Ottolenghi - Notting Hill in City of London, Westminster

Only tried the sweet pastries - they’re good, but far from “the best I’ve had”. Will definitely come back to try other items on the menu.

Excellent food if you love Ottolenghi Style (vegetables, a variety of tastes, levante). This is a small deli, with some table back in the shop as walk in restaurant. I took take away only which was excellent but I would not enjoy the packed ambiance of these tables. Service was a bit annoyed that I had difficulty to hear them (quite noisy there). No good bye to a customer … already at lunch time (not the end of a long working day) is not good style…

The worst place I’ve been to.. paid 30 pounds for bland piece of fish that smelled like feet. I’d rather eat out of a bin. Disgusting

I visited the other day after reading the reviews. I bought a side dish and a cake and ate it, but the inside of the cake was sticky and there was a risk of food poisoning, so I stopped eating it. It's expensive and I won't go there again.

Certainly a very popular place. Loved our deli lunch, especially the aubergine and potato cakes. Meringue was gorgeous too. Great vibe, service and delicious food...

I have been following Ottolenghi for a long time, and now finally in London, his bakery was one of my top ten places I wanted to check out. My family and I felt unwelcome, as we were bothering the staff. We got one meringue and a polenta cake - both were dissapointing and expensive. I m afraid I’ve unfollowed mr. O on instagram 💔

I was there to dine in, however they did not have any sitting area. So I bought my brunch/lunch as a take out. The food was amazing flavoursome. I bought a copy of his first food recipe after a dish a colleague prepared. I am looking forward for a dine in experience and try the mouton dish. In the shop we can find most if not all the recipes from his first culinary book. I cannot wait to give it a try myself since I am not much of a cook.

Unexpectedly visited this bakery in need of a cupcake. Utterly disappointed by the customer service and left disheartened that after spending over £5 on my chosen chocolate dessert, my friend felt so uncomfortable I had to provide a review. Visiting from Jamaica, he accompanied me. Asked to use the toilet as we had just headed from gatwick, declined in a polite manner which is understandable. What followed was unfortunately guided by a racial undertone. The staff appeared uncomfortable and their body language confirmed this. I made a purchase because the there was attention to detail of the produce. The customer service needs investment. My friend felt unwelcome and judged. Ordered on their website for delivery, it arrived on time and their salads are soooo good

The spread at Ottolenghi's was amazing. We ordered quite a bit and enjoyed the savoury selections more than the sweets. The chicken, quiche, eggplant and brocolli were big hits! And the saffron rice was exceptionally good. Salmon was not as tasty as the sauce was missed out at packing. The sweets were rather too sweet although the pistachio rose cake was nice and flavourful. The hot chocolate was excellent as was the cappuccino. Pros : overall, what stood out was the quality of the ingredients. Cons: the place was narrow and it was difficult to move along the counter to order with the number of customers. I was happy to pickup a signed copy of OTK's latest book.

It was Ot-So-Yum-Mi !!! Tried a 5 savory Dishes and 2 Cakes and 2 Danish. All purchases were a delight to our taste buds !!! No seats inside just 2 stools outside for quick bite. … our family just stood outside and enjoyed the food :-) it was so delicious!!!

We ordered almost everything on the menu. The tastes were amazing. A perfect combination of food and art. The chicken plate was my favourite. I also recommend the desserts. The staff were nice and helpful.

Perfect little bakery. Too bad there is no seating space

Salad was nice, but some of the vegetables were raw, which I did not enjoy. Chicken was cold and bland, and seabass was also cold and very hard. Unfortunately, it ended up being very overpriced just to enjoy some roasted squash and aubergine.

Fantastic in every way!!! The food is incredible. Every dish is different and oh so incredibly tasty! My God it's a taste explosion in your mouth. The inside is bright, white and cherry. Great friendly staff and service.

4 out of the 7 days of the week - my household will eat here. Best harmony of quality in terms of ingredients, nutritional value, flavour and value for money, with no compromise in any of these criteria. The concept of the slight everyday spin on main dishes, with a changing sauce or marinade, is genius. It really helps it feel familiar and new at the same time, which helps me stick to a diet, by not giving me the chance to get bored. The permanent dishes, such as the sides all have some kind of unique exciting flavour to them, apart from being prepared so well, whilst being constructed around a cornerstone ingredient that is a staple for a healthy diet, which at times takes too long as a mid-week meal to prep on your own (like the white beans or chickpeas). Love absolutely everything, from the mains, salads/sides, to the cakes (not a cake person but their tea cake & the semolina one - always a dilemma if i’m allowing myself today to indulge *again*), one of the best focaccias, pantry staples (the Garibaldi biscuits - omg). All in all, it relieves so much decision making stress from my adhd mind, having an Ottolenghi nearby, really helped me carve a healthy diet. In love 💕

If you are in London you can not miss one of the "Ottolenghi" locations. This place it is iconic and I love their interesting mix of ingredients.

