Excellent, tender lamb, lovely service.

This was our first time and it didn't disappoint at all. The food was very tasty with a wide variety to choose from. The drinks menu was good although we weren't drinking(trying to be good). The one thing that did stand out was that the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be returning at some point.

We are always impressed with the quality and quantity of the food and the service really makes this restaurant one of our favourites in the area to visit. We are going to miss them greatly when we move away. We will definitely visit whenever we are back in the area and know we will struggle to find a Turkish restaurant to Rival Thee Grapevine in Letchworth.

Lovely resturant, delicious food, amazing staff! An absoloute gem of a place.. beautiful atmosphere, clean toilets, amazing value,.. i visited from out of the area today with my aunt and daughter and all i can say is WOW... EVERYTHING from the food to the staff... thank you for such a lovely evening 😊

Excellent place, great food, lovely atmosphere and cheerful people. Went to a company meeting to Stevenage and the only place we found to be worthy to go to have different cuisine. We had a very relaxing time with colleagues. Very tasty food.

Food was great. Sadly service was so slow. There was a big table but all focus on them and nothing for others. Sadly had to ask for drinks/ food order/ bill. Only had food and a drink then left. Would of happily stayed but too slow… the steak was amazing!

We were a party of 14 people, booked a table on advance on a Thursday night, glad we did as the place was really busy. Really good menu options, catered for vegetarians too. Food was freshly cooked and came out quickly & all our dishes tasted really good. My only slight negative was the Turkish Pizza didn't really come out on a thin crispy base - but everything else was great. Service was good and attentive

Lovely food with nice friendly service

It's nothing fancy, wobbly square tables pushed together. Not many smiles from the waiter. I went there for my birthday and really fancied some sundried tomatoes. I saw they had a veggie pizza with them on. They served me sunburnt tomatoes! I explained I expected sundried tomatoes to be red not black so they brought me a sliced beef tomato as an apology! They did bring me out a very dry slice of cake with a candle which was a nice touch but disappointing to eat.

Completely underwhelmed with food. Waiting staff were efficient and polite. The restaurant was empty so no ambience. I was very disappointed with the whole experience.

Celebratory lunch, all excellent

I'd been wanting to go here for a while and unfortunately I am slightly disappointed in my experience. For me, Turkish Foo should take you on a flavourful journey, unfortunately I found the good quite ordinary. I had a selection of starters - the vine leaves (cold dish), a garlic sausage in a bell pepper and tomato sauce (hot dish), an aubergine dish and lambs liver. I enjoyed the sausage, the wrapped vine leaves were rather uneventful, the aubergine dish was a soggy salsa (best way to describe it), decent flavour, but not what I was expecting and the lambs liver was incredibly dry and quite bland. For mains I had the mixed grill (lamb cutlet, chicken shish, lamb shish and a kofta) with bulgar. The lamb cutlet was dry and bland, the chicken pieces dry, but a decent flavour, honestly the best part was the koftas, good flavour. For me personally, I would not go back as a first instinct, which is a pity, as I had such high expectations from hearing about the place.

Lovely food and excellent service. Food quality good. Recommend. Returned for our wedding anniversary, still lovely food. Went lunchtime so got 2 courses for £15. Can't fault the price and quality. Will return soon. Young lady who served us, well done, excellent customer service.

Quite simply the best place to eat in Letchworth I'd say, and I mean that literally. Never been disappointed and the food is always amazing. Their specials are also very good, if you're ever bored of the usual menu (which is unlikely but still). Staff are also lovely 🙂

Food was delicious and service very attentive. Wait staff we’re very accommodating of my friends vegan diet and made an alternative for her, even saying if there is anything she’d particularly like next time, to call ahead so they can order ingredients!

I travel alot; That was one of the nicest dishes I've had. Mixed grill was a good portion and went down a treat. chilli sauce is nice on the side. The service is very kind and polite. I would definitely recommend. One to come back to if passing through again.

Had another wonderful lunch here. The staff are very friendly and the place has a lovely atmosphere. I will be honest and never quite know what I have ordered, but the meal always tastes delicious and the staff are there to help you make your decision.

A really lovely place to eat. They found room for us without a reservation and couldn't have made us more welcome. Lovely bunch of people and the food was great too, some lovely traditional and some slightly fusion dishes all cooked very well. Decent portions for a nice comfortable meal as a decent price. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Best place to eat in Letchworth

What a wonderful afternoon. I booked a table for 8 of us for my friends hen and the whole team were fantastic. So welcoming and accommodating. The food was incredible and the service was great. It will not be the last time we visit! What a gem. I’m so happy we found this little treat!!

I have visited this restaurant on many occasions and have never been able to fault anything, the staff are extremely welcoming and the food is fantastic. Would highly recommend to anyone who enjoys this style of food.

Visited here fairly early on a Friday evening as a walk in. We were made to feel very welcome immediately including my nearly 3 year old. Food was great and frankly better than I had in Turkey earlier in the year. Service throughout the meal was great with a nice atmosphere developing as the restaurant got busier. Would highly recommend and hope to be back soon!

Just went out for a mid-week meal, been meaning to try the Grapevine for a while. Glad I did. Superb food, well cooked, well presented, packed with flavour. Fair wine list. Good, prompt, friendly service. Fair prices (two-course with one glass of wine £20-£25) per head. Environment is clean, nicely decorated, well lit, warm. Large windows look onto Leys Avenue. Some seating outside. Letchworth keeps its town quite tidy and well lit, a pleasant location for this restaurant (especially on a warm early autumn evening). Sep2018. Re-visited Jul2022: the above review is still the case, with a mild increase in prices.

This place went way beyond our already excellent expectations. As out-of-towners, it was recommended by a local. The staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful. We had a giant plate of cold meze to start, and then delicious chicken shish and kofte for main. We (party of three friends) ate so much because it was simply too good to leave. It was clean, a lovely atmosphere, and the great food and excellent staff with a great approach to customer service. I wholeheartedly recommend. About £25pp with wine which is exceedingly reasonable. We left a hearty, well-deserved tip for the lovely team.
