Dit is een heel leuke ervaring om erbij te hebben bij je tripje in Londen. Dit is een leuke high tea met een verrassend interieur en chique bediening. Je krijgt een assortiment aan taartjes boterhammen en scones. Ze hebben ook heel gekke toiletten (zie foto). Het is inderdaad wat aan de duurdere kant, maar je betaald wel voor een goede high tea en de belevenis errond. Heel blij dit is gedaan te hebben!

We had coffee and pastry at the parlour in Sketch. Although, the staff were helpful, the st honore that we ordered was hard and difficult to eat. They also charged us for charity without asking and calculated VAT on it as well as service charge. This is unacceptable and waste of our time and money.

This place doesn’t disappoint! This was our 4th time returning to this beautiful place. The room is gorgeous and the servers are attentive to your every need. The food was absolutely delicious too! And of course you must make an obligatory visit to the loo!

Always such a vibe. Drinks are fun, music sets the mood beautifully and the service is so attentive. The decor is to die for.

It's a cool concept, in terms of style and decor. However, there are few vegetarian options, I had a burger that was comprised primarily of cabbage, with a garnish. Hardly balanced and not very tasty. The maitre'd appeared harassed and annoyed with us for detaining him on a brief query.On a second occasion, our waitress appeared unable to communicate well ( mumbled softly) and was inadequate in addressing a query concerning allergens. We won't be back for a third time. A five star price tag with food and service falling behind.

Had a vegan dish ; ( not a vegan btw) The Arancini. . (Fried rice balls). Incredible flavours ! Rum baba dessert with licorice custard. Divine. Be sure to ask sommelier Rory for pairing recommendations. He suggested the Lust strobl Austrian . A perfect pairing and Rory is Knowledgeable amiable and knows his trade.

One evening, 4 of us attempted to enter sketch for a couple of evening drinks. We were two gay male couples and we was informed due to no females with us we aren’t allowed entry. Sketch have not responded on the matter.

Sketch Lecture Room & Library may have three Michelin stars, but their inflexibility and lack of basic empathy make them undeserving of the title. We tried to cancel a reservation less than 48 hours in advance due to illness. Instead of showing understanding or adapting to the situation, the restaurant insisted on enforcing their rigid cancellation policy. They even expected the sick guest to attend, despite a fully booked restaurant where our table could have easily been given to someone else. Rules are important, but they should never come at the expense of common sense. Their so-called solution? Offering another date when they knew we were tourists and the restaurant would be closed for the next two weeks. A three-star Michelin restaurant should embody not just good food but also flexibility, understanding, and hospitality. Sketch fails miserably in this regard. Avoid it—you deserve better.

Good food, but expensive. Nice atmosphere with most people dressed up, but bathrooms are totally overrated for some egg-shaped porter-potties where consistently a group of girls takes pictures, instacrowd. Probably comes with the price point that many guests have quite an attitude, treating staff poorly and shouting commands - gave me an embarrassingly feeling of others having lack of manners, but that's clearly not on the venue. Nice touch that you're neither talked into drinks nor in any other consumption and getting a nice surprise recognizing our anniversary.

Really special tea experience with modernised classic cakes and sandwiches, friendly staff and great live music from a string trio. The bathrooms are a talking point, definitely not your stuffy hotel vibes if you want a classic tea but in a more modern atmosphere.

Me and my friends visited London from Stockholm in Jan -25 and I booked this restaurant around the same time we booked the trip itself as I knew we had to come here. I’ve been once before in 2018 and I loved it, but this experience was totally different. The second we stepped inside we were warmly welcomed by the staff. When ordering they were super accommodating of all food allergies and they showed such expertise in what they were serving. The food was INCREDIBLE, and totally worth all the money we spent. Once we were ready to leave we met Louise, who not only remembered exactly what we had ordered (as she took our food order) and some of the things we talked about, but she also showed us around the other parts of the restaurant and told us all the history behind the building and the art. She was so so lovely and she made our whole experience 10/10. The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere was amazing as always, very luxurious. They even had a live band that evening that played some slow jazz music which made the experience even better! Thank you Sketch for an u forgettable night, I will definitely be back the next time I am in London!

