I want a refund as food was late. I called restaurant at 20:10pm and they said the driver had only just left when the food was supposed to be delivered at 19:40-20:00

Fantastic food as always. All dishes were delicious. I ordered my Tarka Dahl with extra garlic and it was perfect. so nice to have food tailored to your taste.

Food was disappointing quality. Dishes all tasted the same -very sweet and bland. Breads were tough and did not taste fresh. We also had an item missing from our order (cheese naan). We have enjoyed good meals from the Spice Cabinet in the past, but this fell below their usual standard

I always order from spice cabinet have done for ages now. My parents ordered the other week it was late and the food wasn’t edible they don’t like to complain. I have ordered tonight and one thing about spice cabinet their timing isn’t great it is always late. However the food is always good. Tonight the naan bread wasn’t cooked which is a let down

Dissapointed with the quality of the main dish. Ordered two chicken tikka bhunas. The sauce was watery and tasteless. Delivery was on time

This is the BEST Indian food restaurant I have EVER been to when you combine all the AMAZING aspects of the Spice Cabinet. We have always ordered takeaways from here, which sometimes turned up a bit later than stated but we loved the food so much we continued to order, just ordered earlier than we needed. THIS IS THE IMPORTANT BIT FOR YOU TO READ.... We decided to eat at the actual restaurant last week rather than order takeaway. It was AMAZING! 😍😍 We had our American friends visit and they were blown away. They wanted to return even though they had a very hectic schedule for their vacation. This is a family business. If you want to support family businesses after you visit, please leave a review. The setting is a beautiful rural location, a hidden gem. There's a small garden if you want to have a meal outside. The inside has beautiful querky décor which we particularly loved. The service is perfect. Attentive, engaging, friendly and always there for your every need without being overbearing. The food is cooked to your liking. They will tailor to your requests whenever possible. (All our requests were met, and there were 10 of us on our last visit). The owner came out and personally confirmed what we wanted. On the day we visited he actually cooked the food!! It was Fantastic! Please give it a go if you are looking for a fabulous memorable experience which is different to the mundane Indian restaurant. Invite all your friends! They will be super impressed. I can't recommend this lovely place enough.

Do not use this company. Two hours after ordering we are still waiting for our food. They lied to us saying it had left the restaurant and we are still left waiting!!! When the food finally turned up items were missing and the food was cold!! Never again!!!

Ordering via just eat was not a problem at all. The app gave us a delivery time of 7:30 to 8. I called the restaurant at 8 and they said they had just left and would be 15 minutes. I checked maps and the restaurant is only 19 minutes away. I called again at 8:45 and they said they gave me wrong info earlier and was still 9 minutes away. Food finally arrived at 9pm. Food was cold and was just chucked in the bag, something leaked and made it all soggy. Extremely disappointed. Wouldn't order again

Ordered at 7.25, told delivery would be between 8.25-8.45.. contacted them to be told 9.05.. still no food, food didn’t arrive till 9.45. On arrival food was “warm” naan breads were crispy. Unfortunately on this occasion I’m extremely disappointed & we order at least once a week.

very disappointed in this place, ordered from them numerous times but last night was disgusting. Food eventually arrived over an hour later but only because we rang them about it! Even the delivery driver said he had to tell them to call the customers and obvs didn't listen. called the restaurant only to be fobbed off about road closures (we checked and there wasn't any!) was told I'd receive a full refund which hasn't happened either!! we will NEVER order from here again!

It was late on an already delayed delivery. Good quality it as good as when we’ve had it previously. Expensive and disappointing. Won’t be using again.

delivery driver was lovely and friendly. the meal was massive couldn't eat it all, taste was amazing defo ordering from here again, also gave me extra papopadom sorry can't spell lol and extra pot of chutney brilliant job. chicken was soft well cooked and loads of sauce smelt amazing. 10/10 on everything

Food was amazing as usual, chef Tariq is just the best. If you haven’t eaten here before I strongly recommend you do. My tikka roll was yummy just yummy.

Food always lovely but always later than stated. This time lots later. I've never complained before but it's getting a bit much. If I found another place that did food as good, I would try them instead.

The food was lovely. Had to wait 1¹/² hours for delivery. That we knew and was prepared to wait, but ended up just over an hour extra, making it 2.5 hours.

2nd time coming in the last few months and enjoyed tasty food, they catered for a 7 year old with specific requests, great service, attentive and looked after us well.

Absolutely scrumptious. Throughly enjoyed not a scrap left. Definitely recommend 💯

Aweful. Lamb shank was all off the bone in a strange tasting sauce. 4 tandoori wings one of which looked good the other 3 were thin and fatty. Rice overcooked and naan very doughy.

The food is adequate but lacking in spice and the chicken tikka wasnt the best quality - not bad but not great

First time ordering and it was delicious! I particularly enjoyed the soft fluffy flavoursome biryani rice! Yum!

