Ada Mediterranean Kitchen

Ryde North West, Isle of Wight
31/12/2018: This restaurant has an amazing tastes. Their meze menu is quite cheap and so yummy, especially the white bait was my favorite. Also, the staff was so kind and hospitable. The service was so fast, and the prices are quite reasonable. I highly recommend Ada restaurant if you have a chance to visit isle of Wight.
31/12/2018: The staff were very attentive to my peanut allergy and vegan diet. They were so kind and considerate. The food was absolutely delicious - best on the Isle of Wight

Denis Restaurant

Bicester Town, Cherwell, <20£
29/12/2018: Wow .....what can I say, the food exceeded expectations and the service was second to none. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the area. Six of us ate , six of us left completely satisfied. I will definitely return next time I am in Bicester.
12/12/2018: Just spent a wonderful evening at Denis's restaurant in Bicester for our team Christmas night out. There were 22 of us. The food was amazing and we chose the Christmas set menu. All 3 courses were presented beautifully. The meze starter was lovely with a variety of flavours and textures typical of Turkish food. The main course was hot and portions plentiful - mostly chicken on a nest of potato or the mixed grill. Everyone enjoyed it. Service was quick and polite. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a twist on a traditional Christmas dinner. Superb!!

Hotel TerraVina Restaurant

Ashurst, Copythorne South and Netley Marsh, New Forest, >100£
14/12/2018: First visit was back in April 18 (coffee only but very impressed back then) and not been since, so was looking forward to a lunch meeting with 5 other friends. Offered a menu with wraps, sandwiches, small lunch plates, soup etc and then there was a specials of the day board. Lamp shanks £12.50 which was oh so tempting and garlic crevettes served with black garlic mayonnaise £10.50. Three of my friends went for a blue cheese and rosemary quiche which they loved, one went for a wrap that looked delicious, another chose the soup but I had the last crevette portion in the restaurant! OMG. It was simply divine. Lots of crevettes served with brown bread and a bit of salad on the side. Flavour was outstanding....I still can’t praise the chefs enough. Good value for £. Would choose that anytime. But a finger bowl was really needed as shells on prawns and therefore very messy. Excellent friendly service. You must try here!
11/12/2018: Perfect place to visit anytime of the year, excellent choice of food with very pleasant service in really lovely old building, A small hotel making the ideal base to stay for a visit to the new forest & Dorset

La Taberna

High Street, Maidstone
05/12/2018: We visited on a Tuesday evening to celebrate my husbands birthday. I had precooked but I don’t think I needed to as there was only 4 occupied tables.
28/11/2018: I have been coming to the La Taberna in-frequently since it opened on Union Street. The staff have always been very friendly and I think it’s great that it’s family run and independent.

Sunbirds Deli

St. Peter's and North Laine, Brighton and Hove
12/12/2018: The Mezze platter is a phenomenal meal, filled with fresh ingredients and so many fantastic rich flavours. Definitely the most nutritious meal you can get in Brighton, and thats a hard bargain given that it is only £5.
01/12/2018: I had a delicious veggie mezze as a late lunch treat after a Saturday morning clinic . It was colourful , tasty and nutritious, served by cheerful staff . Excellent value for money .

Mezzet Dar

Molesey East, Elmbridge
13/12/2018: First time visiting Hampton Court the high street is full of pretty little eating places but this one looked especially welcoming. Lovely decor, friendly staff ,great ambiance and amazing food and wine. We loved everything
09/12/2018: I am giving Mezzet Dar a higher rating than it really deserves, simply because the food is extremely good - the Patatas Bravas are the best I have tasted. The dining experience for us was a disappointment. We had reserved a table weeks ahead, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We wanted to eat at 6:30 pm, but were contacted to say we would need to vacate the table by 8pm. This felt a little rushed for the occasion, so we thought it would be acceptable to turn up 15 mins early. We were taken to our table, which was a tiny affair tucked into a corner of the front window and right next to the door. During the short time we were there, the door was in frequent use, so not ideal. To make matters worse, there were two tables for four that were further inside the restaurant, one of which was empty for the duration of our visit. The other was given to a couple who had walked in with no reservation! We ordered some bread and olives as a starter to go with our drinks, but half way through, the tapas plates began to arrive in pairs (the table was so small there was no room for more than two at a time). With the cold wind coming through the door each time it opened, we didn't want our food to get cold, so we ate things as they arrived. We had ordered five plates, which was a good amount for the two of us. However the meal was over in no time, and between entering the restaurant and leaving, less than an hour had passed. As an anniversary meal out, this one will be memorable for all the wrong reasons.