It was my first time visiting the UK, so Sketch was my very first proper Afternoon tea. It's set the bar extremely high! Prior to my arrival, I had to reschedule the reservation. The receptionist and host Katrina were very nice and understanding. Upon arrival to the restaurant, you would not believe how spacious it is inside. You're greeted by bursts of color with joyful art and smiles from staff. Although I was only one person, Katrina made sure I had a fantastic table with a clear view of the whole room (perfect for taking in the atmosphere and people watching!). And the atmosphere was magical. As I waited, I checked out the famous bathroom with the egg-like pods, offering ambient sound and music. It felt like being inside a kaleidoscope space capsule. Each detail of the parlour is breathtakingly beautiful in a golden hue. The teacups match the art with a whimsical pattern that illicits mad hatter vibes. Playing in the background, a trio of violists played 'thank u, next", "A million dreams", and even "stacy's mom". From the moment I sat down to the second I finished, service was impeccable (and I did not feel rushed at all). Henry, dressed to the nines in a suit accompanied by a pink tie and pocket square, took great care of me, ensuring I had tasted almost every tea and enough to eat. And indeed I ate — and left bursting. Each finger sandwich was thoughtfully designed. My favorite? The Salmon. Don't overlook the humble egg salad on white - a refreshing, lighter break between powerful flavors. Unwrapping the yellow bow to the chicken felt like opening a Christmas present. Then, onto the best scones I've had in my life, perfectly warm and pillowy on the inside. Cream, then jam or jam, then cream...either way was a dream. I had 3. Don't skip the raisin. The pastries take you on an adventure. From the jacond sponge to the pistachio opera cake to the phenomenally addictive battenburg or the chocolate bomb, each were truly a treat. The macaron, a citrus-infused gem. Favorite teas: White peony, green tea, darjeeling, and even the earl grey with bergamot. This experience was worth every penny. I'd certainly come back to do it all again. Word to the wise: pace yourself a bit and save room for pastries. It'll be tough to resist, though.

The aesthetic ambiance and services were impeccable, but the food was just ok.

The rooms are good designed, as a designer I really enjoyed to looking around and especially as the known bathrooms they have. We had just drinks (house coctail) inside, which are overpriced and not that good. Basic liquor selections as all pubs and bars, not different tastes inside. Service; friendly. Music; is changing on the day, today we had jazz (sunday). I was expecting more, we couldnt hear too much. Is just a good option to take some instagram pics nothing more.

We had dinner in The Lecture Room last week and it was truly memorable. The staff go above and beyond to make sure your expectations are exceeded. The food was exceptional and everything was presented beautifully. I had one of the best cocktails of my life - an aviation sour. The decor is mesmerising, I love how everything glitters. Would 100% as an experience for a special occasion.

A nice setting for what was a really overpriced afternoon tea.

The hidden bar that's under the egg toilets is cute and vibey, its small but quite a fun place to get a drink. you have to go through the restaurant to get to it. the cocktails in general are really good, a bit on the pricier side, but it would be with the location and general aesthetic of inside. the bar at the front is also fun!

Overall experience was good, except to bite into bones in a salmon sandwich slice. Was disappointed as I didn't expect that to be missed via kitchen staff who prepared it. Didn't expect it in a well rated place! It did make me feel cautious and kind of ruined the food experience and unfortunately it did put me off from eating further finger slice salmon sandwiches! And I do really enjoy salmon. Ruined my afternoon birthday tea celebration! However it was resolved by the manager with cocktails and apologies and rest of the experience was good. Staff were all nice but could have been a bit more attentive. As this was the situation and experience after biting into the boned salmon sandwich. Hence 3* rating! Desserts, tea's and cocktails were spectacular! The art work and room was buzzing alive with live band playing musical! Interior designs of each room was very peculiar, even wash room was another piece of art! Would recommend for visual and atmosphere experience. If I was to attend again, I may refrain from salmon or fish due to that experience. I do feel the place is overrated apart from the art works and displays that makes the atmosphere nice.

