Maroush Express in City of London, Westminster

The food was soooo nice. I had a house salad which was delicious and the 2 skewers and chips. There was a particular staff member, he said he was Egyptian. His service was perfecttt! Lovely Man.

First time going to Maroush in a very long time, so I was relying on memories of the place and what a disappointment. Food wasn't good, yet expensive for what we got. Service was alright, friendly but quite in a rush for us to order. Food came really quickly as well, which made sense as it is called 'express'. The interior was dated and impersonal. I guess next time we'll either do some research or give a go to one of the numerous restaurants on the road.

Halal lebanese restaurant. A very good juicy shawarma that is reasonably priced aswell as decent in size. Definitely recommended. The falafels were decent in taste.

Used to come here a lot years ago. It’s a very established spot on Edgware Road that’s been around for decades; however it’s not quite what it used to be, even if it looks exactly the same as it did 15 years ago. With so much competition and so many newer, better, more aesthetic Lebanese eateries, this place really only holds its value because it’s so entrenched on this famous road. Waited 15 minutes in the queue for a table. We were seated on a tiny table - not quite big enough for 3 people but hey! Food is served pretty quickly and is reasonably priced for the area but it is mediocre at best - it’s not bad but nothing special and nothing stood out to me, the flavours didn’t blow me away and I’d never pay these prices for this food anywhere else but for Edgware Road, it’s decent.

Lo que recibimos fue sorprendentemente pequeño: un kebab de shish, cinco alitas, tres cubos de carne y cuatro trozos de pollo. Lucharías por llamarlo bandeja de entrada, y mucho menos de salida. Para abultarlo, agregaron unos cuantos entrantes débiles con un precio de £ 5 – £ 10 , claramente esperando que pasara por una comida adecuada. No lo hizo. El servicio era igual de pobre — lento, desatenta y sin disculpas. Cuando planteé una queja en el mostrador, me dijeron (increíblemente) que el "plato para dos" solo incluye un plato principal para una persona, y el camarero debería haberme informado. Solo eso lo dice todo, y no, no pagué el cargo por servicio. Completamente engañoso, abrumador, y no vale la pena el dinero. No volveré, y sugiero que otros lo piensen dos veces antes de entrar.

Got the restaurant recommended and it was a really good experience. Really delicious food and nice staff. We picked up take away the next day as my girls loved the food.

Paid more than £50 for this little food . Not good

The food was alright. Nothing out of the ordinary for the price they charged. I got a cold boiled potato and informed our waiter about it. He just disappeared and I never saw that person again. The sad part is that don't have any beef dishes on the menu.

Tasty shawarma lamb & kofta and mix shawarma wrap

We have been visiting Maroush Express in London for over 20 years now, and the food is always excellent and very consistent. If you like Lebanese food it is an excellent choice and on our last visit Mouin introduced us to the lamp chops, we had always opted for the lamb kebabs but the chops were wonderful. The hommos, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj is always excellent and very reasonably priced. Mouin is always very attentive and courteous as are the rest of the staff. We look forward to many more visits. Five stars. Excellent service if you speak a little bit of Arabic. Sit down by 23.00 - no problem. Houmus is very good, falafel - not so sure. Prices are in the clouds. For what it is. Great atmosphere of a bazaar in Beirut or Damask. Lots of Markhaba and Markhabte heard. Try to learn a few basic Arabic phrases before going in!

We arrive with a family of 20 on a Friday evening. With limited seating the staff were accommodating and able to seat us all. However the food didn't match the hospitality. Bland

They have an amazing Shish Taouk plate, and their hot sauce is unbelievable.

I recently visited Maroush Express on Edgware Road with my family for a casual dining experience. While there were some positives, I found the experience somewhat underwhelming overall. On the bright side, the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and efficient, which made us feel welcome and well-cared-for throughout our meal. Additionally, the food was served promptly, which is always appreciated, especially when dining with family. However, I found the pricing to be on the higher side for what was offered. Our bill came to £97.60 for three people, which is more in line with what I’d expect to pay at a fine-dining restaurant, complete with a bottle of wine. Unfortunately, this didn’t feel justified given the overall quality and presentation of the food. Speaking of the food, it was just okay. I typically enjoy Lebanese cuisine and have had some wonderful dishes elsewhere, but the flavors here didn’t quite meet my expectations. While nothing was outright bad, the dishes were fairly average and lacked the richness and authenticity I’ve come to associate with good Lebanese food. In conclusion, while the service was excellent and the ambiance was fine for a casual meal, the combination of high prices and mediocre food left me feeling that the experience didn’t offer the best value for money.

Maroush Express is my go-to fast food in central London. Classic Lebanese menu with plenty of choices. My favorite is the hummous shawarma lamb, but I’ve enjoyed many more of their offerings. Service is quick, prices are a bit high, but reasonable considering the location. If I could suggest an area for improvement, the pita bread isn’t particularly good quality. Other than that, it’s a good option when you’re near Marble Arch.

Tabouleh is way below par. Not authentic. No bulgher wheat, onions, tomatoes. Parsley is not minced. On the other hand, shawarma wrap is AWESOME!

Popped in for dinner with my sister Saturday just gone, service and food was as normal fantastic, I wish they’d expand up north to Birmingham I’d use them daily, if you’ve not been it’s a must food so flavoursome and fresh, staff always helpful and friendly.

First time having Lebanese food and it was 10/10 🤩 everything is so flavourful and the staff were super nice! Really recommend the Hommos, Batata Harra & Chicken Shawarma wrap! (Don’t forget to ask for some garlic and chilli sauce for your potatoes 😋)

If you are looking for genuine, tasty, Lebanese food, this is your place. They also have good Lebanese wine and beer. In Edgeware Rd, only a couple of hundred yards walk from Marble Arch.

Do not go to this place unless you want to be glued to the toilet. Menu basic, the water wasn't even fresh and the bottle for some reason was already opened. The repercussion of having this was very detrimental and a lot of time wasted in the loo.

It’s a really nice place to go and ide recommend it as a place to go with family or friends or even by yourself, the staff were lovely and so accommodating and kept checking up on us and making good conversation, the outdoor seating is nice and we liked being there we didn’t even want to leave, I recommend the fresh juices (especially lemon) and the shawarmas are always a hit and I thank the staff for a nice evening

**Avoid at All Costs!** I had the misfortune of dining at Maroush Edgware Road this evening , and it was nothing short of a culinary disaster. From the moment I walked in, it was evident that this establishment lacks basic standards of hygiene and professionalism. The food was abysmal, to say the least. Not only was it served cold, but the lamb was practically raw, emitting a foul odor that made my stomach turn. It was evident that proper cooking techniques were completely disregarded, as the meat was burnt to a crisp on the outside yet raw and chewy on the inside. Even the simplest of dishes like chips were soggy and unpalatable. The lackadaisical attitude of the staff only exacerbated the already dismal experience. Not once did they bother to check if everything was satisfactory or even offer an apology for the appalling quality of the food. Their negligence and indifference speak volumes about the level of service one can expect at this establishment. In conclusion, save yourself the disappointment and steer clear of this restaurant . With its subpar food, careless staff, and overall lack of regard for customer satisfaction, this place is a disgrace to the dining scene on Edgware Road.
