Decimo in Camden

Great cocktails and brilliant service from Angie at the bar on Saturday night. Took time to explain the menu and answer our questions.

Unwelcoming and uncaring staff. After arriving for my partners birthday, we found a quiet comfy corner… within 5 minutes we were moved to a cramped uncomfortable busy area by the bar as were not allowed to sit here despite this area being totally open and not booked for hours. they said we have found a “cozy corner for you” by the bar, after arriving this was clearly not the case! our drink orders never turned up after 30 minutes of waiting, the staff didn’t acknowledge this, we decided to leave to go to the bar downstairs and again, multiple staff were rude to us upon leaving. Every opportunity the staff had to make us welcome they didn’t take and we felt like intruders rather than guests. Very disappointed in Décimo, it’s all style and no substance.

Oh Decimo!! We had such high hopes. Saw you glowing from afar, atop The Standard, in the rain. Read the reviews and counted down. Can honestly say we haven’t seen such disparity between the presentation of a restaurant and the absolutely miserable experience in a long long time in London. Starting with 20 minute delay to seat us after our reservation. No offer to sit at a bar. Lots of chaos at the front. Once sat, it then took another 20 minutes to catch a waiter’s eye. This waiter in question was just standing looking back. That resulted in a drink order. No water offered. 20 more minutes passed. We’re now 1 hour into our time… no drinks arrived, no water, no food order taken. I saw someone that looked like she was organizing the crew that night. I approached her and indicated I thought maybe our table fell through the cracks. She was responsive and lovely (as she was the next two times I spoke to her). This got us water, and our drinks arrived. Still no food order; that was eventually taken 1h 20m in. What made us laugh was we were told at the head of the night we had only two hours at our table before we had to give it up. Our sober friend ordered a non-alcoholic drink, it arrived full of tequila. Mid-way through asked for a water refill for the table FOUR times before someone took pity and quenched us (once again the wait-manager to the rescue). The evening was a friend’s 50th birthday celebration, which just compounded the downer vibes. The olives arrived and half were pitted and the other half pits removed - was a lottery. Ordered a £47 tequila flight with no discernible way to know which glass belonged to which tequila. Some good: The food was tasty when it arrived 2 hours in but was poorly presented, we were apologized to several times through the night, the bathrooms are uniquely impressive, they removed the service and starters from the bill. Really want to think our experience was an anomaly, but seeing how much mis-communication and confused staff were wandering by us all night, I can’t help think there is just a huge disconnect between the aim head chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias; and execution of the day-to-day. In the end it really feels like Decimo has fallen by the same adage; the more beautiful and well situated a restaurant, the worse the experience… they will suck you in with the glowing rooftop and trapped hotel guests, and don’t need word of mouth. Too bad.

I met two amazing members of staff! First Thandie - it was a walk in so we were unable to get a table in the main restaurant, however she was so polite and did everything she could to get us a comfortable seat at the bar and positioned us perfectly to get a view of the skyline We were then passed on to Ludo, who was extremely charming and attentive. It was out first time to the restaurant and he made sure to recommend the best items on the menu - which we thoroughly enjoyed Amazing service, atmosphere and food!

The restaurant has a great view and atmosphere, and the service was good. I had lunch, and ordered the Hamachi ceviche and a Tuna tostada for starters. The thinly sliced Hamachi was nice, and the tostada was ok, but none of them was excellent. For main I ordered the the Monkfish and a side of patatas bravas. The piece of fish looked like leftovers from some other diner's plate (see photo). It was really small for its price of £28. The patatas were excellent, and came as a very large portion, but I would expect to eat more than potatos at a Michellen star restaurant. The margarita I had was also excellent with a touch of spiciness. Overall, it's a nice place if you'd like to impress someone, but the food is not too exciting for its price.

Very beautiful place with a great view! The food was very tasty but the portions were tiny especially for the price we’ve paid. I was disappointed especially with my main dish, I’ve ordered the scallop and I’ve received one piece, very tasty but again ONE piece and I paid 18£. I don’t understand how one piece of scallop can be classified as a main dish.