Went to Sketch yesterday for the Afternoon Tea experience. This is served at The Gallery on the ground floor, which is a beautiful room with pink-salmon and gold decorations. Food was delicious, great selection of sandwiches (salmon and ricotta was amazing) and cakes (Pistacchio and berries cake was delicious) Impeccable service by a lovely lady which i don't remember the name (table 11 in case you'll read this Sketch Team). My partner is pescatarian and they accommodated it without any problem. We had a chat with Gigi and with another lady who explained us the story of Sketch. Thank you so much for wonderful experience, we are looking forward to come back!

We had to cancel our reservation less than 48 hours in advance due to illness. Instead of understanding the situation, the restaurant forced us to attend, pushing a sick person to dine there. With a fully booked restaurant, they could have easily offered our table to other guests who would have appreciated it. What’s worse, they claim to have “helpfully” offered us another date, knowing full well we were tourists and that the restaurant would be closed for the next two weeks. It’s shocking that such a prestigious restaurant would hide behind rigid policies at the expense of basic common sense. For the first time, I’m writing a review of a three-star restaurant without even mentioning the food—because everything else about this experience was so nonsensical. Pathetic.

An unbeatable restaurant. The decoration of the different areas is fantastic, although perhaps the least striking was the one where we had dinner. The food is amazing. The very expensive and incomprehensible wine that the only affordable one they have on the menu is not recommended. They are very attentive.

I would recommend! 2nd time here in a different room on the inside and had a great time. Enjoyed birthday brunch for 1 and everyone working was so delightful. The Espresso Martini was delicious but spendy... £20. I got the Steak Bavette and spinach a le creme. The steak was exquisitely cooked to medium rare and the au jus that came with it paired perfectly. I didn't necessarily care for the warm gem lettuce but the spinach was to die for. My lovely server gave a complimentary birthday treat to me after I finished my meal! The coat check worker was phenomenal! The egg bathrooms were great 😇 I will be back! 5/5 once again

Spectacular experience, decidedly instagrammable environment

Had an incredible birthday dinner here last week. I would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff for making the evening so special. The staff were so kind and attentive! Lovely selection of food. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the chefs curated a variety of spectacular dishes. Beautiful interiors and cozy atmosphere. It was great to visit again; I hadn’t been back since The Gallery was renovated.

Good for dates or dinner with parents.

Worth the hype. We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks and thereafter a three course meal with an amazing exceptional bottle of wine, as suggested by our sommelier. Atmosphere is exceptionally and the food is worth every penny (which is a true complement as it’s a particularly expensive place, the bill was around £400 for the two of us which is up there with the most expensive places I have dined at over the past few years). Would recommend as a treat, and we do intend on visiting again albeit just for special occasions in the capital.

Sketch - afternoon tea - was a great experience especially during the holiday season. Very very cool place like everyone always describes.

Went to “the glade” for breakfast. The food is of great quality. Paying for the atmosphere and decoration as well, which is alright. Otherwise a bit overpriced.

5/5. Very much giving Bridgerton. I went for afternoon tea and sat in their main dining room. It was so beautiful with touches of African art on the wall. There was a ballerina dancing while I was nibbling on my avocado sandwich and a violinist and cellist playing while I was watching my waitress pour my champagne. The tea menu is bottomless so order as many finger sandwiches and desserts as you would like. I didn’t over do it and still was full upon leaving. This would be my go to place if I lived in London. Oh and caviar is over rated to me but the caviar was so delicious.

