief in my journey to find authentic Mexican food in London. So far, it has been hard to find anything that resembles or tastes like the lovely authentic cuisine of Mexico and Mexican Americans. DF Tacos does a wonderful job of making shareable foods and we enjoyed the meat taco platter, which included 6 beef pork & chicken tacos (£25), guac & tortilla chips (£7), and churros (£5). The tacos were rich and flavorful, with the exception of the chicken which needed the salsa that was on it so as to not be so dry. The churros were delicious and reminded me of the flavors of churros in California. Here they come in small bite size nibbles. I would say def worth the fiver. The frozen marg was a bit disappointing. I was hoping for strong fruit flavor with a tequila bite but instead I got a bland slushy of ice and a nibble of alcohol. I want to try again as it may have just been an off day for drinks. Overall, I can definitely recommend trying DF Tacos. It's not a whole in the wall, mom and pop Mexican restaurant, but rather a trendy, yummy one whose flavors will bring you closer to those authentic Mexican flavors you wish you had more of.

Tacos are a bit on the small side but totally delicious. Staff are super helpful and friendly.

Seen this a few times and was looking forward to visiting, order off an app which is good, very quiet so not much atmosphere (3pm) food came out quickly, was very wet filling and messy, the taste was disappointing not a lot of flavour, the chili fries are poor the cheesy fries were nice. I expected a better experience 5 out of 10

The chips were done differently than normal and quite unique to this place. I will definitely come back again in the future, and I recommend this healthy Mexican option fast food place.

There’s nothing ‘mexican’ about their food. It’s more of a mixture of mexican cuisine with tex-mex. The horchata water was the best thing. But the nachos were soggy, and the tacos lacked flavour and had cabbage and carrot in them (!!?). Wouldn’t recommend for authentic mexican food

Awwrsome place for people with celiacs disease! Once I told them the chefs were sent to the kitchen to clean everything before preparing my food. Most items can be made gluten free, and it was delicious! Highly recommend it!

Order over the phone even though there is very little network, very few explanations. Good food but spicy. Remove dishes and plates before they are finished.

We stopped by DF Tacos TCR last Saturday evening, and would definitely recommend. The food was good value and flavourful, from mains to sides (including zingy-fresh guacamole and rich queso dip) and a variety of salsas, and the space was both airy and nicely buzzy, with big groups of friends and family diners alike. Particular credit goes to the excellent service throughout - a big thanks to Riccardo for being so warmly welcoming, smart and helpful (with both allergy queries and kids' menu requests), as well as Ken and Lila - the whole team's brilliant customer service would definitely encourage us to return!

Absolutely lovely food! Ivan was incredible, such a lovely server and he brought over this free delicious churro dish as a birthday treat with a candle !! Such a lovely experience! The fish tacos and berry margarita were my faves <3 will deffo be returning (especially with the 20% student discount!!)

Came here on a Monday for a bite with friends and loved this place! Turned up with no reservation at 6pm and was pleased to see that they have a promotion through January (tacos + fries for £10) - I ordered the Sweet and Smokey chicken tacos with hibiscus and smokey chipotle. So delicious! The serving size was generous, and the service was good, with plenty of vegetarian options!

I rarely write reviews but had to make an exception for this one. i visited df tacos in tottenham court road for a quick lunch the other day. was greeted warmly by a guy with tattoos (think his name was ken if i remember correctly) he asked if i had any allergies and told him i was allergic to seafood. he explained about the way they made their food and double check with the back to make sure i was going to eat safe and allergen free. i work in hospitality too and was really impressed with his customer service from beginning to end. i asked if he wanted to come work for me but he said he likes it there 😊 will definitely come back and bring some colleagues so they know what customer service should be like. well done!!!!

Our first visit to DF Taco and I have to say the food was absolutely amazing !! Fresh, hot and delicious tacos and burritos. The concept is a simple fast food restaurant set up. Would highly recommend this place ! The chicken taco and chicken burrito are so good.

It was an OK place, I liked the food but things like not having any chocolate sauce for the churros was a bit weird. But the quite unacceptable part of the experience was that the rustic bench we were sat on had a screw sticking out out of it which snagged repeatedly on my sons new jumper, ruining it. It is very poor form to open to the public if the conditions aren't safe.

