Hillbilly's Street Kitchen in Malvern Hills

Placed an order of £60, waited 30 minutes after delivery time, app said they were open, no delivery and the shop was shut when we went there. Very disappointed by that lack of service.

It didn’t arrive. Tried to call the restaurant several times and they didn’t answer.

We ordered in store. Really nice and polite staff, made our food quick and were super friendly. The burgers were amazing, tasty and juicy. We also loved the fries and the dips. Will definitely be back next time!!!

We went with high hopes to the mobile van at Malvern Winter Gardens but were sorely disappointed. The burgers were tiny and totally forgettable. The patty started life as a small, golf ball sized sphere which was squashed down to about 5mm thickness and slapped in a cheap brioche bun with some salad. Yours for £9.50. Wont be going back.

Disappointed. Food was lukewarm and a bit mangled, like a McDonalds comes out but at double the price of a McD.

we ordered last week and the ribs were awful. chewy, tough and pretty much inedible.. but chicken tender burger this week was great. hopefully the terrible ribs were a one off

Sadly this was far from ok, both burgers stone cold on delivery, dry and overcooked as well as stone cold. Chicken tenders also stone cold and hard as rock, clearly not fresh at all. Chips also soggy and cold on delivery. I understand Saturdays are busy but I live less than a 5 minute drive away and for £43 for 2 burgers, 1 chips and 1 portion of tenders you expect it to be at least fresh and warm

Awful service. Order was delivered 10 doors down, left on the doorstep. 30 minutes later, the neighbour called saying it was just left out there in the cold. We phoned and got the order picked up and redelivered, it was then left in our communal hallway without notifying us (we are in the top flat). In total the order was over 1 hour and 30 minutes late (left outside / in the hallway) and the food was ice cold. We feel we deserve compensation for this.

Outstanding food . Arrived hot and tbf we ordered 7 burgers and everyone said it was one of the best burgers that they have had .

Yet again we have been disappointed. When the restaurant first opened we found it fabulous and we returned. But after the first order we've found the quality has really gone downhill.. Sunday we ordered chicken tenders, katsu chicken fries and ribs. (4th time we've ordered from here now) 2 of those things were okay but the katsu fries were disgusting. I spat my portion out and my partner just ate his as he was starving but said they were super bland and not up to the standard they used to be. Everything else was not worth the price they were charging, a pub is cheaper and more reliable.

Really disappointed, we were looking forward to trying hillbilly’s but unfortunately we were really let down. The food was over an hour late which meant it was cold and the chips were dry. The food was closer to a kebab shop after a night out than a restaurant. Also when it was dropped off there was no apology for the lateness. I really would not recommend getting a delivery from here.

Update: Latest order, missing items again, but the food went downhill significantly - blandest mac and cheese and the wings tasted old. Not again. Original: I've ordered here a few times now, and the food is consistently delicious! The estimated times for delivery and pick up have not been accurate at all - usually approximately an hour late. There are no updates on the order on the website or via text. My drinks and blue cheese sauce have been missing from orders a few times as well. It's a shame about the long wait times because the food is quite good.

Visited Hillbilly's food truck at #thegrange Usk on 17th August. Had the Hank burger and loaded brisket fries, my partner had the Bean burger with parmesan and truffle fries. Food was delicious price was food truck prices. I don't normally eat burgers so for me to say it was delicious says a lot. Would definitely recommend and we would eat there again next time they are in Usk.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO BOOK HILLBILLYS FOR AN EVENT READ!! We booked Hillbilly's for a large event over the Aug bank holiday. They cancelled on us with 2 weeks notice and leaving us with 100+ppl to cater for at short notice!!! After we spent £££ on advertising them. No notice, just a call on a Sunday afternoon, Sorry, but not really sorry.

Food turned up over an hour late. When we initially phoned up after being notified our food had been delivered, having ordered through just eat. We were told our food was the next order out the door. 40 mins later we chased up to be told the same thing. When our order finally arrived items were missing and food was average.