High concept with impeccable ambiance. The breakfast was very good with no complaint, nice and fresh seemingly California inspired cuisine, but you’re coming for the ambiance and concept.

Absolutely the worst food I’ve had in a restaurant. If I hadn’t been rushing to a Westend show would complained. Decor and toilets great but the food was just awful.

Sketch what happened? My review used to say this was my favourite place to go in London… but their standards have massively slipped. The last two times I have gone the food has not only not been average but it’s been bad- chewy fish, black burnt toast, avocado puree with no flavour. I used to love my time at sketch and the experience was worth every penny but now it’s a huge disappointment.

I had a superb experience at Sketch for their afternoon tea. The overall ambiance was decadent and playful, creating a special atmosphere. The savory items were surprisingly good, especially considering I’m not typically a fan of sandwiches. I also enjoyed the tea specially the lavender camomile & lemongrass. I did find the sweets to be a bit of a letdown. They weren't as exciting or complex as I had hoped, and I was expecting more creativity. That said, the presentation was still lovely. Service was absolutely excellent throughout the experience. The staff were extremely attentive, with one standout: the lovely person who escorted me to my table took extra care in showing me to the perfect spot. She thoughtfully gave me the option to choose my table, even walking me through the room to ensure I was comfortable, especially as a solo diner. Additionally the live string music and ballerina added a nice touch. All in all, it was a memorable and enjoyable afternoon, and I would recommend it for anyone seeking a refined, personal experience.

I came at the bar and wanted to order from the bar tender and he refused to take my order he said (i only take bar orders) i said okay am on the bar he is like no order from the other guy and the other guy keeps acting like he dosent hear

Such an interesting and artsy place to visit. We went for the breakfast and it was tasty. It is a bit pricey for the amount you get but for the experience I would say it’s worth it. Would recommend to visit at least once. ;)

food was honestly disappointing, having to pay over 140£ on food that taste just like salt… i had high expectations. I don’t usually ask to take out service charge but it was a terrible experience. However the service itself was decent.

Always wonderful, a go to for special occasions

I spent New Year’s Eve at Sketch with my family, and it was a truly great experience. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere was perfect for the celebration. There was a little miscommunication with the timing of our reservation, mostly due to a mistake on my part—I had written down the wrong hour after a phone conversation. Despite this, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, and everyone was incredibly professional. The food was absolutely delicious and so where are the drinks! The only thing I would have wished for was the ability to order some additional sides. We’re big eaters and love trying different dishes, but I understand that being late likely limited those options, so I cannot fault them for that. Overall, we had a wonderful night, and I’m very thankful for the effort the team put in to make our New Year’s celebration so special.

Chic and elegant restaurant, with delicious plans. But we were treated to terrible service. No time to finish the dish as the dessert menu is before our eyes. He clears the table to make you understand to finally leave a service not consistent with the price and quality of the food!

I had lunch in the glade with my family today and although it was a pretty instagram worthy location, the food was average - I’ve had better burgers at five guys and the dessert tasted a bit old. The service could be friendlier but as the location is nestled off a bustling regent street it’s a nice change from the franchises close by. Plus it’s not as expensive as it’s made out to be.

I had reservations for lunch in the parlor. The best part of my experience was going to the toilet where I peed in an egg. The bathroom could be more functional. The cocktails were good, but overpriced, and the food was a big disappointment. I will not visit again. Please get rid of the beetroot ketchup. I spent about 120 pounds for two people.

The vibes were definitely cool. It felt almost like a west Anderson film or an episode of black mirror (the washrooms). However, the food I would say was very alright, but the price was extremely expensive. My partner and I got breakfast at the Glade so I cannot say for the rest of the rooms within sketch. I thought it was a cool and fun experience and interesting to visit but I don’t think I would come here specifically for the food.

So much fun for the whole family! Loved the non alcoholic wine option. Loved the ballerina and the live music, the food was great and the bathrooms were adorable. Great service and very sweet host and servers.

