Amazing spot with great food and exceptional service amongst all the staff. Have to give a shout out to Jordan saw me through and was able to explain everything and have great banter throughout 10/10 will come back again

The food was awful, gotten alot worse since the last time i took family but we thought that might of been a one off bad experience but it certainly wasn't. the restaurant has totally gone down hill since new management took over. The order was wrong for the food, the food isn't as fresh and the taste is extremely poor. The overall service and food is appalling. I am devastated as this was our family weekly treat but not any more. So disappointed in the change of management and quality of food now, microwaved mush. The management before were amazing made every visit experience welcoming and friendly, like a family coming home for tea. Their service was amazing but now totally different and disappointing. Such a shame.

The staff are nice. This place has a range of decent options. The food itself is quite bland and tasteless which makes no sense for Mexican food. I much prefer a competitor nearby starting with a Z whose food blows this place out of the water. All the tables were dirty when I visited and staff didn’t bother to clean them up. I was given my food without a tray because they had run out (because they weren’t cleaning the tables)

Ordered approx 11:20, food order was made up at 11:38, rang the restyling twice, they said there was a problem with access into the city centre with just eat couriers, tried to cancel but they said we had to get in touch with yourselves. Food eventually came at 14:25 and it was clay cold and very dry. Quite frankly very disappointing.

It was cold, small portion and took an hour and a half to be delivered even though it originally said 30/40 minutes

Genuinely one of my favorite places for food and the staff are lovely however, I think the business could hire a few additional bodies because the service is always really slow and they prioritise online orders over the in-store customers. I would definitely recommend if you don't mind waiting.

They’ve changed the chilli no carne recipe and it’s absolutely disgusting now. It tastes so artificial and cheap. Apparently they’ve done this with the chicken too. Such a shame as this used to be my favourite place! Also, the new contactless system takes away any of the human connection that made this place nice to visit and order from

Excellent service, abundant portion and very good flavor.

I was in here for the first time the other day, at first I was overwhelmed with the selection of food, however my server, the girl with red hair, I think her name was Skye, was amazing. She was very kind and patient with me, what a sweet girl. Overall, a great experience!!

The manager ( i think) with short red hair i believe is a absolutely ball ache, telling us to sit down and wait for our number to be shouted when we couldnt hear her through the noise and we was seated at the back area. Feel sorry for all the workers who have to deal with her, absolute ridiculous rude woman. 1st time my order was wrong so we took it back and she shouted 'why do we have to remake it' and rolled her eyes. Disgusting attitude.

Dont order this from uber eats - you'll wait at least 45 minutes for the food to arrive and then when it does you'll get someone else's order and get no support from uber or tortilla getting your actual order you'll just get a refund and have to wait another 45 minutes - joke.

You know when food is fresh when it tastes as good as it does at Tortilla. Been coming here throughout uni and will continue to now out of it Customer service is impecable and is reason enough for everyone to come down

The staff were genuinely very pleasant and welcoming. The food was very tasty and a good portion size for the price, I've eaten here twice and had different options each time and been very impressed. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the service overall was excellent. Would 100% recommend this to anyone who enjoys a good hardy tasty meal.

I was looking forward to purchasing the sunset combo yet terrible service caused me not to. I waited, bearing in mind no queue was around, no one acknowledged me and employees were too busy talking. I was finally asked what I wanted then a minute later employee went back talking to colleague and had backs to me. Absolutely horrendous and rude customer service, only go here if you don’t want good food or customer service. Management need to sort this out.

2.5 hours until delivery and food was cold

Tortilla is always a great place for not only amazing food, but for getting something great to eat when you have gluten and dairy intolerances. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable, in both Newcastle and Edinburgh.

The food was nice and it’s great to have vegan options - however, the order was delivered to my neighbour, and there was no knock on my door! Probably won’t risk ordering again x😔

Been here a few times. -overcharged for an order and not sure why. Staff never told me any of the toppings were an additional charge. -Furthermore the amount of toppings is irregular -I see other orders and they have way more fillings. Too inconsistent and need to make it clear if anything is optional extra -service is so slow waited over 10 minutes just to give my order

It was my first time to order Mexican food. Because I saw the design style and music experience here, I unconsciously followed the queue and ordered the naked taco M size. I paid an additional price of 2.95 pounds (drink/nachos). The process was very refreshing. I asked them one by one what ingredients to add and the content of the sauce, whether it was spicy, etc... It was a very interesting process, it was really a food culture experience, I was happy! Delicious! recommend! ! !

The staff here were genetically closer to sloths than people. If they went any slower they would have been going backwards. Each scoop of the ladel took approximately 3-5 business days. After taking the best part of 20 minutes to get it from one end of the assembly line to the other, the server had the gall to open mouth cough on the burrito. YUCK.

The bowl was half empty so not happy with the food but the delivery was quick

We didn’t revive the food, I accidentally sent my food to my home address and we are at a friends house, but I didn’t realise until the order was stated ‘delivered’ online, my dad didn’t hear any knock at the door, and still hasn’t received the food, even though it says it has been delivered, he has looked around the house and in the bins and can’t see it anywhere. Eldon Square: Haven’t been before so needed some guidance as to how/what to order. Had come straight from an exam so was a bit flustered. Beth was brilliant, had a chat to me and basically talked me through each ingredient. She also informed me about student discount that I didn't know was available, which saved me a good chunk of money. Will be going after every exam now :)

Very rude! If you close at 8pm, you close at 8! Not at 7pm. They started their deep cleaning at 7pm and there was a queue of people waiting for to order with only 1 person taking orders whilst 3 of them were cleaning. Below par and not good enough. Avoid.

Had the tres tacos and my friend had the baked burrito. Excellent food, loads of choices in meat, and the atmosphere is decent. Easily accessible and fast service are an added bonus. I will definitely be returning for more tasty Mexican munchables.

Food was good and more than that the service was really friendly. Had the naked burrito bowl with hot salsa. Be warned it’s hot! If you want a cheap eat in Newcastle city centre, you can’t go wrong.

Burritos are big enough to be an entire meal by themselves. Tacos are small in my opinion, definitely not as valuable as they are priced, there's a place in Sunderland that makes it better (in some aspects, not all). The 5-8PM deal is great value and their loyalty scheme is rather insane value if you get it. Churros are good enough to have a cheat day for, shame about those allergic to nuts though.

Great experience from start to finish We were given tasters to help us choose our perfect burrito. All the staff were polite and helpful but Jack was particularly helpful and friendly despite being a mackem. He is a credit to the business and will definitely encourage you to return. Food was delicious and you get a lot.

Just had the worst meal out I think I have ever had. Three of us had different burritos, beef, chicken and vegi. Mine was the beef for an extra pound or so. I am really not sure which bit of the cow this was from but it was a mix of fat, mush and overcooked 'meat'. The others were of similar low quality, overcooked bland 'stuff'. How can veggies be done so wrong? We are all genuinely saying we are expecting to resee this meal sometime later today.

Had a lovely experience in tortilla today to make use of the offer, food was lovely and the server on the till, Zara, was very friendly and convinced us to get some churros which did not disappoint. Will be back 🙌