I think many would agree that Ottolenghi has changed and heightened our perception of flavour and taste, and there’s no going back! On my return to London I was excited to know I wasn’t staying far from the Notting Hill shop. The food is still up there but the service is woeful. I returned several times, and each time it was excruciatingly slow. The girls are like windup dolls whose batteries are flat and their pre-recorded messages had become skewed and confused. It was painful to watch as customers before me were trying to be patient and polite but their frustration was quite obvious.

What a wonderful little bakery shop. Everything here is delicious!

Ottolenghi Notting Hill is my pilgrimage every time I'm in London. The roasted veggies just melt in your mouth and the flavours are mind-blowing. My favourite thing ever was the grilled aubergines with tahini dressing and pomegranate seeds. Honestly, I will keep and keep and keep going back until I make it on a day when they have it again! The daily options change and it's always an adventure for the pallet.

I was so excited to visit after a recommendation from a friend. While I was waiting to pay, the counter person though readily overlooked me to let the man who came in behind me pay. As a young woman, these small moments really reflect which type of customers are prioritized.

Beautiful place to get incredibly tasty salads, savoury snacks and, best of all, a massive range of delicious cakes, brownies, cookies and so much more!

The most amazing cakes. They change all the time. Today's spiced pineapple cheesecake was sublime.

Ottolenghi Ledbury catered our wedding luncheon reception in May. The food was delivered on-time, and the communication in the months prior was immediate and so friendly! The food was incredibly delicious, by far one of the best meals I've ever had. All the guests agreed and everyone was over the moon with the food. I can't wait to cater with them again!

Fantastic food and place We are HUGE fans of yotem, we were extremely disappointed with the NOPI experience, we however loved the deli. Small plates of fresh food they serve everyday , There is no seating, you just choose what you want over the counter and it's a takeout.

The few goods purchased were excellent

During my recent visit to the restaurant, I had an unfortunate experience while waiting in line to place my order. Despite being in line for several minutes, the young female waitress failed to take my order. As someone of Asian descent, I was left feeling ignored and overlooked. While I understand that oversights can occur in any establishment, it was disappointing to have such an experience during my visit to this restaurant. I hope that the staff will take steps to ensure that all customers, regardless of their background, receive the same level of attentive service in the future.

Ottolenghi in Notting Hill is a shop with food and Ottolenghi produce to take away. It looks lovely, has a great vibe inside and there is a nice offer of ready to eat dishes to buy as well as desserts. We came 30 before closing and unfortunately most of things were bought which is understandable. Still managed to purchase some dishes like beetroots with rhubarb, potatoes with green asparagus. Flavors are unique and it’s definitely worth tasting.

Used to buy lunch here a couple of times per week but prices have become a joke. A non-organic pure veggie take-away salad without any form of protein this time cost me £25, so I think it’s time to say goodbye.

I ordered two salads online and was excited as I had only good things. So given all this i was prepared to pay the extortionate prices for what turned out to be completely ridiculous prices! £28 for 2 salads that are completely bland and horrible?? In what world?? I want a full refund.

7 people working at this little shop behind the counter and soo slow ! Terrible those ladies zero motivation to work, sleepy, rolling the eyes as it is busy, they are frustrated it is obvious.

Nice shop and lovely service but the coffee was not so good

It is one of the most desirable pastry shops. Really nicely presented foods and the customer service were wonderful. It's really recommendable. The company looks growing as they keep same way to deal with customers and same taste wherever Ottolenghi you visit. Love this shop.

Excellent service! The girls working there are the best, especially Charlotte Petra Goula and Andreea! I can’t start my day without a croissant and good vibes from the staff.

I used to buy my lunch here 2-3 times a week and a pastry most days. This has come to an abrupt end recently due to the rapidly increasing prices... Never have I seen such high bands of inflation. The parmesan pretzel used to be (two years ago) £1.80 it then rose to £2.20 (6 months ago) and then to £3.65 and today it has reached a record high of £4.10!!!! Ridiculous. There is no excuse for these v greedy prices. No longer would i visit or recommend this extortionate salad bar.

Sehr kleiner Laden. Aber sehr gute kalte Speisen und Süßigkeiten zum mitnehmen. Am Abend haben wir ein box mit sehr gute Nachspeisen mitgenommen. Das Personal ist sehr sympathisch und schnell. Laden schaut auch von außen sehr einladend aus. Wir kochen in Österreich zu Hause sehr viele Rezepte von Otto Lenghi. Schmeckt jedes Rezept einfach toll. Er verwendet immer die besten Gewürze. Wenn sie in London sind, besuchen Sie unbedingt eine von seine Laden. Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall 👍

Food is lovely. But savoury items are served cold

Hot chocolate is ok,average sweetness. A typical Italian chocolate I would say. Staff are lovely,layout is a bit cramped, and too much is on top of one another. Great for a coffee to go on a business day.