Disappointing Experience at Sketch We recently visited Sketch for a business dinner, expecting fine dining given its reputation and pricing. Unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations. The food was underwhelming—average at best. For instance, one of the “best” dishes we had, the filet, was served with just five fries as garnish. To make matters worse, I found a piece of a toothpick in the spinach. This is completely unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. Service was chaotic and unprofessional. My plate was removed while others at the table were still eating, creating unnecessary pressure and ruining the flow of the meal. The final straw was being rushed to order dessert because, apparently, our table had a time limit. After spending nearly £600 on a meal, including starters and two mains each, being hurried along like that was shocking. Frustrated, we asked to have the service charge removed, which I never usually do. To his credit, the Italian manager did apologize and tried to make amends by accommodating us at the American Bar with a complimentary glass of champagne. However, even this gesture fell flat as the waiter initially brought one glass for three people! After some back-and-forth, they finally brought the appropriate number of glasses. Overall, this was a disappointing experience. Sketch charges fine dining prices but delivers food and service comparable to a budget eatery. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

I came here with my sister for afternoon tea 2 weeks ago and had a horrible experience. Although sketch has a beautiful atmosphere, the food and service was lacking. When we first got seated, no one brought water or the tea that we ordered for about 45 minutes. The sandwiches and pastries were flavorless and most of them were extremely oily. After eating here, our stomachs felt heavy and gross. I have had Afternoon Tea at about 10 different places and this was by far the worst experience. I believe that this place is overhyped. If you are visiting London, I recommend checking out other Afternoon Tea experiences. This one is overpriced and the food is not good at all.

Very well designed venue a few steps from Piccadilly. I was on a midweek evening in December, the welcome was excellent and the dining room staff was very present and polite. Variety of rooms available based on the occasions and the various phases of the day, breakfast, brunch, lunch, 5 o'clock tea, dinner and after dinner. I opted for a drink around 10.30pm. Drink list not very appealing for my tastes, although they also give the possibility to choose international cocktails. Drinks lacking in flavor that leave no mark. Wandering through the various rooms I must say that for some I found the creation and choice of furnishings very original. Even just for the bathrooms this place is worth a visit. When I return to London I will also try their cuisine. For the moment I recommend visiting the place because there is an excellent atmosphere.

This place is a gem, interior design gives fairytale vibes. The atmosphere (live jazz then house music), and the waiters were marvellous. I went for dinner at The Gallery and was not totally convinced by the food though, quite basic, but good. Cocktails were delicious.

As a huge fan of the owner of this restaurant, and as an ex-employee, this restaurant is the one of kind. The food in all different areas is fantastic, and the most iconic bathroom is worth visiting in every seasons, as you know that it’s changed by different artists. I always take my friends when they come to London, no matter what occasions are. You can choose the Parlor for casual breakfast or lunch, the gallery for fantastic afternoon tea experience or Friday night out for example. They have various of tea selection in the gallery room. My favorite season that you must visit is Christmas!

Huge shout out to Lionel. I completely messed up our reservation and he came through for us. The food was 10/10 but the people who work this place are on another level. Thank you so much to the staff.

The service here absolutely blew. It was like they were actively ignoring us, and we were all dressed nice and ordered a full dinner. Food was fine, drinks were good and vibes were cool, but for the terrible service and price, it was not worth it. Our reservation was for 8:30, wasn’t seated until after 9 and didn’t eat a bite of food until 10 pm. After complaining our food came quicker, and they were more attentive and ended up comping drinks. But by the end of the night we were in a terrible mood. Would not come again

Went for Afternoon tea with my partner who was very much looking forward to it - very underwhelming experience for the price. Didn't get seated until 15 minutes after the booking. Service very slow throughout the experience, being asked the same questions multiple times by different staff. Tea took an extraordinarily long time to arrive and was always tepid at best. Service not very attentive for replenishment of drinks. For the money in central London much better alternatives

We had dinner at The Gallery. The staff barely paid any attention to us. During our dessert we received the bill without asking. When we said something about this and said that this must be a mistake because we had not finished eating yet, the waiter said "okay" and came with the payment machine. Clearly didn't listen to what we said.

