The best places never deliver. This is one of those places. The kebabs are fabulous. The donor meat is tender and yummy, thin strips with no hard bits of bone, the chicken is tender and flavoursome and the beef is nice. All char grilled right in front of you. The salad is top notch. Fresh and cut perfectly, serverd with salt and lemon juice. This is always a good sign of a proper kebab house. If you can buy a kebab from here and not finish it there is something wrong lol I have an eating disorder and I plough these beauties down to the paper, nan and all. Chilly sauce is beautiful compliment to the meat and veg and a generous amount but you can ask and get it on the side in a tub. I'm not a kebab meat fan but this place is something different. If you don't walk or drive down and give this place a try.. your missing out. Id give ten stars if possible. Perfect best donor kebab 🥙🍢 ☺️😎👌🏼

We always go here every weekend for a nice doner and chicken kebab! The best kebab in town, staff are lovely and very generous with portions..

Had chicken kebab it was horrible don't know what cut it was but it was hard and inedible asked for salad with extra onion but didn't get any onion at all! Definitely won't be going again.. Waste of £10!!!

Me & my partner got an XL kebab to share, we were recommended this place & gone back few times. Best kebab shop in Castleford. A shame they don't do delivery but other than that I recommend.

had a large donner this evening ,kebab meat was warm at best and very greasy and pitta bread seemed like it was from previous day, wont be going again and ill be warning people off it

I don’t know how you can be a takeaway without a delivers service! I was told This was the best kebab place in castleford but it was quite honestly one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. I had the beef kebab, one of two ordered. They told Me that they didn’t have enough meat to cover the order and asked if they could supplement one with donner meat which was fine. The meal came with pitta but the meat was put on top of it rather than in it! It came covered in veg, so much so that it made the pitta soggy and because there was no container provided and was just wrapped in paper, went straight through the wrapping. The meat was hard, chewy and well over cooked. The donner meat was ok but no what I really wanted. Over all I’d AVOID this place and I won’t be coming back

WOW .... What a kebab... I got a Mixed kebab with everything... Lamb kebab meat , flame grilled chicken, salad , sauce all on a pitta ..... mmmmmmm........ Cheers guys 🙏🏻👍🏻... I Will Be Back !!

I asked for 1 meal and got a completely different one, I took it because It was late and I friends waiting for me but it was cold and very greasy. It had things on it that I didn't ask for so it was a wasted meal which I paid for, avoid this place, I got square sausage as steak substitute and it was horrible

The kebabs are out of this world, the only downside ia, they dont deliver, which for someone who loves there kebabs and dont have a car, it's upsetting when i really really fancy my favourite kebab and can't get one, otherwise i would 100% recommend.

Well it's years since I've been here and ususally after a drink late at night but I've been fancying a kebab for ages so I went last weekend at tea time. I got two medium donner kebabs and they were amazing. The service was good with pleasant staff and the freshness of the salad was amazing.

Food flat cold bought two kebabs wouldn’t answer on the phone so had to go down… waited about 30 mins for two kebabs? Got them home they hadn’t put lids on so it’s gone all over my car seat seeped everywhere everything was soddend and it was flat cold no of us have eaten it. Absolutely rotten customer service arguing and speaking over the top of me when I called he didn’t answer the first ten times I rang him. Ask for salad separate and he gave me one portion. Rude nasty bloke on phone 15 years I’ve been coming here so all my friends an family but guess what they won’t be now and I’m ringing trading standards said he would replace salad an chilly but not meal as I stood and watched him make it… funny that I was in my car so not only a lair but a thief too stay away from here scruffy run down shop. Kebab house at glasshoughton from now on boys keep ya soggy salad and ya out of date chilly am good

The kebab wasnt bad,the salad was good as always nice an fresh but the meat was greasy. The yogurt sauce was nice though.🙂

Have always come here for a kebab but recently just had food poisoning from here! It was the only thing I ate and I was severely ill, won’t be returning.

Had two medium (the smallest) kebabs with all the salad, which is a huge amount. Great guys, great service, great price! I shall be going back again and again. If you like a kebab, then this is the place for you.

