Food all cold, took over an hour to arrive and the driver who delivered it was incredibly rude to us. Staff on the phone also rude and hung up on us when we asked for updates on where order was. So disappointed as we’ve ordered from here so many times before, but won’t be ordering again.

From baldock to Stevenage so quick

The food was a bit late but it was great quality and we got a free tandori chicken starter which definitely made up for it 😊

Thought we'd try out a new takeaway. A shame we had to reheat the food when it finally arrived over an hour late. Followed the 'help me' link through just eat and not happy with a £3 discount from the restaurant on our next order as compensation! Once the food was reheated it was a lovely meal, just a shame about the service. plus the 5 poppadoms @ 85p each were soggy so went in the bin.

Unfortunately the quality of the chicken has declined over the past year or so. The sides however were really good.

Absolutely shocking as they know it’s NYE so should’ve planned 17:34 ordered turned up after 3 calls to restaurant at 20:16 and only £7.00 off my bill. I’ve used these many times in the past and probably won’t in the future.

Ordered at 5:45 and it’s 8:30 now and still not here … delivery estimate was 7. Gave benefit of doubt because of new years but nearly 3 hours is a long time!

This restaurant is very hit and miss. Food is great sometimes and very average other times. It's delivered late, more often than not. I think this is the last time we order from Baldock Spice!

As one of our regular takeaway providers parbez and his team went above and beyond to make sure our latest takeaway experience was even better than normal. After an unfortunate late delivery we received a text from the owner personally to apologise and to offer us a part refund on our next order. This has never happened with other takeaways so top marks for them i highly recommend

Great food, my favourite for Indian. Food is excellent and the service is too. My last order was missing an item but I found that a suitable replacement was added which I enjoyed immensely. Fully recomend them for spicy tasty food. Treat yourself!

Ordered a takeaway & was told less than 55 minutes. Phoned to chase where my order was after waiting 1 1/2 hours. Left on hold for a while and then told it will be 15mins, got the impression it had been forgotten about. Food arrived and tasted nice but was lukewarm at best and poppadoms stale and soggy.

Although slightly late, the food was delicious. Fresh naga chilli was certainly a spicy option! Wow, even for my standards. Would order again.

Delivery times are wrong on Just Eat. Restaurant website says doesn’t open until 5pm so waited a lot longer than expected for delivery but food was good.

Baldock Spice is a great place to eat Indian food. Their biryani is really tasty and feels like real Indian food. You can even ask them to make it your way. The prices are good, and the service is excellent. We’ll definitely come back and recommend this place to others. Thank you.

It wasn’t the greatest, I was pretty disappointed. I went for a lamb Naga Dhansak and the meat was pretty poor. Expected better.. maybe next time it will be okay.

The paneer curry we ordered had a piece of chicken it!! Can only think they’re also cooked together. Avoid if you’re vegetarian or hope to receive what you order.

Sauce was nice and moist went well with the chicken tikka which was so tender. the texture was spot on, guys gave me some complementaries on the house for being a loyal customer. Thank you guys!!!

After 2.5 hours partner went to the restaurant (couldn’t get through on phone) food still wasn’t ready. Couldn’t refund on card, had to wait for someone else to pay cash to get money back.

The worse service I have experienced. Ordered via Deliveroo. It was impossible to get through to the restaurant and when i did eventually speak to someone, they were giving inaccurate information. They then put the phone down on me. I would avoid at all costs. Over 3 hours later and still no food or update.

No food arrived! Can’t cancel or claim back money on the app!

Ive been waiting for my food for nearly 2 hours. nothing. I had a couple of messages to say there were delays but they have also stopped coming now. I called to ask politely IF food would arrive and I was hung up on (I wasn't cross, didn't shout, just wanted to know what was happening). I tried again and my call was forwarded to voicemail. now I am cross!!!

The order was so late I have been told I can have a free main and I think a side dish when I next order. I’m not happy

Food is absolutely wonderful. The Masala fries are to die for !!!! Collection experience has been great as usual , warm and welcoming staff even though I had put in an order within an 30 mins of the store closing !!!

Often get a take away from here (never eaten in) but the vegan curry is amazing!

Never got my food as they were really late telling me the drive left 20mins ago and 45mins later didn’t turn up cancelled my order then never got a full refund poor customer services skills completely disappointed me as I had to go to get food from some where else that took 20mins not 2 hours jokers

After placing our order at 7:30pm the delivery estimate said 8:30pm, OK fine. Then received a text saying the food was going to be about 20 minutes delayed, about 15 minutes later we received another text saying food would be about 20 minutes delayed again. The new estimated time is now 9:10pm. at 9:07pm and I got a notification saying the food was on its way. it arrived at 9:27pm. The delivery guy was apologetic but at this point we werent even really hungry anymore. Such a shame.

Collected my order, was ready and waiting. Lovely food piping hot just what I wanted. Parking is hit n miss, but park round the corner n it's 1min walk. Definitely go again

Now I'm not usually one to complain but this evening was the final time we will order from Baldock Spice. Firstly, we have always ordered from here and the food is always good.... when it arrives! This time like last time, it was nearly 2 hours to get anything. After 3 phone calls in and being told 5 minutes, 10 minutes, the driver is on the way, we are short staffed etc etc.... they actually started putting the phone down on us. After 1 hour and 50 mins, our order arrives, luke warm with no apology. After a microwave job, it didn't really do much for our appetite. We have also complained to Deliveroo and WILL NOT be ordering from here again.