Visited for date night, great food and ambience! Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We were served by Eliza who was very knowledgeable about the menu items and super friendly. Would definitely visit again

Over 3 hrs and still no desert. Worst service I experienced in London (and in general) for many many years. Waiters super rude, and useless. If you want an insgramable place, maybe, if you want good food and good time, go anywhere else. Definitely not worth a visit and not worth the money.

Had the most wonderful dinner here with my sisters, the food and service was incredible, and we were so looked after by Ellie. She had wonderful recommendations and was super friendly. Loved every minute of this anniversary dinner.

I usually have a very hard time ordering at restaurants having Ulcerative Colitis. However the staff and specifically our waitress Kelly made my experience very easy and carefree. I usually get very weird responses to my very specific dietary restrictions, however Kelly greeted them with kindness and made sure that they were to my restrictions. Thank you for the wonderful night

The welcoming and energy level was so positive by, Anna and Tyrese at the bar, I came in every night I stayed at the hotel. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, I can’t wait to be back, with friends and family! Thank you all again for a fantastic vacation stay!!

We had booked a table for 9 pm. Finally at the table at 9.20pm. Food was ordered, at 10.10 pm still no food. Table next to ours came later, got food within a short period of time. No service unfortunately. Thus, left the restaurant hungry and without food.

Fabulous view of St Pancras. Set menu is delicious. Service impeccable. A touch too dim lighting wise and music was a bit loud for conversation.

La comida estaba bien, aunque caro. Pero ten cuidado con una vuelta de mesa muy estricta. Fuimos expulsados de nuestra mesa después de 1 h 50 m para que pudieran darle la vuelta. No hay margen de maniobra. Entonces no me impresionó mucho que la mesa no estuviera llena 25 minutos después cuando salimos de la zona del bar. No me sentí remotamente valorado o bienvenido. Un montón de aire caliente del maitre d sobre cómo los restaurantes tenían que hacer eso - todo bastante hueco cuando nadie tomó nuestros asientos. Perdieron nuestro pedido de postres, vino de postre y la mitad de la “propina” excesiva que deduje. No se apresurará a volver y no recomendaría si desea tomar su tiempo para su comida de cien libras por cabeza. Al menos.

Food was absolutely amazing, so delicious, I could eat everything all over again. Service was lovely, a bit of a wait for the mains but it was a busy Saturday so nothing unexpected. Really enjoyed the vibe and definitely would visit again.

We might come back for a drink, but the insanely overpriced tiny plates of food were just ridiculous. Although the food quality and taste was good. A restaurant is meant to feed the customers. After paying over £300 for a table of 4 people, the least you could expect is to be filled with food. Not the case at Decimo. The service was ok. But for this price you expect to have higher quality service. The waiter seemed not to be too sure about what the menu was, as we asked many questions and she had to read the paper. Overall, a highly overpriced restaurant that is being overhyped on Instagram. Not quite worth it.

I just wanted to congratulate your bartender Paul, because he has been the most accommodating, pleasant, patient and amazing bartender tonight! El servicio fue deplorable y tratamos de pedir dos vinos diferentes de la lista y ambos estaban agotados. Como en muchos restaurantes y esta es una de las peores 5 comidas que he tenido. Era tan malo en tantos niveles que al final solo tenías que reírte. Londres tiene tantos restaurantes excelentes que definitivamente no es uno de ellos HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!

We had a lovely dinner here last night. Breathtaking views over Kings across in the lift on the way to the restaurant. We felt completely looked after by Ellie throughout the whole evening who went beyond to give us excellent service. The food and atmosphere were also brilliant.

What can I say about Decimo. It just delivers time and time again. The tacos and tostadas, and of course the margaritas never fail to impress! Staff always go that extra mile. I just love it! Keep that shit up!!