This is the best kebab place in Castleford!! It only does kebabs and does them perfectly! £5 for a large is a steal and the staff are really friendly. It's the only place to go!

I live in Canada and visited the UK last year. My brother in law took us here and I ordered a small. It was a huge portion for a “small”. The owners were wonderful. It was absolutely delicious. I’m back again and it was one of my first “must do’s”. It was just as delicious as I remembered from last year and the service just as good.

Untouchable, consistently excellent quality and service. Genuinely prefer to ones I’ve even had in Greece, Cyprus and Turkey.

If you want food poisoning then by all means buy a kebab from here but you will regret in the next day.

Always good but now I'm on diet I'll have to get a chicken kebab. Salad is always fresh & plentiful.

It’s back to it’s beautiful best and the food from here is wonderful. It’s called the kebab grill as that’s all they sell. There is no chips on the menu but the kebabs are fab.

This place WAS amazing. Then I stopped going due to poor hygiene and terrible attitude. I revisited last week and it was very clean, fresh and ..... Friendly.

Went here for tea for doner kebab and the staff had been smoking outside they came back in shop never washed there hands and started serving.

If you just want a doner kebab and nothing else, because they don't do anything else, you've hit the jackpot.

Do not do nanns, very disappointed, to ages to get food and unfortunately it was fed to the dog. It was so disappointing, this is all the really do. Kebab on pitta not very big, not nice sorry

Well what can I say about this dos hole, beautiful kebabs I’m not gunna lie but to be honest that’s all they sell they don’t even do chips so they’ve gotta get the kebabs right I suppose, you know your in for a good kebab when you walk in and there’s 6 fat cas lasses queuing up!!!! Ps Iv recommended the dinner kebab if you don’t like kebabs they do salad in a pita see they even look after the veggies awesome

I’m always amazed this place survives as the blokes make Mr Grumpy look like Michael McIntyre.They only do kebabs and NO CHIPS is a clear sign in the shop.They prepare everything fresh and the chicken kebabs are probably a reasonably healthy option.I’m just not sure the poor service is outweighed by the food?

Ordered a chicken kebab from here for evening tea and the chicken wasn’t cooked enough I started bin Ill the following day I went to see my gp and stated it was food poisoning I will never go back here again and new customer beware!!

Went for mixed kebab only to be told they had run out of chicken what? It’s meant to be a fast food shop right?because there was a few in the shop the staff wanted rid of them ASAP so they couldn’t be bothered to do me a mixed kebab so I walked out the staff here are losing money here but that’s there choice I think this shop is slowly going down hill .

Went for doner at 5pm expected fresh meat until I got it home only to realise the meat had been reheated it was dry and tasteless this kebab shop has gone down hill and I can’t see it lasting very Long if they give customers last nights doner I’m disgusted with the service here it’s meant to be fresh but not always the case.

Great little kebab shop, X-large all the way, fresh salad + 1 or 2 tubs of chili sauce is what i recommend!!

The staff here go outside smoking come back in shop and don’t wash there hands! I’ve seen them put there hands on there sweaty face and they don’t wash there hands and there handling food don’t think they know what hygiene is! They also leave meat out in hot temperatures I’m surprised no one has had food poisoning! I no Longer go to this shop it’s gone down hill the kebabs are no Longer the best Papa Dinos at glasshoughton are far better and the hygiene is a higher standard.

Although the kebab itself is ok the guys serving and the customer service is a joke. They NEVER answer the phone so placing an order is impossible. The hygiene is shocking, an example is using the same tongs to pick up everything from the veg with all sorts of previous stuff still stuck to the implements like chilli sauce for example. They don't even warm up the pitta bread or put anything inside it, they just plonk everything on top of the cold pitta bread which in my opinion is just lazy. The place itself is a disgrace so all in all not the best place even though some people clearly love it. Anyway that's my opinion. Hope it helps someone before becoming ill.

For me these are the best kebabs in castleford - the steak burgers they do are to die for , and its all fresh salad and chilli is not too hot

I ordered kebab over the phone was told come for collection in 20mins when I got there I had to wait another 15mins and the person serving the kebab was rude and the kebab tasted horrible I won't be going back there again .!