I was in the area and wanted something to eat that would not break the bank so decided to try DF Tacos. I went in and the chap showed me to a seat and said that rather than someone coming to take my order I would have to order via a QR code. I do not have this feature on my phone so he said I could go to the counter and order. Personally I prefer this as I like human interactions. Also if you did order via the QR code and there were different people wanting to pay would you be able to split the bill for what everyone had? It did not take long for my food to be ready but the waitress took the food to the wrong table and had to be directed to place it in front of me. I said thank you to her but she just smiled nervously. The food was really good. I had a cauliflower rice bowl and this was washed down with a bottomless coke zero. Like I say I am a person who enjoys interacting with people and I feel some of the things this restaurant does wants to limit this but the food was tasty.

Went in here on a busy Saturday afternoon and there was loads of space as it was slightly tucked away. Ordered the tacos and burritos with a portion of chips and the portion sizes were huge - thank goodness I was starving! Food was tasty and the staff polite. Food all came at a different time, which was fine, but I would have preferred it all came together as I started eating mine whilst my mum had to wait

Food was ok, but service was quite inexistent. Not sure why we need to pay service charge when waiters are not even bringing us tap water.

Really slow. Issues with the order.... No one told us that one of the chicken tacos is not available. We had to reorder. The food is served really slow. I am disappointed a little. The food was good at least!

Good place to eat. This place has variety on the menu and is near the British museum. I ordered tacos of cochinita pibil and tacos of cheesey cauliflower, and they were delicious!

I normally don't dish out the negatives but this was one crossed the line. The moment you enter, there is no real sense of customer service, just scan codes and get your order, everything else was self service. The food and atmosphere were ok, but service let it down hard. The manner in which some not all our waiters served us, was as if they skipped jail time and we're doing community service.

The tacos seemed to lack flavour - both the chicken and beef ones. The nachos were good, but we came for tacos and it was just ok. The ones at their Shoreditch spot were way better a few months back.

Nach anfänglicher Begeisterung waren wir schnell von den bestellten Tacos enttäuscht. Tacos mit Rotkohl? In Mexiko habe ich solche Tacos noch nie kennengelernt. Sie waren nicht mehr als das, was man von typischen Systemgastronomieläden erwartet. Die Mitarbeiter des Restaurants waren jedoch sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Visited DF Tacos for a quick bite and was impressed. The crispy chicken taco was a standout with a burst of flavors, while the cup of corn was perfectly spiced. The cheesy crinkle cut fries were a delightful side. Service was prompt and staff were friendly. Great spot for authentic Mexican flavours. Highly recommend!

Affreux A éviter, goût tellement industriel, même si on ne s attend pas à quelque chose d incroyable, je n ai pas pu manger mon assiette, appétit coupé par ces goûts Affreux. En plus on doit aller sur internet pour commander.....mais où va notre monde ? Les gens sont face à nous et on passe par le téléphone.....je suis trop rétro pour cette société peut être.... Seul point positif, la serveuse sympa et un endroit pour se caler hors de la pluie

If you love mexican food and are near Tottenham Court Road I must advice you to try DF Tacos. Great atmosphere, delicious food and service is quick and everyone was super nice. We went for early dinner on mid week and it was practically full but everything went perfect! In less than one hour we were done! Ordering is quite easy as you will use the QR code on the table and you pay right away. No worry I can still order your dessert to be delivered to the table later. My first tip: try the frozen margaritas! Wow, I tried the passion fruit one and really like it. My second tip: queso & tortilla chips are really great, the sauce came warm and it was absolutely what I neeed! My last tip: order one of the rice bowls! It’s the the best option you don’t want to spend a lot of money and just order one dish (£11.25) and it’s a really comforting dish and with delicious ingredients. We tried the beef brisket and the meat is super tender and flavorful. I had the beef brisket tacos and the chicken buttermilk too. Although I loved the beef brisket itself the chicken tacos are the BEST!! I would have eaten one more! After this we shared some churros with dulce de leche and it was the perfect way to end a great meal for a great price!

One of my favourite places to eat in London. I’m a big fan of Mexican and street food, and this place delivers a great balance of both in a really cool and comfortable setting. Staff are super friendly, order to table directly from the app and (most importantly) it’s FAIRLY PRICED! In London… just let that sink in. I always order the tacos, they are incredible and very filling, they arrived in about 10 minutes piping hot and are always delicious. Very fresh tasting food, that has that street market vibe to it. Everything is made there and then, and there’s great facilities and comfy seating. I love this place. Give it a go.

This was our first visit to this restaurant which we stumbled upon when walking along Tottenham Court rd. the food was delicious and reasonably priced, not above that was the service. From the moment we arrived the staff were so friendly and were so wonderful with my daughter they were attentive so helpful and honestly one of the best service experiences I have had in a long time. We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend this place to families with young children. I didn’t take the staff members name but we visited on Friday 20th October at around 12.30pm.