Epic fail - listen to the reviews! The glass lift up to the restaurant is a thrilling view of Saint Pancras hotel and across Kings Cross. The entrance is warm and enticing with a beautiful display of cacti and seems very promising. The view from our table was a stunning panorama of night time London with illuminated St Paul’s Cathedral and London eye. The floor to ceiling glass walled toilets are a real talking point. It all promised of a sumptuous night out. Unfortunately this was where the charm ended. It took a very long time to get our drinks repeatedly and one of our party was bought the wrong drink, including grapefruit that interacted with her medication and she had requested not to have it . We booked at an early evening time as we were looking for a relatively early meal as one of our party is in recovery from cancer. This was not achieved she was left feeling shaky with hunger watching others eat their starters while her simple guacamole never arrived. The food came and dribs and drabs and we were left very hungry for a very long period of time. When the food finally came it was uninspiring, bland, poorly presented and the only thing that was hot and tasty were the potatas bravas. The vegetables were small portions on big white plates that accentuated how small and uninspiring they were and couldn’t fit on the table. I suggest the food would have looked much better presented on terracotta or earthy coloured crockery. My main course dish came a full 20 minutes after all of the rest of the food. Too few wait staff for a restaurant at this price point left dinners feeling neglected and crockery glasses not cleared efficiently. Our waitress on the night was polite, charming and doing the best she could in the situation and apologised. It was obvious that there was much more than one person could do. The peach sorbet did not taste of peach and was not a refreshing fruity cleanse of the pallet that I was hoping for, but tasted strange, bitter and was left uneaten. Absolute worst was somehow a bottle of wine that had a similar sounding name but cost over £100 more had been slipped onto the bill that we hadn’t had. When pointed out to our waitress she revealed this mistake had happened before. I’m hoping this was sloppy negligence, but I suggest if you go to this restaurant you check your bill in detail! When picking up our coats my friend handed his numbered card was given the wrong coat on a hanger with a different number. His was a rather special coat. Let’s just say it was another reflection of poor attention to detail! The price point of the food was not reflected in the efficiency or quality of the kitchen and was undeserving. Your head chef will run your business into the ground, he did not show he is up to the job last night. At this price point your bar and front of house need to be running more efficiently. The place looks beautiful and has promise but your hiring is not working! Step up your game! We’d like to return.

The atmosphere and views are breathtaking, however this restaurant is very much form over substance. The monkfish was very salty, we asked for dry wine but were served a fruity / sweet wine (it was still good, but not what we asked), some of the dishes had simply been forgotten, and a number of the dishes were sadly very bland (the tortillas and fried potatoes). The service was also very slow and everything took a very long time. Sadly this looks to be more of a hype place rather than a good restaurant. At this (very) expensive price tag, the food should have been without reproach.

We had a horrible experience yesterday especially with the service. On arrival no cloakroom service offered. We were waiting at the bar for our already booked table for 20 min and when asked they said they had given the table to someone else. We kept waiting and a waiter said to go with her to the table but she left us standing in the middle of restaurant for 10 min. At that point we complained to the manager and he sat us after a while. It took them about 1 hour to take the order. They didn’t even change our plates when the main course came. The table besides us also complained about a 1h waiting. We wouldn’t recommend the restaurant.

We came here on a Saturday night and were blown away by the experience. The food and drinks were outstanding, and the decor and views are some of the best in London. A particular mention has to go to the service by Josh, which was attentive, friendly and professional. We'll definitely come back when we're next in London, as there's so much more of the menu still to try!

I will not waste much more time on this establishment so I’ll be brief: One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Rude staff (collectively!), the tiniest portion of fish you’d ever imagine. A restaurant that relies on London views and it stops there. Avoid

This place is consistently great, warm professional service without being overbearing. Delicious food that is perfectly cooked and amazing cocktails and wine list. The views are fantastic and there’s a great bar on the same level for a drink afterwards. Thanks team Decimo!

