Wahaca in City of London, Westminster

Really busy Friday night before Christmas! Nader didn't stop working and smiling giving a great and attentive service! Try the mushroom quesadilla, is sooo yummy!

I've eaten in many Wahaca restaurants over the years, this is the worst one for service. The food is, as always, excellent. Sadly this branch is understaffed and overcrowded, leading to awful service. The staff seemed v unhappy. The review forced me to give at least 1 star for service, I'd give 0 if it were possible. We were a group of 6 and were given a cramped, noisy table too close to the neighbouring table. To get to my seat I had to squeeze between the tables, avoiding a hanging light at shoulder height. Service was incredibly slow with big gaps in people receiving food. We were given 2 water glasses and 1 water bottle, the drinks we order didn't arrive til after several main dishes. A child's meal arrived very quickly and she'd finished eating by the time the final mains arrived. Some of the food wasn't hot, seems it had been sitting around a while. The kids wanted some churros, so we had to ask for these before the waiter brought any menus as they were getting v bored. After 20 minutes they still hadn't arrived so had to ask again. They never cleared the plates from the table so they had to eat dessert amid the dirty plates. The only efficient bit of service was asking for the bill, they expected me to immediately pay the full bill without checking it. As we were 2 families we wanted to split the bill. 12.5% service charge was added automatically, disgraceful given the standard of service.

We enjoyed our meal at Wahaca, Covent Garden this week. We had a homely Mexican dinner in the centre of London. We were vegetarian but there was a large vegetarian selection and lots of amazing dishes available to choose from. The nachos sharing platter was delicious, as was the cheese and bean quesadillas. We loved our meal and would highly recommend it to try for new tourists to London or any fans of authentic Mexican street food. There are many Wahaca branches around London.

George was friendly and great service

Not super traditional Mexican obviously, but still great tasting food, homemade tortilla chips and quality ingredients. Add in great service and it's a 5 for me.

Very atmospheric and tasty place. Service at the highest level! I recommend visiting in London. Abinal the waiter is super polite and helpful. 5 out of 5!

Food is usually good, service was not so good, considering it was a Wednesday and when we arrived ut was quite quiet, had to ask several times for the same thing.

I use to eat in these restaurant almost everyday, food and staff were amazing, I usually got serve by the guy with long blond hair, i believe his name was Nader. I cant wait to go back for a meal and a chat to such a friendly members of staff

We were on our last day in london and have walked past this restaurant a couple times on our way to and back from hotel. Atmosphere looks wonderful and we decided to give it a try tonight. To our surprise not only was the atmosphere fun and playful, food was also superb. We ordered the favourites for two, lots to eat and loved every dish. Ordered 2 drinks as well, passionfruit magarita was delicious. Our server Leah was also very friendly and bubbly. Definitely will recommend anyone who’s in the neighbourhood!!

Brilliant food, with great service and a really nice atmosphere. I recommend the beef burrito but the small plate dishes are all great as well.

Had a fantastic dinner at Wahaca Oxford Circus! The customer service was outstanding, and our waitress, Leah, was so friendly and attentive. When one dish arrived slightly overdone, it was replaced immediately with no fuss—great service. The ambiance was lovely, and the food was absolutely delicious, as always. Thank you

Loved very much! I reccomand the Ancho Mushrooms tacos, (still dreaming of them). The service was great! Bernie was very caring and sweet, making sure me and my family were alright ( we have severe allergies). The experience was amazing and I definitely will go back!

Love Wahaca, this is the first time in this restaurant. Staff are always friendly, food is wonderful….as are the mojitos! One of my favourite places to eat.

Me and my son love to come to Wahaca. He really enjoys the make your own tacos from the kids menu. But also will try everything from the normal menu. Always a great option for lunch on a day out

Absolutely wonderful restaurant lovely staff and an amazing variety of food. The service was spectacular especially from the manager Bradley. A shame I didn’t get to try the sea bass but definitely looking forward to coming back to try it. Honestly couldn’t recommend more!

Went in on a Tuesday evening and the atmosphere was great. Wasn’t too busy so we didn’t have to wait long to be served. I’m not very good at making decisions and choices so it’s really great that they have set menus(which helped a lot). We ordered the discovery menu for two (the favourites) which cost £25 each. It had 7 dishes; a mix of meat and veggies; which all tasted great. We loved how the salads and herbs all tasted so fresh! Our favourite dish was the Sweet Potato & Feta Taquito and we couldn’t believe how a vegetarian dish could turn out so tasty(considering we’re both “meat persons”)! The entire meal came to about £81; two fizzy drinks, the set meal, a dessert that we shared and a coffee after. The tiramisu was just average, but we would definitely recommend the set meal which was for £25/person.

Nader and Bradley was absolutely amazing 😁 couldn’t ask for better service very welcoming and the food was impeccable. Always seems to be better than the last time haha I will never stop going here 😁

Veggie nachos are the best I've ever had! As someone with an allergy, eating Mexican food can be tricky however they were very accommodating.

Nice to see Wahaca decorated for El día de los muertos. Love the new addition to the menu " the new pork pibil burrito"was delicious and very filling. Georgio's was like always very attentive and on top of things, is nice to see such good service. A great meal at fab place.

Very well decorated restaurant, the food is very good, the wahaca colada cocktail is addictive👌🏼 The waiter Jesus was super friendly and gave us great advice. The 4 of us left very satisfied 🙏🏼 (better to book)

Extremely noisy place!! 🤯🤯🤯 Food of bad/low quality. Our child had only 2 very smalls tortillas with a tiny amount of chicken. We had to stop at a nearby pizzeria for him because he was still hungry after that even If we already paid more than 140£ at Wahaca. A terrible representation of what could be Mexican cuisine. Only one good point : Our waitress was super nice and very professional.