Edit. In the past when this first opened I gave this place a 10/10 for burgers. I would order from here every Friday after work. Now this place has just gone bland. Burgers aren't juicy or flavourful, got very stingy on the fries and half of the time I've had items missing from the order. Everything feels rushed.

The food is really flavourful and unique and you can tell a lot of time goes into making them. My only gripe with them is that delivery time is consistently longer than expected generally to the point where you are prompted to call for an update. If their delivery speed was a little bit quicker they would easily bag a 4 and potentially a 5 star rating

Food hasn’t arrived yet. Rung restaurant after delivery time stated and they apologised and said it would be with us within 30mins (an hour and half after original stated time). But food still hasn’t arrived

Can't recommend this place enough! Great atmosphere and fantastic food again last night (ate in with other half). Manager is really friendly and was happy to make the tweaks we wanted to our order. Burgers were best we've ever eaten anywhere, really tasty. Love the chilled vibe and will definitely be back again soon!

Having ordered 2 x burgers and the buffalo wings that come blue cheese dip when the food arrived we had no sauce with the buffalo wings, when I asked about this we were told they had ran out of the blue cheese dip and we were not offered a replacement of the sauce nor were we told about you being out of stock of the cheese dip. I then asked if we could get another sauce to go with the buffalo wings and asked for a bbq sauce but we were told we would have had to pay extra for this sauce as it is home made, whereas in my eyes we should have firstly been told about you being out of stock of the dip to begin with and should have been offered a replacement sauce free of charge. When we started eating the wings we noticed they were raw and we said to the staff working and showed them. The staff member then said the wings do bleed but to me they were raw. We then asked for a refund as we didn’t have time to wait for others to be recooked to which she then asked did we only want a refund because we didn’t have any cheese dip with the wings which I felt was a bit rude because the wings were clearly raw. Have ordered food from here plenty of times and had problems with waiting for the food for a long time but this will be our last time we come here.

Food was very nice but was incredibly overpriced. £40 for 2 burgers and brisket fries. They said a 25 minute wait which ended up being an hour wait so we almost missed our train home. They care more about getting delivery orders out on time rather than people sat inside. Food was very good though.

We LOVE Hillbilly’s. We order regularly and we have never had a bad meal. Delivery time is good, food is always 10/10 and the chicken wings, I just can’t, phenomenal. If you haven’t tried it, try it!

hillbillys is one of my favourite places to eat in malvern if its walking down to get a burger for lunch or ordering a harty always pleased every time

First time eating in the other day and the food was not to disappoint. Was spot on like usual apart from getting served. Could see that the people preparing the food were in hillbillys tshirts as well as the delivery drivers we usually have but was served by a female who had just looked like she came straight from the gym. Gym clothing wasnt very flattering and was talking to us out of breath which didnt seem very professional. Other than that spot on. 👍🏼

Awesome place. We had a very short amount of time before a train and they went above and beyond to get it to us ASAP. That was good enough to impress us, but then we tried the food - a beef burger, Asian style chicken burger, and fries - and all of it was absolutely excellent. Good people, good food.

took just short of 2 hrs to get delivered. missing 4 drinks, food cold, pork belly was just fat no meat on them, said food was delivered and wasn't waited another 10 mins. tried to call restaurant but answering machine kept coming on saying I carnt leave a message. This is not the first time I've ordered from here but every time its a huge disappointment and every time there is stuff missing.

Whilst the food is always good the £25 minimum order +£3.50 for delivery makes for an expensive meal. Unfortunately tonight I ordered at 7:30pm and it’s now 9:15pm and it hasn’t arrived. Credit where it’s due I rang them and they are sorting it out but an 1 3/4 hrs late is a little on the thick end of my patience. Especially considering the price for a burger and fries to meet the minimum.