Absolutely brilliant atmosphere and stunning food! The service is always warm and professional while keeping everything fun and friendly. The wine list and cocktails are excellent too, as is the view of the entire London skyline. Definitely have the tortilla - it’s one of the tastiest things I’ve ever tried.

One of my favourite London eateries. The location is super glamorous and the food always fantastic. The guacamole and the tortilla are two of my favourite dishes in the whole of London. The staff are always super attentive as well. Can’t recommend this place enough:)

My recent visit to this restaurant was unfortunately a disappointment in many respects. I had decided to order three ribs, but the waiter, to my great disappointment, informed me that they were sold out and tried to convince me to take some fillets, the price of which was decidedly higher. After expressing our dissatisfaction, the waiter miraculously "found" the ribs and proceeded to order these steaks. However, the wait was exhausting: a good two hours before they arrived at the table, and on top of that they were cold. The entire management was not very transparent and it almost seems like there was an attempt to make us take a more expensive dish from the beginning. It is not acceptable that first they tell me that a dish is not available, then that it magically is, and finally that it arrives in terrible condition. I felt cheated and, given a similar experience, I can't help but advise against this place. Such poor and unprofessional service is absolutely not worth the price you pay. I definitely won't be back.

Very nice setting, beautiful view, Grear decor. Staff very friendly. Unfortunately the food took an hour to arrive. When it arrived it was barely warm. Chicken, green salad and patatas bravas, So underwhelming. Beers weren't cold, despite me asking. A nice spot, I just wouldn't go there to eat.

Terrible service we waited 2 hours before having dinner

I had a reservation at 930. I finally got served my (expensive) food at 1042. Server failed to mention that ordering the pork gets you just that and only that: pork. So now I've waited 1 hr for .... A mediocre pork chop. One, furthermore, that was 25% unrendered fat.

Gorgeous setting, but the pretentious Mexican fusion misses the essence of authentic Mexican flavors. The guacamole portion was so small you couldn’t even dip – it required a tiny spoon to eat. Nothing stood out, and the service was terrible. To make matters worse, their Micheladas, a famous Mexican beer cocktail, didn’t even have real beer, completely ruining the experience. The whole concept felt overpriced, like someone went to Mexico once and tried to recreate it from Instagram.

Came in to the bar as it’s one of my favourite bars in London and tried the honey and saffron amaretto sours, absolutely fantastic!!! Shy was looking after us and did such a fantastic job, made us feel so welcomed and was so attentive. We can’t wait to come back again. ❤️

Design, views and location are excellent Food is fresh, but not inspiring Service is slow, disorganised and staff need Michelin level training (15 minutes after arrival our waiter appeared, 3 wines we ordered were out of stock, replenishing of glasses very slow). I was recommended this restaurant for my friend's birthday celebration. After reading recent reviews I was worried it would be a disaster. I was wrong to worry. We had a fabulous time. The door staff were welcoming and friendly. The restaurant staff (all very beautiful, I may add), were attentive, friendly and knew the menu. When being seated they acted on a comment my friend made about the gorgeous view and seated us at a table that overlooked the London skyline so we could watch the sunset over dinner. Initially a little slow to take our order, but after that, the service was amazing. We were too full to order dessert after eating so much delicious food and cocktails (yes pricey, but was very well cooked and you couldn't put a price on the view), when we asked for the bill, our wonderful waitress came over with a lit candle to wish my friend a happy birthday. She said they were gutted we didn't want a dessert because they were going to give her a complimentary dessert with candle but didn't want to let her leave without being able to make a birthday wish. Such a nice touch. All the staff we spoke to wished her a happy birthday. We can't wait to come back. Thank you!

What a disaster, not sure where to start. The bottle of wine we wanted, they didn’t have. Ok fine, that can happen. We then start ordering. The beef filet? Don’t have. The beef rib? Don’t have. How can you run out of the highlights of your menu on a Friday night, presumably one of your biggest nights? Our last order of food took so long that we inquired again. Turns out they “lost the ticket” and the kitchen was now closed. The service is super haphazard, like it’s run by amateurs. The food (what they did have), to be fair, was rather good, if a tad ridiculously priced, but that is usual in London.

