We ordered 2 vegetarian full brunch with vegetables like mushroom, spinach, courgette and avocado with poached eggs. Only the egg and the avocado were served. Once we pointed it out that we were waiting for the food the waiter said Of course but after other 30 minutes he was just hiding in the kitchen. So no veggies available. They offered us a croissant instead. The quality of the egg, salmon and coffee is good but it is very poor however not expensive but I would say that with 6 tables maybe the service can be improved. Very nice coffee though

It is one of my favourite places in Brixton village. Love to come here for brunch -excellent full English; coffee and cake - the orange polenta or chocolate with a cappuccino; or dinner tapas style, middle eastern inspired - meatballs, pork wrap, falafel, best chips, crispy squid. Also buy home delicious sausages, bread (best in Brixton maybe even London) and dips. This is London so nothing is really cheap but excellent quality here. As small place, can be tricky to get table (no bookings) and staff sometimes amazing and sometimes a little distracted.

We ended up here on a Sunday morning and were lucky enough to get a table for two for brunch. Luckily there were heaters outside otherwise it may have been rather chilly. The food was tasty but it was tiny! I ordered a side of mushrooms, and rather than receiving a proper portion I got one! Other than that the eggs were nicely done and the sourdough was good. I probably will not go back here because of the portion sizes at the price it is which is a real shame as I can't fault the food other than that. If the cafe is reliant on repeat customers they should definitely re-think their portions.

We happened upon Wild Caper after being put off by the queue at Franco Manca, and I'm really glad we did! The food was fantastic and generously portioned - the smoked aubergine dip and the falafel were particular highlights but it was all really excellent. We didn't have dessert but we left really full, and had a bottle of wine, and the bill was only just over 40 pounds between the two of us. Service was also fantastic, really warm and friendly, made us feel right at home. We will go back for sure.

No complaints about quality of the food. The bacon was perfectly cooked, the eggs were fresh and had beautifully yellow yolks, the sour dough bread was delicious, but...I thought for what you got it seemed a little over priced - maybe that's Brixton gentrification for you. The 'extras' were what got me the most. I ordered a portion of spinach and my friend ordered mushrooms. She got one mushroom, I got I'd say about 20 leaves of spinach. All very lovely, just to me seemed a bit tight. If you're going to charge £1 for some spinach, at least give me a handful. The fresh orange was freshly squeezed and yummy, but a bit too much ice in it which obviously means less juice. Also, maybe this is a bit petty, but just in terms of the aesthetic, I prefer my poached eggs not prepared in those little devices that make them into a uniform shape, like something out of McDonald's.

This is a taps-y sort of place where you order 2-3 plates each and share. Service not the fastest, but at least you know they're always making everything fresh - for example the lamb kefte, which is worth the wait. If you're following a paleo-style diet this place is a godsend as you can happily fill up on grilled meats (pork belly recommended), fresh dips (made with olive oil - try the aubergine) and Greek salad. Interesting organic wines. Been there about 10 times now and the quality is consistent!

Went here today for brunch with my boyfriend. We both had eggs benedict/royale and the only thing we would change is the bread they come with. Having such amazing breads on display I don't see why they use a normal toast for this. The eggs and bacon/salmon were really good though. The place is really nice, just in Brixton Village. The area is extremely curious as around the neighborhood you can find from really dodgy shops to small independent coffee shops and a lot of nice places to eat.If they keep opening places like this it will become a wonderful area to walk around and have a bite.

I was desperately trying to google a place for breakfast whilst in Brixton a couple of weeks ago. Finally a local suggested a cafe and on the way there we stumbled across this one. Cosy and inviting with tables inside and out. Everyone was sitting close to one another which added to the atmosphere. Cakes and pastries were piled up and the menu made choosing one dish hard. I went for the full brekkie with sourdough and had hollandaise on the side. The coffee was great and the freshly squeezed orange juice (a bit overpriced at £2.80). The flavours in the food were amazing and the toast delicious. Honestly, I could have had it all again it was so delicious. Will struggle not becoming addicted to this place. Check out the markets and Pop Brixton whilst there. With friendly service would highly recommend.