We had a table booked 2 months in advance with allergies noted and our table was cancelled last minute as Sketch decided they couldn’t accommodate. We then called a number of other London restaurants who were much more accommodating. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements DON’T BOTHER there are many more restaurants who do not discriminate just because of your allergies.

Beautiful beautiful venue but I found the service very strange.. as a former server I’m quite aware of this stuff. 1) I told the server I was pescatarian and so when she came back and I gave her my order of the vegan menu she was taken aback and said she already put my order in but didn’t tell me or ask me if that’s what I wanted?… 2) then tea took forever to get. Like 20 minutes. 3)I came alone and they never took away the second table setting… I had to ask them and that seemed to annoy them. 4) the sandwiches and such are supposed to be all you can eat but it very much seemed like they wanted me to just move to the next course so I didn’t ask for what I wanted and considering I’m paying around $260 CAD, I should probably get more than what I got haha. It was still a cool place to see! I just wouldn’t recommend it or go again. I’ll be looking for other tea spots on my next trip!

Amazing food and service. When they opened the lecture room to welcome us, it was spectacular, like stepping onto a stage. They accommodated my dietary requirements, serving me a fully vegan meal that transported me to another dimension.

Atmosphere is king at this place. With kids having lunch at the palour is a good way of enjoying this place

Loved the atmosphere and the place was impressive. Specially if you are visiting for the first time. Service average, nothing not bad, but not excellent, just a service. Food, its okay I guess. You come here for the atmosphere. Drinks are nice at the bar.

Difficult one, because i liked the place but you pay for the pretty sitting room rather for than excellent food.

I had a wonderful time at afternoon tea, and everything was simply delightful. The sandwiches and desserts stood out as particularly fantastic. I kicked off my experience with a lovely glass of champagne🥂 and then savored an array of delicious teas. The live music added a special touch, creating an atmosphere that was truly exceptional. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and I would definitely return to this place in the future! 🤍

Definitely an experience centric afternoon tea! We had such an amazing time and sketch is definitely iconic! Not a cheap afternoon tea but the experience was worth it! There was live music with violinists and ballerina shows through out. The design and atmosphere was non like any other and service was top notch! The food on the other hand was rather below average. Not very good honestly but others made up for that.

Only go here for the House of Hunter events! Unreal vibes and life music - love it !!!

Posto folle... nel cuore di Soho nascosto all'interno di un palazzo trovi questo posto in cui cinque, sei ambienti diversi ti accolgono per cocktail, spuntini, cena (all'ìinterno c'è anche un tre stelle...). Io mi sono limitato a un cocktail in un bar posto all'interno di una cupola con musica disco... il tutto indescrivibile, ma veramente top. Se pensi a un locale di altissimo livello a Londra questo è quello che cerchi, anzi, questi sono quello che cerchi. Ci ritornerò per capire meglio...

I nipped in last Tuesday afternoon and I must say, the staff were lovely right from the word go. Had this rather nice chap serving me - blonde fellow, though his name escapes me now. Being my first time there, he was an absolute star walking me through the menu. Kept popping by throughout to make sure everything was tickety-boo, offering fresh sandwiches and topping up my tea. The real treat was watching the ballet dancers while we dined, with some gorgeous violin music in the background! Had to dash off in the end to catch my train back to Paris, so they boxed up what I couldn't finish. Even threw in a couple of chocolates! The whole thing was spot on - everything came out quick as you like, and every single member of staff was proper lovely. Couldn't fault the service if I tried. Next time I'm in London, I'll definitely be making a beeline for this place.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