The food is always good however tonight I think was the final straw and it’s unfortunate as I do enjoy the food. Ordered at 7:30pm and it’s not 9:20pm. The food is still not here. Called twice was told it’s being sorted around 8:30pm called again at 8:50pm told it’s being sent with one of their own drivers. Please refer to my earlier paragraph. I ordered a delivery to my house at 8:10pm.I had to cancel the delivery at 10:10 pm as it had not arrived. They were lying saying they had ''dispatched'' the order and kept giving false assurance saying it will be there in 2 minutes. I do not recommend ordering takeaway from here.

Came for a birthday dinner. Not been before but very happily surprised. Amazing burgers & the chicken katsu loaded fries were the best. So tasty. Friendly staff . We are so full .

The food is tasty, good quality, etc. but extremely overpriced and slow service! For 2 burgers and a portion of chips, I was initially told there will be 25mins waiting time, which turned into 50mins! I tried to give this place another chance, but it seems that the waiting time is ridiculous. Just make sure you snack before you order.

Super peed off tonight...this was the most amazing burger I've ever had, so stayed an extra night in the area just to take my partner....(we live 200 miles away) got there....sign said open...neon light on...not a soul in sight..had to get the pizza place next door to call manager as no one answered phone..turns out they'd taken all their staff to open another place. Nothing online about it, no sign on the door, no one answered phone...paid an extra £50 to stay in Malvern for this place...not happy

Used to be so good but seems to have gone downhill. Was our go to place to get burgers, but took 2 hours to get our food and it was lukewarm, my friend ordered a burger and there was no mention of cheese anywhere on the description yet it was covered in cheese and the meat was overcooked. Really sad because we used to absolutely love it here, but that will be our last order since it just took so long we were absolutely starving.

Food is great, which is why I keep going back. However, delivery service is appalling. Ordered at 18:20 on Saturday night, with delivery estimated at 19:20. Food hadn’t arrived by 20, so called them to learn food was “delivered” (which it hasn’t). Got a remake of the order and still waiting for that one at 21:00…

They really need to sort out their timings,had to wait over 30 mins after the pick up time, plus the katsu chicken wasn't the best out there!!!

Disappointed. Thought we would give the place a second try.. Food was bland and unseasoned again, cruffin was frozen on the inside (ruined my first ever cruffin experience), I had a call to say they had given my partner the wrong order as he was walking in through the door - so he walked back to collect the correct order and was given no compensation (which is just poor customer service really).. For what you pay, you definitely don't get your money's worth in taste (cheap ingredients) or in service. Sadly won't be returning again. One star.

Ordered Bo peep burger and asked for only beef tomato to be left out, order arrived an hour later. When we opened the box we were actually appalled to find the saddest looking burger on the planet! Literally just 2 patties in a bun and nothing else! £12.50, skip ordering from this place and head 5 mins down the road to maccies instead!

Must be the best takeaway in Malvern. The food is delicious,I would highly recommend. The meat is cooked slowly so it is melt in the mouth. The staff are so helpful, ordering again this evening.

Wow what a find!! We were in Malvern for a couple of days and thought we would give Hillbilly’s Street Kitchen a try. We were greeted in a warm and friendly manner and offered a table. We placed our order and only had a very short wait for our food. The food was outstanding. My husband had the Bullseye burger and said it was the best burger he had eaten! I had the Katsu chicken loaded fries, they were so good and such a big portion too. I would 100% recommend a visit if you are passing, all the food looks amazing and a great choice of dishes on the menu, you won’t be disappointed.

Delivery was 2.5 hours after order.

We really enjoyed our experience at Hillbillys. The food - and in particular the burgers and ribs - were exceptional. The burgers in particular were really original, high quality combinations and the ribs were well seasoned and fell off the bone. I thought the pricing was really reasonable considering how enjoyable the food was. My only constructive criticism for Hillbillys is: coat the chicken wings, as they were nicely cooked but lacked flavour. Also perhaps try to limit the time staff are out of the restaurant, as the lack of presence of a member of staff detracted from the atmosphere and made asking for things difficult. But they are only minor suggestions and I would definitely eat here again.