Great place for a quick bite, the chicken tacos were full of flavour and just the right amount of spice. Also had the waffle chips - delicious! Would definitely come back for more. Really quick service and reasonably priced.

Thought I'd give this a try as it's new and I like Tacos. The experience is very much like Nandos, without the tasty chicken. There's an all you can drink coke machine, you pick your own sauce bottles and cutlery. So far so average. The tacos are unadventurous and pretty tasteless. I ordered the steak burrito and my partner the pulled pork. They stuck the wrong food flag in the orders and I ended.up with the pulled pork and my partner the steak. I assumed when they said steak, they meant pulled beef, which is why it tasted so similar to every other buritto. They replaced the steak for the pulled pork, but also extra cheese was ordered, it was very short on cheese and sour cream. It was average. My partner ordered guacamole but that failed to arrive. The meal was free and I got a free churro dessert, so I can't complain. But if this was designed for a pleasent experience, rather than a place to feed when desperate, you'll be disappointed. If you want nachos, there are far better places to go.

Not the best place 0 service QR code based they will make that very clear. Place had a damp smell and certain members of staff didn’t have great hygiene and no uniform. Damp smell probably came from the dirty bags of laundry or whatever this is in the pictures or the dirty sinks. Overall cannot fault the food although staff will leave it on the hot place ready to be served and talk over it to kitchen staff which is not ideal to have people breathing all over your food. Location is close to Tottenham Court Road station and London's Dominion Theatre so is perfect for a quick bite beforehand.

Not quite the real deal - I’m from Texas - but it’s the best taco you can get at a decent price in London. El Pastor is the other but their consistency is horrible and DF does it well every time - for half the price. Do wish they did an al pastor, but the brisket is good, but be sure to use salsa.

Staff didn’t seem to enjoy their job and interacting with the customers in any meaningful or memorable way. Ordering process very impersonal. Decor was nice. The beef and pork tacos were nice but the chicken taco tasted of fish, like it had been cooked in the same pan. The fruit juices were nice. I will be honest, we went for lunch earlier that day at Taco Bell and the service, food and all round experience was a much better value and more importantly a more flavoursome and memorable experience.

Won't be going here again. My work team and I brought a client here for what was meant to be a quick informal lunch, 5 of us in total. We ate in and ordered online using the QR code on the table. 2 dishes arrived within 5 mins. It then took another 15 mins or so for one more dish to arrive. Then we had 3 wrong items brought to the table by a disinterested and unenthusiastic waiter who kept mumbling the incorrect items' names incoherently. More than 30 mins after the first dish arrived we were told our client's order had been missed and we'd have to wait another 6-7 mins for it to be made. More than 10 mins after that it finally arrived, long after the rest of us had finished our food. I spoke to the manager and all she offered was a free drink. When I asked for money off the bill due to the unacceptable service she said 'I don't have any money to give you'. Add to that, we bought 4 of the bottomless soda self service drinks and then discovered the main soft drink machine was out of order - no one mentioned this to us before ordering. Really poor and unacceptable service and I definitely will not be coming back.

So happy this place is open again after lockdown! I have become veggie since before our last time here and was worried I wouldn't enjoy the veggie tacos as much as the steak and cheese (a MUST for any non-veggies) or buttermilk chicken, but oh my! The cauliflower tacos were so delicious! Now I'm looking forward to being back and trying the other veggie options they have!!

Overall this a great little place. The vibe is central Mexico decided to stop by London. I had the pork pibil tacos and they were great. I also had the side of corn and it was good as well. Why only 4 stars? Glad you asked. They only serve frozen margaritas and that was a disappointment for me. I also would love to be able to have corn tortillas as I am not overly fond of flour tortillas but that is just me. If I could have gotten a margarita on the rocks I would have rated this place with six stars. And yes, I asked. Anyway try this place. If you like Mexican street food you will not be disappointed.

Das Restaurant stellt Tacos, Burritos, Nachos & viele natürliche Getränke zur Verfügung. Das Ambiente besitzt mit seiner hohen Decke auch eine auch im Sonmer angenehme Temperatur. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und entspannt genauso wie die Stimmung im Restaurant. Bezahlt wird nur mit Karte und nach Belieben auch vom Tisch mit seinem Handy aus. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Ho scelto il locale per il menù. Proponeva tacos senza glutine e una parte di questi, anche senza contaminazioni. Il menù è veramente limitato, ho preso quello con ripieno di formaggio, cavolfiore e altro. Certamente senza glutine perché non sono stata male, ma qualità del prodotto bassa. Tavoli, pavimenti e bagni sullo standard londinese, poco pulito e costo non economico.