El kebab de carne estaba bien, pero no tan buenos como los de la zona. El kebab de carne a la parrilla en Marmaris hightown es mucho mejor. Pero el tamaño de la porción no es igual de bueno y también más caro.

Este lugar está justo bajando la calle de mi oficina. Que es un problema. Porque la comida siempre olía fenomenal y estoy destinado a ser en una dieta. De todas maneras me tentados por un kebab con regularidad y siempre buen sabor. Además, el propietario es un verdadero tipo simpático guay - iraní. Creo que el otro chico que trabaja con él es de Kosovo. De todos modos es un juego multi-National y aporta una buena variedad de la cocina local. Me gustan estos chicos y conseguir comida allí con regularidad. muchas otras personas que también. Un amigo mío en coche de Leeds para usarlo. debe pasar una docena otras tiendas de kebabs en el camino, así que supongo que dice algo!

sido kebabs interesantes desde aquí ya que tenía 18 o así y ahora estoy 47. Y todavía se hacen un gran Kebabs. No es realmente incluso cambiado mucho en todos los años, acabo de mucho más caro de lo que era cuando nadie sabía qué kebabs! Anyone from Castleford will already know about Kebab Grill. Tucked away down Sagar Street it looks like a run down shop on the verge of closing down but don't be fooled. The donner kebabs are the best in town, cheap and with plenty of meat topped of with heaps of fresh salad and a shake of salt and lemon. The chilli sauce does seem to have been diluted over the years (not sure if they changed the recipe) and lacks to burn you might find elsewhere. The chicken and special kebabs are also excellent but don't be surprised if you arrive late in the night and they have run out, they're always cooked to order. They don't do pizzas, curries, cheesy chips or any other nonsense, ignore the menu, get an extra large donner and you're set. Sure the staff aren't what you'd get at a TGIs but after a night on the beer I just want to go in, get food and eat it, not be asked how my day has been.

This small kebab house is ultimately the finest kebab I have tasted, there is ample salad including white cabbage, red cabbage & other trimmings. Once you have tried one you will be hooked. They serve kebabs only no curries etc, which is why the kebabs are so good.

Ok the good bits - the kebabs are great nice meat with plenty of proper salad, they put other takeaway kebabs to shame. The bad bits - staff are a bit ignorant, rude and a bit pervy also ive seen them handle raw chicken then serve kebab meat which isnt helped by the fact they dont wear food gloves which is why we dont visit anymore and the chilli sauce is HORRIBLE, its basicly chilli flavoured water.

Im quite ashamed to say it but I'm a bit of a 'kebab' expert and tried many a donner in all manner of places and Ive come to the conclusion the this place is the best so far! Its a bit of a pokey hole with two things on the menu(both of which are kebab based) and really does seem to 'boast' that they DONT DO CHIPS! Good prices-good service and don't be put off by the decor. It really is what it says on the sign-no more no less.

It feels wrong giving five stars to a very basic looking takeaway, especially when the menu boasts that they don't serve chips. And even more so that they only do kebabs, and principally donner, which if we believe the hype is not right cracking. Although the chicken is proper and beautifully done too. But it all depends on what you're after. Whilst this place only does kebabs, they do them far better than anywhere else. And after a night drinking round town, this is as good as it gets. And in fact, the only kebab I would contemplate ordering sober (and have done many times).So why so much better than every other place that also do every kebab imaginable? Well the donner meat is properly cooked, thinly sliced, and served in abundance. The chicken is freshly grilled (to order, so be prepared to wait, but it's worth it). The pitta bread is just perfect. The chilli sauce is just right, not thick and gloopy, not thin, not mind blowingly hot, but with a slight kick. But the real joy here is the selection of salad. White and red cabbage, onion, lettuce, a garnish of cucumber and tomato. Plus a pickled chilli. And the chilli looks like it will kick, but go for it, the icing on the cake. And the shake of salt and lemon just seems to bring the whole affair to life and give these kebabs the edge.This place is a takeaway and doesn't offer eating in. But in my (not quite) fifty years I can honestly say serves the best ever kebabs and defo the perfect supper after a hard night drinking. And cheap as chips, even if they don't do them. But believe me, you don't need 'em! Big portions.