This place is so cool, but the service for drinks is appalling. I always used to head here but it’s happened the last 3 times I’ve been now so I’ve finished.

Our experience at this "fancy" hotel restaurant was nothing short of a disaster. Called in to check if they are kids friendly, We then made a reservation (with credit card info given to them) for *three adults and two kids*, specifying that we needed *two high chairs*. Upon arrival, we were shocked to be seated at a *tiny table fit for four people*, with *no high chairs* in sight. When we politely asked for a different table, the staff’s attitude completely changed—*their faces turned green* and they rudely claimed that we had only reserved for four people. After some back-and-forth, they finally moved us to a *far corner* of the restaurant, where we were *completely ignored* for 15 minutes before anyone bothered to take our order. By this point, we were so frustrated and turned off by the staff’s rudeness that we decided to order less (than we wanted) The cherry on top? The staff seemed annoyed and gave us *nasty looks* for not ordering "enough" expensive items. The complete *lack of respect, communication, and basic hospitality* from the senior staff was appalling. This place may look fancy, but the service was far from it. Would not recommend. To be fair, food and environment okay. Limited effort on dessert options.

Do not use this venue for an event, we had 16 guests which meant we had to have a set menu, we were served food that would not have fed half the people there for example a sweet potato between 5 people, 1 tiny portion of cod again to be split between 4 which was not physically possible! I was so embarrassed I left the table to say please bring more food happy to pay more only to come back to the table to see it being cleared away. My guests all went home hungry and disappointed. When I spoke to someone at the end of the evening I was told “sorry about that and given the bill” they really didn’t care.

Most of the best dishes where finished Music soo loud we couldnt speak Food arrived randomly & late Waiter was super sweet tho When we arrived they checked our outfit & said it was for fashion week.. like we didnt belong

Service : - Very slow. - Not adequate guidence on what how much we should order per person. - Teas arrived, 10 min later cappucino, our decaf espressos never arrived. We had to find someone and ask as to what happened. Atmosphere: - Very nice decor. Yet music too loud to hold a conversation. Food: - Amazing scallops. - Tomatoes ok. - Batatas Bravas good.

Very nice atmosphere however although we have ordered quite number of stuff, it was not nice for waiter to come and ask for 5 times if we needed anything else.

Firstly, incredible views t night. We did not eat, but the food looked amazing. Small but good selection of wines, not the cheapest but worth it. Great service too.

Staff are lovely, food is amazing, and they do their best to be inclusive and respectful of beyond binary folk or non-binary folk. There's one lady who I really like and she remembers me already. Hopefully they fix the capsule elevator/lift soon enough! Hope to use it!

Used to love it here, the decor is superb of course and the views across London are breathtaking. But the food is overpriced with zero justification. The service started out great but then disappeared: our plates weren't cleared and we had to ask for the desert menu and it took so long we just asked for the bill. The stinger was being told the £56 service charge goes to the hotel and not the waiters, so I added another £20 "gratuity" but this means £76 went on what, exactly? The music was well chosen but way too loud for a restaurant. Such a shame as this would have continued to be a great destination but there are much better places elsewhere. My two stars are for the maitre D and the decor.

Awful. I have never left a bad review before but honestly this was the worst. If I could give 0 I would. The “manager” had a chip on her shoulder and was the rudest women I’ve ever spoken to. It’s a shame because the waitress was so sweet and I think slightly embarrassed. Such a shame

I really wanted to love this place. The decor is lovely and it's a great spot. But the food was wildly overpriced and pretty average tapas. The music was also horribly loud and I couldn't think and we were shouting to talk and it made me want to get out of there asap. It was ok at best.

