As one of our regular takeaway providers parbez and his team went above and beyond to make sure our latest takeaway experience was even better than normal. After an unfortunate late delivery we received a text from the owner personally to apologise and to offer us a part refund on our next order. This has never happened with other takeaways so top marks for them i highly recommend

Great food, my favourite for Indian. Food is excellent and the service is too. My last order was missing an item but I found that a suitable replacement was added which I enjoyed immensely. Fully recomend them for spicy tasty food. Treat yourself!

Ordered a takeaway & was told less than 55 minutes. Phoned to chase where my order was after waiting 1 1/2 hours. Left on hold for a while and then told it will be 15mins, got the impression it had been forgotten about. Food arrived and tasted nice but was lukewarm at best and poppadoms stale and soggy.

Although slightly late, the food was delicious. Fresh naga chilli was certainly a spicy option! Wow, even for my standards. Would order again.

First time ordering from Baldock Spice, Well firstly outstanding presentation and a customer focused service thank you for the complimentary sides and starters, the food was exceptional 👌 perfectly spice to perfection, hot fresh,authentic cuisine..

Delivery times are wrong on Just Eat. Restaurant website says doesn’t open until 5pm so waited a lot longer than expected for delivery but food was good.

Very late and part of order missing. Refund requested but not received.

Baldock Spice is a great place to eat Indian food. Their biryani is really tasty and feels like real Indian food. You can even ask them to make it your way. The prices are good, and the service is excellent. We’ll definitely come back and recommend this place to others. Thank you.

It wasn’t the greatest, I was pretty disappointed. I went for a lamb Naga Dhansak and the meat was pretty poor. Expected better.. maybe next time it will be okay.

The paneer curry we ordered had a piece of chicken it!! Can only think they’re also cooked together. Avoid if you’re vegetarian or hope to receive what you order.

After 2.5 hours partner went to the restaurant (couldn’t get through on phone) food still wasn’t ready. Couldn’t refund on card, had to wait for someone else to pay cash to get money back.

The worse service I have experienced. Ordered via Deliveroo. It was impossible to get through to the restaurant and when i did eventually speak to someone, they were giving inaccurate information. They then put the phone down on me. I would avoid at all costs. Over 3 hours later and still no food or update.

Ive been waiting for my food for nearly 2 hours. nothing. I had a couple of messages to say there were delays but they have also stopped coming now. I called to ask politely IF food would arrive and I was hung up on (I wasn't cross, didn't shout, just wanted to know what was happening). I tried again and my call was forwarded to voicemail. now I am cross!!!

Often get a take away from here (never eaten in) but the vegan curry is amazing!

Never got my food as they were really late telling me the drive left 20mins ago and 45mins later didn’t turn up cancelled my order then never got a full refund poor customer services skills completely disappointed me as I had to go to get food from some where else that took 20mins not 2 hours jokers

After placing our order at 7:30pm the delivery estimate said 8:30pm, OK fine. Then received a text saying the food was going to be about 20 minutes delayed, about 15 minutes later we received another text saying food would be about 20 minutes delayed again. The new estimated time is now 9:10pm. at 9:07pm and I got a notification saying the food was on its way. it arrived at 9:27pm. The delivery guy was apologetic but at this point we werent even really hungry anymore. Such a shame.

Collected my order, was ready and waiting. Lovely food piping hot just what I wanted. Parking is hit n miss, but park round the corner n it's 1min walk. Definitely go again

Now I'm not usually one to complain but this evening was the final time we will order from Baldock Spice. Firstly, we have always ordered from here and the food is always good.... when it arrives! This time like last time, it was nearly 2 hours to get anything. After 3 phone calls in and being told 5 minutes, 10 minutes, the driver is on the way, we are short staffed etc etc.... they actually started putting the phone down on us. After 1 hour and 50 mins, our order arrives, luke warm with no apology. After a microwave job, it didn't really do much for our appetite. We have also complained to Deliveroo and WILL NOT be ordering from here again.

The delivery time was delayed by 1h 30 min. Most of the food was great, but the onion bhajis were very, very greasy. I don't think it's too hard to put them on a paper towel for a few minutes before preparing them for delivery.

Had many great meals from here, however our last one in May wasn't very good so we haven't ordered for a while.. Delivery took longer than expected but it was a busy Saturday night.. given the delay we were worried the food might be cold, but no, arrived nice and hot. Everything was amazing 👏, so many different flavours, great clean heat on the spicy dishes. Poppadoms crispy and fresh. All the starters were so tasty. Honestly cannot fault a single thing about the food.. 10/10, will definitely be ordering again.

Predominantly a takeaway restaurant but has an extensive menu. If you like to try something different from the usual Indian cuisine give this place a try. Still has the usual items on the menu but also some unique meals. Staff are great too and happy to alter things to your taste.

Food arrived slightly early, hot and very tasty. The garlic naan and bhuna were especially delicious. The set meal we had was excellent value and the delivery charge was also really reasonable especially considering it is a bit of a distance. Will definitely be ordering again.

Ordered and said up to 40 mins then updated and said it would be longer. Came just under 2 hrs after ordering. I rang after an hour and half and they said it was on the way. The food was delicious but wasn’t hot.. a shame.

Hasn't even turned up! Restaurant can't get through to the driver. Now some hungry adults and kids who have been waiting over 2 hours for food.

This is our goto Indian - always yummy food but they do tend to deliver quite late. The food was delicious except for the onion rice which was a shame - there are big slices of garlic inside that make it impossible to eat (even for a garlic lover it was way too much) so I'd give it a miss. Otherwise delish!

Ordered at 19.11 and arrived at 20.30 which was over 30mins late, plus parts of my order were missing.

Our favourite Indian to order from, sight wait for Baldock to Stevenage but worth the wait! Slight hick up this evening with some onion bhajee’s being missed and my child only having popadom for dinner, the restaurant agreed to a full refund and some complimentary items on our next order. This won’t deter us from ordering again as we understand these things can happen especially on a Saturday evening and the food is always so tasty.

food was cold and tastless. Plenty of spice added but no depth or taste. The Nann bread was the size of a slice of pizza and had no filling (was meant to be a Keema Nann) just to reiterate the food was tasteless, spend your money elsewhere