Cold food and missing drinks, disappointed!

burgers extremely tasty, juicy and not overly done. medium rare with lots of flavour . chips were crispy and well seasoned. mac and cheese minimal taste, plain as if it was from a white sauce packet, no flavor. pork belly bites no flavour for terriyk, just eating pork belly as you paid for it for it but just taste of meat, no seasoning. delivery late but very busy night understandably for a friday but half the food plain flavoured. burgers are great, flavoured, but sides are wanting during this

Food is always good. No issues. Have ordered before. But to have to wait for 2 hours and 20 minutes for the delivery is absolutely shocking! Really makes you put off to order again. Rang the restaurant to question after waiting 2 hours to be told they had issues with electricity, okay fine not their fault but to not inform customers is bad customer service. When I rang after 2 hours I then had to wait another 20 mins for the delivery to arrive when I was told "its already left". Just a bit of a shambles and a pain really. Hesitant to order again.

Took ages to actually make the food, was good when it eventually got here

ordered my food at half past 6 this evening, and it is 8.15 pm and still no food, was informed it was delivered and it wasnt and then rang up and was informed it was only then being prepped I am so disappointed in this place as the food is lovely but for the price and then the delivery charge it's disgusting especially as we are still awaiting our food! least they could of thrown in something for free or at least given us money back. will not be ordering again in the near future !!!

Hubby and me had a meal here last Friday evening for our Anniversary, it was very tasty, plenty to eat, decent price, good service, highly recommend eating here.

really, really late. told 1 hour to 1:15 . At 1h 50 minutes later still waiting. spoke to the shop told 10 to 15 minutes that was 25 minutes ago. I would look elsewhere from now on as this is the second time in a row this has happened.

We ordered at 7:50, which wasn’t an indecent time considering they shut at 9, still waiting for the food after close to 2 hours. Answered the phone and said it would be another 15 minutes past the already hour late delivery, kept trying to ring but no answer, food turned up at 9:40, cold to the touch, don’t recommend

It took two hours & two phone calls for a burger, portion of buffalo wings, portion of corn strips & a can of pop to be delivered less than a mile away - on a Wednesday evening in February. No offer of a refund on the high delivery cost either. And £20 minimum order. Far too slow, major hassle, will find another company next time.

Ordered a couple of times from this place and it’s very hot and miss. Maybe it’s who’s on that day? Ordered the food to arrive at 19:45 and the order was placed in advance just before they opened. The food was 30 minutes late and this is becoming a regular occurrence. Some of the items I had ordered were really good. The frickles were lovely and had no complaints about the burger. However the wings I had ordered were swimming in a soy sauce/honey pool and made them so salty I could t leat them.

Amazing food. My wife and I redeemed a £30 gift card that someone bought us, which was easy enough to do online. Simply the best takeout in Malvern we’ve had. Definitely worth the price and the quantity of food was perfect. Will order again. I’ve only docked 1 star for service as the online ordering was overall a bit fiddly and it also had a brief issue with the address. Otherwise couldn’t fault them!

Order placed for 18:05 delivery, arrived at 18:50. Upon opening food delivery only 1x Burger present yet receipt quite clearly shows 2x and the shop crossed both out. Upon ringing I was told they'd send a replacement for the error ASAP. An hour and 20 minutes after the original order arrived the replacement Burger arrived - no much for ASAP... by this time the moment had passed. The food we received first time round (1x burger, fries, slaw, 2x cans) was good quality and tasty. However at nearly £30 + £4 delivery its blatantly obvious the service isn't upto scratch - if your going to charge a premium price at least ensure you prioritise your customers, make sure orders are correct before sending out and if errors are made correct them. I'm afraid to say I won't be ordering again as I'm livid at the fact you can't get an order right, promised to deliver the missing Burger and didnt turn up despite it being promised it'll be delivered ASAP. Refund for missing/late burger sought via JustEat as store clearly don't care and moment had passed. Personally I would not recommend to order from here following my experience.