Must go! Amazing view & decoration

Lovely ambiance and restaurant space. Large but feels reasonably intimate. Cool deco and the best toilets in Lodon with floor to ceiling glass. Great staff..friendly but not too so. - Good balance. Cocktails were OK although my jalopeno cocktail was bit watery and not peppery enough. We selected about 9 dishes between two of us... All were superb, delicious, smokey, crunchy, citrusy..... The tortilla was amazing as were the carabineros ceviche style (but at £37 for a couple of prawns was very pricy even though they cost retail around £7 each). Iberian pork was pink, fatty, iunctios and mouth wateringly good. Hispi cabbage excellent and the leek cooked and served (Catalan) Calçot style with romesco sauce lovely. Nice carafe of wine was £42. Only criticism - needed some free bread to soak up the sauces. Expensive. Without alcohol our bill for two - without overeating at all - was £250...but I would go back.

A great combination of Spanish food with a Mexican touch to try. The location, spectacular if you ask for near the window that overlooks the San Pancracio train station!!! Wonderful attention!!!

I arrived to decimo with a reservation, it wasn’t ready at the time of the arrival but it didn’t take no more than 2 mins to get our table so absolutely fine. Service wasn’t too knot as they forgot my water and I kindly asked another server, she apologised so again everything solved with a warm smile. Our waitress was super helpful and knowledgeable even tho, we did ask a lot of questions regarding the plates as this is a fusion of spanish and Peruvian cuisine. Food was nice, it wasn’t utterly delicious for the price that you pay. But I guess the views are what you’re actually paying for. I was given the bill after a few hours of my reservation due the restaurant having an event scheduled and also, they did move my reservation 1h 30 mins earlier than booked. For the price I was paying I wasn’t expecting to be told to leave in such a prompt way. I did say at the time of the booking in notes that it was my partners birthday. They didn’t do anything about it, I personally have worked in not such a high end places and I have provided with any birthday treat, or even just singing. Would I come back? No Was it a good experience? My waitress made it a good experience. Is it worth the hype of the place? Considering you are paying very high prices for not such an awesome food, not it isn’t. Thank you to my waitress. She was dark long haired girl, very very sweet.

Great atmosphere but extremely overpriced for what it is. You are definitely just paying for the location and the ambience of the restaurant itself. The food was alright but definitely not worth it for the miniature plates that they give you. You will walk out of this place paying over £60 and still feel hungry. The staff were great tho.

Amazing atmosphere and staff. Food and drinks are fresh and flavorful. Amazing spot in London for a fun dinner with a great vibe. Try the jalapeño scallops and any of the beef dishes. Sweet potato tacos were surprisingly good as well. A bit on the expensive side for what it is but we enjoyed our time here and would return

My partner booked this place for my birthday yesterday. We had wanted to go since seeing it on Masterchef. Summery Great food Overpriced Front of house staff ruined the evening We arrived on time and upon entering the restaurant, I received the coldest reception I've ever had : I was nicely dressed and was wearing shorts. It's summer after all. Upon seeing this the guy at reception first said he was very sorry but they couldn't let us in as I was wearing shorts and it was against the restaurant policy. The hair on the back of my head went up immediately. He then asked if we were guests of the hotel as apparently they're allowed. This makes no sense to me. Why let your guests in and not others. I said to my partner let's go. But since we had put down a deposit we argued our case. Eventually they found us a table. As we were walking towards a table, a dad and his son, both in shorts, were let in without an issue. This was humiliating. No-one told us about this stupid policy and there was nothing stated as such in the booking confirmation or their website. You only get one chance to create a first impression. Anyway we decided to try and not let it ruin the night. The restaurant looks good, the atmosphere lacks authenticity of a Mexican eatery. The food and drinks were great. But in the end £360 for me and my partner, and with the reception we got? Not worth it. Let's put it that way, we won't go back

Excellent atmosphere, great selection of gluten free options and the food was outstanding. Great service, Max was really attentive. Will definitely be back!
