Terrible Experience – Caused Food Poisoning My parents dined at The Old Custom House and had a terrible experience. Within an hour of eating, they started vomiting multiple times, clearly indicating food poisoning. This is completely unacceptable for any restaurant, let alone one that should uphold proper food hygiene standards. We are extremely disappointed and concerned about the safety of the food being served. I strongly urge the management to take food safety seriously and ensure this doesn’t happen to others. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

Had lunch then dinner here a couple of days apart, just before Christmas, and they were two of the best meals I have eaten out in a long time. The sea Bream was plate sized and superb, as was the grilled Haddock with Turmeric Mash. Not at all expensive by London standards, and I am far from being a rich man. Oh, and I should say that if, like me, you are a Coeliac or cannot eat Gluten, then you will find the staff entirely compos mentis. They always have at least one GF choice available, veggie and vegan too. And also importantly a beautiful place, child and dog friendly. Weekend bit too pricey but weekdays is amazing, happy hour was the best. And set menu food was delicious. Definitely visiting from Mon to Fri is well worth the 💰

Have been several times always warm welcome and great food. Went today, Sunday for lunch, lovely as always but disappointed that the roast on offer was only chicken or the gammon. The gammon was an option but was on the menu with egg and chips. Having had several ham salads this week in the warm weather, I was looking forward to beef, lamb or pork as my roast. Chicken is the cheap option and therefore made it not quite as special. We eat lots of chicken through the week. For two it’s sometimes not worth cooking a roast. For £16 for the main course I would have expected a better choice, certainly based on my previous visits. The chicken was tasty and good quantity, however just not the same as a nice roasted joint. If returning, would certainly ask ahead what was on the menu if going again for Sunday lunch.

NO HAY VEGANO AQUÍ. Visité Ranoush Juice en King’s Road, Chelsea, hoy a las 12: 45 pm y pidió un envoltorio de falafel VEGANO de su menú. Mientras comía, pedí salsa extra por separado, ya que mis amigos estaban comiendo cordero, y no quería compartir de la misma olla. Cuando le mencioné esto al chef, se rió y dijo: “Si eres vegano, ¿por qué viniste aquí? No hay nada vegano en este restaurante. Freímos tu falafel en el mismo aceite que la carne.” Estaba absolutamente sorprendido y decepcionado. Es completamente inaceptable que un restaurante anuncie opciones veganas cuando no siguen prácticas veganas básicas. ¡El chef mismo lo admitió! Esto es engañoso y profundamente frustrante para cualquier persona con preferencias dietéticas o alergias. Espero que dejen de etiquetar falsamente los artículos como veganos o comiencen a mantener una separación adecuada de los alimentos. ¡Muy decepcionante y engañoso!

So disappointed with the food and the tea! Sugar, fat and white bread. Even an average bakery would do way better. Very mediocre quality and a real reap off. A shame as they says they have a chef.

We had the shared Tapas, every dish was excellent The tastes and spices. Wasn't rushed very relaxing evening.