Cafe Maroc

Old Hastings, Hastings
25/12/2018: We had the Christmas set course, the small menu means food is fresh and served fast. It’s reasonably priced and the corkage is cheap.... yes they have no alcohol license so bring what you want, £1 for beer and £3 for wine. One issue (but they warn you when you book) is that it’s cash only and the nearest cash point is 600-700m away.
18/12/2018: Good food, I had fish which was awesome. Only two downsides to it really. 1 - you need to bring Cash, in this day and age you would expect them to be connect. 2 - was sat right by the door...which wasnt a great experience.

The Kazbar

St Clement's, Oxford
16/12/2018: Very tired round the edges venue trying to be trendy but simply ridiculously chaotic and incompetent.
12/12/2018: We went here on Sunday 9/12/18 my wife n I to try a new place to eat n WOW what a fantastic place to eat n be in the decor makes you think that u are somewhere in Spain n not in oxford. The food we ate was truly fantastic so much taste n flavoursome the lovely staff help you in anyway u need. We will definitely be going back after Xmas in January n other times through the year. A big thank you to all the staff in the kazbar

Il Bistro Restaurant

Regency, Brighton and Hove, 30-45£
27/11/2018: We came across this restaurant purely by chance on our first night in Brighton. We were exploring The famous Lanes and we noticed that this restaurant was really busy and looked cosy. The menu outside sounded wonderful and they managed to find a table for us. The food and service were the best we have had in a while and we eat out a lot! I had the Gambas Pil Pil to start and my husband had the seafood pancake. Both gorgeous. For mains, we both chose the 9oz Rib eye steak with a sauce on the side. They were cooked to perfection! My husband has been a butcher for 45 years and was very impressed. We had a fantastic bottle of Cote De Rhône wine to accompany our meal. This restaurant is family owned and run and this shows with the attentiveness they give their customers.
25/11/2018: Had an amazing meal olives bread, French oinion soup, liver and bacon lamb chops. Banoffee pie cheese and biscuits. Excellent service great atmosphere absolutely superb food. Would highly recommend. Really nice friendly guys working in there. Very busy which is a good sign the best meal we have had in Brighton in the four days we have been here.

Cafe du Soleil

St Stephens, Canterbury, 30-45£
11/12/2018: We booked this based on Trip Advisor reviews as we were in Canterbury for weekend as 2 couples. The restaurant interior is lovely and has a nice relaxed ambience. We all had starters and mains which were delicious. Can definitely recommend the baked camembert sharing starter. Service was good and friendly and staff were apologetic when we arrived ten minutes early and our table wasn’t ready. Only 2 small moans, bread to go with mussels never arrived and had to ask for macaroni cheese that came with one of main meals. Apart from that was lovely and definitely would recommend and return here.
10/12/2018: The atmosphere is not overly cozy but the service and food are quality. Its location is also a positive drawing card.

Chestfield and Swalecliffe, Canterbury, <20£
03/01/2019: Rang Jojos at short notice and fitted us in for a table of 5.
02/01/2019: Nice atmosphere but staff rather lacking direction. Food served as it was prepared so came out in an odd order! Overall each dish had merit with the salads very good as was the calamari. Felt though on the expensive side at nearly £40 a head.

St. Peter's and North Laine, Brighton and Hove
09/12/2018: Highly recommend the 'Thunder' houmous - it has incredible amounts of garlic in, half roasted, half raw. Lovely staff too.
03/12/2018: Support local independent traders like the guys at Smorl’s. Delicious hummus and falafels. Garlic lovers go for the Thunder Garlic hummus !

Lebanese Nights

Eton and Castle, Windsor and Maidenhead, 20-30£
11/12/2018: Great food, good service, nice wine, nice price. It was quiet when we went on a Tuesday evening so the service was quick. We ordered a set menu for four of us. The food kept on coming and it was all good. Will go again!
02/12/2018: Enjoyed a night out with friends. Food great, drinks expensive though, service slow. Toilets really need cleaning. Advise manager to sit on the loo and look at the walls and floor area.

Meopham North, Gravesham, 20-30£
01/01/2019: Great Restaurant. Excellent service. The cocktails are great and the food is amazing, well presented and very tasty! I would definitely go again!
01/01/2019: Me my husband and 6 of our friends spent New Years Eve at Bartellas, its the 5th time we have been. The evening was really enjoyable the atmosphere was magical, the food was superb, the waiting staff efficient and very friendly, the DJ played varied music,i can really recommend New Years Eve at Baertellas......thank you for a great night

Tom At Twenty One

Queenborough and Halfway, Swale
23/11/2018: We have been to this restaurant a few times. We have always found it to clean, tidy and most importantly food was amazing. Not many places on the island where you can find this type of food, so lots of healthy options is most refreshing. Definitely will be back again, keep up a good work.
22/10/2018: Typed in best breakfast in kent and Emily at 21 did not disappoint. The big breakfast was fantastic, so my husband said and the eggs (which were perfectly cooked) and salmon on toast were delicious. We will definitely be returning 😊