So frustrating when restaurants put 20-30 mins delivery to compete with competitors to then change the delivery to 44-55mins and deliver 1h45mins later. That said the food was great

The driver struggled to find the house. He isn't the first to struggle, and he was very apologetic, but it's still mildly irritating that the food arrived outside the deliivery window. Especially as the dekivery had already been delayed by 10 minutes. The food was, however, excellent. Very happy and would definitely order from Spice Cabinet again.

All the food was excellent - the lamb in our tikka masala was very tender . Would recommend highly!

First time ordering from here, I am pleased to say food was great! Food tasted lovely and the staff were so polite and friendly. This will now become my regular.

The order was 30 minutes late cannot choose this from the minute choices . The food was very salty & not spicy at all as I had requested.

Food is amazing here, a really great selection of chefs specials as well as the usual offerings. Highly recommend going for the chefs specials! Really enjoyed our mains, sides and starters and were kindly also offered a complimentary mint ice cream dessert which was also fabulous. The service is impeccable and very friendly. A really nice property as well so a nice environment to eat in. Cannot recommend the Spice Cabinet enough and will definitely be going back despite living half an hour away!

Food usually good, delivery nearly always late but the food this time was far below usual standard Biryani rice stuck together in clumps and bland. Mixed grill came floating in some odd tasting liquid. Longest wait, over an hour after delivery time. Won’t be ordering again

Love this Indian restaurant always great food

Being punjabi and use to eating Indian food this food was terrible. Food tastes of garlic and overloaded with Chilli no subtle spice flavours, very oily, couldn't really enjoy food due to being so chilly. Seekh kebab didn't taste of lamb not sure what it was. OK if you like vindaloo and just like sweating. Think I will stick to my local lounge India. I think the 4 reviews may not be genuine

Hi, there I did not get my food last night and I had no missed phone calls or anything I'm very disappointed my order was nearly 60 pounds and have lost it all there is usually no problem with service as I have ordered multiple times before massive letdown!!

Food arrived early, piping hot, and was very delicious! We both loved the biryani (chicken tikka & lamb) very nice portions. His first time trying tandoori & he loved it! We enjoyed the cabinet naan, very savoury garlic taste paired with the honey we had it as a dessert, sweet & tasty! Onion bhaji was hot & crispy too. Definitely ordering from here again!

The main portion size was smaller than most takeaways. Although it was tasty, the chicken was slightly over cooked. The potatoes were quite bland. Initially they had taste and then the flavour quickly disappeared. Popadoms were oily Overall, not great for what is an expensive meal, chicken main and pots 18 if it wasn’t for the cheeky Tuesdays. Only thing cheeky was the price and the quality.

We found this restaurant some time back and it has become our favourite Indian go to. Great friendly service fine food and good prices. Highly recommended.

Best dining experience ever! New Management is absolutely amazing, they take care of you as you were their own. Probably the best Indian food I have ever tried. Recommend the chicken curry, succulent, flavoursome and mouthwatering. You’d be a fool to miss out on such culinary experience. I travel the UK to test out many restaurants, but this one in particular has a unique ambiance about it which makes it special.

The New management are so chill and welcoming. I thank the stars I drove past it (that’s how I found it). Went in and immediately felt welcomed. Place is clean smells nice and overall dining atmosphere is truly unique in the most special way. The building has an old school feel but is truly a gem. I hear there are external issues with the previous management but the new management are a breath of fresh air. Food, better than Sona restaurant. Great pricing. Easily accessible parking spaces. Staff are very nice and friendly. The tandoori chicken, don’t know how they make it but it is majestically tasty.

We decided to eat in today with the kids. What an amazing experience! The staff were so welcoming and the food was so tasty. One of the kids decided to order off menu to our surprise was accommodated... if you have a chicken nugget eating 6 year old rest assured spice cabinet can cater for you! Such a great experience! Thank you to the staff! They even allowed our 6 year old to role play as a waiter and take orders!

I ordered my food at 1832 and it wasn’t delivered until 2045. I had to call the restaurant twice and was only refunded £7 which I don’t think is acceptable.

the curries were half portions. We were disappointed despite the good quality of the food. Perhaps 20% off means 20% less.

In the middle of nowhere, this converted barn / cottage is well worth the drive. Good food and service well priced.

Food was hot and delicious, there was just a mix up with the house number, it had them going up and down the street.

Have used Spice Cabinet for deliveries in the past and the food has been pretty good. This time we ordered using our existing account and were phoned by the restaurant to say that they were busy and our food would be delayed 20 minutes. Later still, and getting hungry, we get a call from the delivery driver to ask why we aren't answering our door. It transpired that he was 10 miles away at a different address that had been substituted for ours in their app for some reason. Obviously it took some time for him to drive our food back to our house, by which time it was an hour overdue. To add insult to injury the driver then wanted to charge us more for sending him to the wrong address and wouldn't accept it was a fault with their system. Clearly I wasn't going to pay extra for lukewarm food and we parted acrimoniously. There were some dishes that were absent, replaced by others that we hadn't ordered. All in all a shambles that I'm not in a hurry to repeat.