Food is incredible. Servers are really nice but there are so many servers behind the counter in a small space, it's pretty chaotic when it's busy.

We were staying in Notting Hill so we had to visit this place. The decor and whole concept is unique and the food is everything you would expect.

Cornelia in Ledbury road was extremely helpful! I couldn’t make it on time for the food, so she emailed me the menu and packed me a box of what I wanted in advance, so that I don’t miss out. Excellent service. Will definitely be visiting again. :)

Can't comment on dining options as it was Notting Hill carnival on the day and they did not have dine in options. The food display is quite a feast for the eyes and there are a lot to tempt you as you can see from my videos. 😝😍😛

This small restaurant has appetising salad type meals which are tasty and popular. Lots of ladies. Not many men, but they do sell beer. treat yourself .... and go!

Ottolenghi is the master of vegetables and salads. I could quite easily eat his salads every day if I lived in London. Do take note that this is the only ottolenghi that does not have seating. I made the rookie mistake of coming here and realising its take out only. You pick what you like and it gets weighed. My full box of salad cost £18.

This was the perfect spot to pick up a wonderful evening meal to enjoy at our short-term rental flat a couple blocks away. Choose from a couple fish dishes, a beef dish, roast chicken or vegetarian options. Then pick a side dish or two and one or two of the delectable dessert options. We were so impressed with our first meal we went back again. And then a third time. Nothing against the restaurants in Notting Hill, but we enjoyed relaxing after long days in museums and walking about. We can highly recommend Franklin Wine for some great advice and choices to go with your meal. It’s a couple blocks away.

This little place always leaves a best impressions! Hospitable hosts, specially GULA, her recommendations are sooo amazing, and always has a smile on Thank You Gula. They make delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I love coming back here every day again and again.

The freshest most delicious salads & cakes ever. Simple salads made to taste sensational. Cakes are out of this world. Small space, expect a queue, there is a small table with chairs around it- you are a lucky if you get a seat. It isn’t the cheapest food you will have, however it’s Ottolenghi’s food-one of the worlds best chefs. The Persian love cake is my favourite, recommended by a lovely staff member. It’s made of mahlab. If you don’t know look it up, because it’s delicious! LOVE the food here !!!!

Salads tasted amazing , but the grilled pork was way too salty… And there was no spoons with my bulgur salad(really annoying eating with a fork)

Avis très mitigé pour cet endroit. Autant j’aime beaucoup Ottolenghi et ses recettes, la boutique est toute mignonne et le présentoir à gâteaux fait vraiment envie… mais le service est juste catastrophique ! En take away il est commun que cela mette du temps pour vous servir, mais cela reste la meilleure solution si vous voulez profitez des douceurs gourmandes du lieu. Attention à plusieurs reprises ils vous facturent des produits non commandés, pensez à demander le reçu car ils ne le donnent pas systématiquement. Déjà que le lieu n’est pas donné, on n’a pas envie de payer encore plus cher. Sur place, là c’est vraiment pire que tout… après presque 10 minutes d’attente pour être placée à la table centrale pour le déjeuner, la serveuse me donne la carte après 10 nouvelles minutes, puis m’ignore complètement lorsque je lui fais signe ou l’interpelle pour qu’elle prenne ma commande. Deux groupes de deux personnes arrivés après moi étaient même gênés qu’elle prenne leur commande et ne daigne pas noter la mienne… je suis donc partie en ayant perdu près de 40 minutes et n’ayant rien pu déjeuner. Depuis je ne suis plus revenue, il y a d’autres options plus chaleureuses et plus rapides dans le quartier.

Carrot Cake was okay but pricey. Coffee was not enjoyable same about the stuff. Very unpleasant situation.

Purchased maple pecan small bites. They were so incredible that we went back after lunch to pick up some more but they were already sold out!

Gorgeous looking cake section by the window, with quite a wide range of cakes and desserts. I tried the banana cake topped with dulce de leche and it was delish. I wanted to try more items but even though they were plenty, none of them really felt like single portions and the price reflected that. Not saying it's expensive because you get your money's worth, just not ideal for trying lots of things. Most of the front of house was jolly and helpful apart from one of them who looked like she had a rough day and it reflected on her customer service.

I’m a huge Ottolenghi fan. I have several of his cookbooks and love his flavour combos but this spot is insanely expensive. £13 for a small mound of beans and some courgettes? Delicious of course but not great value for money. Experience inside the cafe is also somewhat frantic.