I made eye contact several times with a member of staff, but she didn't make any move towards us - she was more interested in standing inside and chatting to her colleagues. There were only 2 other tables occupied, so they were hardly run off their feet. In the end we left and had breakfast in a nearby café called Valhalla, which was absolutely excellent. In terms of the quality of the breakfast, there are few better establishments in London for the price. Would recommend it to anyone in the area. As a reasonable authority on a full English, I would give it five stars. Unfortunately we sat outside sandwiched between some of the most awful people in the world. I really don't exaggerate that at all. The phrase "I really don't need my parents" was quickly followed by the "folie douce in Val D'isere is a bit too commercial I prefer the one in Val Thorens" I found it almost unbearable to sit next to these incredibly spoilt unpleasant girls. And there in lies the caper's main problem. The space is too small and whilst it is unfair to blame the establishment for the clientele, it's a real lottery and if you don't want to hear the mindless warbling whilst trying to digest your delicious breakfast head elsewhere. Sharing a table isn't for everyone, but if you're happy to get stuck in then by all means as I said you can't find a better breakfast. Would avoid the Orange juice though as it's fairly small. Other than that all the food is exceptional.

Get a seat outside or by the window if you like to people watch (who doesn't?) as it's a busy through fare of people on the weekend.Menu is small but I expect you should find something you like on there. I had the full wild breakfast, which, while not having every item you would associate with a "full" breakfast, was nice, the sausage in particular with very good. They also serve nice coffee. Service was appalling. Waited 45 minutes after ordering. When asked if the was coming the waitress nonchalantly said "in a few minutes" with no apology or explanation. Various Dishes came and was either burnt, dry, tasteless or greasy. For the majority of the time the 3-4 waiting staff stood around chatting to eachother, or briefly talking abruptly and sarcastically talking to customers. Before leaving we remarked about the waiting time and the poor quality of the food, in a non-confrontational and polite way, and were met with grimacing, rolling eyes and little else. The staff then recongregated and proceeded to teeter and share disapproving looks towards our table. We left with the taste of burnt charcoal in our mouths and very unsatisfied bellys! Overall a massive disappointment and really letting the Brixton side down! I really hope that this isn't the start of a bigger problem, and that due to the amount footfall, Brixton will generally start devaluing customers and the customer experience. For the past few years that has really been at the heart of Brixton and is the reason that enabled the town to develop and attract a diverse crowd. Wild Caper, you are really letting the side down.

We sat down and ordered the taramasalata and a couple of other sharing plates. After the first mouthful of taramasalata I knew we were in for a brilliant evening and immediately all prejudice vanished. THE best taramasalata I have ever eaten and I have since bought fellow foodie friends back to this quaint restaurant to try more of their culinary delights. Not to be missed is of course the taramasalata, lemon infused chickpeas and the calamari. A Cozy Mediterranean Brunch in Wimbledon Village After a delightful 2-mile walk through Wimbledon Village, we stumbled upon this charming spot for a Mediterranean brunch. The cozy ambiance and the no-fuss menu instantly set the tone for a relaxed meal. We ordered the meat shawarma, soup of the day, and Beirut beer. The soup arrived piping hot, paired perfectly with fresh bread, making it an ideal choice for the chilly weather. It warmed us up nicely and prepared us for the rest of our walk. The meat shawarma was flavorful, generously packed with well-seasoned meat, and accompanied by creamy hummus and a fresh salad – a hearty, satisfying combination. The Beirut beer was smooth and mild, rounding off our brunch with a refreshing finish. All in all, a straightforward yet delicious dining experience that provided the perfect fuel for our journey to the Wimbledon Stadium. If you’re looking for good food without any frills, this place is worth a visit!
